Shalom to all.
When I travel to Israel twice a year, the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) has now called me to bring others who want to connect with Israel and the Jews living in their Land. (As of May 2025, I have gone 29 times on other ministry tours, alone, or taking others with me.)
The Lord gave me the name “Ahava Adventures” in 2010, and I wasn’t quite clear on the plan or purpose (or the willingness as I increased in physical age!) But now here is the plan as I see it. Briefly.
In May of each year, I will take a group of no more than 12, a mixture of couples and singles. We rent two vans.
Then, in October of each year, I will take up to 12 men (age 16-80).
Each trip will include lodging at hostels or similar places and Shabbat meals or lunches at our Jewish friends' private homes. We will walk where no big tour groups can walk (averaging 4 miles/day in Jerusalem) or take you to ride the local transportation in Jerusalem as the Israelis do—on the bus, light rail in Jerusalem, and the high-speed train from the airport to Jerusalem.
We will visit the historical Christian locations in Jerusalem where Jesus most likely walked and taught the people during His time on this Land.
We will join others in worship of the Lord by attending King of Kings Jewish and Gentile congregation in Jerusalem or the Messianic Jewish Kehilat HaCarmel near Haifa.
We will go to the beautiful Golan in northern Israel on hikes at the Banias Springs and Nimrod Fortress and take a day trip excursion bus to Masada/Dead Sea/Ein Gedi national park.
You will meet all my gift shop friends on Ben Yehuda Street and a special one on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. (Good prices for you!)
Our primary focus on each trip is connecting you with the Land the Lord God of Israel has given to the chosen Jews. We also want to personally connect you with the people whom He has brought back to their Land (made aliyah/immigrated) or with those who have been born there (sabras). That is our primary purpose. Once you have made these connections, I hope they will be everlasting.
One more fundamental note: This isn't a "tour". It's an adventure of love (Ahava in Hebrew).
Come join us. The Lord will make a way for you, too.
Shalom,
Steve Martin, Love For His People
P.S. As for the Ahava Adventures…I am not looking or asking people to come expecting the “common” tour. I want people who want to get to know Israel and His people. It is not about them (the ones travelling); it is about “them”, the people of Israel.
Whether it is 2 or 10, I just want those whom the Lord wants to come, to further impart His heart for His people into those who do come with us.
It doesn’t matter if we sleep in a hostel or in a field. Jesus did that. And we may do the same!
