Bill Yount: Holy Spirit is Highlighting the Importance of Praying for One Another

Bill Yount:
Holy Spirit is Highlighting the Importance of Praying for One Another: Honoring Our Stretcher Bearers and Prayer Warriors

Bill YountWhen God sets your destination, it's impossible for you not to get there. But you will not get there on your own. You will need some stretcher bearers and prayer warriors along the way. Without others praying for me I wouldn't be alive today, let alone have a ministry.

Ten years ago, when I had a blood clot in the artery of my heart, I had a 50/50 chance to survive. Since I write for The Elijah List, my name was noised around the world for the Body of Christ to pray. At that moment I heard the voice of the devil talking to his demons concerning my life hanging in the balance. He said, "There are so many people praying for him, we have to let him go! Too many are praying for him."

Stretcher bearers and prayer warriorsGod does not raise up our name because we have it all together. He allows our names to become known because we will need that many more prayer warriors to get us through.

Without continued prayer from many who pray for my ministry, I would go nowhere, could do nothing, and would be speechless. That's how much the prayers of others mean to me.

By them I have escaped the jaws of death and lived to see the reason why.

The Holy Spirit is highlighting the importance of praying one for another in these crucial times.

Have you thanked those who have prayed you through when your prayers seemed powerless or you didn't know how to pray?

I believe the Lord allows circumstances to rise up against us to see not only our need of Him but also our need for one another. He allows the Red Sea to resist our pathway, the lion's den to interrupt our plans, and the fiery furnace to be turned up seven times hotter. He watches to see how determined we are to follow Him. How humbling it is to see how much we need Him.

A greater humbling when we see our need of others. He often answers through the prayers of others so no one can take the glory.

It's time to honor those hidden in prayer closets who pray us from crises to exploits.

If I Had A Hammer
Your prayers work wonders for us. For example: Right before a recent New Jersey ministry trip, our car wouldn't start. AAA road service hit the starter with a hammer and it started right up. Being too late for a mechanic to put a new starter on our car, I asked a seasoned mechanic, "What should I do?" He said, "Take a hammer with you and if it doesn't start, hit the starter with a hammer!" I said, "Do you mean I am going to New Jersey by the way of a hammer?"

HammerThe next morning we left and never had to use the hammer. The car kept starting for us. God spoke to me on the way: "I want to release a 'hammer anointing' throughout the state of New Jersey." I used the hammer in every meeting to hit some things that God wanted to start up again that had stopped, such as ministries, and to start some new things for His Kingdom.

His word like a hammer came down on injustice, generational curses, the political realm, and so many other things. His hammer struck so hard that I heard the Liberty Bell ringing in Philadelphia. One brother began singing a prophetic song sung by Peter, Paul and Mary years ago, "If I Had A Hammer."

The claw of the hammer was used to loosen things in the Spirit.
God really does use the foolish things for His glory. Who knows how far God's hammer will travel across this nation and around the world. Again, your prayers did it. By the way, a precious brother put a new starter on our car before we left to come home. Thank you for your prayers!

God's Arrow of Love

A few weeks ago, your prayers created an open portal over the state of Indiana when I ministered there. On Friday afternoon before the last evening meeting, I heard the Father singing over the state: "Angel, draw back your bow and let your arrow go, straight to My lover's heart for Me, for Me." I then saw an arrow shot out of the heavens. It was an arrow of the Father's love piercing the heart of Indiana.

The Father said, "I am going to take away the heart of stone out of Indiana and give her a heart of flesh and a heart after Me." I sang this as a prophetic song over the State at the beginning of the meeting.
God's Arrow of LoveSeveral days later, I received this email and photograph from a brother named Gary:
"En route to your meeting on Fridayevening from the Indianapolis, Indiana area we captured this photo of an open portal with an arrow piercing through it! Thought you needed to know!"

Bill Yount has been a member of Bridge of Life in Hagerstown, Maryland, for the past 33 years where he is now an elder and a home missionary.

