The Obama Machine Takes Over Canada - BIN

US Lawmakers to Obama: Stop Punishing Americans Born in Jerusalem

The Obama Machine Takes Over Canada

In typically biased fashion, Time magazine has greeted the defeat of Canada’s conservatives with the headline, “Why Justin Trudeau’s Election Is Good News for the Fight Against Climate Change.” But the story has a valid point which bears on the question of why Obama campaign operatives were deployed to subvert the conservative government of Stephen Harper. Obama expects new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to help promote a climate change treaty to overthrow global capitalism that is expected to come out of a United Nations conference in Paris in December.
Canada has become a satellite of Obama, writes Judi McLeod of Canada Free Press.
But another inevitable outcome of the liberal victory may be more Islamic terrorism in North America. The new Canadian prime minister has extended open arms to Muslims in Canada and more immigration from the Middle East while declaring the need to withdraw from the fight against Islamic terrorism.
A pro-abortion Catholic, Trudeau wants to legalize marijuana and establish more injection sites for heroin users around the country.

If you hadn’t heard about Obama’s campaign to destroy Canada’s conservative government, you missed our story from last week, “Obama Plans Takedown of Another U.S. Ally.”
The destruction of Harper wasn’t as bloody as the Obama/Hillary Clinton effort to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi in Libya, which resulted in the Benghazi murders of four Americans. Nevertheless, the overthrow of the Harper government had the fingerprints of Obama all over it.
Judi McLeod of Canada Free Press, one of my key sources in last week’s article, summed it up in a story with the headline, “Obama Campaign Team Hands Canada Over to the Lib-Left.” She notes, “When word first leaked out that key Obama campaign workers had joined the Trudeau election campaign, the mainstream media continued to look the other way.”
But there’s no reason for conservatives in the U.S. media or Congress to look the other way.
Commenting on misleading polls that underestimated the liberal tide, McLeod said, “What happened was similar to the 2012 Barack Obama victory over Republican Mitt Romney, with a poll-portrayed nail-biter election that turned into an 11th hour landslide for Obama.”
This is a warning for conservatives in the U.S. who think the pendulum is swinging back to them in 2016. Four years ago many of the top commentators at Fox News and Salem Radio thought Romney was a sure winner. Their faulty predictions have not blunted their drive to be “experts” again this time around. Many of them have already missed the significance of the Donald Trump phenomenon and its staying power.
On the left, the progressive machine is on a roll, from Britain, where the Labor Party elected a Marxist as its head, to the United States, where Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is enticing what many considered smart young people with promises of free taxpayer-financed college educations.
Canada is the latest evidence that conservatives who think history is on their side are in for a rude awakening.
Writing at the conservative Canadian website TheRebel.media, Hamish Marshall notes that the get-out-the-vote effort by the Liberal Party and the labor unions supporting Trudeau was impressive. Marshall wrote, “What defeated the Conservatives more than the loss of votes, or the collapse of the NDP [New Democratic Party, the third major party in the race] to the Liberals was the huge number of new voters. Turnout will be in the range of 69%, with 3 million more votes cast than in 2011. The vast majority of those new voters supported the Liberals.”
The situation is bleak in Canada, probably worse than many conservatives would care to admit. The battles over abortion-on-demand and homosexual rights are basically over in Canada, while they continue in the U.S. On social issues, Harper was credited by Canadian conservatives with slowing down the movement for euthanasia. He fought a national day care scheme with tax credits for parents. But that’s been about it.
Giving up on the Conservative Party, some Canadians created the Christian Heritage Party (CHP) to compete and wage a real political battle for traditional values. It is a minor political party that didn’t do very well in the October 19 elections.
