"Bob Jones' 1985 'Kansas City Royals' Prophecy Stirs Hope for Revival" - Jennifer LeClaire, The Elijah List

The Kansas City Royals rallied to win the World Series on Sunday, and many in Kansas City and beyond are shouting for joy—even if they are not hardcore baseball fans. That's because they are believing the prophets and hoping to prosper.
Indeed, the win was not only significant because it was the first time in 30 years the Royals took home the championship; it's significant because it fulfills a string of prophecies and stirs hope in the hearts of many contending for revival in Kansas City and America.
Mike Bickle, director of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC), shares a Bob Jones prophecy in the ministry's prophetic history. He explains that Jones prophesied during the 1985 World Series:
"God, the Holy Spirit is going to create worldwide attention to be focused on Kansas City ... That's the good news. Here's the bad news. The Lord is going to do it through the baseball game.
"It looks like Kansas City is down and out and will never make it and suddenly at 5 till 12 the Lord brings the victory in. That's the spiritual message over this movement breaking forth in this city.

When it looks like it is five till twelve and Kansas City is counted out. Suddenly at 5 till 12 the Lord's breaking in victory."

Later, Jones told Bickle: "I heard it! I heard it out loud. I heard it in my dream. I heard the voice of the Lord. It spoke resounding. I heard it very clear. The Lord said, 'Eleven is the number because it's the 11th hour victory. It's the 11th hour victory He's going to give Kansas City."
The 1985 match went down in baseball history as the "Miracle World Series" because it looked hopeless. From the outside looking in, it didn't appear there was any way the Royals were going to pull out a victory. Kansas City was down three games to one and had to win four in a row to take the crown. Thirty years ago, Jones went on to tell Bickle:
"You're going to be counted out many times by people and at 5 till 12, in the 11th hour, the Lord is going to break through and this prayer movement is going to succeed and it's going to get the attention of the entire earth. This is going to happen. You wait and watch the baseball league."
Of course, this was long before IHOPKC was going hard 24/7 with worship and prayer. It was before a generation of youth started contending for revival. And this was before Bob Hartley, founder of Hartley Institute/Deeper Waters Ministry in Kansas City, had six dreams about the drama of the Kansas City Royals. Here's the bottom line of those prophetic encounters:
"Watch the Royals, because after many years of disappointment, the Royal ones are entering into a time of Numbers 27:18-23, where they are being commissioned to enter into the promises. Watch them, as they will win and bring a shift from hopelessness to hope ... This is going to be like 1985. Do you remember what brought them home? ... Hope unseen will get them to first base. Then they will become unburdened and light on their feet.

This carefree hope will get them to second base. They will be filled with joy and happily steal third base with childlike hope ... but salvation will come from an unlikely place and 'hope against hope' will bring them home."
And then it happened. The Royals won the World Series in 2015 after a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to San Francisco last year. As the Associated Pressput it, "For these resilient Royals, no deficit is too large, no time in the game too late."
At a time when hopeless is striking the heart of America and men's hearts threaten to fail them for fear of economic meltdowns, plagues, earthquakes and other evil prophetic forebodings, the words of Jones and Hartley are ringing in the ears of Believers around the nation believing for a Third Great Awakening.
Could God be speaking words of life and hope—and revival—through a baseball game?

"World Champions! A Prophetic Sign to the Church from Prophet Bob Jones, As Kansas City Royals Win World Series" by Bob Jones, Submitted by Bonnie Jones - The Elijah List

