Come and Go - latest book by Steve Martin

DEDICATION

With this, my 38th book, I dedicate to those who hear the Word of the Lord. And obey it.

First, to Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NASB).

And then, to those who hear and obey His command. “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation,” (Mark 16:15, NASB), taking His message of forgiveness, love, and grace to walk in His plans and purposes for your life.

May His Holy Spirit continue to guide you and lead you to the completion of the assigned mission He has given specifically to you. And be encouraged!

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

INTRODUCTION

When the Lord calls each of us to “come, follow Me”, He does so because He has a great plan and purpose for each of our lives. He knows what our desires are, but most importantly, He is the one who puts those desires in our hearts.

As you seek Him, He will lead you to places you have never dreamed of, giving you missions you had never thought possible, and will direct your steps to complete the total picture He has for you, as you take your place in His Body among the peoples of the nations.

My good and beautiful wife, Laurie, and me are going to Jerusalem this fall, October 2025, to volunteer with Christian Friends of Israel. It is my 30th trip to The Land and her 9th. We are blessed!

We have heard the word to “Come”, and now we have again heard the word of the Lord to “Go.”

And thus, we shall!

Blessings on ye head,

Steve Martin

"You are valued." New from Steve Martin, Love For His People

Aug. 13, 2025

Greetings to you once again.

Yes, we are counting down the days until we are "leaving on the jet plane". (John Denver sang that to his wife Annie back in the day.)

At the advice of trusted friends, you will notice a change in this communication. Knowing your "time is short", I have cut out and shortened this so that you don't get bogged down, and do take the time to read what I sense the Holy Spirit gives me for each message.

But I will always include a photo from Israel, to draw your heart closer to the one God, the Father, which He has for His people, the Jews. This is my daily prayer for many.

My new message is entitled, "Valued in His Eyes". Yes, you are!

Be blessed in your blessing others.

Ahava and Shalom,

Steve Martin

Love For His People Ministry

P.S. A shout out to my "Advisory Board", who gave good advice on communications with all of you, as they regularly respond to my emails. Laurie, Josh, Ben, Mary, Lisa - I treasure your knowledge and wisdom. Todah rabah! ("Thank you very much" in Hebrew.)

Israel Photo of the Week: Despite the recent negative global press coverage against the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), we wholeheartedly declare our support for them, a stance we've maintained for over 20 years. (Israel IDF camp in the Golan. Steve Martin with soldiers May 2005, on the Christian Friends of Israel - USA tour, Hannele Pardain, USA Director.)

Valued in His Eyes

“As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, and You place me in Your presence forever.”

Psalm 41:12, NASB

It used to be that a penny was worth something. In fact, I remember when, as a little kid, even as old as 10, my dad would bend down to pick up a penny off the sidewalk that had fallen from another.

“To some people, this isn’t worth the effort. But to me it is”, he would say. He knew what it was like to be poor, and made sure his family never was. Mom said he would tell her, “I work two jobs, 60 hours a week, so my family and I will never be poor again.” Louis Martin gave his all for his family. (I'll see you in heaven, Dad.)

As of 2025, each penny costs $.03 to make. So, the government is planning on doing away with it. I guess it is a good thing, then, that I took my pennies to the coin machine at Food Lion to cash them in last week. No one will pick them up off the street again. There will not be any.

Being thankful that the Lord continually shows His love and how He values us is so important to our self-esteem. Without His ongoing affirmation, approval, and encouragement towards us, the lies of the world would beat us down to the point that we give up, turn back, or simply quit.

We are valued in His eyes. He created us. He wants us to be with Him, in His family, now and forevermore.

He proved it then, and He proves it now as we spend time with Him.

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20, NASB (emphasis mine)

We are worth more than a penny. We are worth the life the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) freely gives us as we abide with Him in our daily walk. Keep on walking with Him as your guide.

Ahava and Shalom,

Steve Martin

Message #11 in my new series (2025): “Valued in His Eyes" - Aug. 8, 2025

My newest book was published on Aug. 1, 2025. "Come and Go - Hear the Word of the Lord" Steve Martin

Each must hear the word to “Come”, and then listen to the word of the Lord to “Go.”

May that be in your heart also, from the Father Who gives us the desires of our hearts.
