Why Crazy Is the New Normal

Clarion Call, by Matt Barber
No, you haven't lost your mind.
Yes, America has.
If someone just 20 years ago had said, for starters, that we'd someday elect an anti-American president who would intentionally flood our borders with millions of illegal immigrants and Islamist "refugees," that we'd soon celebrate as "heroic" a former Olympic champion for mutilating his body and pretending to be a woman, that we'd have five extremist lawyers on the Supreme Court unconstitutionally force the radical redefinition of marriage to mollify people with same-sex fetishes—you might call that person crazy.
Well, crazy is the new normal. America has lost its mind. We've snapped. Anyone with eyes to see, ears to hear and a brain to think knows it.
But why? How did it happen? What exactly caused America's moral GPS to send our nation headlong into oncoming traffic?
And can anything be done to fix it?
Maybe once in a generation are we so graced with a communicator like veteran journalist and best-selling author David Kupelian. His matchless ability to unpack the complicated issues of our day with simplistic precision is nothing short of genius, a gift from God he has shared once more in his latest book, The Snapping of the American Mind: Healing a Nation Broken by a Lawless Government and Godless Culture.
As I've said before, when David puts pen to paper, it "has the same effect on your brain that yawning has on your ears at high altitude. Things just suddenly pop with crystal clarity." The closest comparison I can make to David Kupelian is author and Christian apologist C.S. Lewis. As a Lewis enthusiast of the first order, I don't make that comparison lightly.
In, The Snapping of the American Mind, Kupelian one ups himself by exploring, in lucid detail, the root cause of our current age of lawlessness and moral anarchy. Yet, somehow, he manages to leave us filled with hope for American revival and renewal.Snapping is just the book America needs for a time such a time as this.
In it you will learn:
  • How the left has succeeded in redefining not just "marriage," but the rest of Americans' core values, from "equality" to "justice" to "freedom";
  • Why America, unquestionably the least racist nation on earth, is now being portrayed as a deeply racist pariah state;
  • Why the United States is intentionally being flooded with millions of needy, dependent, Third World immigrants;
  • How a group that amputates healthy body parts and has a 41 percent attempted suicide rate is officially declared "normal," yet new "research" suggests conservatives have malformed brains;
  • Which of the two major U.S. political parties has a far higher incidence of mental illness;
  • Why Americans today are more stressed-out, confused, conflicted and addicted than at any time in the nation's history—and where this ominous trend is leading;
  • And much, much more ...
Kupelian, who is vice president and managing editor of WND (WorldNetDaily) and editor of Whistleblower magazine, authored two previous blockbuster bestsellers, The Marketing of Evil and its sequel, How Evil Works.
"The progressive left under Obama," he writes of his new book, "is accomplishing much more than just enlarging government, redistributing wealth and de-Christianizing the culture. With its wild celebration of sexual anarchy, its intimidating culture of political correctness and its incomprehension of the fundamental sacredness of human life, it is also, whether intentionally or not, promoting widespread dependency, debauchery, family breakdown, crime, corruption, depression and addiction."
"Surveying this growing chaos in American society," notes the book's summary, "Kupelian exposes both the utopian revolutionaries and their extraordinary methods that have turned America's most cherished values literally upside down—to the point that madness is celebrated and normality demonized."
In essence, Snapping untangles the modern-day manifestation of the timeless biblical truth found in Isaiah 5:20: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who exchange darkness for light, and light for darkness; who exchange bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
But unlike the woeful occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kupelian offers a substantive path forward—real hope and real change that will fundamentally repair what the "progressive" left has "fundamentally transformed."
"I don't give up hope," said Kupelian on the radio show Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. "I mean, you could say, if there's no hope then what do you do? You go off, you drop out, you live for yourself, for your family, and you try to live a good life. No; too many people have fought and bled and died to help this country and to help strangers in foreign lands. There's still half the country that has not had their mind snapped."
Which half of the country maintains majority influence over the whole, may determine whether we have any future at all.
The Snapping of the American Mind is good medicine for an America gone mad.
Pick it up today. Read. Learn. Plan.
Because America's time may be running out.