The Royals had come from behind again for an 8th time in their 11 postseason games, securing their first World Series title since 1985 (click here for story).
It's been thirty years since Bob Jones' prophecy that the Kansas City Royals would be World Champs. In the spring of 1985 when Bob brought this wild and outrageous prophecy, the Royals were in the basement. People laughed and sneered at Bob calling him a false prophet, but God would prove him to be trusted and true. The Royals began to rise in the stats and go on to win the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the fall of 2010 Bob was in a powerful trance where the Father took him to a baseball field and reminded him of past revelation. He also gave Bob understanding of the present condition of the Church and things to come. I want to share this powerful experience, which also includes both "Baseball Prophecies" from 1985 and 1995.
These prophecies were parables to the Church, establishing love, faith, godly wisdom, grace and justice. After thirty years (that represents the royal priesthood), Kansas City once again holds the title of winners of "The World Series". I believe the fact that the Royals made a comeback in the 12th inning scoring 5 runs says there is grace for the royal priesthood of Believers to establish new government. And they will be the "World Champions" as you will read in Bob's last prophecy about the Church being International.
Be blessed as you read these exciting prophecies. Congratulations Kansas City Royals!

Home Base
A couple of weeks ago, I was in a high level trance; one of the highest ones that I have known in recent years. The Lord came and took me to a field and it had been covered with snow for two years. We walked out on this field and He told me to uncover a place where He pointed. So I began to rake the snow away from the place that He said, and I realized it was a baseball plate. I didn't rake off all of the snow I just saw it was a baseball plate.
And He said, "That's all I want you to see. This is home base and now the sun will melt the snow off of the rest of it. You did all I want you to do right now. I just wanted to show you that this is home base."
I believe the Church is getting ready to come back to the bases. And home base is also the beginning and the end. It's where you start, and it's also where you win. I believe that we had a start, but I think we're coming into a year of winning.
Then He said, "Do you know what home base is?" And I'm thinking, No not really. He said, "I've given you revelation in the past where home base is. But mainly home base is going to be repentance and prayer. These things that I've shown you in the past, I can begin to bring it in step-by-step." He said,"This field had been snowed under for two years."
So I believe the Church is going through two years of really hard, dark times. It was like we didn't know where to go, and it was like a blanket of snow was on everything. I don't think this snow meant righteousness. I think it meant two years of trouble.
These two years of trouble were coming to an end because it had accomplished some of the things it was meant to do.
Field of Dreams
He said, "This base is international!" So I'm not speaking about one church here; I'm speaking about the Church worldwide.
And He reminded me that twice before I brought a prophecy about a baseball game. Also that it reminded me of a movie called, "Field of Dreams." So I think for two years we've been plowing things under in a time of not knowing what we were doing. But we were doing our best to obey what He was telling us to do just like the Field of Dreams. I believe that this "Field of Dreams" is getting ready to be revealed like it was in the movie. He told me to just repeat what you did twenty-five years ago.
Kansas City Royals – 1985
On May 21st of 1985, I brought a word in Kansas City about a baseball game, and it was about the Kansas City Royals. At that time the Kansas City Royals were then in the cellar. They hadn't won a game in quite a long while and nobody was paying much attention to them.
My word was this, "The Kansas City Royals was going to come forth and was going to begin to win. They were going to be world champions in 1985."(Photo via flickr)
This is what I saw in the vision: I saw that it was the last half of the 9th inning and satan's team was in the field and the Lord's team was at bat, and the Lord's team had two outs.
So the Lord sent in His first batter and this batter was Love.
So satan pitched the ball and Love swung and it was a base hit. One on.
Love is the thing that's going to be the base. Love has got to be the basis of all things in Christianity.
And I believe this is the year true Christians are going to be known for the love they have for one another. True servants of the Lord. They're going to be brought into a place of loving one another to where they have total control over their tongue, over their conversation, and how they express and present things.
These three things: conversation, expression and presentation are going to be done in love. There's no defense the enemy has against love.
Instead of gossip, slander, and all of these wrong things, I think that when true disciples of the Lord speak, it will be something you want to listen to. Because if they haven't got something good to say about somebody, they won't say anything. But when they're saying something good about somebody you want to hear about it, because it's going to be the truth.
So, the first batter was Love. Well, faith worketh by love.
Then the Lord sent His second batter out and His name was Faith.
Faith pleases God and he can't fail. So, satan pitched the ball. Faith swung. Base hit. Two on!
So, I believe the Lord is calling us to a place of faith. Faith to me is three things. Humility to me is simply being obedient to the written Word of God, the logos, for it is the law book that shows us how to grow up. And if you grow up, your conversation is going to be right. I believe there's a work in humility that I could also call obedience, but you can also call it faith.
These three things I see as one: humility, obedience, and faith.
You cannot study the Word without adding faith to it. If you obey it, then faith is going to automatically begin to move in you because you believe the logos. Then the living Words will start coming out of you. When it does, that faith can swing and it will be a base hit.
Then the Lord brought out His third batter. His name was Godly Wisdom.
And satan pitched the ball, and Godly Wisdom looked over the ball and let it pass. Satan pitched the second ball; He looked it over and let it pass. Satan pitched a third ball; Godly Wisdom looked it over and also let it pass. Then satan pitched a fourth ball; Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass.
You see, Godly Wisdom won't swing at what satan is throwing at him.(Photo via flickr)