He is currently an advisor at large for Aglow International. Bill faithfully served in prison ministry at Mount Hope for 23 years and now travels full-time, both in the U.S. and internationally, ministering in churches and Aglow circles. "Humility and humor" characterize his ministry as he brings forth a fresh word that is "in season," proclaiming the word of the Lord!

The shofar (or ram's horn) is often used in his meetings, breaking the powers of darkness over regions, churches, and households. The shofar represents God's breath blowing into the nostrils of His people, reviving them and awakening the lost. Many of God's messages, which Bill ministers prophetically, come out of his everyday life with his family and friends.

Prayer support and encouragement goes along way!

You'll read about this in Bill Yount's latest word: The Holy Spirit is highlighting the importance of praying one for another in these crucial times. Have you thanked those who have prayed you through when your prayers seemed powerless or you didn't know how to pray?

Remember this verse Paul spoke in Ephesians 1:16: I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers.

Be blessed and full of joy as you lift one another up in your prayers.
Steve

Canadian PM to Visit Israel in January, Expresses Support

YEAH CANADA!

Canadian PM to Visit Israel in January, Expresses Support

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse; and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper (Photo: Facebook)

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, long a supporter of Israel, spoke at a Jewish National Fund fundraiser dinner in Toronto this week, pledging Canada’s support for Israel and announcing a planned visit for January.  The PM also entertained the crowd by performing with his band.
The dinner was held in Harper’s honor, and a new bird sanctuary in his name, to be established in the Hula Valley Reserve, the Stephen J. Harper Hula Valley Bird Sanctuary Visitor & Education Centre in Israel, was announced.  “I am honored by this particular gift…I value it [because] it is where it is. It is in that homeland of the Jewish people and that light of freedom and democracy in what is otherwise a region of darkness — the State of Israel,” Harper said.  This marks the first time in its 65 years that the JNF has honored a sitting prime minister.
JNF Canada CEO Josh Cooper explained to the National Post, “The prime minister’s outstanding support of the state of Israel, his efforts towards combating anti-Semitism and preserving the memory of the Holocaust made him an obvious choice.”  On the bird sanctuary, Cooper commented, “Given his well documented love of animals, we felt this would be an appropriate project to present to him.”
Harper elaborated on Canada and Israel’s common values, as well as the common threats they face.  “In the world of diplomacy, we know how easy it is to drift away from Israel. We understand that the future of our country and of our shared civilization depends on the survival and the thriving of that free and democratic homeland of the Jewish people in the Middle East.”
“Israel will always have Canada as a friend in the world,” Harper added.
It is important to remember that Harper is a member of a large evangelical church and has noted many times that his support for Israel also stems from his faith.
Israeli Prime MInister Benjamin Netanyahu shared his appreciation for Harper via televised video message.  “Stephen doesn’t follow the herd,” Netanyahu said. “He has stood up for the truth, time and time again. Stephen doesn’t want to be politically correct, he wants to be correct. He had the courage to stand up for what he believed.  I salute you Stephen, not only as a personal friend, and a friend of Israel, but as a great leader.”
Harper’s announcement of a planned visit for January was also welcome news.  Critics have noted that although he has been a staunch supporter of Israel in his words, he has yet to visit the country in his seven years as Prime Minister.
David Koschitzky, chairman of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), praised Harper’s decision following the latter’s speech.  “This official trip is an important indicator of the dynamic relationship that exists between two great countries, which has grown and strengthened under the prime minister’s leadership. This visit will provide Israelis with an opportunity to thank the prime minister for his steadfast friendship and support over many years.”  In Cooper’s words, Harper has “raised the bar of what is considered to be a true friend of Israel.”
Not everyone was enthusiastic about Harper’s professions of support for Israel, or the JNF’s activities in the Negev.  Some 200 demonstrators gathered outside the dinner venue, protesting the Prawer Plan, an Israeli government initiative which calls for the relocation of tens of thousands of Bedouin residents in the Negev region.  This demonstration came on the heels of the International Day of Rage held Saturday across Israel and in Europe against the same plan.
Approximately 200,000 Bedouins live in the Negev, most concentrated in an area around the city of Beersheba.  Many live in illegal settlements without basic services such as roads and sewage systems, and are spread out over vast tracts of land.  There is concern that with a growing population, the land will not be able to accommodate such an expansive lifestyle.  The Bill on the Arrangement of Bedouin Settlement in the Negev, also known as the Prawer-Begin Plan, or simply the Prawer Plan, calls for Israel to officially recognize most of the current Bedouin settlements, while relocating the residents of the remaining 35 settlements to towns built for their needs.  The Israeli government claims this will improve their economic situation and access to services, but critics claim the urbanization will not allow them to maintain their traditional occupation of herding livestock.  Some have called the plan a “land-grab” and accuse the government of anti-Arab racism.
JNF chairman Efi Stenzer, however, said the overwhelmingly positive response to the Negev dinner and Harper’s attendance put the demonstrations in perspective.  “KKL-JNF and its supporters all over the world will continue to strengthen the State of Israel with all its strength and will act fearlessly to reinforce it,” he told The Jerusalem Post.

