A Word of Wisdom for Those Receiving Prophetic Dreams in This Hour

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
Dreams are known as "the sleep language," and since the time of creation God has brought divine revelation to mortal men and women while they are sleeping. Scripture even calls a prophet a "dreamer of dreams" (see Deut. 13:1; Num. 12:6). Many Christians hold the mistaken impression that prophetic dream encounters are reserved for a small, elite group of especially sensitive or gifted people. But this simply is not the case.
Dreams are a specific portion of the prophetic ministry; they are not limited only to the prophetically gifted. Joel 2:28 says, "And it will be that, afterwards, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions" (Joel 2:28). This Scripture was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost and continues to be fulfilled in our own day. It is time for the church to return to a biblical understanding of dreams as an avenue of discerning God's voice.
For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. [One may hear God's voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings] (Job 33:14-16, AMPC).
I can testify personally that God has communicated and ministered to me in amazing ways through dreams. One of my delights is to review my dream logs and remember how God has spoken and blessed me with impartation over the years. As we go through life day by day, these dreams often seem minor compared to God's more dramatic visitations. But when we take time to look back, we can see how faithful God has been and how much He has given to us. Dreams can be a tremendous, awesome revelation of how much He loves us and cares about even the most microscopic parts of our lives.

Dreams With a Purpose
Dreams are often extremely practical. For example, the Lord has used dreams to heal my emotions and give power to my personal ministry. Through dreams, the Holy Spirit enhanced my ability to open my eyes of faith and see myself as God does. Also through dreams is where I first began to carry the "burden of the Lord" of prophetic intercession in compassion for others. Many people in our modern Western culture treat dreams as foolish or even demonic. But they don't know what they are missing!
The entire realm of prophecy, prophetic dreams and visions is openly supernatural and, for that reason alone, is too quickly set aside in our age driven by logic and knowledge.
Prophetic dreams are much like pregnancy and childbirth. When God speaks to us through a dream—or in one of His many other revelatory ways—it is like carrying a baby. In the natural, an expectant mother has no idea what her baby will look like until she sees the final product after birth. Although aware that a new life is growing inside her belly, she does not know if the child will have blonde, black, brown or red hair or will be intellectual, athletic or mechanically minded. What she does know for certain is that God has deposited new life in her, and as a mother she loves that life. Everything inside her is committed to guarding and caring for the new life that God has entrusted to her.
The same is true of prophetic dreams. When God gives us dreams, we have no idea what the end result will be. We must patiently and carefully carry the dream that God has conceived in us until He brings it to birth. When the fullness of time comes, we also receive a full understanding of the dream's meaning. What we do need to know is how to respond when a dream comes.
For me, this sort of "hands-off" surrender attitude has been key to the entire realm of spiritual dreams and revelation. Who better to interpret and fulfill our dream than the One who gave it to us? Drawing closer to God should be our heart's cry for any dream experience or supernatural encounter. If the experience doesn't bring us closer to Jesus, help us understand the work of the Cross, and become more firmly rooted in God's love, then we need to seriously question its validity and source.
Log Your Dreams
Because prophetic dreams can be so significant, keeping careful account of them is important. For this reason, I strongly encourage recording your dreams in a journal. Through our studies and our own experience—and sharing with others who are well-versed in dreams, visions and the prophetic realm—I have learned that as you seek God, He will often create a unique dream language reserved for just you and Him.
We do not serve a "cookie-cutter" God. He longs for a unique and individual relationship with each of us, so He often speaks to us using symbols or memories—either from our individual past or private thoughts, which are known only to Him and us. Over a period of time, He will teach each of us our spiritual alphabet, and logging dreams is one of these teaching tools.
A Word of Wisdom
As much as I appreciate dream encounters, I want to share a caution from Ecclesiastes 5:7 (NASB) "For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness." Although God gives us dreams for specific purposes and reasons, He also has given us a more sure word of prophecy in the Bible (see 2 Pet. 1:10). Life consists of much more than dreams. God warns us not to base our lives or decisions on dreams alone.
Here is the main point: Dreams and visions are wonderful, but our life is more than just dreams and visions. Our life is in our Master, Jesus Christ. Someone may reveal true and accurate information and still be a deceptive tool of the enemy to seduce us and draw us in by fascination, and lead us away from Christ.
We can't live in dreams, as wonderful as they may appear to be. If all you are doing is studying your dreams and seeking more of them, you are missing God's perfect will for your life. Seek the Giver of dreams first, and everything else in your life—including your spiritual dreams— will fall into its proper place and order. Oh, how I love the revelatory and supernatural ways of God! But I am not addicted to them as my sole means of supply, encouragement and life.
I thank the Lord that I have His sure Word of prophecy—the Bible—that I can turn to every day. Yes, I am so grateful for the dreams, but I do not seek for gifts; I seek the giver and Creator! When I get Him, I get everything! Spend a few moments reflecting on the significance of dreams in your life, and then lift up this prayer to the Lord.
Prayer of Desire and Wisdom
Father, I need and desire these revelatory ways in my life. I desire both the spirit of wisdom and revelation of You, Lord Jesus. Counsel me in the night with prophetic dreams. Raise up Your Josephs and Daniels for our day. Pour out Your prophetic presence on this generation and fulfill the promises of Joel for the honor of Your great name. Amen.

