Fearing no evil? – Love For His People newsletter, Steve Martin, Love For His People

March 27, 2020 Charlotte, North Carolina USA

Greetings to Love For His People ministry friends and supporters.

So how are you doing? Are you standing in faith, keeping your eyes on Jesus, the Author and

Finisher of our faith? Or are you shrinking back in fear and over concern for the future

As many of our cities, states, nations are all but closed due to a near martial-law atmosphere,

what has your posture been? Siding with those who have been really, really shaken and

overtaken by all the hype.

Trust me, I am not making light of what is true, but it has gotten a bit overdone if you consider

all the other viruses that have come and gone, and life still went on as normal. Is that not right?

When was the last time all things have been shut down out of fear that you or I would catch it?

So what makes this one different? I truly believe the Lord is shaking the nations, especially the

gods that have ruled in many hearts – sports, entertainment, financial – anything apart from His

rule and reign in our lives.

What have you been trusting in? Or who?

We need to be ones who declare, in truth, that “as for me and my house we will serve the

Lord” – in faith and not fear. (Joshua 24:15)

Please read some encouraging words I have written. A few days ago I wrote: “What if?”

Know before it comes.

And today this one: “Fear No Evil"

We do not need to be afraid. We can be lights in this world that we have been saved and

called to be.

Be strong and walk in faith, not fear, today. With our Lord Jesus Christ that is the only way

we can.

Ahava and shalom,

Now that many of us are being “shut in” our homes, get this great book and travel outside
your door as you read along! An adventure!

Challenging times? Of course! Didn’t our Lord Jesus say we would have “perilous times” in
these last days? “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come…”
2 Timothy 3:1, NKJV

We are living in those times. Pandemics, tumultuous financial conditions, earthquakes,
droughts…with fear proving faith is little to be found, even among professing Christians.
I encourage you with these 21 messages of hope, faith, and love.

As you read, know that we will stand strong, because we are keeping our eyes on the One
Who created us. Because He has been Faithful, is Faithful, and will continue to be Faithful,
our faith in Jim can stand strong against the tests of times. And there will be tests along the road.

Don’t be caught unexpected. Prepare your heart and spirit to know the truth, walk in faith,
nd be the light in this world that you and I have been called to be.

Ahava and shalom!

Abraham Lincoln was born in North Carolina. True?

Abraham Lincoln was born in North Carolina. True?

According to the Bostic Lincoln Center museum’s historical displays in the small town of Bostic, North Carolina, about 1.5 hrs. NW of Charlotte, Abraham Lincoln was born to Nancy Hanks right here in North Carolina. Not in Kentucky has many history books had taught us, with Tom Lincoln as his father.
No, Thomas Lincoln was not likely his father. It was probably Abraham Enloe, when young Nancy lived with the Enloes in Rutherford County as a “bound out” girl. And Abraham seems to have been born in 1804, rather than 1809. When Nancy married Tom, she had a young, black-haired boy at their side after the wedding ceremony.
True?
After visiting the Bostic Lincoln Center, we certainly would tend to agree with the historical facts presented, along with the video we saw of those testifying of ancestral books, documents, and friends of Nancy Hanks during her stay here in the area.
If you have time, want a nice road trip out of Charlotte, then go see for yourself. After all, as the Bible says, everything will come to the light in time.
Enjoy the photos I took March 21, 2020 with my iPhone. I had forgotten my Canon Powershot camera at home!
