Today's Israel Inspiration

Isaiah's stirring words take on incredible meaning in our generation, as the Land of Israel stands at the forefront of the world’s attention like never before. Efforts to vilify the Jewish State seem to expand every day across the globe, as does the growing movement of Biblical Zionists who stand with the nation of Israel as an expression of their commitment to God’s word. In just two months, the Holy Land will be celebrating 50 years since the reunification of Jerusalem in our times, the historic outcome of the 1967 war. With the anniversary only weeks away, Israel365 is already gearing up to rejoice Jerusalem's jubilee! Now you can join the celebration by bringing Jerusalem into your home and into your hearts with our collection of Jerusalem products.

"If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem"

The lyrics of this beautiful song come from the Book of Psalms 137: 5-6 and are in fact recited at every Jewish wedding so that every bride and groom will remember that Jerusalem should always be at the forefront of our hearts and our minds.

As Jerusalem Jubilee Approaches, Knesset Seeks to 'Reclaim' Temple Mount

The Israeli parliament has, for the first time, proposed establishing a government body focused on strengthening the connection between the Jewish State and its holiest site: The Temple Mount.

What Goes Inside the Rectangular Mezuzah Case?

Inside every rectangular mezuzah case is a parchment. On that parchment are two paragraphs of the Torah hand-written by a specialist known as a 'Sofer'. The 'Sofer' is trained for many years in how to properly write the words on the parchment, and also on how to have the proper intention and focus while he is writing the word of God. A 'Sofer' is also generally trained in writing Torah scrolls, and the parchments held in the Phylacteries worn by men during prayer.

Sharon Gabay's image features a snowy day just outside Jerusalem's Old City walls. The walls were built in the early 16th century by the Turkish Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, with eight gates in its perimeter. Suleiman mistakenly excluded an important site: the City of David and David's Palace were later discovered close to, but not within, the Sultan's walls.

21 Israeli Charities Gifted With Over $2 Million From John Hagee Ministries at “Night to Honor Israel” [WATCH] - JNS BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

21 Israeli Charities Gifted With Over $2 Million From John Hagee Ministries at “Night to Honor Israel” [WATCH]

“For Tzion’s sake will I not hold My peace, and for Yerushalayim’s sake I will not rest, until her triumph go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a torch that burneth.” Isaiah 62:1 (The Israel Bible™)
John Hagee Ministries distributed more than $2 million to Israeli and Jewish charities Sunday at the 35th annual “Night to Honor Israel” held at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.
Twenty-one Jewish and Israeli organizations supporting aliyah, the IDF, medical care for the needy, education, and terror victims, among many other causes, received the donations from Pastor Hagee in a large celebration for the Ministries’ supporters.
“Christians and Jews are spiritual brothers,” said Hagee at the event. “We are united. We are one.”
“Israel’s enemies are our enemies, and we are with you through thick and thin!” he declared, garnering a standing ovation from the audience.

Organizations receiving support from Hagee Ministries included: Afikim Family Enrichment Association, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Bikur V’Ezras Cholim, Friends of the IDF, Galilee Medical Center, Heart of Benjamin, Herzl Institute, Herzog Hospital, Holocaust Memorial Museum of Houston, International Council of Young Israel, Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum, Jewish Agency for Israel, Just One Life, Koby Mandell Foundation, Megemeria School (training for new Ethiopian immigrants), Ohr Torah Stone, Nefesh B’Nefesh, Netanya Academic College, Save a Child’s Heart, Shurat Hadin and the Women’s International Zionist Organization.
Hagee Ministries has distributed more than $98 million to Israeli and Jewish charities since holding its first “Night to Honor Israel.”
Plant roots in the Holy Land. Help the Land of Israel grow and flourish! Plant a family tree in Israel!
In his remarks, Pastor Hagee, who besides leading Hagee Ministries is the founder and national chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), touted the continuing growth of Christian Zionism and the threats Israel faces.
Hagee also called for the U.S. Congress to pass the Taylor Force Act, which was named in memory of American veteran Taylor Force killed by a Palestinian terrorist in Israel in March. The bill seeks to cut funding to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if they continue their policy of paying monetary rewards for terrorism.
“We must not give one dime to the Palestinian Authority so long as they continue to support terrorism in both word and deed,” Hagee said.
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton served as the evening’s keynote speaker, explaining the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
“If Israel is not secure, the United States is not secure,” Bolton said.

