People of Israel Demonstrate 'No Man Left Behind' Motto - LITAL SHEMESH CHARISMA NEWS

Sgt. Yehuda Hayisraeli

People of Israel Demonstrate 'No Man Left Behind' Motto

Sgt. Yehuda Hayisraeli (Facebook )

Standing With Israel
When Sgt. Yehuda Hayisraeli was critically wounded during Operation Protective Edge, and then managed to win the fight for his life, his family never imagined they would soon be entering another battleground in the path to rehabilitation.
Hayisraeli, who suffered extensive head injuries, had been set to return to his parents' home upon being released from hospital. Given his cognitive injuries, the familiar memories of his home are considered critical for his rehabilitation. But as the family lives in Samaria, the Defense Ministry was not authorized to build a housing unit for him that would be customized to his special rehabilitation needs.
Hayisraeli was unable to go home during the 10 months his family received the bureaucratic runaround from the authorities. But over the weekend, the Israeli public decided to act on the problem rather than waiting for the government to resolve it, and raised the necessary funds to customize the family home.
A group of Facebook opinion leaders, including Avihai Shorshan, Meir Layosh and Sara Haetzni-Cohen, decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign asking Israelis to donate to the family. In just 16 hours, they managed to meet the 600,000 shekel ($160,000) goal—the amount necessary to customize the house. Within 24 hours, they reached over 1.4 million shekels (about $370,000).
Among the donors were a 15-year-old boy who gave all his allowance money, a woman who, when the website crashed due to overload of donors, remained in her car until she was able to make her donation, and an Ashkelon woman suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to Hamas rocket attacks from Gaza.
More than 8,000 people opened their hearts and their wallets in a demonstration of solidarity and brotherhood, while dozens more donated gifts and services to be given out as incentives for donors of cash. The CEO of Headstart, the crowdfunding site used to raise the money, noted that this was the biggest Israeli campaign the site had ever seen and was quick to assign a special team to handle the project.
This mass outpouring was not only a display of Israeli unity from both Left and Right, but also a protest against the Defense Ministry's conduct and the bureaucratic red tape Hayisraeli had to endure.
One of the organizers of the crowdfunding campaign said: "The government of Israel can release 1,000 Palestinian prisoners to bring an Israeli captive home, but it can't build a concrete ramp so a soldier will be able to come home?"
Meanwhile, the Defense Ministry has rejected the family's request once again, as settlements in Judea and Samaria are precluded from receiving building permits, and suggested that the Hayisraeli family relocate.
This terrible injustice suffered by a soldier who was sent to battle to defend his people has managed to prompt the people of Israel into action. It even has the power to send a wake-up call to the Defense Ministry.
Yehuda Yitzhak Hayisraeli was injured while courageously trying to rescue abducted Lt. Hadar Goldin from a Rafah tunnel. This week, the people of Israel demonstrated that they too live by the motto: Leave no man behind.

Our Debt To Israel (Derek Prince) & Why Israel? (Steve Martin) - our gift to you...because we love the people of Israel.

Of all the Christian teachers of the Bible that have impacted us the most in regards to faith, and especially in our support for Israel, it has been Derek Prince (1915-2003). In 1979 Laurie and I heard first Derek at a Christian conference in Mackinac Island in northern Michigan. It was there that we heard this message - our debt to Israel as Christians.

From 1987-1990 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and then again from 2000-2005 in Charlotte, North Carolia, I had the honor of serving on staff with Derek Prince Ministries, as the Director of Finance and Operations. (Thanks David Selby for hiring me twice!)

The impact of Derek's message, with his love and support for Israel, directly instilled in our hearts the vital truth of Israel, as the Lord specifically brought to us through Scripture.

Derek's small booklet, Our Debt To Israel (which can be read in about 20 minutes), explains in a real, understandable way why Christians have a duty, responsibility, and privilege to support Israel and the Jews today.

Because of what this tremendous spiritual truth has done in our lives, with the Lord Jesus Himself giving us the heart to bless those whom He chose to reveal Himself through, the Jews, we want to share this eternal truth with you.

You just need to ask for it. Free. No cost to you, except to ask, and that you will promise to read it.

I will also send you my book that I wrote a year ago, entitled Why Israel? Also free. (And trusting you will read it too!)

We are not out to get your mailing address, or email. (We don't maintain lists for either.) We just want you to know the truth in regards to Israel, as stated in God's eternal Word.

Please respond by either mail or e-mail. If our stock runs out before you get your copies, I will get more of each to send you. (Derek Prince Ministries will like that too!)

Please see our address below to send us your request.

Sincerely,

Steve & Laurie Martin

Why Israel? Why not?

This little booklet consists of messages previously written in my books, which of themselves contain many various themes. I wanted to devote one book to just Israel and the Jewish people, and so this small booklet was compiled.

As you read the following, consider the truth contained in Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, which spell out the commitment of God the Father to choose a people who will be a light to the nations. He chose the Jews, and gave them the Promised Land of Israel.

It does not matter what other national governments try to say, do, or accomplish apart from the plans and purposes of the Lord. They will fail.

