UPDATE: Security Guard at work asked me, "Why Israel?" So I told her. (She got her book today 08.03.17)

Kim asked me, "Why Israel?
So I told her.

Aug. 2, 2017

Greetings friends and soon-to-be-friends of Love For His People.

Yesterday after coming back from the bank run (as part of my accounting job I take deposits to the bank at the corner of Trade & Tryon in Charlotte, North Carolina. At least until October 31!) our afternoon building security guard asked me, "Why Israel?"

I can't remember what started the conversation (after 62 years of memories stored away, occasionally one can't be found in the brain storage system), but I got a big smile on my face and responded, "Why, I am glad you asked that. Actually, I have a book entitled, "Why Israel?" that I will bring in tomorrow for you as a gift."

"Will you sign it?" she asked.

"Of course I will Kim. Just for you."

(Kim is pictured here holding the first book I gave her in April, Arms of Love. That photo ended up in my book, "Awesome God (page 171) after my May 2017 trip to Jerusalem, Israel. She liked that book too!)

Now before you may think this is a commercial to sell you my book(s), I want you to know that up front, it is not. In fact, of the 15 books I have written and published since 2011, over 99% of them have been given away as gifts by our ministry Love For His People. So...if you are in the area surrounding the city of Charlotte North Carolina, or in Pakistan, Nigeria or Israel, you may be one who already received a copy of a book.)

By trade I am an the accountant, so by my counting system the total sum of paperback books we have gifted amounts to over $11,000. Love For His People has given away these out over the last six years.

When I believed that when the Lord says, "Give, and it will be given to you" He wasn't kidding, and means what He said. So I heard and obeyed. Someday I will see the fruit produced out of this obedience.

If you would like a free book (any one of the 15 now available), just let me know. I will gladly send you one. Autographed too! (See the list below.)

Fear not little flock, for we do not have a mailing list, and don't send out appeal letters once we get your name and address. (Maybe we should?! But we won't.)

Ahava and shalom,

Why Israel? Why Not. - Steve Martin

Why Israel? Why Not. - Steve Martin
Love For His People, Inc.

On April 29, 2017 I am headed back to Israel. This will be my 13th time in the land, visiting friends and supporting the Jewish people. With the Lord's heart for His chosen ones, and a commitment to stand with them, our work continues to bless during these trips.

In March 2014 I wanted to put into people's hands something that would help explain why we do what we do, as we give of ourselves to these living in the Promised Land. And so I compiled some of my Ahava Love Letters (now known as Now Think On This) into this small booklet entitled Why Israel?

From my many writings I wanted to devote one book to just Israel and the Jewish people. This small booklet does that. As you read it, (you can BUY HEREconsider the truths contained in Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, which spell out the commitment of God the Father to choose a people who will be a light to the nations. History proves they have, and will continue to be even more so in the future.

God chose the Jews, and gave them the Promised Land of Israel.

It does not matter what other national governments try to say, do, or accomplish apart from the plans and purposes of the Lord. They will fail. But HIS WORD is eternal!

His Word is true. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, and thus His commitment in keeping His promises made to the Jewish people will be fulfilled.

I hope you stand along with us for them in these last days.

P.S. In my travels I will try to keep posting, along with photos, during the journey. If for some reason I am unable to, be sure to take note and catch up when I return in 10 days!

POLL: More Israeli Arabs Recognize Jewish Claim to Land | Israel Today Staff

POLL: More Israeli Arabs Recognize Jewish Claim to Land

Tuesday, January 12, 2016 |  Israel Today Staff

A growing number, in fact now a majority, of Israeli Arabs recognize Jewish rights and claims to this land, according to the latest installment of the monthly Peace Index survey conducted by Tel Aviv University and the Israel Democracy Institute.

The poll’s third question asked respondents whether they “agree or disagree with the claim that the Jews’ historical, religious, and cultural bond to the land and the Palestinians’ historical, religious, and cultural bond to the land are equally strong.”

Unsurprisingly, 92.8 percent of Jewish respondents either agreed or insisted that Jewish claims to the land are stronger than those of the Palestinians.

What did some as a shock to many was the fact that 41.3 percent of Israeli Arabs agreed with the statement, while a further 15.9 percent agreed with most Jews that the Jewish claims to the land were stronger than those of the Palestinians.

Again, 57.2 percent of Israeli Arabs said that Jewish claims to this land are equal to or stronger than Palestinian claims.

This revelation comes at a time when several different local Arab movements and public figures, both Christian and Muslim, are encouraging greater integration with the Jewish majority.

Australian Church Announces Jesus Was Not Palestinian By Abra Forman - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Australian Church Announces Jesus Was Not Palestinian

“Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee; go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.’” (Deuteronomy 1:22, The Israel Bible)
Jesus was not Palestinian, said the Uniting Church of Australia in a statement following an Australian news story which called Palestinians “the living descendants of Christ.”
Last week, the leftist Australian political publication New Matilda published an article, written by two Palestinian Arab members of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network, which stated that an Australian delegation in Israel was “applauding proven human rights violators and insulting the living descendants of Christ in his home of birth in Palestine.”
The Australian Palestinian Advocacy Network has ties to the Uniting Church of Australia. Following the publication of the article, Peter Wertheim, executive director of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, wrote a letter of protest to the Uniting Church in which he said that “the proposition that Jesus was a Palestinian and that the Palestinian Arab population of today are his ‘living descendants’ was “so absurd and offensive that it deserves an immediate and substantive rebuttal.”
Do you agree the Jewish people have a Biblical right to Jerusalem?
In response, the president of the Uniting Church, Stuart McMillan, released a statement saying, “I would like to assure you and the Jewish community that the Uniting Church does not accept the view that Jesus was Palestinian.” He added that Jesus and most of his early followers were Jewish, and that they resided in “neither in Israel nor in Palestine, but in the Roman-occupied province of Judea”.
His statement concluded by saying that it was “entirely inappropriate for anybody to attempt to claim political capital from the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem to bolster claims of either ‘side’ of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.”

"Hezekiah Became King" ✡ Sensational Discovery of Biblical King in Jerusalem - ISRAEL365

Hezekiah became king at the age of twenty-five years, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem... He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the House of the Lord and reinforced them.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Hezekiah was the most righteous of all the kings of Judea. His name is composed of the word "kha-zak" - strong - and God's name "ya" meaning that he strengthened the people's devotion to God. In a recent sensational discovery, King Hezekiah's royal clay seal was unearthed at the foot of the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount, bearing the inscription: “Hezekiah (son) Ahaz King of Judea.” In a time when the Jewish claim to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount is attacked as never before, the discovery verifies the biblical account of a great Jewish king, who strengthened, purified and "opened the doors" of the Holy Temple. May we merit to once again see the opening of the Temple Mount to a Jewish presence, where all will be able to worship the One True God in Jerusalem.