Israelis and Evangelicals Allying to Defeat BDS - By Tuly Weisz BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Israelis and Evangelicals Allying to Defeat BDS

“For Zion’s sake will I not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her triumph go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a torch that burneth.” Isaiah 62:1 (The Israel Bible™)
There are nearly one million Israelis living in the United States forming roughly one third of the entire pro-Israel Jewish camp. However, Adam Milstein, chairman of the Israeli-American Council (IAC), hopes to have an even larger voice in support of Israel, by connecting Israelis living in America with Evangelical Christian Zionists.
Sitting down with Breaking Israel News, Milstein explained that the IAC sees the Evangelical community as natural allies in the fight for Israel. “We share the same values, the same beliefs and share a common enemy.”
While the American Jewish establishment has been slow in accepting the friendship and support of the Christian Zionist community, Milstein sees the IAC differently: “Israelis are more pragmatic”.

The real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist is one of the leading voices in the fight against BDS through his prolific presence on Social Media. Milstein was named one of the 25 most influential people on ‘Jewish Twitter’ and writes a regular column for the Huffington Post.
“I look at BDS as a movement to eradicate the State of Israel. It’s not about the economy. They want to destroy us,” Milstein told Breaking Israel News.
However, Milstein’s warning about BDS takes the argument a step further. He has used his platform on social media to call out notorious leaders of BDS for not only their anti-Semitic vitriol, but their animosity towards America.
NO to BDS and YES to Israel!
“BDS leaders hate America’s leadership role around the world,” Milstein wrote in the Huffington Post, quoting Purdue University professor Bill Mullen, who said, “We can build a still-stronger BDS movement beginning in the name of Palestinian freedom and ending in a permanent blow against American empire.”
Milstein warned, “BDS leaders hate America’s democracy – and have even called for violent attacks to overturn our democratic system.” He cited Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian, the founder of Students for Justice in Palestine who incited a San Francisco rally, who said, “Are you angry? Well, we’ve been watching intifada in Palestine, we’ve been watching an uprising in Iraq, and the question is that what are we doing? How come we don’t have an intifada (armed struggle) in this country…and it’s about time that we have an intifada in this country that change[s] fundamentally the political dynamics in here…They’re going to say [that] some Palestinians are being too radical; well, you haven’t seen radicalism yet!”
For these reasons, it’s a mistake to see BDS as a Jewish problem, claims Milstein.

Of late, Milstein has expanded his network from the influential Jewish mega donors such as Sheldon Adelson and Chaim Saban, with whom he co-founded the Campus Maccabees in June 2015.
For his most recent article, Milstein joined forces with Pastor Carlos Ortiz and co-authored “A Common Fight: Why Christians and Jews are Coming Together to Defeat Hate and Intolerance”.
In the article, the Israeli-American Jew and the Hispanic Pastor warn, “We must not be fooled: BDS was born from a radical Islamic ideology in the Middle East that not only hates Judaism, but also Christianity and America.”

Sharing Love From Sweden - ISRAEL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS by Eva Haglund

ISRAEL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS
Eva Haglund
Sweden

We hear about terror in Jerusalem. It is  pain in the heart of IsraelJerusalem and  our hearts can be crushed in tears.

I am thinking of the urgent need to for us to intercede for this precious city, the City of Gold. God wants it to be peace in this city and love to flow like a river among people. He wants  people to be able to walk in the streets in peace.

In Isaiah 62:1 is written, "For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace and for Jerusalem's sake I
will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her salvation as a lamp that burns."

We understand here about the importance to keep praying for Israel and Jerusalem. In Isaiah 62:6 we read, "I have set watchmen on your walls, oh Jerusalem. They shall never hold their peace day or night."

Jerusalem is the city where Jesus (Yeshua) will come back. I think it is so important to pray for Jerusalem and Israel. Some can pray more and others less but
every prayer is needed.

I also think that there needs to be tears while in prayer for the city. This is a crushed heart before God in pain for the city.

When I read from Lamentations 2:18 I know that it is good to pray with tears. When I read "Their heart cried out to the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night, give yourself no relief, give your eyes no rest. Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches, pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward him."

In Genesis 12:3 is written "I will bless those who bless you." I believe that God gives back if we pray for Israel and bless Israel in other ways.

Israel/ Yisra`el, the country  needs our prayers now and  there are also many Jews who need to make aliyah to Israel. They too need our prayers.