Many times satan throws us things and our tongue can speak it, but Godly Wisdom won't allow it. Many times Godly Wisdom is in our ambitions and everything, because the enemy opens doors the Holy Spirit is not opening for us, and we enter those doors by not discerning whether the Lord wants us to or not. We should go to Him.
When a door opens, we should go to find out who opens it, and you'll know real quick-like. Is it love? Is it faith? Well, if it's these things then it will be our witness to what the Holy Spirit's opening. But if it's our ambition, like money, then many times the enemy opens that door to distract us.
So Godly Wisdom looks them over and lets them all pass. Bases loaded! And the Lord is sending in a pinch hitter. Nobody's ever seen him before, and I don't think this generation has seen him.
His name is Grace; great Grace.
So satan winds up and pitches. It was a tremendous hit. And satan's hollering, "Don't worry about it. I've got beelzebub (another name for satan or demon) in center field and he's never let a fly get by." By the way, flies mean lies. And so the ball is going to center field and beelzebub is hollering, "I got it! I got it!"
But it went right through his glove and banged him in the head, and down come beelzebub. Home run! Grand slam!
Why didn't Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom get you through? They are only steps to prepare you for great Grace, and great Grace will get you home. The others will get you one base but great Grace will get you home!
I believe we are starting the Season of Love. And as we begin to love one another and be known throughout the world by the love we have for one another, we'll begin to see faith really rise up and get an answer to things.
We'll begin to see the Body of Christ mature into Godly Wisdom to where we totally bridle our tongue so that when we speak, things happen. These are all a preparation for great Grace to get us home.
This was a parable of the Kansas City Royals when I brought it in 1985. They were in the cellar when I spoke this prophecy. I was pretty young in prophecy then and was really sweating it because it went all over town, and everybody said we'd know he's a false prophet because that's not going to happen.
Well, the Royals began to win immediately and they kept winning. They advanced to the World Series and the final game was played in Kansas City against the St. Louis Cardinals. After six games played they were tied with three games each. This was the final game of the series.
And if I've ever seen a fix, Papa had a fix in on this game because the Cardinals were a powerful team, and everybody said Kansas City doesn't stand a chance because the Cardinals are a far better team. They had a far better coach and all the money was bet on the Cardinals. (Photo via flickr)
So the game was played. It really got frustrating for the Cardinals because everything they did disintegrated, while everything the Royals did ended in home runs. It finally ended with the Royals 11 – Cardinals 0. I believe that number 11 is important because we are getting ready to start 2011.
Atlanta Braves – 1995
In 1995, I attended a MorningStar conference in Fort Mill (in South Carolina). I was living in Panama City, Florida and I was on my way up there. I was thinking of that baseball game, and that I needed to bring that prophecy again.
(Paul) Keith Davis was driving me and said, "Bob, I think you ought to bring that prophecy again." I said, "That's my confirmation." When I got there, I told them I have a prophecy I want to bring and I started sharing the baseball story with them. I hadn't heard this before, but as I shared it I said, "This year it will be the Atlanta Braves," and I didn't know that till the second I spoke it. But Atlanta Braves will be the World Champions this year. So needless to say we really watched the baseball games that year.
It was the sixth game of the World Series played in Atlanta against the Cleveland Indians. The score was 0-0 going into the last half of the 9th inning and Atlanta had 2 outs, and a man by the name of David Justice comes up to the plate. He hit a home run. I believe "David's Justice" has a real meaning to it. And Atlanta was the winner that year. They became World Champions.
I believe the Lord is talking about world champions.
World Champs – The Church
Now this is the third time I'm bringing this prophecy. He didn't tell me the name of a baseball team. There's going to be winners. I think He said the Church is the winner this year. I think the Church has sort of been in the cellar. Like literally, on our knees praying.
I think the Church is going to come out of the cellar and out of the dark place.
The cellar is dark. I think sometimes the cellar can be a comfort zone. I think we're going to come out of our comfort zone and we're going to come out into the light. And I think you're getting ready to see these four things working in the Church this year: Love bringing forth FaithGodly Wisdom, and get ready for Grace to come to the plate.
(Photo via Pixabay)
Home base: I think everything He's talking about is home base. Everything He's talking about here will be international – worldwide.
I think we're getting ready for our Father's game to start, and I don't believe the enemy's going to be able to stop the ball from rolling. And no matter what he pitches at the Church, the Church is going to knock in a home run, because I think our Daddy has got the fix in. And I think He's appointed the Church to begin to be aware this year – to where those that don't know Him will see there's something behind these people that are representing Him.
So I think that snow has melted and the trouble is long gone. I think spring is getting ready to spring forth in the Church, and I believe you're getting ready to hear the song birds again; praise on a level like we've never heard before. I think the long, hard winter is over but the trouble in the world is only beginning. And I think the trouble in the true Church is coming to an ending, by us joining one to the other in love.
For there's no weapon the enemy's got that can defeat love. So get ready for love to be the main message you'll hear.
And you don't have to worry about the faith because if you have love it will come. Where you have that love and that faith, it will discern to where Godly Wisdom will have its way.
I believe we're in a time of tremendous change.
In a time where you're going to see Christians with a smile on her face because they're going to be world winners. Get ready because you're a winner! Our old winter is gone and you're the World Champions. It's getting ready to be revealed worldwide this coming year.
Bob's Prayer for the Body
In Jesus name, I do bless you. And let your eyes open to see that love will enter into you and have His perfect work in you and bring you to that place so you'll be a vessel of love poured out to all who come your way. In Jesus name, amen.

