Tim Tebow Releases Official Trailer for Upcoming Movie - CBN News Emily Jones

Tim Tebow Releases Official Trailer for Upcoming Movie
01-24-2019
CBN News Emily Jones
The official trailer for Tim Tebow's first movie "Run the Race" is out and it is already making waves.
The trailer was released Wednesday evening on Facebook and it earned more than 300,000 views in a matter of hours.
Tebow co-produced the film with his brother Robby. The story follows the life of Zach and David, two fictional brothers grieving their mother's death and father's sudden abandonment.
They turn to football and faith to handle their devastating loss, but it isn't easy.
"Zach, who's an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brothers' ticket out of town. When a devastating injury puts Zach — and his dreams — on the sidelines, David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and points Zach toward hope," the film's synopsis reads.
Tebow hopes the movie sends a positive message about God's love.
"I wanted to be part of something that's encouraging and inspirational to the viewer. I believe 'Run the Race' accomplishes this by showing two brothers struggling with real life, but them getting through it by supporting each other and their faith," Tebow said in a statement. "I hope those who see it can walk away with more faith, hope, and love."
Although Tebow isn't the one in front of the camera this time around, he can identify with the two brothers in the movie.
"There are a lot of similarities in my life between two brothers supporting one another, having each other's back, believing in one another," the former NFL quarterback turned baseball player said. "My family and my brother have always given me so much support. That's made such a big impact on me being able to go after my dreams."
"Run the Race" hits theaters  Feb. 22.

'Jesus is on Your Side': Tim Tebow Preaches Powerful Message to Fans

Pro-athlete Tim Tebow preached an inspiring message for fans on his Instagram page this week.

Tebow starts out by comparing life to a football game in a video titled, "Jesus is on your side."

"If we were playing in a game right now and we were down by a huge margin, 50 to nothing, in the
middle of the game and it's still the first quarter. But we knew, we just knew that at the end we're going
to have a miraculous comeback, how much confidence would we have?" he asks.

"That's what we get in life. Sometimes for some people we are down 50 to nothing in the first quarter,"
Tebow continued. "But when we know Jesus, at some point in our game, we win. At some point, we
come back. At some point, our MVP steps up and balls out for us."

The Heisman Trophy winner has had his share of trials.

Tebow went from being a winning quarterback with the Denver Broncos, to getting traded after the
first season. He was cut or released from three more teams until he left football altogether.

"When you're going through that, what do you have to hold onto?" Tebow told CBN News. "What is
your foundation? Who are you? And more importantly, whose are you in your relationship with Christ?"

Now he plays minor-league baseball in the New York Mets organization. But even his career path in
baseball was tested when he suffered from a broken hand in July.

Still, these setbacks have yet to stop him.

The outspoken Christian serves hurting people through his Tim Tebow Foundation. He is also producing
a new movie called "Run the Race," and has written several inspirational books.

Tim Tebow Shares Video of Friend Walking His Bride Who
Was Told He Would Never Walk Again

CBN News Steve Warren
Former NFL quarterback and now minor league baseball player Tim Tebow took to Instagram
recently to share a video of an amazing accomplishment by his friend Chris Norton walking his
bride down the aisle during their wedding after being told there was a chance he would never
walk again.

According to the Des Moines Register, Norton suffered a spinal cord injury in a college football
game almost eight years ago which left him in a wheelchair. Doctors gave him only a 3 percent
chance of ever regaining any feeling or movement below his neck.

He made a promise to himself back in October that he would walk his fiancé Emily Summers
down the aisle during their April wedding.

The couple's wedding took place last week in Jupiter, Florida.

Tebow shared a video with his followers on Instagram of Norton walking down the aisle of their
outdoor wedding with Emily's help. It didn't take him long to cover the seven yards.

Tebow wrote, "I wanted to give a special shoutout to my friend of the last 7 years, @chrisanorton16,
for his incredible fight & determination to walk his fiancé down the aisle. You are a fighter and a hero.
God bless you brother, you did it!"
But their wedding wasn't the first time, the couple had inspired others. They walked ten feet together
back in 2015, so Norton could receive his degree from Luther College.

Tim Tebow’s Shocking Story About John 3:16 ‘Coincidence’ Goes Viral
01-07-2018
A video of former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow recalling an amazing Biblical ‘coincidence’ in his life is going viral on social media.
The story begins with Tebow in his college football years. It was 2009 and he was weeks away from competing in the highly televised national championship football game.
Tebow said God led him to write John 3:16 under his eyes for all the world to see while he played.
“The next six weeks leading up to the game I was really agonizing and contemplating what verse and God kept bringing up to my heart and my head John 3:16 which is the essence of our Christianity. It's the essence of our hope,” Tebow said in the video.
After winning the championship game he found out something incredible happened- during the game 94 million people googled John 3:16
“Honestly my first thought was ‘How do 94 million people would not know John 3:16?’” Tebow said. “I was just so humbled by how big the God is that we serve.”
But that’s not where the story ends.
Fast forward three years to 2012. Tebow is a Denver Bronco playing the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs, and after the Broncos won, he headed into the post-game press conference when his public relations representative stopped him in his tracks.
"He says, 'Timmy, did you realize what happened?' I was like, 'Yeah, we just beat the Steelers. We're going to play the Patriots.' And he was like, 'No, do you realize what happened?’" Tebow shared.
"He said, 'It's exactly three years later from the day that you wore John 3:16 under your eyes,'" Tebow continued. "I was like, 'Oh, that's really cool.'"
"He said, 'No, I don't think you realize what happened. During the game you threw for 316 yards, your yards per completion were 31.6, your yards per rush were 3.16 , the ratings for the night we're 31.6, and the time of possession was 31.06 and during the game 91 million people google John 3:16 and it's the number one trending thing on every platform,’” Tebow shared.
“I was just standing there in the hallway about to do this press conference just thinking that that night was about a football game. It really wasn't... we serve such a big God,” he continued.
Tebow believes God did something miraculous that night.
“The God that we serve is a God of miracles,” he said. “I just have to be willing to step out and say ‘here you go, God I’m going to give you my fish and my loaves of bread and watch what he does with it.”
