It wasn't until I sat in a Highway To Zion gathering (Cathy Hargett, Founder, host) on Thursday night, Oct. 19, 2017 that I heard of Kippalive, and this song We Are Home. 

Cathy, having just returned from taking another group of Christian Zionists from Charlotte, North Carolina for the biblical feast of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) in Israel a few days earlier, was host to a small group of 10. The speaker that night was Glenn Haines of Operation Tarshish from Jerusalem.

Having a desire to see Jews return to their Promised Land, the entire land of Israel, Glenn shared on his work regarding aliyah. The rest of us were in full agreement - to do what we have been called to do in assisting Jews worldwide to go up, immigrate - make aliyah - to Israel. After he had finished his heart gripping message, Cathy played this Kippalive music video on her laptop. 

Because of that, you are thus seeing it shared now in this version of LoveMusic! My heart too burns with love for the Jewish people also - and helping Jews make it back to their homeland.

Listen. Observe. Be a part of this incredible Word of the Lord being fulfilled. 

These Jews are home. And millions more will follow. The Living God of Israel declared that centuries ago. It is truly being fulfilled now.

Laurie and I had the blessed time spending a few days in Tiberias at the home of Igor and his mother Raisa (Rachel). We had the delight to share a Shabbat meal in their home. 

We give thanks to the Lord in meeting new Jewish friends, and these believers from Russia.

When Jesus talked about the sheep…

When Jesus (Yeshua) talked about the sheep and their shepherd the people knew exactly what He was talking about.

Centuries have past, but the shepherds among the Bedouin in Israel do as they did then.

Watching the herd to the south of Jerusalem amazes me. And the shepherd keeps careful eyes on them.

¹¹ “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. ¹² The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. ¹³ The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

¹⁴ “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— ¹⁵ just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. ¹⁶ I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. ¹⁷ The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. ¹⁸ No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. Rainbow over Jerusalem

While riding the bus this morning to the Christian Friends of Israel office we saw a rainbow over western Jerusaelm. First one we have seen here due to the first rain we have expereinced since our arrival on Oct. 16, 2025. Thank You, Lord!

Oct. 22, 2025 Greetings to you once again. From Jerusalem! Laurie and I have now settled into the wonderful Christian Friends of Israel apartment provided for us these next three months. It is located just a mile from the USA Embassy (Hi Mike Huckabee!) in SE Jerusalem, and close to where Derek Prince passed on after his 15 years living here in the Land of Israel. I share more below. Ahava and shalom always to you, Steve and Laurie Martin P.S. We are amazed at how the Lord God of Israel has provided. Thank You, Lord! Feeling at Home in Jerusalem

“And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.” Exodus 14:19, NKJV

Have you ever wondered how many different ways the Lord leads you? He speaks to us using several methods. Either by Scripture (His written Word, logos), a spoken word (rhema), direction that seemingly comes out of nowhere through another person, or a prophetic word given in ministry through His vessels having that gift of the Holy Spirit. He speaks and guides even through songs we hear, books we read, movies we see, or His ministering, guardian angels.

I can’t say that I have seen or felt an angel in my presence, but heh, I will accept anyway the Lord, the Living God of Israel, choses to guide me. May that be the case with you too.

 

Laurie and I arrived on October 16, 2025, in the Holy City, the capital city of Israel, the city where Yeshua (Jesus) walked 2,000 years ago. In English it is called Jerusalem. The Hebrew name is Yerushalayim.

 

The Lord had spoken to us to bless the Jews and their Land beginning in 1989 at a conference in northern Michigan. Renowned Bible teacher, Derek Prince, among others, was one of the speakers. As many have heard my story before, his message, “Our Debt to Israel” was planted solidly in my heart. Our journey towards Jerusalem had begun.

 

Having then served a combined 24 years with one major ministry that was residing in this Land of the Jews (Vision For Israel with Barry and Batya Segal), two in the USA (Derek Prince Ministries and Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda Ministries), and 14 years on the Christian Friends of Israel USA board, the seed grew and flourished.

 

Laurie has been a great helpmate, providing in our Charlotte home, helping raise our four children Joshua, Benjamin, Hannah and Christen whom the Lord had blessed us with, and working with 2-year-olds for 20 years at Calvary Development Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. At the same time, we both established Love For His People Ministry in 2010.

 

Each of us had been, and continue to be, prepared for this time we are now in. Forty eight years of marriage also helped! (Trust me. Marriage takes the rough edges off. And then some.)

 

We feel right at home here in Jerusalem. Called, prepared, sent out, and now doing what the Lord knew from all eternity we would be doing. Hearing, obeying, and following the Holy Spirit’s (Ruach HaKodesh) leading got us here.

 

His grace, His mercy, His provision, His mentors kept us along the way. Each and every one were needed, and we are so grateful for all, as we have walked together in His plans and purposes.

 

I know so many of you are doing what you have been called to do also. Together we are all so blessed. Blessings on ye heads!