Therefore, so said the Lord God: As a vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given over to the fire to be consumed, have I placed the dwellers of Jerusalem.

Today's Israel Inspiration

Grapes are one of the seven biblical species of the Land of Israel and teach us a vital life lesson. Just like grapes must be totally crushed in order to produce quality wine, it is through our trials and tribulations that we can reach our highest potential. In today's verse, Ezekiel prophesied that the inhabitants of Jerusalem would be destroyed just as a vine that no longer produces grapes is burned for fuel. The message of the grape, however, is that the pain and anguish will eventually bring out the best in them, and inspire them to return to the Almighty. Time and again, Israel's enemies rise up to destroy, yet the Jewish nation attaches itself more deeply to the Land with renewed faith. Now is the time to plant roots in the Holy Land and come closer to the Almighty.

Hot dogs, bacon, processed meats linked to cancer - USA TODAY

Hot dogs, bacon, processed meats linked to cancer

Eating hot dogs, ham and other processed meat can cause colorectal cancer, and eating red meat "probably" can cause cancer, the World Health Organization's cancer agency reported Monday.
Kurt Straif of the International Agency for Cancer Research said the risk of developing colorectal cancer from eating processed meat remains small but rises with the amount consumed. Consuming red meat was linked to colorectal, pancreatic and prostate cancer, but the link was not as strong, the IARC report said.
“In view of the large number of people who consume processed meat, the global impact on cancer incidence is of public health importance," Straif said.
The IARC report labeled processed meat a carcinogen — cigarettes are similarly labeled — and said red meat is "probably carcinogenic to humans."
The North American Meat Institute scoffed at the report, saying it ignored "numerous" studies showing no link between meat and cancer.
“Red and processed meat are among 940 agents reviewed by IARC and found to pose some level of theoretical ‘hazard,"  institute spokeswoman Betsy Booren said. "Only one substance, a chemical in yoga pants, has been declared by IARC not to cause cancer."
Processed meat was defined as meat transformed through salting, curing, fermentation, smoking "or other processes to enhance flavor or improve preservation." The most common processed meats consumed in the U.S. include hot dogs, sausages, bacon, ham, canned meat and beef jerky.
The IARC said it considered more than 800 studies that investigated possible links between a dozen types of cancer with the consumption of red meat or processed meat in many countries and populations with diverse diets.
The experts concluded that each 50 gram — about 1.75 ounce — portion of processed meat eaten daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by 18%, the IARC said
IARC director Christopher Wild said the findings support current public health recommendations to limit intake of meat but stressed that red meat has nutritional value. He said governments and international regulatory agencies must balance the risks and benefits of eating red meat and processed meat "to provide the best possible dietary recommendations.”

Why Is This Happening? Unprecedented Flooding Has Hit The U.S. Within The Last 30 Days - Michael Snyder

South Carolina Flood 2015

Posted: 25 Oct 2015   The Economic Collapse  Michael Snyder

Over the past 30 days, major floods have hit the east coast, the west coast and now the middle part of the country.  So why is this happening?  Why is the U.S. being hit by so many catastrophic weather events all of a sudden?  During the past month flooding has caused billions of dollars in damage, and in many areas the clean up is going to take well into next year.  Some pundits are blaming El Nino, but others are pointing to other potential reasons for why this may be happening.  Let’s start by taking a look at some of the biggest flood events that have happened over the past 30 days…

Hurricane Joaquin never made landfall on the east coast, but moisture from the storm had a tremendous impact – particularly in South Carolina.  In fact, the governor of the state said that the region had not seen that type of rain “in a thousand years”
“We haven’t had this level of rain in the low-country in a thousand years — that’s how big this is,” said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Days of record rainfall and catastrophic flooding left at least seventeen people dead in South Carolina and two dead in North Carolina, Oct. 6, 2015. Thirteen dams have failed.
It would be very difficult to overstate the amount of damage that was caused by this storm.  Some officials are estimating that the total amount of economic damage done “will probably be in the billions of dollars”
The rains may have stopped in South Carolina, but the danger and the work to rebuild are far from over.
 “I believe that things will get worse before they get better,” Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin told reporters Monday.