Prophecy: God Told Me Kennedy Would Resign, Trump Would Assign 3 Judges

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
Much of my life and ministry have been given to the convergence of prayer and the prophetic. I have seen some amazing results, but at times I have also had to steer my way through a maze of questions and riddles. Let me give you an inside look into one of the jigsaw puzzles I have been putting together for the last year or so concerning prayer, the prophetic and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
On June 27, 2018, I was awakened at 2:22 a.m. from a clear dream followed by a Word from the Lord. In the dream, Judge Anthony Kennedy's face came before me and it was revealed to me that his resignation was imminent. As I was aroused from sleep, I could feel the tangible presence of destiny filling my bedroom. The external voice of the Holy Spirit then began to speak to me. I was told that President Trump would preside over the replacement of three Supreme Court Justices.
It was obvious that the first replacement had already transpired. As we know, Judge Neil Gorsuch had replaced Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, being sworn in on April 10, 2017. That was one down, with two more yet to come according to the word I received. Amazingly, Judge Kennedy resigned later the very same day I had the dream about it, on June 27.
The details of the Holy Spirit are sometimes very exact and clear, and at other times they seem veiled. Hmmm ... I was left pondering why I woke up at 2:22 a.m. Was there some significance to that time? To me it was obviously a reference to the key of David according to Isaiah 22:22, shutting doors to the past and opening doors to the future. But in my heart I divinely knew, "It has something to do with 222 days."

Another Word in the Fall of 2017

On Oct. 4, 2017, I participated in a National Prayer phone call as part of the preparations for Awaken the Dawn, coordinated by David Bradshaw. This event was followed by Rise Up The Call led by Lou Engle and his team on Monday, Oct. 9. Each of these prayer rallies took place back to back in Washington D.C. Though I was unable to attend these consecrated times of intercession in person, I prayed fervently in my home while many of my friends convened on site. The prayer call on Oct. 4 was transcribed and posted on various ministry websites, though I only recently received a copy of it myself. Here is a portion of what was stated:
We need to pray not just for the next four to five days, but for the 40 days afterwards [that] are keenly significant. There could be a shift that happens in the Supreme Court of America within a 40-day period after this, if the Lord has the fullness of His will. I hear the Lord saying, "Watch the courts! Watch the courts!
I believe that some of you are going to move into dimensions of intercession and identification that you have never known before. You are going to be overcome by travail and by weeping. Yes, there will be great joy and there will be great celebrating, but there is going to be weeping. And you're going to have a Joel moment where you weep between the porch and the altar, and God is calling a holy consecration.
We are shifting by a power surge [of the Holy Spirit] to be awakened to the "Days of Acceleration." The winds [of change] are coming, and they will bring an awakening. Watch the courts. There will be a shift of justice in the courts. Look for a deepening of identification and intercession.