The reason, according to Peter Vogel of the Christian Heritage Party, is that Canada has already been fundamentally transformed. “We had a ‘conservative’ government that was not socially conservative because Canada is not socially conservative, and now we have a truly liberal government because our society is liberal,” he said. It is a sad fact. Like much of Europe, Canada has abandoned its Judeo-Christian roots.
Vogel is right: the Harper conservatives were afraid to be bold. They operated as if cultural transformation was a fact of life they could not really change. The Conservative Party had a platform that was vague and based on staying the course, mostly economically.
In tough language, Vogel went on to say, “We elected a government that will make matters worse for the unborn, and other vulnerable citizens, if that is possible. They will open our borders to erase Canada’s Christian heritage. (How many churches did Mr. Trudeau visit compared to the number of mosques he visited?) It is a government that is committed to impoverishing Canadians by increasing taxes (such as the ‘Carbon Tax’ and continuing to run a deficit). It is a government that will not fight terrorism in the regions from which it comes, but will allow terrorists to come to Canada. Then we will have to fight them as they radicalize our youth, blow-up our buildings, and kill our citizens.”
The comment about Trudeau visiting more mosques than churches is significant. This political fact has dramatic implications.
Find Out What Your Hebrew Name Is Today!
The CHP says that over 50 terrorist organizations are currently active in Canada and that the Canadian refugee and immigration system “is inadequate to secure the nation from the threats posed by terrorism.”
Of course, the United States is also threatened by this problem, which is bound to get worse under Trudeau. Perhaps Scott Walker’s reported off-hand comment about possibly erecting a wall between the U.S. and Canada now makes sense. (Walker did not specifically advocate a wall along our northern border but acknowledged that law enforcement authorities had discussed a possible terrorist threat from Canada).
viral video posted on but not produced by TheRebel.media was a stark warning about Trudeau’s involvement in Muslim causes. Indeed, it showed a picture of Trudeau reciting the Muslim convert’s “shahada” prayer during a visit to a mosque.
Ezra Levant of TheRebel.media wrote at the Toronto Sun that Trudeau wore a full Arab-style Muslim dress called a jalabiya to the mosque in B.C. called the Surrey Jamia Masjid. Levant explained, “But it’s not Trudeau’s dress that was the most unusual. It’s what he did. He went to the mosque to participate in a religious ritual, called the Maghrib salah. It’s a daily prayer service with a particular meaning. Part of the prayer is called the shahada, which in Arabic means to testify. As in, to testify to the Truth that Allah is the one true God, and Mohammed is his one true Prophet. To say the shahada, in the presence of two or more Muslim males, is the sole requirement in Islamic law to convert to Islam.”
He added, “I don’t believe Trudeau is Muslim. I don’t believe he is anything other than what his handlers and costume designers put in his hands before each public event. And in Trudeau’s case, his senior policy adviser just happens to be Omar Alghabra, the Saudi-born former president of the Canadian Arab Federation.”
Trudeau opposes the fight against the Islamic State. The Washington Post and other media are now reporting that Trudeau “would make good on a campaign promise to withdraw Canada’s jets from the U.S.-led bombing campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.” This would seem to be a break with Obama’s policy, except for the fact that Obama’s heart was never in the fight to begin with. Hence, Russia’s Vladimir Putin has stepped in to the void deliberately created by the U.S. President.
U.S. Congressional leaders in the U.S. seem preoccupied with whom to elect as the new Speaker of the House, as well as Benghazi. Those are important matters. But it might make some sense, in terms of oversight of the Obama administration, to launch an inquiry into American political interference in the Canadian elections.
What does possible House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) think about that? Some conservatives want to know.

