The nations continue to watch Israel.

The nations continue to watch Israel, as the Living God shows His plans and purposes being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Am Yisrael Chai

The phrase “Am Yisrael Chai” can be translated as “The People of Israel Live” or “The Nation of Israel Lives,” and has both Jewish and Zionist meanings. Today it’s also used as a patriotic phrase, as an equivalent of “Long Live Israel.”

The word “Chai” – meaning life, living, or alive – itself has a very special meaning and long history as a Jewish symbol.

Grieving Mother Defiantly Vows to Stick It to Hamas by Having More Children

Sunday, December 16, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff
Where one has fallen, many more shall rise.
Shira Ish-Ran, 21, recently experienced every mother's nightmare. She was the most critically-wounded of seven victims resulting from last week's terrorist drive-by shooting in central Samaria.
While Shira survived, her 30-week-old baby boy, delivered via emergency Cesarean section following the attack, did not.
Such an experience would cause most people to crumble and lose all hope.
Not Shira Ish-Ran.
A day after her prematurely-born son died, this resolute Jewish woman vowed to stick it to the Palestinian terrorists who had visited upon her such pain and suffering by having "many more babies."
While it remains unclear which Palestinian terror group was responsible for the shooting, Hamas issued a public statement praising the atrocity as "heroic."
Shira was having none of it. Speaking to local media after burying her baby, she said: "I will prove to them, I will show them. I will bring many more babies into this world. Am Yisrael chai."
The goal of such terrorist attacks is to scare Jews away from resettling their biblical heartland. They often have the exact opposite effect, as Shira Ish-Ran demonstrated.
