Christian Drilling Company Strikes Oil in Northern Israel - Israel Today

Christian Drilling Company Strikes Oil in Northern Israel

Wednesday, February 14, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff
Zion Oil & Gas several months ago began drilling at its new license in the Jezreel Valley, following the vision of company founder John Brown, who believes vast amounts of oil will be found in the Holy Land to the benefit and blessing of Israel.
The Dallas-based Christian-run company announced on Tuesday that it has found clear evidence of oil at the well.
During operations to clean the well bore, Zion reports that it encountered "free-flowing" oil while circulating the drilling mud.
This is a big breakthrough, and offers more than a little hope that there are, indeed, substantial oil deposits in the Promised Land.
In a statement released by the company, Zion's President and Chief Operations Officer, Dustin Guinn, said that this "is obviously very exciting news and as a result, we have decided to continue to drill up to another 70 meters (about 230 feet). We expect that to take a couple of days, and barring any operational difficulties, we will continue with our open hole logs immediately thereafter."
Zion CEO Victor Carrillo cautioned that the company cannot yet "comment on the commerciality or ability to successfully produce the well," and urged backers and shareholders to "continue to pray for safe and successful drilling...and for God's wisdom for management as we make key decisions in the following days and weeks."

Christian Oil Company Begins Drilling in Northern Israel - Israel Today

Christian Oil Company Begins Drilling in Northern Israel

Friday, June 09, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
After years of planning, preparation and fighting for the relevant permits, Texas-based, Christian-owned Zion Oil & Gas officially began drilling in northern Israel this week.
For years, Israel Today has been covering the progress of Zion Oil, a company that exists solely to bless Israel (and, by extension, those who bless her - Gen. 12:3) by discovering the natural resources the Bible suggests lie below the surface of the Promised Land.
Zion Oil "exists because of God's faithfulness to Israel," company founder John Brown told Israel Today in 2011.
At the time, Brown was convinced that the Land was just waiting to spill forth its bounty for the Children of Israel. And he remains convinced of that today.
The new drilling site is located in the Jezreel Valley region of northern Israel.
Zion Oil's Megiddo-Jezreel License is firmly situated in the Levant Basin, an area that experts estimate holds up to 6.6 billion barrels of oil.
The coming months are going to be very exciting for Zion Oil, and the entire nation of Israel.

Zion Oil & Gas Nears Drilling Phase in Northern Israel - Israel Today

Zion Oil & Gas Nears Drilling Phase in Northern Israel

Wednesday, October 26, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff
Zion Oil & Gas, Inc. (NASDAQ GM: ZN) announced today that it has met and complied with two key conditions set by Israel’s Petroleum Commissioner, enabling it to move toward drilling its next deep oil well, about 40 kilometers (~25 miles) south of the Sea of Galilee, where the Jordan and Jezreel Valleys meet.
The State of Israel produces only a few thousand barrels of oil a day, which means it relies on the global market for more than 99 percent of its consumption. Zion Oil & Gas is committed to discovering a domestic supply of oil, which is a vitally important resource to ensure Israel’s strategic and financial security, and in so doing to bless the nation.
“We are excited to have successfully negotiated a drilling contract with DAFORA S.R.L. as well as completing and submitting our drilling engineering plan,” says Victor G. Carrillo, Zion’s CEO.  “Reaching these two milestones, combined with signing agreements with both Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu on whose property the drill pad will be situated, and the Israel Land Authority (ILA) to access and utilize the drill site, allows us to start drill pad construction soon.”
Zion’s oil well drilling contract is with S.C. Daflog S.R.L., the Israeli-registered entity of and related party of DAFORA, a Romanian company.
“Given that DAFORA has drilled over 1,000 wells in Romania, Eastern Europe and East Africa, we are confident they are the right partner for our Megiddo-Jezreel #1 well in Israel,” Zion’s President, Dustin Guinn, said. “Zion will use DAFORA’s F-400 drilling rig, currently stored in Israel, to drill to about 4,500 meters (~15,000 feet).”
“We plan to award the drill site construction contract as soon as our outside engineering firm finalizes our site plan to accommodate DAFORA’s F-400 rig,” said Mr. Carrillo. “Assuming no further weather or regulatory delays, drill site construction should begin in November and take no longer than about 60 days to finish.”
In preparation to drill, Zion has spent almost $1,000,000 on necessary well drilling equipment, including well casing, and long lead time items. The Company’s final step before spudding the well is to submit the drill site plan along with its application to drill to the government for final approval.
This all depends, however, on raising significant additional capital (which is by no means assured). In addition to their ongoing Direct Stock Purchase Program (DSPP), Zion is currently offering a public bond program with 12% annual return.
“We think this program offers a unique opportunity for interested investors to both move our drilling operations forward while also benefitting from a generous return,” Mr. Guinn describes. “We are facing a final date of October 31, 2016, for this current Bond Offering for those wanting to participate.”
Zion is dedicated to exploring for oil and gas onshore Israel. We are 100% focused on our Megiddo-Jezreel License, a large area of about 99,000 acres south of the Sea of Galilee.  Zion has been granted the exclusive right to explore in an area that appears to possess the key geologic ingredients of an active petroleum system with significant onshore exploration potential. We intend to start drilling our deep exploratory well, the Megiddo-Jezreel #1, as soon as possible, assuming sufficient capital is raised.

The Hebrew name for Joseph is Yosef, meaning “he will add,” alluding to his mother Rachel’s desire to be blessed with more children. A deeper meaning relates to Joseph receiving some of the most abundant material blessings in all of the Torah. His ancestral land includes the green fertile Jezreel Valley in northern Israel. Zion Oil has begun exploration in the “deep that lies below” Joseph’s land, searching for valuable oil that may be uncovered in his blessed soil. Dig deeper into Zion Oil’s “Joseph Project” with their fascinating free books.

Oil for Israel’s Security

The Obama administration has for the first time refused to reissue its contract with Israel guaranteeing them an oil supply in a time of conflict, leaving Israel more in need of its own oil supply than ever before.

Israel365 has been such an eye opener to the rich history of this nation. The bible verses have led me to many sites to explore of the truth of God. Thank you so much. Maseru Lesotho

I live in London, United Kingdom, but having been visiting Israel from 1966, I have driven over its different borders, and love this superb country and its people, hence my return on a regular basis. Love the open spaces in particular, and the desert all the way to the Dead Sea & Eilat. Its special beauty, silence & special wild life as well as its botany... love it... So appreciate the photos which immediately transport me there in an instant... Keep them coming. Ayee MdC

God's Black Oil in Israel ✡ "Blessings of the Deep"

He will bless you with the blessings of the heavens above, the blessings of the deep, lying below... may they come to Joseph's head.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Today's verse may be just the clue for finding oil in the Holy Land! Jacob gave these beautiful blessings to his son Joseph, thereby blessing the ancestral land of Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Menashe. With a firm belief that the Torah is true and timeless, with no extraneous words, it is possible that the northern Israeli land delineated to Joseph's sons has "blessings of the deep, lying below." John Brown is a Christian Zionist and founder of Zion Oil and Gas, leading the exploration for oil and gas in northern Israel, the very land blessed by Jacob.

Vision of Oil in Holy Land

What started as one man's faith in the Bible, has led to extraordinary steps to find oil in Israel.

How Things Would Change if Israel Finds Oil

Imagine an Israel which is oil and gas independent, giving it a much freer hand to act in the geopolitical sphere as it sees fit.