Needed Confirmation Comes

The Holy Spirit will confirm His word by the testimony of two and three witnesses (see Deut. 19:15, Matt.18:16 and 2 Cor. 13:1). Brian Hume, who served as the National Prayer Coordinator for Awaken the Dawn, was given a detailed confirming dream. In his dream, it was explained that the 40 days after the event would be the "Crowning Moment" and would be as equally important as the ATD event itself. He and others were told of the need to "sustain the momentum in the place of prayer and intercession."
One of the highlights of Rise Up The Call was the time of corporate prayer for the Supreme Court. After a period of silent petition for the ending of abortion, everyone on both the field and the stage stretched out their hands in the direction of the Court releasing a roar of intercession. A command, in accordance with the knowledge of God's will, came forth for the reforming, resigning or removing of judges in the Supreme Court.
According to Cheryl Amabile, staff writer of The Briefing for The Call, many intercessors, including Matt Lockett's Bound for Life team in Washington DC, carried these prophetic words in prayer. Nov. 17 was 40 days after the Rise Up The Call gathering on the Mall. According to The Briefing, "Though we did not see a Judge step down at that time, Matt's team did see a 'shooting star fall from the sky' on that 40th night as they prayed before the Supreme Court building. We felt it was a sign of what was coming with a judge. Then, Justice Kennedy announced his resignation 222 days after that 40th day."

Wait, What, When?

Did you notice the details? How many days after the 40th day of devoted prayer did Justice Kennedy announce his resignation? 222 days ... Hmmm ... now where did we hear about the time frame of 222 previously in this prayer and prophetic picture puzzle?
As I stated earlier, I was awakened at 2:22 AM on June 27 from a dream showing me that Justice Kennedy would resign—which he did that same day. God really does confirm His Word. But let's continue; there was more revealed to me that epic morning of June 27.
After I was awakened from the stunning dream, I was catapulted into a vision where I saw through a picture frame into a time after the first of the New Year of 2019. I was told that there would be another "tremor or shaking in the land" resulting in yet another surprise that would transpire in the Supreme Court. I then heard, "I have a Deborah waiting in the wings. This Deborah will be appointed and will tip the scales towards constitutional justice."
Speaking very candidly and transparently, I was never given the names of either Judge Brett Kavanaugh or that of Judge Amy Barrett. But other trusted voices have been given additional details that have not been revealed to me. My job is to report my part. But as we each bring our pieces to the table we can see the greater whole. We really do need each other!

A Defining Moment

The United States of America is in a defining pivotal moment. We are in a time of opening and closing generational cycles and doors. This is why the climate of spiritual warfare is so intense. We must rise above the polarizing division and remember according to Ephesian 6:12, "For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
We need the Lord to strengthen His prayer warriors with confirmation and confidence in this critical hour. We need to stand in gap before the Lord for the healing of this great land. A window is open before us right now. Will you seize the moment?

