Standing in support of Israel, Jews, and believers in all the nations, in the name of Jesus (Yeshua). Sharing biblical truth, encouragement, news, and messages by Steve Martin.
“For You are my hope; Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.”Psalm 71:5, NASB
Lack of confidence can hold you back, keep you from growing in faith, afraid that if you step out and do something for the Lord you will fall, fail, and look foolish to everyone.
I had that concern in my school days, and even into my adult years. Because of low self-esteem, putting myself “beneath others”, I lacked the courage to do at times what I knew I should have done.
I let the fear of man, the opinion of others, dictate what I did or how I did it.
But the time came when the Lord said to me, “Either you live by what others think and say or you do what I say and do. Your choice. Who will you serve?”
It is a decision you have to make. Will you serve man, the fear of man, or will you chose to serve the Lord, and do what He has called you to do?
When I made that decision, to serve Him above all, even as I served in ministry with leaders who sometimes didn’t have my best in mind, the Lord gave me the courage, and with it the confidence, to say and do what is written in His Word.
Having that strong foundation, that trust in Him, gave me the confidence I needed to hear His voice, choose to walk in His ways, and even receive the reward He promises as we do.
Who will you choose to heed? The fear of man or trust in the One who created you?
Confidence grows in us as we hear and obey, and see the results. There is nothing shady about it. Our Lord has proven over and over again that His way is always the way we need to choose.
It needs to be a firm decision on your part – choosing man’s way or His way.
God is our hope. Have your confidence grow in His love for you. He has your back.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called,
obeyed [a]by going out to a place which he was
to receive for an inheritance; and he left, not knowing where he was
going.” Hebrews 11:8, NASB
Journeys begin with a step. If you want to go forward, you must
step forward. When God calls us to move out, He is expecting us to do so by
trusting in Him, to have faith in His leading and provision.
All throughout the Bible, those who heard the Lord call
them had to respond. Not in fear or trepidation, but in the knowledge that He would
be with them each step along the way. If you and I look back and see where we
have come from, and His promises fulfilled in our lives thus far, we too can
have the courage and strength to trust Him for the next part of our life’s
journey.
I look to Abraham (Avraham in Hebrew), King David, the
prophets, and Paul as men, and women who joined them, as my example in how to
trust the Lord and walk in the calling He has given me. Above all, I keep my
eyes on my Lord Jesus, Yeshua HaMashiach.
“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who
blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on
with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no
parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.
Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that
exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the
way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When
you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by
item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”
Hebrews 12:1-3, The Message
It is a faith walk. It must be a walk of faith. Otherwise,
anyone could do it. You and I are not anyone.
Because of our Redeemer, Who saved us to have eternal life
with Him, we can put our feet on solid ground, and go as the Holy Spirit, Ruach
HaKodesh, leads us on. Every step of the way as He guides. Though not easy, it
is rewarding and fulfilling as we see His hand, as believers in our God.
You have been called to be a man or woman of faith. Watch
those who walk among you who have grown in faith and in courage. Aspire to be like
them.

Always On Time
“…and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined theirappointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might feel around for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and [exist…” Acts 17: 26-28, NASB
A wise man I have always respected once said, “There are no emergencies in the Kingdom of God”. His name was (is) Derek Prince, who passed on to glory in 2003. For me, he was one of the best Bible teachers I have ever known. He would teach the Word of God in ways I and others could fully understand. Thank you, Derek.
As I listened to the wonderful worship song by Elevation Worship, “Always On Time”, thinking back to what I have been taught, our Lord God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, proved that there are no emergencies in the Kingdom of God, and they truly, the Holy Trinity, are always on time. When there seems to be an emergency, or even a time of indecision or “nothing happening”, the Lord proves He has us right in the palm of His hand.
He has always been on time when I needed some encouragement, a decision made, a way to go when the going looked bleak, the seemingly impossible, “never going to happen” moments. And I know you have had those times too. As you look back, you can say “Yes, You were there.” Right?
Our Good Lord has always been faithful. He can be no other. He can do no other. He knows all, sees all, will give faith for all, as we call on His Name. We will find, as we seek Him, the amazing Lord He is, the One Who is worthy of our life that we give to Him, that He has the best for us. And as we offer up our life to Him in faith and trust, we can know His will for us more fully. And later we will look back and say, “You were always on time.”
