Greetings to you once again.

I truly enjoy creating these weekly messages for you, sharing some good news and helping you grow in your faith as you daily walk with our Lord Jesus (Yeshua).

Please read my message, "If You Seek Me", another word on guidance that I feel is so vital in these turbulent times.

If You Seek Me

“And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:13 NASB

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, as I sat on our light-brown, cozy couch, feet propped up on the square, brown fake-leather footrest in the middle of our living room, watching the 5^th season of The Chosen, episode 3...

Jesus spoke a word to me. Actually, it was through Jonathan Roumie, who wonderfully portrays Yeshua in the powerful series The Chosen, Season 5, episode 3.

The Lord likes to do that. Speaks to us through human vessels, which at times we take for granted.

In this episode, Yeshua had just delivered a stunning, in-your-face word to the Pharisees and Sadducees at the gate of the Second Temple, leaving them fuming under their heavy robes. He then responded to one of his disciples who was chasing after Him as He left. The disciple was concerned that He had just made them really mad, and they were going to come after Him.

In my words, not a direct quote, He responded, half mockingly, “Maybe if they seek Me, they will find Me.”

Have you ever sought the Lord, for real, wanting an answer to a concern, a problem, a directive in your life, and sincerely wanting an answer?

Yes, you have. As I have too.

At the time of this writing, I am 70 years old, although I no longer say, “70 and 7 months,” as little kids do. Even though that is true, once again, the Lord Who leads and guides us by His Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew, has given me a choice. Again.

I had thought I had “retired” seven years ago and could now sit on my front porch in Charlotte, North Carolina, rocker and read another Joel Rosenberg thriller, or Abraham Lincoln biography.

I heard Him call my name. Again.

“If you seek Me, I will lead you on to greater things.” (*See more about this part, as included below.)

So, what was I going to do? Dismiss it as yet another time the still, small voice wasn’t needing to pay attention to? Should I respond with the common “No” that the Bible teacher, Bob Mumford, said decades ago is the most common reaction we give when the Lord presents a new adventure?

For our best good, we need to hear, obey, and follow no matter where He leads.

This is our daily choice, if we truly want to be followers of Jesus, Yeshua, the Messiah. Our Lord. Our God. The One Who has always promised to do just that, to lead us in the way we are to go.

“Thus says Adonai, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Isra’el: 'I am Adonai, your God, who teaches you for your own good, who guides you on the path you should take.” Isaiah 48:17, CJB (Complete Jewish Bible)

P.S. *I did in fact receive this confirming word from a prophetically gifted woman, out of the blue, whom I trust, (Nancy Shupp) who wrote this in an email to me on June 14, 2025. It came in my InBox, days after I had seriously started seeking the Lord about a matter He set before me.

“As I was praying for you, I heard the following: Thank you for responding to the call to come walk with me. You didn’t despise that it is a ministry that would never bring fame or riches. You only wanted to please me. I treasure our walks together and being able to bless others through you.

You haven’t sought glory or recognition, but Heaven knows your name. Our walk is changing, but don’t be afraid. The road ahead is even more glorious than the one behind us. I love you. I bless you, mighty man of God, and speak that everywhere your feet touch, the enemy flees, and light and love are released.”

Thank you, Nancy!

And if you have known me for a little while, you may have heard of or seen my video recordings, “Walk With Me,” that I have been creating for many years. It is something close to my heart that the Lord said in this prophetic word.

P.S.S. I will pray for you if you let me know what is on your heart. Seriously. I normally pray in tongues, for the Holy Spirit knows exactly what you need, when you need it, and how you need the answer, as you too seek Him. Please let me know.

We are living in the last days, the times prophesied long ago, right before the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, returns. Even as He spoke to the prophets of old in Israel, continuing through Jesus’ time on earth, and with the early church, the Lord is fulfilling His promise. His Eternal Word that He would pour out His Spirit on all flesh, and we would prophesy.

Prophesy comes in many ways – through the spoken word, signs, dreams, visions, tongues. The Lord uses all to speak to His people, give them guidance along the way, and show His provision for the plans He has for us. As we walk along His path chosen for us, He desires to encourage and reveal His plans to us. He most certainly uses His Written Word. He also uses prophetic words.

Here are a few that He has given to me. I am continually amazed at how He speaks, how He directs, and the assuring results of His guidance. We need the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in these times. As the Bible says, He desires that all would prophesy, in order to assist believers in knowing His will, and speaking to non-believers that we serve an All-Knowing God, who shows us the way.