James Goll: How to Activate Your Spiritual Senses

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
When we surrender our senses to our Creator, He enhances them.
Each of us needs to become a discerner—no matter what our personal background or specific gift or function in the body of Messiah. Although some believers are especially gifted as prophets, every follower of Jesus receives the gifts of revelation and discernment. And every believer needs to use them! In fact, without discernment and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, we cannot progress in our use of any of the gifts and callings. But when we do, the sky is the limit!
As a kid growing up in a small town in Missouri, I loved watching programs on our little black-and-white television set. I would watch them for as long as I was allowed, and the picture never seemed dull, lifeless or lacking in clarity. But when we upgraded to a color TV, suddenly the programs came alive to me in a new way. We went from everything being black and white to omni-vision over night!
Early on my Christian life looked a lot like our old black-and-white television. The programming and reception were not too bad, and I thought things were going along fine. Then everything shifted unexpectedly, and I have never wanted to go back. It is actually rather exciting! Here is what happened.
For some time, I had been getting various brief mental snapshots, and I would notice for a millisecond and think, "Where did that come from? What was that?" It was as if my senses were waking up. Occasionally, I seemed to be able to look deep into a person's being and discern or know something that would never appear to my natural eye only.
I remember the first time it occurred. I met a particular church leader, and it was as if I could see diamonds glistening inside his mind, while at the same time I knew what that image meant. I thought about how we all have the mind of Messiah Jesus (see 1 Cor. 2:16), and I could tell that this man had God's spirit of wisdom to an exceptional degree. I also felt that this godly wisdom would be used to benefit both the church and secular government. Eventually as things unfolded in this man's life, it all became totally true. My knower knew and my feeler felt a measure of the destiny upon this man's life.
It was like beginning to see in color instead of in black and white. Or, to use the analogy from Hebrews 5:14, it was like growing out of being a baby who drinks only milk, and sampling solid food instead. I began to believe that God had more for me, and I started to paying more attention to the new "solid foods" He was sending my way—sampling their taste, smell, texture and appearance, and noticing how they made me feel. I compared my experiences to those of others whom I read about in the Bible or that I heard about in modern-day heroes and heroines of the faith. I wanted to know what was from God and what was from my own imagination or some other source.
Purposely Offer Your Senses
Each of us has been equipped with five natural senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. I believe there is also a sixth sense called "knowing," and as New Testament believers, that we can now have the very "mind of Christ." (There is also something called "common sense," of which I wish some of us would get more, but that is not what this teaching is about!)
The first step in beginning to discern God's communication with us entails purposely offering or presenting our senses to Him. Unless we do this—on an ongoing basis—we will not be able to grow into full maturity of Messiah Jesus. If we do not give ourselves to Him intentionally, it will be very difficult to know what He wants us to know and therefore difficult to follow Him obediently.
When we surrender our senses to our Creator, He enhances them. Divine input gets "downloaded" less sluggishly than before. As we practice connecting with Him, He increases our capacity for more. What used to seem impossible becomes achievable. More than that, it is just plain fun. Hearing from God is a perpetual source of pure joy.
Some people call this "activating your senses," and it is that. But you cannot activate your senses on your own; you must activate them by presenting them to the One who created them and activate them for His purposes, in love.
As your senses are activated, you might start receiving "snapshot visions" in your mind's eye, as I did. You might feel God's emotions of anger or compassion. A word or a phrase might come to your mind. Or you might sense or even smell that something is "off." Huh? you think. What could this mean?
The process of figuring out these communications from God consists of trial and error, just like learning to ride a bicycle. As a father, I remember helping all four of my kids learn to ride a bike, running alongside them with my hand on their back until they could stay up on their own for a few yards. They were so excited when they could finally do it, and when they fell down, I would help them back up.
Likewise, to practice using your senses to discern good and evil will involve some falls. You will not be able to get everything right every time. You might step out boldly, thinking that you are obeying God, only to lose your train of thought, make an incorrect assumption or get embarrassed. Just remember: God loves it every time you step out and practice. And practice pays off!
Even in their maturity, people who are spiritual giants and who move in a high level of anointing for healing make mistakes. They miss it, and that is okay because it keeps them humble. If they are the "real deal," they will never give up. They will keep practicing, and they will keep cooperating with the Holy Spirit, activating their senses and reaching for the next possibility.
Present Yourself to God
You can declare freedom to your own body, soul and spirit. You can speak to your sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell, saying, "Senses, become unlocked in the name of Jesus. I declare that you are no longer captive to the patterns of the past; instead, I present you to the one true and holy God for reclamation and purification."
Your physical sense of hearing will become enhanced with a spiritual sense of hearing, and you will begin to hear things from a divine dimension that you have never heard before. Your ordinary sense of sight will become enriched with a spiritual sight by which, as God directs, you will be enabled to see beyond the limits of human vision. Depending on your unique mix of God-given capabilities, your other senses will wake up and take notice of messages they could not perceive before. A whole new world will open up to you.
Prayer of a Discerning Heart
I invite you to join me in a prayer of surrender to the Holy Spirit as we expect our senses to become activated and sharpened for Jesus' sake: Here I am, Lord. All that I am and all that I hope to be, I surrender to You. I present to You my body, soul and spirit with all of their natural and supernatural senses. May they be useful to You as instruments for accomplishing Your will on earth.