“Never been a minute, never been a moment, that You weren’t in it. There’s never been a time that You didn’t see me through God, so I worship You.” (Some of the lyrics to the noted song as sung by Bello Cordero. I share the full lyrics below.)
Trust Him. Continually give yourself to Him. The One Who loves you is always on time.
Message #18 in my series (2025): “Always On Time" – Sept. 27, 2025
Lyrics of “Always On Time”, Elevation Worship, as sung by Bella Cordero.
Lyrics: “I remember how You provided, how You held me through the night. I remember how You sustained me when You stepped in to save my life.
If I knew then what I know now I would be still, and let You work it out. Jesus, I was tossed in the water, but I never went under. You were always on time. Jesus, when I went through the fire. You were right there beside me. You were always on time.
Remained #1 on the Amazon New Releases List for "Jerusalem Travel Guides" for a month. (I love taking people with me to the Land of Israel.)
In several of my previous 38 books, I wrote stories and chapters on Israel and our friends in the Land. Their lives, their courage, and the Ahava Adventures we have had, sharing our time with them in Eretz Yisrael.
Having given 39 years so far (and this being my 39th book!) to loving and supporting the Chosen People, as the Living God of Israel so ordained throughout the Bible of Christians and the Jewish people, it is proper and time to publish.
Sharing this book, containing some of my experiences in Jerusalem and all of Israel, is a joy, and also a promise to always stand with Israel. I know it will stir your heart as He reveals more of His plans for all.
Special Note: I have reduced the price on the hard cover and paperback, to just over my cost. I want you to have one. I will receive minimal royalty.
We certainly are grateful for your support, which we will use for our volunteer months in Jerusalem. Contributions are welcome online by clicking here: DONATE HERE ON OUR WEBSITE
Who Do You Trust? by Steve Martin, Love For His People ministry
March 12, 2021 Love For His People, Charlotte, North Carolina USA
“Yeshua said, “I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6-7, Complete Jewish Bible
Who do you trust? What person, news outlet, organization can you look to, believe in, and put your trust in, knowing they are telling the truth?
Not Congress. Probably now has the lowest approval rating in decades.
Not the President. If they ever would have allowed the actual facts to be presented from the previous national election, this one in that position wouldn’t be there.
School teachers? Their unions oppose opening the schools for “safety” reasons – when science has already stated that having kids back in school is not a super-spreader of the China virus.
Even many religious leaders don’t or won’t teach and preach the truth, fearing loss of income needed to finance the huge TV program budget, the big campus buildings, the high staff payrolls, starting at the top.
So, who do you trust?
With the ever-changing social culture around us, whether it be “woke”, “cancel culture”, or any other movement proclaiming whose lives matter, there must be a foundation, a long-founded basis on which to place one’s belief and confidence in. And there is.
It is the Bible. It is the Word of God. It is that which has been given to us, written by the Jewish prophets, the Jewish patriarchs, those believers in the One God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, to record and pass on the truth on which we are to base our lives.
We can trust God Who gave us His Word.
In these days of continuing wavering, mistrust, and unfounded proclamations being thrown out there and stated to be truth, all that is said and done must be weighed against the standard on which all must be tested. If it is not in the Bible and stated as truth, then it is not truth.
Anyone who stands up and declares an opinion cannot be trusted if that opinion goes against the Word of God. They can denounce His Word. They can say it is not so. They can attempt to replace His foundation truths with their own laws and decrees, but when it is all said and done, only His Word will have the capacity to stand. All else will fail.
Growing up during my high school days, I found comfort and confidence in knowing that if the world was going one way, I was meant to go the other. If society were presenting a new thought or idea in behavior and “never before seen or heard” way of life, I could be very sure that when compared to the Word of God, it was the wrong way. By God’s grace He kept many of us from going down the wrong path.
And so it is today. Whatever new logic, new concept, or new “gospel” is presented to us, we must continually base our actions and reactions on the foundation written in the Bible and act accordingly. If it means to stand on what others would call old and outdated ideals, and label us with every name they can think of, then so be it.
Jesus, Yeshua states plainly of our times in which we must decide on whom we will trust.
“I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” Revelation 3:8, NASU
Don’t back down when confronted with the latest craze of societal, political, or religious thought that goes against the written Word of God. If we deny Him, He will deny us.
“If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:12-13, NKJV
We are the ones being called upon to hold the line, to defend the truth, to keep pushing for righteousness and justice in our lands. We cannot grow weary and lose heart, for our God is continually for us.