Canadian PM to Visit Israel in January, Expresses Support

Canadian PM to Visit Israel in January, Expresses Support

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, long a supporter of Israel, spoke at a Jewish National Fund fundraiser dinner in Toronto this week, pledging Canada’s support for Israel and announcing a planned visit for January.  The PM also entertained the crowd by performing with his band.
The dinner was held in Harper’s honor, and a new bird sanctuary in his name, to be established in the Hula Valley Reserve, the Stephen J. Harper Hula Valley Bird Sanctuary Visitor & Education Centre in Israel, was announced.  “I am honored by this particular gift…I value it [because] it is where it is. It is in that homeland of the Jewish people and that light of freedom and democracy in what is otherwise a region of darkness — the State of Israel,” Harper said.  This marks the first time in its 65 years that the JNF has honored a sitting prime minister.
JNF Canada CEO Josh Cooper explained to the National Post, “The prime minister’s outstanding support of the state of Israel, his efforts towards combating anti-Semitism and preserving the memory of the Holocaust made him an obvious choice.”  On the bird sanctuary, Cooper commented, “Given his well documented love of animals, we felt this would be an appropriate project to present to him.”
Harper elaborated on Canada and Israel’s common values, as well as the common threats they face.  “In the world of diplomacy, we know how easy it is to drift away from Israel. We understand that the future of our country and of our shared civilization depends on the survival and the thriving of that free and democratic homeland of the Jewish people in the Middle East.”
“Israel will always have Canada as a friend in the world,” Harper added.
It is important to remember that Harper is a member of a large evangelical church and has noted many times that his support for Israel also stems from his faith.
Israeli Prime MInister Benjamin Netanyahu shared his appreciation for Harper via televised video message.  “Stephen doesn’t follow the herd,” Netanyahu said. “He has stood up for the truth, time and time again. Stephen doesn’t want to be politically correct, he wants to be correct. He had the courage to stand up for what he believed.  I salute you Stephen, not only as a personal friend, and a friend of Israel, but as a great leader.”
Harper’s announcement of a planned visit for January was also welcome news.  Critics have noted that although he has been a staunch supporter of Israel in his words, he has yet to visit the country in his seven years as Prime Minister.
David Koschitzky, chairman of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), praised Harper’s decision following the latter’s speech.  “This official trip is an important indicator of the dynamic relationship that exists between two great countries, which has grown and strengthened under the prime minister’s leadership. This visit will provide Israelis with an opportunity to thank the prime minister for his steadfast friendship and support over many years.”  In Cooper’s words, Harper has “raised the bar of what is considered to be a true friend of Israel.”
Not everyone was enthusiastic about Harper’s professions of support for Israel, or the JNF’s activities in the Negev.  Some 200 demonstrators gathered outside the dinner venue, protesting the Prawer Plan, an Israeli government initiative which calls for the relocation of tens of thousands of Bedouin residents in the Negev region.  This demonstration came on the heels of the International Day of Rage held Saturday across Israel and in Europe against the same plan.
Approximately 200,000 Bedouins live in the Negev, most concentrated in an area around the city of Beersheba.  Many live in illegal settlements without basic services such as roads and sewage systems, and are spread out over vast tracts of land.  There is concern that with a growing population, the land will not be able to accommodate such an expansive lifestyle.  The Bill on the Arrangement of Bedouin Settlement in the Negev, also known as the Prawer-Begin Plan, or simply the Prawer Plan, calls for Israel to officially recognize most of the current Bedouin settlements, while relocating the residents of the remaining 35 settlements to towns built for their needs.  The Israeli government claims this will improve their economic situation and access to services, but critics claim the urbanization will not allow them to maintain their traditional occupation of herding livestock.  Some have called the plan a “land-grab” and accuse the government of anti-Arab racism.
JNF chairman Efi Stenzer, however, said the overwhelmingly positive response to the Negev dinner and Harper’s attendance put the demonstrations in perspective.  “KKL-JNF and its supporters all over the world will continue to strengthen the State of Israel with all its strength and will act fearlessly to reinforce it,” he told The Jerusalem Post.

Canada throws unwavering support behind Israel in Gaza war

Canada throws unwavering support behind Israel in Gaza war

Thursday, November 15, 2012 |  Ryan Jones, Israel Today

The government of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper once again demonstrated its unwavering support of Israel on Thursday when it unequivocally backed the Jewish state's military response to incessant terrorist rocket fire.

"We fundamentally believe that Israel has the right to defend itself and its citizens from terrorist threats," stated Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird. "Far too often, the Jewish people find themselves on the front lines in the struggle against terrorism, the great struggle of our generation."

Referencing the hundreds of terrorist rockets that sparked Israel's "Operation Pillar of Cloud" - a provocation much of the world has suddenly forgotten about - Baird said that Canada "condemns the terrorist group Hamas and stands with Israel as it deals with regional threats to peace and security."

The Obama Administration also issued a statement of support immediately following the start of Israel's surprise aerial campaign on Wednesday evening.

"We strongly condemn the barrage of rocket fire from Gaza into southern Israel," said US State Department spokesman Mark Toner. "We support Israel’s right to defend itself."

However, Toner also threw in what some might see as a veiled warning: "We encourage Israel to continue to take every effort to avoid civilian casualties."

It has been reported time and again that Israel takes more care to avoid civilian casualties than any nation on earth, including the United States. Some Israelis view remarks like Toner's as an assertion of moral superiority, and a suggestion that Israel needs to be reminded to act in a civil manner.

Of course, many also take it as a friendly warning that the rest of the international community is likely to use every Palestinian civilian casualty as a weapon to attack not only Israel's military actions, but its legitimacy as a nation.

Meanwhile, Russia and the Arab world predictably condemned Israel's military response in Gaza while almost completely ignoring the Hamas rocket barrage that preceded it, and Europe registered its displeasure over the "disproportionate" nature of the Israeli action.

Egypt recalled its ambassador to Israel in protest, and Israel returned the favor.

The Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, will meet with his Israeli counterpart Binyamin Netanyahu Friday in New York City.

Harper is in town as the UN General Assembly convenes but he will not address the assembly himself. Instead, his foreign minister John Baird will deliver a speech to the assembly Monday.

Harper was invited to New York by the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, which will bestow upon him the title of the World's Leading Statesman in a ceremony Thursday. So reports Canadian-Jewish newspaper Shalom Toronto.

Harper and Netanyahu are expected to discuss Iran's nuclear weapons project. Since Harper's election in 2006, Canada is considered to be Israel's closest ally. Official Canadian spokesmen have emphasized Canada's commitment to Israel's security, and Harper has said that Israel's enemies are also Canada's.

Canada stood by Israel after the Second Lebanon War and Cast Lead campaigns. It has recently broken off its diplomatic relations with Iran.

Israel to West: Follow Canada's lead

Israel to West: Follow Canada's lead

Israel to West: Follow Canada's lead
Canada's Stephen Foster & Netanyahu

Israel this week loudly praised Canada's decision to cut ties with Iran over its defiant nuclear program. Jerusalem insisted that the only way to prevent armed conflict in the region is for the rest of the West to similarly get a lot more serious about halting the Islamic Republic's quest to attain nuclear weapons.

"I would like to congratulate Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper for taking a daring and moral step...and thereby sending a principled and important message to the entire world," said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at Sunday's cabinet meeting. "I call on the entire international community, or at least on its responsible members, to follow in Canada's determined path and set Iran moral and practical red lines, lines that will stop its race to achieve nuclear weapons."

Hours later, an Israeli cabinet minister told Channel 2 News that Canada's decision to close its Tehran embassy had significantly lessened Israel's feeling that it must act alone against Iran. Israelis today believe that most of the West is either resigned to the idea of Iran attaining nuclear weapons, or is too weak to do anything about it. But if more nations follow Canada in truly isolating the Iranian regime, Israel will not feel so desperate as it determines what to do about the threat, suggested the unnamed minister.

In an interview with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Netanyahu said he was in talks with the United States to set red lines of its own for Iran. But later in the day, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blunted hopes that Canada's example would spark a broader international reaction by insisting that the Obama Administration would "not set deadlines" for Iran's compliance.

"We're convinced that we have more time to focus on sanctions," said Clinton.

US presidential challenger Mitt Romney used the opportunity to lay into Obama: "The president has not drawn us further away from a nuclear Iran and in fact Iran is closer to having nuclear capability than when he took office. This is the greatest failure of his foreign policy," Romney told NBC's "Meet the Press," adding, "In the words of [Israeli] Prime Minister Netanyahu, 'Iran has not changed its nuclear course one iota by virtue of this president's policies.' And that's something I intend to change."

Meanwhile, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met in Tehran with Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar, telling his guest that the "arrogant powers and enemies are trying to manage the developments in the region so as to save the Zionist regime [from destruction]."

The presumptive Republican candidate for president, Mitt Romney, tops a Jewish publication's list of non-Jews "who are most positively influencing the Jewish future."

"Love or hate his politics," writes the Algemeiner, "Romney’s vocal support for Israel as a contender for the world’s top job, has challenged the incumbent and many Americans to rediscover their own understanding of the United States’ special relationship with the Jewish state."

"His tough stance on Iran has put the Ayatollahs on notice. In his recent trip to the Holy Land, he acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and cited the historic connection of the Jewish people with the land, which has gone a long way in underlining the Jewish narrative regarding Israel on the world stage, thereby earning him the top spot this year."

Also on the list were:

Rupert Murdoch, CEO of News Corporation, who was described as "the patriarch of an unparalleled international media conglomerate that has stood out for its overall fair portrayal of Israel in related news items."

Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, whose "support for Israel and friendship to Canada’s Jewish community has been unwavering."

Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, who is cited as being largely responsible for cultivating and developing the "vital alliance" between his country and Israel.

MK Ayoob Kara, Deputy Israeli Minister, "a Druze Israeli who has been recognized as the Knesset’s most pro-Israel Arab."

Eric Schmidt, Google Chairman, who said in June: “There are no disadvantages to investing in Israel – just advantages. Israel has the most important high-tech center in the world after the US.”

Michael Gove, British Secretary of State for Education, who has been "particularly active in stamping out curriculum anti-Semitism that appeared on more than one occasion," and has shown support for Jewish education, according to the Algemeiner.