Eventually the floods will abate, but then we have to access the damage, and I anticipate that damage will probably be in the billions of dollars, and we’re going to have to work to rebuild. Some peoples’ lives as they know them will never be the same,” he said.

Of course this is far from the only destructive flooding event that we have seen in recent weeks. Out in California they have been getting hit with disaster after disaster.  First, the wildfire season came very close to setting a national record this year, and it was particularly bad out west.  The following comes from USA Today
The amount of land burned by wildfires in the U.S. this year has surpassed 9 million acres, according to data released Thursday by the National Interagency Fire Center.
This is only the fourth time on record the country has reached the 9 million-acre mark, center spokesman Randall Eardley said in an e-mail. The area burned is roughly equivalent to the size of New Jersey and Connecticut combined.
All of the top years for acres burned have occurred since 2000, Eardley said. The worst year occurred in 2006, with 9.8 million acres. In 2007 and 2012, 9.3 million acres were burned, he said. If another 800,000 acres are burned this year, an all-time record would be set.
I have a feeling that when the final numbers are all in and tallied that 2015 will end up setting an all-time record for wildfires.

But after a really dry, hot summer, southern California got surprised by a deluge of heavy rain this month and the results were absolutely catastrophic.  The following comes from Fox News
A flood of mud and debris triggered by heavy rainfall in Southern California rushed onto streets and highways Thursday, stranding hundreds in their cars and closing a major interstate.
 Nearly 40 miles of Interstate 5 north in Los Angeles were still closed Friday afternoon after heavy rainfall sent mud, debris and even boulders streaming into the north-south running freeway, according to the California Department of Transportation.
Some people, stuck in up to 5 feet of mud, were forced to camp overnight in their vehicles, according to NBC Los Angeles. Pictures on social media showed some cars submerged in debris up to the windshields.
Authorities are still digging people out from this mess several days later.  In fact, the dead body of one man was just pulled out of a van that had been encased in several feet of mud
Southern California fire crews discovered a man’s body Tuesday inside a van that had been buried under several feet of mud after a flash flood overran a road near Los Angeles last week.
And just over this past weekend, the middle part of the country has had to deal with tremendous flooding as well.  Hurricane Patricia turned out to be the world’s strongest hurricane since at least 1970, and the remnants of this storm are hitting the state of Texas quite hard.

The small town of Powell, Texas got 20 inches of rain in just 30 hours, and a Union Pacific train that was running nearby was derailed by the heavy flood waters
A Union Pacific freight train carrying cement derailed in Navarro County after a creek overflowed, washing out the tracks. Locomotives and rail cars were pushed on their sides, and a two-person crew was forced to swim to safety.
Repair teams cleared the derailed cars by Sunday morning, but they were not expected to be righted for several hours and a locomotive was not seen being moved until later in the day, Union Pacific spokesman Jeff DeGraff said on Sunday afternoon.
All of this has happened within the past 30 days.

So is there a reason why all of these events have happened?

Of course some people say that it is just a coincidence that all of these storms have hit us in such close proximity.

Others are pointing to the extremely strong El Nino that has developed.  Here is an excerpt from a recent Bloomberg report
It has choked Singapore with smoke, triggered Pacific typhoons and left Vietnamese coffee growers staring nervously at dwindling reservoirs. In Africa, cocoa farmers are blaming it for bad harvests, and in the Americas, it has Argentines bracing for lower milk production and Californians believing that rain will finally, mercifully fall.
 El Nino is back and in a big way.

Its effects are just beginning in much of the world — for the most part, it hasn’t really reached North America — and yet it’s already shaping up potentially as one of the three strongest El Nino patterns since record-keeping began in 1950. It will dominate weather’s many twists and turns through the end of this year and well into next. And it’s causing gyrations in everything from the price of Colombian coffee to the fate of cold-water fish.
That certainly doesn’t sound promising for the months ahead.

