God of the Breakthrough - Steve Martin, Love For His People Ministry

God of the Breakthrough

“…David defeated them there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.” 1 Chronicles 14:11, NKJV

During a recent church gathering, as the worship time proceeded with praise and declarations, I envisioned the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, sitting on His heavenly throne, extremely aware of what was going on in all the earth. He wasn’t passive. He wasn’t asleep. He wasn’t sitting idly by uninvolved in the matters of men and women on the earth. He was passionately watching and waiting.

Then He arose from His seat, and as He did I saw what looked like bombs exploding in different nations of the world. He Himself was the One directing them. He was sending breakthroughs.

And then He roared, as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah would do, further establishing the breakthroughs in the countries.

Breakthrough from lockdowns. Breakthroughs from lockups. Breakthroughs in sickness, drought, weariness, depression, suicidal thoughts, abandonment.

Breakthroughs from obstructive governments, controlling politicians, authoritarian rules and regulations.

He is the God of the breakthrough.

In the late ‘90s Rob Critchley of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship came to lead worship at our three-day conference here in Charlotte, North Carolina. He delivered a very powerful song I believe he had written, entitled I Will Call Upon the Name of the Lord (God of the Breakthrough)Proclaiming the truth of calling on the Lord for deliverance, release, and breakthrough, we knew of His promises to come through as we did so.

What an encouragement it is to know that our God, the Creator of the Universe, is acting on our behalf to bring the breakthroughs we so desperately need in these times of trouble, unbelief, rampant destruction, and the onslaught of the enemy against our minds, emotions, and very being.

What a comfort it is to know that we can call upon the Name of the Lord, the One who fights on our behalf, the One who delivers us and brings the breakthrough we long for in these last days.

“O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.” Psalm 116:16-17, NKJV

Call upon the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, and He will draw near to you. Call upon the Name of the Lord, seek His face, trust in His love, faithfulness, and courage, to see Him overcome that which keeps you from walking in freedom and fruitfulness.

Our God is bringing the breakthroughs as we actively call upon His Name. He is releasing the captives, those held in bondage, from that which keeps them from knowing His deliverance and victory. He is the mighty Warrior.

“The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea; and the choicest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea. “The deeps cover them; they went down into the depths like a stone. Your right hand, O Lord, is majestic in power, Your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy. And in the greatness of Your excellence You overthrow those who rise up against You;” Exodus 15:3-7, NASU

“The Lord will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies.” Isaiah 42:13, NASU

Call upon the Name of the Lord every day. He is the God of our breakthrough.

“Be Aware & Press On!” – Now Think On This by Steve Martin

“Be Aware & Press On!” – Now Think On This by Steve Martin

June 7, 2020 Love For His People ministry in Charlotte, North Carolina USA
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10, NKJV
When I read Lana Vawser’s message this morning, a highly respected prophetic voice from Australia, and posted it on our website Love For His People, entitled “FIGHT TO STAY AWAKE!”, I said to myself, “That’s it!” The enemy of our soul has been trying to wear us out, tear us down, so that we will just stop and sleep.
Not me. I am not going to let the enemy win. I know the Lord is on my side. And yours too.
In brief she said, As I had these beautiful divine interruptions of the Lord taking place, and the invitation to embrace, yield and lean into them, I saw a huge demonic figure enter into the vision. This demonic figure was large in stature, and in different peoples lives it would show itself differently. This demonic figure was sent on an assignment to come against believers and its assignment was to DECEIVE, to DISTRACT and to bring a DISENGAGEMENT to the DIVINE INTERRUPTIONS the Lord was bringing.

These three areas stood out to me so strongly:

