In the above verse, Isaiah’s prophecy of the impending salvation is combined with a vision of the birth of a child. Throughout the preceding three chapters of Isaiah, the Prophet combined prophecies of redemption with announcements of upcoming births. These dual themed prophecies signify that even if the present situation is difficult, the future will be brighter and full of new life. With a nationwide network of soup kitchens, Meir Panim serves the neediest of Israel. Although these individuals are currently living in difficult circumstances, Meir Panim encourages their brighter future.
