We hear about terror in Jerusalem. It is pain in the heart of Israel, Jerusalem and our hearts can be crushed in tears.
I am thinking of the urgent need to for us to intercede for this precious city, the City of Gold. God wants it to be peace in this city and love to flow like a river among people. He wants people to be able to walk in the streets in peace.
In Isaiah 62:1 is written, "For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace and for Jerusalem's sake I
will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her salvation as a lamp that burns."
We understand here about the importance to keep praying for Israel and Jerusalem. In Isaiah 62:6 we read, "I have set watchmen on your walls, oh Jerusalem. They shall never hold their peace day or night."
Jerusalem is the city where Jesus (Yeshua) will come back. I think it is so important to pray for Jerusalem and Israel. Some can pray more and others less but

every prayer is needed.
I also think that there needs to be tears while in prayer for the city. This is a crushed heart before God in pain for the city.
When I read from Lamentations 2:18 I know that it is good to pray with tears. When I read "Their heart cried out to the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night, give yourself no relief, give your eyes no rest. Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches, pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward him."

In Genesis 12:3 is written "I will bless those who bless you." I believe that God gives back if we pray for Israel and bless Israel in other ways.