Bob Jones' 1985 'Kansas City Royals' Prophecy Stirs Hope for Revival - JENNIFER LECLAIRE CHARISMA MAGAZINE

"Shepherd's Rod Dream: The Year of Crazy, Substantial Hope" - Bob Hartley

"Shepherd's Rod Dream:
The Year of Crazy, Substantial Hope"
Bob Hartley, Kansas City, MO
The Elijah List

Every year I looked forward to the revelation that my very dear friend, Bob Jones, would receive annually during this season that he called the Shepherd's Rod. The term "Shepherd's Rod" comes from Ezekiel 20:37 stating, "I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant."

This Scripture symbolically portrays a shepherd extending his rod as the sheep pass under his staff for evaluation. In this same way we, as the Lord's sheep, pass under His staff during this season as further described in Jeremiah 33:13 and Leviticus 27:32. (Photo via Pixabay)

On the night of September 24th as I went to sleep, I was unaware that at sundown it was the start of Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the Hebrew New Year as the Lord gave me the following dream.
This dream was immediately followed by a series of baseball dreams that were to be signs and a parable blending together to create a new hope narrative.

The "Crazy Hope" Dream

I saw the Lord and Bob Jones standing together, and Bob was smiling and looking back at me knowingly.
Then the Lord said, "This is the year of crazy, substantial hope."

Then I saw many sitting around the Table of the Lord whom He was about to address. There was such communion, love, and honor. Then the Lord took His place at the Table. I was overwhelmed with the presence of the Lord. He was so alive. He was so much fun.

