For the upright will inhabit the earth, The blameless will remain in it. Proverbs 2:21 (The Israel Bible™) כִּי־יְשָׁרִים יִשְׁכְּנוּ אָרֶץ וּתְמִימִים יִוָּתְרוּ בָהּ Hear the verse in Hebrew kee y’-sha-REEM yish-k’-nu A-retz ut-mee-MEEM yi-va-t’-RU VAH   Steadfast Commitment The word eretz, translated here as ‘earth,’ also means ‘land.’  According to Jewish tradition, this is a reference to the Land of Israel.  In this verse, King Shlomo (Solomon) reminds us of Hashem’s  (God's) promise to the Israelites in the desert, that if they walk in His ways, they will remain in the land which He has given them (see Deuteronomy 4:1). The Land of Israel is promised to those who remain steadfast in their commitment to God’s words, not only in deed, but also in thought. More on divine promises

Today's Israel Inspiration Today's verse is a prophecy told by Jeremiah who relayed God's message that despite the unimaginable destruction experienced by the Jews who lived in that time, and having witnessed the horrific burning of the Holy Temple, there would once again be a day when the people of Israel will inhabit all the corners of the Holy Land, from north to south, east and west.
