Will the Terror Ever Cease? ✡ "A Time For Peace" - ISRAEL365

A time to love and a time to hate; a time for war
and a time for peace.

ECCLESIASTES (3:8)

עֵת לֶאֱהֹב וְעֵת לִשְׂנֹא עֵת מִלְחָמָה וְעֵת שָׁלוֹם

קוהלת ג:ח

ayt le-e-hov v'-ayt li-s'-no ayt mil-kha-ma v'-ayt sha-lom

Jerusalem Inspiration

We gain beautiful insight into Solomon's role as King of Jerusalem just by studying his Hebrew name. In Hebrew, Solomon is שלמה/sh-lo-mo. Look for the root of the word and you'll see שלום/sha-LOM, peace! King Solomon built the first Temple in Jerusalem, without "hammers, chisels or any iron instruments" (I Kings 6:7), so that no instruments of war would be used and peace would be built into its very foundation. It symbolized complete peace between man and God and between all the nations of the world.

An Inside Terror Job

A Jewish woman was brutally murdered while defending her children from a terrorist who broke into their home in Otniel on Sunday afternoon.   Preliminary investigation points to the murderer being a worker in the area.

Jerusalem Inspiration

Today's verse is the only time the Bible teaches us what God does each and every day, “His eyes are upon it (the Land of Israel) from the beginning of the year till the end.” For those of us Bible believers who seek to emulate God as much as possible, we must stop and learn it by heart and commit ourselves to making a daily connection with the Land of Israel as He does. What better way is there to connect to God's land than by studying God's holy Bible?

Israeli Technology is Everywhere!

For those who want to boycott Israel and Israeli products, think again! Most of the basic and indispensible technology we use every day was developed in Israel!

"Be Ye Very Courageous" ✡ Bring an IDF Soldier to Your Campus or Community!

Therefore be ye very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left.

Jerusalem Inspiration

Throughout the book of Joshua, the Children of Israel are told “to be strong” and “to be courageous.” It is significant that this command applies to both spiritual tasks, such as observing the entire Torah of Moses, and to physical tasks, such as fighting battles in the Land of Israel. A complete national life requires both spiritual and physical strength. In today’s Israeli army, there are many soldiers who exemplify this through their devotion to both Torah study and to military service. These students and graduates of Zionist seminaries are both courageous soldiers and Torah scholars, and serve as role models for all. Today, these righteous soldiers are standing between the people of Israel and violent terrorists who want to eradicate the Jewish State. American Friends of LIBI gives IDF soldiers the support, assistance, and tools they need to defend their nation. Help strengthen Israel's first line of defense against terror - the IDF!

Jerusalem Inspiration - Israel365

God said to Moses, saying, "The daughters of Zelophehad speak properly. You shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among the brothers of their father."

Jerusalem Inspiration

According to Jewish tradition, a name has deep spiritual dimensions, shaping a person’s character throughout life. We therefore look towards our ancestors and select a fitting role model whom we want to emulate. The Book of Numbers describes a righteous woman, Noa, one of the five daughters of Zelophehad who demonstrated an intense love for the Land of Israel. The name Noa in Hebrew means "pleasant," but also is associated with a passionate love for the Promised Land.

Joe Aminoff's photo of children in the religious Jerusalem neighborhood of Mea She'arim. The name, which means "a hundred gates," was used to refer to the "hundredfold" bumper crop Isaac reaped with divine favor (Gen. 26:12). That section was the Torah portion of the week in 1874, when a group of Jerusalemites resolved to build this neighborhood outside the crowded walled Old City, and chose this as a promising name.