But He made it very clear that this year the Body of Christ was being evaluated in their hope. He was graciously inviting us deeper into crazy hope reform during the shepherd's rod evaluation. This was not just a time of evaluation but also of promotion.(Photo via Pixabay)

The Lord then said again to all of us around His Table, "This is the year of hope, crazy hope, and I am evaluating the Body of Christ according to hope." This was going to be a Hosea 2:14-15 year where the valley of Achor (challenges) becomes a doorway of hope. The Lord said,"This is the year we are shifting from hopelessness to hope."

He continued, "There are many in the Body of Christ who have been challenged about thepromises of reformation that I have for My cities and nations." He said during this past year doubts had attracted many problems. Our own doubts and fears led us to operate outside of hope. This is sin, and it allows the enemy to attack, overrun our camp, and take the territory from us. He spoke how we are to be like Joshua, who realized that after 40 years in the wilderness it was time to enter the Promised Land.

Then the Lord said, "The time capsule is opening up now for the promises, and it is time to step into your inheritance."

He said that the antidote to these doubts is Hebrews 6:9-19: "But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you... And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

"For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, 'I WILL SURELY BLESS YOU AND I WILL SURELY MULTIPLY YOU.' And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise....

In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast..."

The Lord said we are called to be like a family or tribe. He then identified many churches, movements, families, and tribes where divine hopes would remain alive. He said, "You are to live in an atmosphere of hope, not doubt."

He then spoke how many of these families or tribes would hope together this year, and reform would touch many cities and nations across the earth.

He was very clear when He said, "There are no insignificant persons, churches, movements, families or businesses... everyone is important in My family." (Photo via Pixabay)

Self-Initiated Hopes

Then the Lord spoke to various individuals around the Table. The first time He would point to one and so kindly say, "You initiated this hope, it was not originated from Me. You have defined your own hopes and they will fade away. But now I want you to come back to My Table with others and please ask of Me about your hopes. It is the glory of kings to search out a matter. I have ordained hopes for you that are better than you have ever conceived. I have greater Divine hopes laid up for you."

This continued as everyone was graciously evaluated in hope. This was a good evaluation. He continued, "This is an invitation to a season of growth."

He then said that self-initiated, natural hopes die. This evaluation process was very good because many people were holding onto hopes that did not originate from His heart. These natural hopes had sidetracked many from the greater hopes that He desired to release to them.

Then the Lord evaluated our hearing to see if it led us to His hope. He said, "This year I am releasing a greater level of Kingdom hearing that will enable us to enter into what I am birthing upon the earth."

Next the Lord evaluated our hopeful praise and crazy hope adoration. Adoring Him and His faces of reform would take us above the clouds of doubt and despair into His hope-filled perspective and presence. He said, "Now is the time to double our adoration and praise."

Then He stated that our time of warfare has ended (see Isaiah 40:2) and we are to enter the sunlit fields of life with Him with crazy hope (see Psalm 56:13 MSG).

The Lord then said, "The weapons of your warfare will be different in this coming season" (see 2 Corinthians 10:4).

The Lord then showed me four snakes that had attacked our hope as we were to bring reformation to our spheres of influence. These were similar to the snakes I wrote about in the Reformers of Hope word in September 2013. One snake would wrap around our feet to stop us from moving into our promises, and the Lord said it would be defeated by "hope against hope."

Another wrapped itself around our necks to silence our voices of adoration and praise, and the Lord said it would be overcome by "hope unseen." The third attacked our hearts, and the Lord said it is conquered by "carefree hope."The last one bit the liver to release bitterness and bile, and it was defeated by "childlike hope."(Photo by Thomas H Brown, Flickr)

At the end of the dream I saw Bob Jones looking off into the sunlit fields with the Lord that were open for all the different tribes, and I heard the Lord say to all of us, "Now is the time to rewrite your promises list." It is time to develop our revelatory skills and revealed promises. He continued, "I am going to take your hand like the pen of a ready writer, and you will write out your list of promises and hopes. Some will come from your past list, and some will be present or future."