1. Deception

2. Distraction

3. Slumber

This demonic figure was on assignment to cause such a slumber over many to not recognise the importance of the hour we are in. It was coming on assignment to cause distractions so there would be so much “double vision” and so much opposition to hinder God’s people from deep places of encounter with the Lord and what the Lord is saying and partnering with the wisdom and blueprint of God, and there was an overall feeling of ‘slumber’ that was coming with this assignment of the enemy to cause many to feel like they just want to ‘sleep’.”
After you have finished reading this message from me, I encourage you to read the full one of hers on our website Love For His People, entitled “FIGHT TO STAY AWAKE!”.
As for me, with the battles raging in the nations against the seen – pandemics, racial strife, media madness with fake news, political upheavals and ongoing spreading of lies – just to name a few, and the unseen in the heavenlies, the enemy of our spirit, soul, and body is not giving up, thinking he can win.
But he can’t! He won’t! The Lord has already written the last chapter of the Book, and He wins!
We must be aware that war is war. It isn’t a game that we can just shut on and shut off, as if walking away from the video game. We may think we have the choice to just “sit this one out” and let the game-changers do it all, you know, the “gifted ones”, but we can’t. We must not. We will not.
By His grace we push on, we fight on, we take our stand for righteousness, justice, continually seeking to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Until the end has come and His throne is established on earth in Jerusalem.
We must not allow ourselves to grow weary in doing good.
Again, for encouragement, “So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10, THE MESSAGE
You may have been in this wearisome battle, in a particular area of your life, where you struggled against disappointment, job loss, family conflict, medical condition, the uncertainty of tomorrow. Haven’t we all in some form or another!
As an example, for me, for the 4th time in two months, I will press on and push forward. The enemy WILL NOT have his way in my life. I will re-schedule our trip to Israel for another time yet this year. The gates will open! The appointed time will come! That which our Lord has called us to will not be stopped by the one who hates us and continually battles against us.
“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering. You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God, who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm. To him be the power forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:8-11, Complete Jewish Bible
My friends in faith, I encourage you to realize that the battle is not yours but the Lord’s, and He is fighting on our behalf. He has already overcome death by His resurrection from the dead, and He is the one giving us the new life and new strength, new courage, to press on and stand strong. Our Lord is roaring from Zion! The Lion of the Tribe of Judah!
Don’t give up. Don’t sleep it off. Be aware, and fight on. It will be worth it in the end.
And I will see you too at the finish line!
Now think on this.

"Don't be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself" (Phil. 1:28, NIV).

Before getting up to minister recently, my wife sensed that I was battling intimidation. She leaned over to me and whispered, "Your new name is 'Confidence!" Immediately, a lion roared inside me, and an alarm went off in hell. I rose up to minister, and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah took over the meeting. The Lord is renaming you today also. Your new name is "Confidence!"

Laying Aside

I have found a key that unlocks the cage of that lion who lives inside of us as believers. "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us" (Heb.12:1 KJV).

"Laying aside" is a powerful command that changes our perspective. When you lay something aside it is still there, but you don't focus on it, for the next verse says, "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith." Now when intimidation attacks me, I have learned to lay it aside and do what God has called me to do.

The devil works overtime to steal our confidence to do the work of the Lord. But we are not alone. The Lord allows our insecurities and fears to be exposed to deal with the root of them. So be encouraged and don't stop. When you feel insecure or fearful, lay it aside, and get up and let the lion roar. God is faithful. "Faithful is He who calls you, who also will do it" (1 Thess. 5:24, MEV).

I received an email recently from a dear sister who plays the piano for masses. She was fighting insecurity about performing perfectly at a special upcoming ceremony. I sensed the Lord giving me this word for her, "Lay aside your fear. Jesus will play the piano." Hours later, she sent me this response:

"PRAISE REPORT! I just finished a run through the music and Jesus did indeed play the piano! I had to keep reminding myself that He was doing it and I didn't need to stick my nose in. When I first saw my friend Rachel, she asked me if I was ready. Very unlike me, I answered, 'Yes!' PTL."

The Root of All Fears

Most of our insecurity and fears are surface symptoms with a deep root. The Lord deals with our weaknesses to make us strong. I have battled insecurity and fear most of my life. It started the moment my head hit the road so hard that it caused a bone growth on my forehead. The bike wreck happened when I was 5. The trauma of what followed with surgery and doctor check-ups for most of my younger years opened the door to a giant fear, a door that never got shut until recently.

I spoke at a conference recently in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I was checking out hotel prices. They were so high I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night. I kept looking around for a reasonable priced one. I found it. 'The Cemetery Inn" near the battlefields. Arriving home after that weekend, greeting my wife, she said, "So-and-so called, and he wants you to call him about those two cemetery plots he offered you a long time ago." I couldn't help but think.

I just came from The Cemetery Inn, and now someone is offering me two cemetery plots at half price. The half price concerned me too. I said, "Lord, I don't like the timing of this. I just came from ministering for You all weekend. What is going on?" Two days later, I was to meet the brother at the cemetery memorial park to sign the transfer papers. After I arrived, I got tired of waiting in the office for him, so I went outside.