5 Ways to Discern the Supernatural - JAMES GOLL CHARISMA NEWS

5 Ways to Discern the Supernatural

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
When you receive supernatural revelation, it is vital to discern—sometimes instantaneously—what to do with the revelation you receive. It is by practice that you learn to discern good and evil, and such discernment is of critical importance in the days in which we live.

Don't Be Naive

Not all revelation comes from God, and not even all of what appears to be spiritual comes from the Holy Spirit. 1 John 4:1 says, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
As this scripture makes clear, it is imperative to learn how to "test the spirits" in order to determine if they are serving God or the enemy. Do not be naive! The unseen spiritual reality around us is populated with both angels and demons, and human beings are notoriously poor at telling the difference between good spirits and bad ones.
Only naive people will believe everything that comes across their screen. Satan is always lurking just out of sight, plotting wickedness against God's people, and we must not be ignorant of his schemes (see 1 Pet. 5:8; 2 Cor. 2:11). He especially loves to deceive the very people who are trying to learn how to receive revelation from God.
Realize that you can't elude the enemy just by pretending he is not there. He is. You will find him around every corner. During your lifetime, you will be exposed to plenty of evil, but you do not have to fall for it. To stay clear, you need to discover how to discern the difference between the devil's doings, God's workings and everything in between.
I have run across some people who hold back from testing the spirits, saying, "Well, I don't want to offend the Holy Spirit." I guess they think it would bother God if they acted suspicious about something that may or may not originate from Him. That kind of reasoning does not hold water.
Just look at Scripture. False prophets are real, and God wants you to spurn them. He wants you to be alert and to test the spirits. He wants to help you do this, and your mistakes do not worry Him. He is pleased when you make the right distinctions and lean into Him for guidance and wisdom.
Other people may read the Scripture I quoted above about testing the spirits and get a little nervous about dealing with evil powers. "Test every spirit? No way do I want to risk my welfare by calling out Satan's demons. Please don't make me do that!"
To them I can only quote the words that Paul wrote to "Timid Timothy": "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control" (2 Tim. 1:7). We have not received a spirit of intimidation or bondage, but a spirit of courage, effectiveness and love.
Trust the Holy Spirit to take care of you when you confront evil. Put your trust in the God who can protect you and who will delver whoever calls on His name (Joel 2:32).

5 Discernment Basics

As you learn to discern good from evil, keep in mind these 5 basic principles:
  1. Be a God-centered person.
  2. Don't give others the power of making your decisions.
  3. There is power in speaking God's Word.
  4. There is power in forgiveness.
  5. There is power in the cross, in the name and blood of Jesus.
Learning to discern good and evil does take time, and it is a process to learn to consistently recognize that which comes from God vs. the enemy. But as we present ourselves to God, He will bring us into progressively greater cleansing. We will have less and less in common with the god of this world, and our own inner filter will become more effective.
Always remember, each one of us is supposed to learn to test the spirits; it is part of the Christian life!
Blessings to exercise discernment and follow the Holy Spirit!

God Is Speaking in Your Dreams—Do You Understand What He's Saying? - JAMES GOLL CHARISMA NEWS

God Is Speaking in Your Dreams—Do You Understand What He's Saying?