His Word is true. It is eternal. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and thus His commitment in keeping His promises made to the Jewish people will be fulfilled.

I hope you stand with them in these last days.

Marriage and the growth of his ministry

Prince moved to Faith Tabernacle in Chicago, and then to Good News Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In May 1971 Derek Prince Publications opened offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.[2] Derek Prince Publications became Derek Prince Ministries in December 1990.[3]
1987 - German missionary to Mongolia heard English broadcast (from Seychelles) and began to translate program into Mongolian.
1989 - DPM-Netherlands office opened, overseeing Eastern Europe and Soviet countries.
The Princes travelled extensively in ministry until Ruth died on 29 December 1998. The following list of countries covers their ministry from 1993 to 1998. Some of these countries were visited more than once: Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Hungary, South Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, Poland, Bahrain, Cuba, Colombia, Switzerland, France, Portugal, India and England.[4]
Derek Prince Ministries continues to distribute his teachings and to train missionaries, church leaders, and congregations through the outreaches of more than thirty DPM offices around the world, including primary work in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.[5]

Teachings[edit]

At the time of Prince's death in September 2003, he was the author of over 50 books, 600 audio and 100 video teachings, many of which have been translated and published in more than 100 languages.[6] Some of the subjects that are covered in his teachings are prayer and fasting,[7] foundations of the Christian faith,[8] spiritual warfare,[9] God's love[10]and marriage and family.[11]

Demons and deliverance[edit]

As a Pentecostal, Prince believed in the reality of spiritual forces operating in the world, and of the power of demons to cause illness and psychological problems. While in Seattle he was asked to perform an exorcism on a woman, and he came to believe that Christians could be possessed by demons.[12] This was at odds with the more usual Pentecostal view that demons could not possess believers, but only "oppress" them. Prince believed that his deliverance ministry used the power of God to defeat demons.[13]

Israel[edit]

The grave of Derek Prince in Alliance Church International Cemetery, Jerusalem
Prince, who taught on many themes and subjects including the foundational truths of the Bible, was probably most noted for his teachings about demons, deliverance ministry, and Israel.[14] He strongly opposed replacement theology. His book The Destiny of Israel and the Church argues that the Church has not replaced Israel and that the covenant that God made with the nation of Israel still stands today. Prince also believed that the creation of the state of Israel was the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. Derek states in his book Promised Land, "The central theme of biblical prophecy, as it is being unfolded in our time, revolves around the land and the people of Israel. God is carrying out His predetermined plan to regather the Jewish people from their worldwide dispersion and restore them to their ancient homeland."[15]

The Shepherding Movement controversy[edit]

In 1968, Prince joined the Holy Spirit Teaching Mission (HSTM), which linked him to three other Charismatic Christian pastors living in Ft. Lauderdale: Don Basham, Bob Mumford, and Charles Simpson.[citation needed] The HSTM had been founded by businessman Eldon Purvis; but after the discovery of Purvis’s homosexuality the leadership team of the HSTM asked Basham, Mumford, Prince, and Simpson to help in managing the crisis.[16] Prince and the others changed the name of the HSTM to Christian Growth Ministries (CGM) in 1972.[17] CGM sought to counter what were seen as excesses within the Charismatic Movement by emphasizing discipleship and pastoral care which later on was abused by those in leadership positions. CGM continued with the publication of the New Wine magazine which began under the HSTM in June 1969.[18] David Moore, author of The Shepherding Movement, states "Essential for an accurate history of the Shepherding Movement is a complete collection of New Wine. The magazine, published from 1969 through 1986, was the principal publishing voice of the five teachers and the movement."[19] The group was joined by Ern Baxter, and the five men became known as the Fort Lauderdale Five. Their ministry became known as the Shepherding Movement. Different factions of the movement began to emphasise submission and authority.
Prince later left the group and repented in public over being a member.[20] There are several sermons where Prince commented on the shepherding controversy (sometimes referring to it as "Discipleship Movement").,[21] even in Ft. Lauderdale years after.[22]

Publications[edit]

Prince published many books and recorded over 600 audio teaching sermons and 100 video teachings.

Jerusalem Inspiration

Throughout the book of Joshua, the Children of Israel are told “to be strong” and “to be courageous.” It is significant that this command applies to both spiritual tasks, such as observing the entire Torah of Moses, and to physical tasks, such as fighting battles in the Land of Israel. A complete national life requires both spiritual and physical strength. In today’s Israeli army, there are many soldiers who exemplify this through their devotion to both Torah study and to military service. These students and graduates of Zionist seminaries are both courageous soldiers and Torah scholars, and serve as role models for all. Today, these righteous soldiers are standing between the people of Israel and violent terrorists who want to eradicate the Jewish State. American Friends of LIBI gives IDF soldiers the support, assistance, and tools they need to defend their nation. Help strengthen Israel's first line of defense against terror - the IDF!

In Violent Jerusalem Tug-of-War, Biblical Prophecy Unfolding Before Our Eyes

The nations of the world are increasing their efforts to weaken or remove Jewish sovereignty in Jerusalem. Is this a fulfillment of Zechariah 12:3’s prophecy that, at the End of Days, the nations of the earth will gather against Jerusalem?