This is our commission for the coming year of crazy hope: to write and birth and celebrate crazy hope.

Royal Dreams

Now concerning the six dreams I have received concerning the drama of the Kansas City Royals. First, please understand that I am not a baseball fan nor do I follow the Royals. However, when I was in Kona, Hawaii, the first week of September, I had a dream where I saw royal angels coming forth. The Lord then said, "Watch the Royals, because after many years of disappointment, the Royal ones are entering into a time of Numbers 27:18-23, where they are being commissioned to enter into the promises. Watch them, as they will win and bring a shift from hopelessness to hope."

I did not understand fully what this might mean, but I immediately called Chris Castanza, one of my ministry teammates, and told him to "Try to get tickets for the entire staff, as we are to watch the Royals."

My second dream came the night after Rosh Hashanah, September 25th, three days before the Playoff teams were finalized. In this dream the Lord was talking with my mentor, Bob Jones. The Lord then turned to me and said, "This is going to be like 1985. Do you remember what brought them home?"

I remembered Bob Jones' baseball dream from 1985, how love, faith, and godly wisdom would get on base, but grace would bring them home. And I remembered how the Lord had asked Bob,"Do you know why Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom could get on base, but they could not win the game? If your love, your faith, or your wisdom could win for you alone you would think that you had done it. Your love, your faith, and your wisdom can only take you so far. Only My grace can bring you home."

Then the Lord showed me the Royals game. I saw the Royal ones playing a team whose appearance was more athletic than the Royals. Similar to the Bob Jones dream, the Lord then showed me what was needed to win. He said,"Hope unseen will get them to first base. Then they will become unburdened and light on their feet.

This carefree hope will get them to second base. They will be filled with joy and happily steal third base with 'childlike hope.'" The Lord continued, "But salvation will come from an unlikely place and 'hope against hope' will bring them home." (Photo by Keith Allison, Flickr)

The Kansas City Royals would demonstrate to all of us how to enter into this year of crazy hope, and through these four hopes we would win and enter into our promises.

Perhaps a local sportswriter, Grant McMurray, described it best. "In the end, ...a screaming line drive down the third base line by a much-coveted young catcher, but one mired in a horrible 0 for 5 slump in the game,
sometimes swinging haplessly at pitches, looking completely lost. But this ball smacked against the wall and ended a four hour and 45 minute classic, propelling the Kansas City Royals past the Oakland A's 9-8, and extending to another day their first post-season tournament appearance in 29 years."

The article continued, "The wonderful 'Salvation' headline was much more than a clever spin on the name of a redeemed player. It was about this city, this team, these individuals. And if the cable sports channels, the radio talk shows, and the social media have it right, it would seem to be a time of hope and redemption for us all."

Third Dream

The following night, September 26th, I had my third Royals dream. It was a shorter dream, and the Lord said, "The angels will sacrifice themselves in order for the Royal ones to come forth."He continued, "They shall win in 11 innings." Then he gave me Psalm 11:1, and emphasized how hope is indispensable in building the right foundations that will bring about reformation. The Royals won in the 11th inning.

Fourth Dream

The next night was a forth dream. In this dream the Lord said that the Royals would win 4-1. This reinforced the previous dream and represented the four hopes that are so necessary for our foundation. The Royals won 4 to 1, again in 11 innings.

Fifth Dream

The fifth dream on October 3rd was where the Royal ones had gotten over the hump and were gaining momentum. The Lord said, "Hope is contagious. Hope is a lifestyle." The Royals won easily and head to the American League Championship Series.

Sixth Dream

The last dream was on October 6th. This dream was not specifically about baseball. The Lord reminded me of several tragic and disappointing events that my wife and I experienced as missionaries in Zimbabwe. At the conclusion of revisiting these past events, the Lord said, "You have to fall to get back up," and, "Crazy hope will win!"

I will leave it to the reader to interpret this as the Lord leads. Stay tuned for further revelation!