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
Did you know God uses a language that is tailor-made to speak directly to you? After all, He created you, so that shouldn't come as too big a surprise. The inventor of language is a master communicator. Not only does He reveal Himself plainly to all of mankind in Scripture, but He also speaks to us personally in dreams and visions. Do you understand what He is saying?
Dreams and visions are often the language full of emotions and therefore contain much symbolism. We must learn to take our interpretations first from Scripture and then from our own lives. Throughout Scripture God is consistent with His symbolic language. The symbolism He uses in Genesis will be similar to that found in Revelation. In fact, one of the fundamental principles of biblical interpretation is the "law of first use." This simply means that how a word or image or symbol is used in its first appearance in Scripture is a key to how it should be interpreted throughout the Bible. This consistency in symbolic language runs true in our own lives as well.

The Language of Symbols

Let me explain a little further. In the Bible, the number six often is used as a symbol for mankind. How do we know this? Refer back to the first chapter of Genesis. What happened on the sixth day of creation? Man was created. Day Six is the day of man. Now let's go to the other end of the Bible, to the Book of Revelation. There we find the reference to the number 666, which is plainly identified as "the number of a man" (Rev. 13:18). In the Greek, there is no definite article preceding the word for "man" in this verse, so it could also be translated simply as "the number of man." The number 666 represents a false Trinity, the exaltation of man—humanism being worshiped as a god. In both Genesis and Revelation, therefore, the number six is associated with mankind.
Here is another similar example. What happened on the seventh day of creation? God rested because He had finished His creative work. Therefore, the number seven is the number of rest or completion. According to the four Gospels combined, how many statements did Jesus make from the cross? Seven. The last of these was, "It is finished!" (see John 19:30). Jesus had finished His work; He had completed His mission. Now He could rest. Throughout the Bible, the number seven is symbolically associated with rest and completion.

Handling Personal Revelation

A similar principle applies when God speaks revelation to you. When He first introduces a word or a symbol or an image to you in a dream, you may not understand it in the beginning. But you will get it eventually, and that word, symbol, or image will become part of a pattern. Once it is introduced into your spiritual alphabet, it will become consistent in its meaning for you.
For example, let's say that you have a dream in which an apple appears and you discern through the Holy Spirit that it symbolizes Israel because Zechariah 2:8 refers to Israel as the "apple" of God's eye. Once the image of the apple has entered your spiritual alphabet as a symbol for Israel, you can be confident that whenever that image appears in a future dream, the dream has something to do with the nation of Israel. God is consistent with His revelatory symbolism.

Three Realms for Interpretation of Symbols

When seeking interpretation of symbolic dream and vision language, the first place you should look always is in Scripture. The Bible is full of parables and allegories from which to draw types, shadows and symbols. Here are some examples: The mustard seed as a metaphor for faith (see Matt. 13:31-32); incense representing the prayers of the saints (see Rev. 5:8; 8:3-4); seed as a symbol for the Word of God (see Luke 8:11) and candlesticks symbolizing the church (see Rev. 1:20). If your dream has the same symbolic image as one found in the Bible, chances are it has the same meaning.
After Scripture, a second place to look for interpretation of your revelatory symbols is in colloquial expressions that fill our memory bank. The Holy Spirit turns these into pictorial language. God takes these "sayings" and idioms and uses them to speak spiritual truth. One example of this is found in Judges 7:9-15 where a barley cake appears to Gideon in a dream. Since Gideon had spent much of his life as a thresher of wheat and barley, the barley cake was a symbol from his colloquial spiritual alphabet and had distinct meaning to him.
In the same way, God will speak to you with colloquial expressions that are familiar to you but might not be to someone else. If you are from the northern or northeastern part of the country, your colloquialisms will be different than those of someone from the Deep South, and God will speak to you accordingly.
The third realm for interpreting these prophetic symbols comes from our own personal revelatory alphabet. This is similar to the second realm in that the objects or symbols do not mean the same thing to you as they would to someone else. Even in the Bible, the same symbol or image sometimes means something different depending on how it is used or who receives it. These exceptions, however, do not violate the law of first use.
God often works more than one way at a time. And sometimes the symbol or image involved has more than one facet or aspect, which allows for some variations in meaning. Context determines interpretation.
The Bible uses the image of a lamb in several different ways. In Isaiah, the Messiah is presented as a Lamb led to the slaughter. John's Gospel presents Jesus as the Good Shepherd and His disciples as little lambs. The Book of Revelation reveals Jesus Christ the Lamb as a conqueror. Spiritually speaking, all three of these images are true to a lamb's nature: it is led to the slaughter, it follows its shepherd and it conquers in the end by walking in humility because the meek will inherit the earth.