Editor's Note: Blessings on ye heads O Canada!

US Supports Israel at the UN - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

US Supports Israel at the UN

“I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land.” (Joel 4:2)
UN Security Council

The UN Human Rights Council has long been abused to discredit Israel.  Now, Israel may be able to exert some influence on the international body.
On Monday, members of the Western Europe and Others Group in Geneva gave Israel a seat and a voice in the group, a move which will allow Israel to  “shape policy and determine leadership posts” on the Human Rights Council, according to US Ambassador Samantha Power.
“For far too long Israel has been unfairly excluded from regional bodies at the United Nations,” Power said in a statement. “This long-overdue decision brings Geneva in line with the decision to admit Israel into WEOG in New York in 2000, which continues to pay dividends more than a decade later.”
US Secretary of State John Kerry called the move “overdue,” just hours before he was scheduled to return to the Middle East to move peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians along.
“It goes without saying that at a time when the scourge of global anti-Semitism is on the rise, it is more important than ever for Israel to have a strong voice that can be heard everywhere,” he said in a statement. “This is a particularly welcome development as we work to end anti-Israel bias in the UN system.”
Kerry promised the US would “continue to support efforts to normalize Israel’s treatment across the UN system.”
The various regional bodies, of which the WEOG is one, act in an advisory capacity to the Human Rights Council, although they have no formal standing.  The US is a member of the council, while Israel still is not.
According to Haaretz, senior diplomats from the US, Britain, Australia, Canada, Germany and France sent a letter to the UN’s institutions in Geneva and to the ambassador of Spain, who heads the WEOG, asking that Israel be included in the regional body.
“We are strongly supportive of Israel’s membership at the earliest opportunity. We request that you kindly include this issue on the agenda of the next WEOG meeting in Geneva, to be held as soon as possible,” the letter, sent last month, read.
The group ultimately agreed to accept Israel in exchange for Israel’s return to the council to face its Universal Periodic Human Rights Review process.  Israel had left the council a year and a half ago to protest its alleged anti-Israel bias.
The American Jewish Committee’s executive director, David Harris, said the decision “ends the shameful anomaly whereby Israel was the only UN member state not fully integrated in the world body’s regional grouping system.”
Although this is an important move, drawing praise from Israel supporters across the board, it is likely not sufficient to sway the council’s anti-Israel attitude.
“At the council, Islamic states continue to hold the balance of power by controlling the African and Asian regional groups — which, taken together, form the Council majority. WEOG is vastly outnumbered at the council, and preposterous anti-Israel resolutions, and investigations and reports, will continue to flow like untreated water from a sewer,” human rights lawyer and pro-Israel activist Anne Bayefsky told the Times of Israel recently.
Still, this step in the right direction elicited much appreciation for those responsible for helping it along.  Israel’s UN Mission said on Twitter that “after decades of discrimination, a historical wrong has been corrected.
“Israel’s voice will finally be heard loud & clear in WEOG in Geneva.  Special thanks to @AmbassadorPowerfor leading efforts to right this wrong & standing on front lines to admit Israel into WEOG @unisgeneva.”
