In Historic First, UN Names Israel Head of Permanent Committee by Ariella Mendlowitz - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

In Historic First, UN Names Israel Head of Permanent Committee

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Yerushalayim, they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ‘Ye that are the LORD’S remembrancers, take ye no rest.” Isaiah 62:6 (The Israel Bible™)
Israel has made history at the United Nations.
For the first time since its inception into the organization in 1949, Israel was elected on Monday to head a UN Legal Committee. Specifically, the Sixth Committee, which manages such issues as legal questions and fighting global terrorism. As Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon will chair the committee for the upcoming UN General Assembly (GA), reported The Times of Israel.
“I am proud to be the first Israeli elected to this position,” said Ambassador Danon upon his win. “Israel is a world leader in international law and in fighting terrorism. We are pleased to have the opportunity to share our knowledge with the countries of the world.”
The Western European and Others Group (WEOG) in the UN, whose turn it was to pick a chairman for the committee, nominated Danon for the job. Among the WEOG’s pro-Israel countries are Australia, Canada, and the United States. In 2000, Israel became a temporary member of the WEOG and joined permanently in December 2013.
According to The Times of Israel, the chair positions of the GA’s main committees are appropriated on a rotational basis and are typically confirmed without need for a vote. But in this particular case, Yemen, on behalf of the Arab Group, challenged Israel’s nomination and demanded a vote be held.

Despite months of behind-the-scenes diplomatic struggles and ferocious anti-Israel campaigning, however, 109 nations voted in favor of Danon’s appointment. (The election process only included votes that were cast for the particular candidate and did not include ‘nay’ votes.) The election was held via secret ballot in which all 193 members of the UN could vote.
“We will not allow dictatorships and anti-Israel countries to harm our standing in the international community,” said Danon. “We are a full member of the UN and any attempt to deny us of our legal rights in this organization will be met with uncompromising rejection.”
Ambassador Danon’s election received widespread support among many of the UN’s member states, led by the US and European countries, according to Ynet. Some of his supporters even took to social media to wish the Ambassador congratulations.

Jerusalem Inspiration

Throughout history, the 'watchmen' of Jerusalem have taken many shapes and forms; guardians through might as well as those who protect the holy city through prayer.  One Christian organization, Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN) has taken up the torch as a modern watchman of Jerusalem by invalidating and uncovering the lies behind the anti-zionist BDS movement.  Their latest documentary project, entitled Hating Israel: In Search of the Truth Behind BDS, is true to its name. PJTN’s unique methods of exposing the BDS lies make for an educational and enlightening experience.  Join the campaign to uncover the lies behind BDS.

The Anti BDS Video that Will Make You Laugh

Take a peak at the new documentary that is exposing BDS for what it really is: anti-semitism at its worst, and one big bad joke.

The Joke is On BDS

In their latest documentary project, entitled Hating Israel: In Search of the Truth Behind BDS,  PJTN exposes the fallacy of BDS, and reveals its hatred and lies about Israel, through humor!

The Hamsa Necklace is painted with enamel and decorated with beautiful Swarovski crystals and bead patterns. The Hamsa is a common motif in Judaism – It is thought to protect against the “evil eye.” It is derived from a common symbol often used by Sephardic Jews who hailed from Middle Eastern countries.

Sharing Love From Sweden - ISRAEL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS by Eva Haglund

ISRAEL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS
Eva Haglund
Sweden

We hear about terror in Jerusalem. It is  pain in the heart of IsraelJerusalem and  our hearts can be crushed in tears.

I am thinking of the urgent need to for us to intercede for this precious city, the City of Gold. God wants it to be peace in this city and love to flow like a river among people. He wants  people to be able to walk in the streets in peace.

In Isaiah 62:1 is written, "For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace and for Jerusalem's sake I
will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness and her salvation as a lamp that burns."

We understand here about the importance to keep praying for Israel and Jerusalem. In Isaiah 62:6 we read, "I have set watchmen on your walls, oh Jerusalem. They shall never hold their peace day or night."

Jerusalem is the city where Jesus (Yeshua) will come back. I think it is so important to pray for Jerusalem and Israel. Some can pray more and others less but
every prayer is needed.

I also think that there needs to be tears while in prayer for the city. This is a crushed heart before God in pain for the city.

When I read from Lamentations 2:18 I know that it is good to pray with tears. When I read "Their heart cried out to the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night, give yourself no relief, give your eyes no rest. Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches, pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward him."

In Genesis 12:3 is written "I will bless those who bless you." I believe that God gives back if we pray for Israel and bless Israel in other ways.

Israel/ Yisra`el, the country  needs our prayers now and  there are also many Jews who need to make aliyah to Israel. They too need our prayers.

I want to walk like He does...

Today, I want to walk like He walks...

...being a daily servant to all.

...in faith, for all good things He has appointed me to do.

...seeing the big picture with world glasses, and not with my microscope.

...knowing the Holy Spirit is guiding me.

...standing for who He stands for,
supporting Israel and the Jewish people
 with all that I have.

...declaring His victory over my family, friends, co-workers, and the world.

 ...knowing He is Messiah!

...in love, and not hate or regrets.

...praying the Aaronic blessing over all.

...declaring His blessings, as I look to His guiding hand.

Praying daily for His promises to be fulfilled in the nations...

...and aim for the heart!

...with all my heart.