The gifts of prophesy, seeing signs and wonders, and experiencing His love through His fascinating methods is for all. I hope you are encouraged in seeking Him as you read these stories of how He moved in my life. Steve Martin

Do you see the signs? Weekly message - Steve Martin, Love For His People

Greetings to you once again.

“And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but are you unable to discern the signs of the times?" Matthew 16:3, NASB

Each of us wants to know what the future holds. We even want to know what the weather is going to be like the next day. I like the FOX Weather app, which gives the 14-day forecast. (The local channel only shows 7 days. But they are not as big as the national broadcast channel.)

The Lord knows our weaknesses and has promised to give us signs along the way to help us discern His path and walk on it.

In 2014, I wrote the book, "Prophetic Stories - Signs Along the Way." It was amazing to see some of the prophetic ways the Lord directed me, and how He used signs to accomplish it. (You can order the book below. Only $5.99 on Amazon.)

Our good friend Hadassah Lerner always took the time to give us "tours" of Israel when we went on previous trips. This is her with two friends on the Jerusalem Zoo bridge (Jerusalem, Israel) on May 6, 2017. Please pray for this mighty woman of the Lord, who currently battles health issues.

He Gives Us Signs

“So, Gideon said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who speak with me.” Judges 6:17, NASB

An excellent Bible teacher by the name of Bob Mumford, whom I first heard of during the “discipleship, shepherding, and commitment days” (for me, those were the years 1977-1994), had a book entitled Take Another Look at Guidance. A worthwhile read for those seeking to understand how our heavenly Father guides us in His ways and purposes for our individual lives. I have based many decisions on Mumford’s recommendations.

Bob Mumford in Take Another Look at Guidance, compares discovering God’s will with a sea captain’s docking procedure: A certain harbor in Italy can be reached only by sailing up a narrow channel between dangerous rocks and shoals. Over the years, many ships have been wrecked, and navigation is hazardous.

To guide the ships safely into port, three lights have been mounted on three huge poles in the harbor. When the three lights are perfectly lined up and seen as one, the ship can safely proceed up the narrow channel. If the pilot sees two or three lights, he knows he’s off course and in danger.

God has also provided three beacons to guide us. The same rules of navigation apply—the three lights must be lined up before it is safe for us to proceed. The three harbor lights of guidance are:

1. The Word of God (objective standard)

2. The Holy Spirit (subjective witness)

3. Circumstances (divine providence)

Together, they assure us that the directions we’ve received are from God and will lead us safely along his way.

Bob Mumford, Take Another Look at Guidance.

Again, the three harbors’ lights are: the Word, the Holy Spirit, and circumstances.

All throughout Scripture, from Adam to Moses to Gideon to Mary to those gathered in the Upper Room on Pentecost (on the Lord’s feast known as Shavuot), the Lord gave His people signs.

Being He knows all, He certainly knows that sometimes things are not so apparent as He would hope they would be for us.

I encourage you to seek the Lord in your daily decisions, to learn how He speaks, what He speaks, and when He speaks, so you too can more fully know of His plans and purposes for you.

Do not be like those who missed the Messiah Yeshua HaMashiach, when He came the first time. Even though they looked for signs, they failed to see the One who was right before their eyes.

“But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.” John 12:37, NASB

And then again in Hebrews 2:3-4, Complete Jewish Bible, it reads:^“…then how will we escape if we ignore such a great deliverance? This deliverance, which was first declared by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him; while God also bore witness to it with various signs, wonders and miracles, and with gifts of the Ruach HaKodesh which he distributed as he chose.”

Be one who follows, even chases, after the Lord, to better know Him. There is so much that He wants to show you of Himself and how much He wants to give you guidance.

My good friend David Peterman and I had this dialogue after our recent trip to Israel, May 4 to 14. We speak of the Lord's prophetic signs in our days, right now, as seen in His Land and among His chosen people, the Jews. The Living God of Israel lets us know that He is moving in the earth, as He calls out to us daily.

The second video is the first of a 4-part recording when we went on a "tour" in the Jerusalem, Israel office of Christian Friends of Israel. I personally was amazed at what CFI Jerusalem has going on and has done in their 40 years of ministry among the Jews and Arabs of the Land. Watch the first one. It then leads to the others. (P.S. I served on the CFI-USA board for 14 years, under the leadership of Hannele Pardain, and this experience on the tour was beneficial.)

And the third video (what a treat), recorded by me at the Christian Friends of Israel 40th ministry anniversary event in Charlotte, North Carolina, in May 2026, makes known the excellent new connection between Derek Prince Ministries and CFI-Jerusalem. Knowing Derek Prince when I was a staff member, this is special.
