Always
On Time
“…and He made from one man every
nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth,
having determined their appointed times and the
boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they
might feel around for Him and find Him, though He is not far
from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and [exist…” Acts 17: 26-28, NASB
A wise man I have always respected once said, “There are no emergencies in the Kingdom of God”. His name was (is) Derek Prince, who passed on to glory in 2003. For me, he was one of the best Bible teachers I have ever known. He would teach the Word of God in ways I and others could fully understand. Thank you, Derek.
As I listened to the wonderful worship song by Elevation Worship, “Always On Time”, thinking back to what I have been taught, our Lord God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, proved that there are no emergencies in the Kingdom of God, and they truly, the Holy Trinity, are always on time. When there seems to be an emergency, or even a time of indecision or “nothing happening”, the Lord proves He has us right in the palm of His hand.
He has always been on time when I needed some encouragement, a decision made, a way to go when the going looked bleak, the seemingly impossible, “never going to happen” moments. And I know you have had those times too. As you look back, you can say “Yes, You were there.” Right?
Our Good Lord has always been faithful. He can be no other. He can do no other. He knows all, sees all, will give faith for all, as we call on His Name. We will find, as we seek Him, the amazing Lord He is, the One Who is worthy of our life that we give to Him, that He has the best for us. And as we offer up our life to Him in faith and trust, we can know His will for us more fully. And later we will look back and say, “You were always on time.”

Trust Him. Continually give yourself to Him. The One Who loves you is always on time.

God’s Personal Name - Yahovah
This is about the personal name of the Father. Which is also the corporate name of the ever existent God of the Universe Who flows as One in functional harmony as the Triune Godhead; Father, Son & Holy Spirit. His name is Yehovah, pronounced phonetically as Yah-Ho-VAH, accent on the ‘VAH’.
Who started messing with the Holy Name(s)?
Babylonian Talmudic Jewish rabbis concocted two traditions. God’s name was only to be spoken on the Day of Atonement. And, the myth that its correct pronunciation had been lost. Then, throughout the centuries their scribes busied themselves expunging the name, with its added pronunciation vowels, from every manuscript of the entire Torah/Tanach that they could find that gave the authentic name and pronunciation. Other names/phrases/symbols were inserted; Adonai, Elohim, Yahweh, the tetragrammaton YHVW & the like.
As time progressed, the Romans added to the deception. They craved unity in their Empire and realized that a common disruptive force was impassioned feuds over superiority’s of religion (ie Our god is the real and most powerful god and his name is this or that deity). Their solution was to outlaw the use of any personal name for a deity. All but the generic name for God was forbidden. That way feuds and wars didn’t ensue as the claim was: ‘We all worship the same God. We just have different names for him.’ As a result of this prohibition, a 2nd Century rabbi was burned at the stake for using the God of Creation’s personal name of Yahovah. The Lord has a habit of catching men in their own devices fouling their plans of deceptions about Him.
Yahovah raised up an Orthodox Jewish scholar, of the Karaite sect of Judaism, Nehemia Gordon. Karaites don’t accept many of the assertions of Talmudic writ and traditions. They only accept what can be proven by thorough investigation of all Torah/Tanach manuscripts. Gordon’s passion has been to uncover the conspiracy to wipe out the true name, Yahovah.
Nehemia’s team has discovered over 2,000 ancient manuscripts including the Dead Sea Scrolls that contain thousands of references to the spelling of Yahovah. All found had the vowel jots in place. These were missed by Talmudic scribes and thus revealed that a terrible and blasphemous lie has been in play. He strongly advocates that the Holy Name is Yahovah’s gift to the Chosen Jews and Gentiles as well. It’s to be spoken in reverent joy in prayers, blessings, private and public worship and thanksgiving. Look up and examine the Strong numbers after words such as ‘Lord’, ‘God’ et al in modern online texts. Also, please note the context in the following passages - Jeremiah 16:19-21; Psalms 148:12-13; Numbers 6:22-27.
Now consider this: Jesus came to declare the Name of His Father, John 17:26. He also promised to prophetically declare/sing His attributes, praises & name in congregations as believers are inspired to prophesy, Hebrews 2:12. Think now; if you were required to cite your father’s name on an employment application, you wouldn’t fill it in with ‘father’, would you? No! You’d write in his given name. In our context the name declared and extolled would be the personal name that Father has given Himself, Yahovah. Amen.

Why now at 70 and not 30?
“After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him (Moses) in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning thorn bush.” Acts 7:30, NASB
In Exodus, we read a little bit more of Moses' response to the Lord’s calling to him, after the Lord appeared to him.
7-8 God said, “I’ve taken a good, long look at the
affliction of my people in Egypt. I’ve heard their cries for deliverance from
their slave masters; I know all about their pain. And now I have come down to
help them, pry them loose from the grip of Egypt, get them out of that country
and bring them to a good land with wide-open spaces, a land lush with milk and
honey, the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the
Hivite, and the Jebusite.
9-10 “The Israelite cry for help has come to me, and I’ve seen
for myself how cruelly they’re being treated by the Egyptians. It’s time for
you to go back: I’m sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the People of
Israel, out of Egypt.”
11 Moses answered God, “But why me? What
makes you think that I could ever go to Pharaoh and lead the children of Israel
out of Egypt?” (emphasis mine)
12 “I’ll be with you,” God said. “And this will be the proof
that I am the one who sent you: When you have brought my people out of Egypt,
you will worship God right here at this very mountain.”
13 Then Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the People of
Israel and I tell them, ‘The God of your fathers sent me to you’; and they ask
me, ‘What is his name?’ What do I tell them?”
14 God said to Moses, “I-AM-WHO-I-AM. Tell the People of
Israel, ‘I-AM sent me to you.’” The Message
I think her heart became mine, which had come from the same Father.
But now, at the ripe old age of 70, that long-held desire of my heart, which He had put there, is being fulfilled. My wife Laurie and I are going to Jerusalem to volunteer at Christian Friends of Israel for three months. Finally!
But why did the Lord wait so long? Why wasn’t the time right for me to go at 30, when I, really, really wanted to? When I was young, and full of wisdom, and knew more than the Lord did. Or so I thought at times.
Looking back at the patriarchs, i.e., Abraham, Moses, even David, it is almost plain to see that the Lord loves those who are “seasoned”, “prepared”, “having gone through the wringer” (an ancient term that very old people know about.)
I do see the wisdom of the Lord now. It has only taken me 40 years. Now firmly believing, as one should, that “when I am weak He is strong”.
“Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10, NASB
God the Father seems to
know what is best. After all, “Father Knows Best”, as the TV show proved,
beginning in 1954 (the year of my birth) through 1960, had us all believing in
a godly father, a godly mother, a loving household, and the good ways of American
life back then. Before much of it was stained by the ways of the world.
My heart is to see those of you who have reached those “golden years” to realize that it is not the time to retire, to sit on the front porch swing (which I do enjoy) and read the latest Robert Whitlow novel (whom I know personally and highly recommend.)
It is time for us to use that wisdom, those years of hard knocks and knives in the back, scares on our knees from praying, and joys that we know He has blessed us with, and go to the cities, the states, the nations…and do what our great Father, the Living God of Israel, has so prepared for us to do.