Actual Versus Visual

Insights, revelations, warnings and prophecies from the Lord may come in supernatural visual dreams or in actual dreams. Visual symbolic dreams are visual revelations that do not involve as much active participation on the part of the dreamer as with an actual visitation from the Lord. The dreamer simply observes and receives the message. These visual dreams may contain more symbols, mysteries and obscurities than do other types of revelation.
Actual dreams are those in which God's tangible presence is evident in some way. To see the Lord in a dream is visual, but for the Lord to manifest Himself to you in a dream is actual. If you dream something angelic and sense that same presence when you wake up, it was more than just a visual symbolic dream. The angels were probably present. Quite often this will reveal itself in the form of a riveting awareness all over your body of a divine presence in the room. But if there was no such manifested presence when you awakened, then the dream was simply visual, although it may still contain a wonderful message from God.
A manifestation of blessing, healing, deliverance or endowment of power requires an actual visitation from the Lord in some form. Such manifestations involve an impartation of God's anointing, which will manifest in the natural realm. Therefore, an actual impartation occurs, and the person actively participates, although his or her body is asleep.

A Very Special Personal Encounter

I have vivid memories of a very special dream encounter that I refer to as "the Bread of His Presence" dream. In one of them, I was carrying loaves of bread and searching for the little mint-green blanket that belonged to our daughter Rachel. Rachel loved that blanket and for quite a few years, carried it with her just about everywhere she went. In my dream, I found Rachel's blanket and wrapped the loaves of bread in it. I held them closely to my chest and noticed that the bottom of each loaf was a little satin napkin that looked like a diaper.
This was more than a symbolic dream only because there was an actual presence in the room. I was asleep, but the Holy Spirit was very active. Even asleep I was talking out loud and prophesying. This was more than just a message I passively received. I declared, "Just as we parents learn to love, nurture, care for and cherish our newborn child, so should we as believers care for, love and cherish the bread of God's presence; then revival will come."
When I woke up, my arms were outstretched over my chest as though I were clutching those loaves of bread tightly to my chest as if they were my very own babies, wrapped in my daughter's blanket. Even as I woke, I heard myself prophesying, "When we as parents will care for, love, and nourish the bread of His presence, like a parent does his newborn child, then we will have revival." In fact, I was the one who was being revived. I loved God's presence just as I had our newborn child. Though I did not see any angels in the room upon waking, the manifested presence of God was so strong you could almost cut it with a knife. Yes, let's love the bread of His presence!
Some of our experiences are full of symbolism and others ... well, they are just flat-out in another dimension. God shows up and shows off. When that happens, how do you write it down? With as much emotive passion as possible. Yes, God Himself still comes to visit His kids. So open up your heart and receive from the God who loves to encounter you in your dreams. He is speaking your language!

James Goll: What Are the Next-Generation Prophets Saying?