When I walked outside, all I could see were grave markers. As an eerie feeling came over me, the Lord spoke, "Son, this is the root of all your fears your whole life: Every doctor visit and the fear of every report of your physical exams. You are afraid to die. You battled it since the moment your head hit the road when you were 5 years old. When you were 7 with a brain tumor, death hounded you again. Then 14 years ago, with a blood clot in the artery of your heart with a 50-50 chance of survival, it stampeded you again. Three days later with a heart catheterization, your heart stopped on that table, and they jumped it back to beat again. Have you noticed by now I have never let you die? I still hold the keys to hell, death and the grave."

He continued, "What do you think about the Scripture that says, 'To be absent from the body is to be present with Me?' No pain, no doctors, no devil. Fully alive in My unspeakable presence forever and ever? What are your thoughts on this?"

For a moment, I was speechless. He was right. I just faced my worst fear that had made me vulnerable to an endless list of others. And I failed to compare it to eternity. That day, I found peace in a cemetery. As I left those grave markers, He spoke again, "By the way son, the same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in you. Go live. Go live. Don't be afraid of living. Enjoy every minute of it."

What's your fear? Losing a loved one, a job or your reputation? Maybe you are afraid to die and afraid to live. Drag your fears to Jesus today. Let His peace envelop you and His perfect love cast out all fear. Tell Him you are in this for the long haul no matter what.

God's Crazy Love Does It

In my worship time recently, I heard the Lord whisper, "I'm crazy about you, Bill. I'm absolutely crazy about you." I said, "What? Lord, why would You be crazy about me? I fall so short of Your glory." He said, "I know, but you trust Me. You still trust Me to do what you cannot do. That thrills Me. That's what makes Me crazy about you."

How about you? Do you know that you can thrill Him? Trust Him today, and you will experience His crazy love for you and His peace that surpasses all understanding. 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.' The Lord would rather have us trust Him than figure Him out.

Let these words redeem our time on earth:

I wanna live like there's no tomorrow; love like I'm on borrowed time. It's good to be alive.— "It's Good to Be Alive," Jason Gray

LoveMusic! - Paul Wilbur "Dance with Me"

Paul Wilbur "Dance with Me"

April 27, 2019

Greetings LoveMusic! listeners,

When your spirit connects with His Holy Spirit, it is simply captivating. And you just want to be with Jesus that much more.

As I sat in my prayer chair this morning, I began to hear, "Dance with me" in my mind. It was the song that Paul Wilbur had on his "Lion of Judah" album from 2002, recorded in Jerusalem. A great album by the way! (As usual with Paul.)

With my 20th trip to the Lord's Promised Land to the Jews coming May 1 (in 4 days!), my spirit, soul, and body long to be with our friends in the Land. My good wife Laurie and I very much so look forward to that time = when it will last longer than 10 days.

Listen and enter into Yeshua HaMashiach's (Jesus Christ) presence. May you dance with Him, now and forever, amen.

The Passover Lamb is the Lion of Judah

The Passover Lamb is the Lion of Judah

Jesus (Yeshua) came first as the Suffering Servant,
the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world.

He will return as the Lion of Judah!

Yeshua HaMashiach

"Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due? His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

But the Lord was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.  Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:1-12, NASU)

1 "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?

2 O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent.

3 But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.

4 Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You delivered them.

5 They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.

6 But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised by the people.

7 All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8 "He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!"

9 But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother's breasts.

10 I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother's womb You have been My God.

11 Be not far from Me, For trouble is near; For there is none to help.

12 Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled Me.

13 They gape at Me with their mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion.

14 I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It has melted within Me.

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death.

16 For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet;

17 I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me.

18 They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.

19 But You, O Lord, do not be far from Me; O My Strength, hasten to help Me!

20 Deliver Me from the sword, My precious life from the power of the dog.

21 Save Me from the lion's mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen!
You have answered Me.

22 I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.

23 You who fear the Lord, praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And fear Him, all you offspring of Israel!

24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

25 My praise shall be of You in the great assembly; I will pay My vows before those who fear Him.

26 The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever!

27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations shall worship before You.

28 For the kingdom is the Lord's, And He rules over the nations.

29 All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship; All those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive.

30 A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation,

31 They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, that He has done this.
(Psalm 22, NKJV)

"And when they came to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a Skull, they gave Him wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink. And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.

And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there. And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS." (Matthew 27:33-37, NASU)

"And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?" 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.

4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."

6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.

8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:

"You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice:

"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!"

13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:

"Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!"

14 Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever." (Revelation 5)