But some climate “experts” are really playing down the impact of El Nino.  Instead, they are attempting to convince us that what we are witnessing is simply the result of “man-made climate change”, and they are using this as an opportunity to promote their agenda.

And there are yet others that see a spiritual dimension to all of this.  In fact, there are some out there that believe that all of this flooding could be a sign that the judgment of God on America has begun.

So what do you think?

Do you believe that there is a reason why the U.S. is experiencing so much flooding lately?

Jerusalem Grand Mufti: Mosque Has Stood on Temple Mount “Since Creation of World”

“An evildoer listens to wicked lips, and a liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue.” (Proverbs 17:4)
The grand mufti of Jerusalem declared on Sunday that the Jewish Temples never sat atop the Temple Mount and that the holy site has been the location of a mosque “since the creation of the world.”
Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the Muslim cleric in charge of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, told Israel’s Channel 2 in an Arabic interview that the Temple Mount was really a mosque “3,000 years ago, and 30,000 years ago,” dating all the way back to the beginning of the world.
“This is the Al-Aqsa Mosque that Adam, peace be upon him, or during his time, the angels built,” Hussein explained, speaking of the 8th century mosque built by Caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan.
The most holy site in all of Judaism and the third most holy in Islam, the Temple Mount has become a source of tension and cause for terrorism by the Palestinians against Israel.
Support the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation Today
Appointed by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in 2006, Hussein has openly endorsed suicide bombings against Israel and is known for ignoring both textual and archaeological evidence, from Muslim and non-Muslim sources, proving Jewish connections to the holy site.
The mufti’s denial of any religious and historic Jewish connections to the Temple Mount are the latest in a string of Palestinian incitement against Israel. Palestinian officials have claimed Israel is attempting to change the status quo on the Temple Mount, in which non-Muslim prayer is banned.
Over the weekend, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed Israel’s commitment to the status quo. On Saturday, US Secretary of State John Kerry announced that Israel and Jordan have agreed on new Temple Mount security measures, including 24-hour surveillance cameras.

Scores dead as magnitude-7.5 quake hits Afghanistan

Scores of people have died after a magnitude 7.5. earthquake struck Afghanistan on Monday, causing deaths in neighboring Pakistan and tremors in northern India.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the epicenter of the quake was in the far northern Afghan province of Badakhshan, which borders Tajikistan and China.
"Significant casualties are likely and the disaster is potentially widespread," the USGS said.
Pakistani officials said the quake killed 145 people in northwestern Pakistan, bringing the total death toll from the disaster to 180, the Associated Press reported.
Agence France-Presse said the quake lasted for at least a minute.
In Afghanistan's Takhar province, west of Badakhshan, at least 12 students were killed in a stampede  at a girls’ school and at least five people died when homes collapsed in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, the AP reported.
At least 194 injured people were taken to a hospital in the Swat district of Pakistan and over 100 were taken to a hospital in Peshawar, northern Pakistan, the website Dawn reported. Arbab Muhammad Asim, district mayor of Peshawar, said: “"Many houses and buildings have collapsed in the city," AFP said.
People in Afghan capital Kabul, India's capital New Delhi and Pakistan's capital Islamabad reported feeling strong tremors. In Islamabad, walls swayed and people poured out of office buildings in a panic, reciting verses from the Quran, the AP said.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif asked authorities to use all resources to help any victims, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he has asked for an urgent assessment. The quake caused widespread power outages and cut phone lines in Kabul, according to the AP.
Delhi's metro stopped running during the tremor.
"All of around 190 trains plying on the tracks were stopped at the time of the earthquake. The lines and the trains are now being restored after basic inspection of respective lines," Delhi Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal told AFP.
In October 2005. a 7.6 magnitude earthquake in the Kashmir region rocked parts of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, killing more than 80,000 people.
