"It Brought Forth a Blossom" ✡ Shabbat Shalom from Beautiful Israel

The staff of Aaron of the house of Levi had blossomed; it brought forth a blossom, sprouted a bud and almonds ripened.

Shabbat Inspiration

This week's Torah portion (Numbers 16-18) discusses the rebellion by Korach against the leadership of Moses and Aaron. Upon careful analysis, a remarkable pattern emerges, one with a powerful lesson for those who still try to rebel against God’s will, especially when it comes to denying the Jewish people’s right to the Land. Sign this vital petition showing you stand with Israel.

How to Con America and Get a Nuclear Bomb

How did Iran manage to dupe America to be set firmly on the road to nuclear weapons? Iran cleverly dodged inspections, increased its centrifuges and continued to enrich uranium. No deal is better than a bad deal.

Almond tree blossoms by Ilan Rosen. They are the first trees to blossom throughout Israel, and the pink and white flowers give way to almonds in just a few months. Almond trees have grown in Israel since Biblical times and were amongst the gifts sent by Jacob to Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 43:11).

Hi Rabbi, I support Israel because it is what my Lord wants me to do. I am a Gentile and I am 82 years old. I remember my old Grandad used to tell me to watch Israel long before the State was founded. I live in Scotland.
Blessings, William Forwell

ISRAEL365 - "The land will give its fruit..." Leviticus 25:19

The land will give its fruit

and you will eat your fill;

you will dwell securely upon it.

LEVITICUS (25:19)

Today's Israel Inspiration

The name Leviticus comes from “Levi”, who was the father of the priestly tribe, and much of its 27 chapters describe in great detail the priestly rituals. As we study all of the intricate details of the rituals and the sacrificial offerings, we discover that their overriding purpose is to bring the people closer to God in His permanent dwelling place in this world, in Jerusalem, as it says: “build for Me a Tabernacle so I can dwell in your midst” (Exodus 25:8). The Israel Bible is a unique Hebrew and English Bible with fascinating Israel commentary. On Tuesday, you're invited to join Rabbi Tuly Weisz's free Bible Club webinar to discuss the Book of Exodus.

Land Flowing With Milk (and Honey)

The Bible describes Israel as a land flowing with milk and honey. In that respect, it’s been proven at least half right: Israel has by far the most productive dairy cows in the world.

Religious Head Coverings Approved by FIFA

Good news for religious soccer players: The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, or FIFA, has approved the use of religious head-coverings during soccer matches.

A grove of date palms by Boruch Len. Since date palms stand so tall with abundant fronds of leaves, the majestic tree was a symbol of victory in ancient Israel and was depicted on coins minted by the Maccabees.