JAMES GOLL  CHARISMA NEWS
In every generation, God raises up dread champions who have a "Voice that Can Be Heard"—these messengers carry a clear sound, marked by integrity and the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Revelation, favor and authentic authority rests up on their lives and words.
I remember clearly when ministering on Dec. 12, 2015, at Life Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that the Holy Spirit apprehended me and stated, "This is not your season to birth, it is your season to father." As I continued to worship He continued to speak. "You must identify, empower and release other leaders into spheres of your ministry." I knew I had just heard the Holy Spirit give my next marching orders, and instantly, I knew some of the action steps to take.
One of our clear goals must include the joining of the generations. This is when the wisdom of the older generation is joined with the resources of the middle generation, which is then coupled with the zeal of the younger generation. In other words—three generations in one generation working together. Words and phrases such as "lineage," "legacy," "heritage," "divine inheritance" and even "going for the double" are not just the latest spiritual buzzwords. They are an authentic burden from the Lord to see progressive momentum take place.
We are given a beautiful model of this in Exodus 17, when Moses stood on the hill with his hands held up by Aaron and Hur. As Moses' hands were held high, the next generation, including Joshua and Caleb, was successfully warring in the field!
With this view in mind, I have asked three prophetic leaders of the next generation to briefly describe what the Holy Spirit is sharing with them. I consider each of these anointed leaders as my sons in the faith. Each one carries a very distinct calling to equip the body of Christ to be released into different spheres of society. Let's turn our attention to hear "What Are the NextGeneration Prophets Saying?"

Matt Sorger: 'You Can Be a Carrier of His Glory!'

Matt Sorger travels the world with his wife, Stephanie, and challenges people of all ages and denominational backgrounds to be true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matt moves strongly in the prophetic and words of knowledge with signs and wonders following. Recently I turned to Matt and asked him, "What is the Holy Spirit saying today? What message are you carrying?"
Matt immediately responded with a challenge, "Is your shadow dangerous? Are you a carrier of God's manifested presence? Are you hungry for more of God, or have you grown passive and lukewarm?" Though I have known him for years, at that moment, I felt like I was sitting with a true modern-day prophet as his words pierced me. "The Holy Spirit is looking for those who will change the spiritual atmosphere around them. They have become so ruined by the glory of the Lord that they are willing pay whatever price is necessary to see long lasting change come."
Matt went on to cite multiple examples of healings and miracles happening in the nations, telling stories of God's heart for reconciliation being released. Matt closed out our short interview with a powerful declaration, "You can be a carrier of the glory of God!"

Jon Hamill: 'It's a Turnaround Season!'

Jon and Jolene Hamill live in the Washington, D.C., area and are the directors of Lamplighter Ministries. They are deeply involved in multiple aspects of the global prayer movement and are the International Directors of Prayer Storm with the mandate of restoring the Moravian Watch of the Lord. This couple carries a mantle of prophetic intercession.
Recently, the Hamills completed a 50-state tour of the United States, traveling via train and declaring, "It's a turnaround season for the body of Christ from state to state and city to city! It's time to turn the tables on the devil and time for the body of Christ to play the winning hand!" When I asked Jon what the Holy Spirit is saying, he could hardly contain himself. "It time for modern-day Paul Reveres to arise who issue the midnight cry. They carry the lantern of the light of God's Word and expose darkness through the power of prophetic decrees. It is a season of the suddenlies! It is a time when this nation enters into a renewed covenant with the nation of Israel, and we truly are Israel's best friend."
Jon and Jolene carry a revelation that the Lord's Supper is one of the highest weapons of spiritual warfare, and they personally receive Communion almost every day. "We are living in the days of Jeremiah, where we have the authority to tear down and uproot in order to rebuild and plant the ancient foundation of the Lord."

Steven Springer: His Presence and the Harvest Go Together

Steven and Renee Springer are the leaders of Global Presence International and lead a House of Prayer and a local church in Madison, Wisconsin. Coming from backgrounds in modeling and photography, the Springers carry a unique combination of experience in both the marketplace and the church. Prophetic and power evangelism have always been their message.
I asked Stephen"What message are you consumed by?" He answered, "Oh, wow! You know! It's harvest time! It's a strategic season when the manifested presence of God invades the seven cultural mountains. This is a missing key to the great harvest. There is a window of opportunity opened when the Holy Spirit ignites supernatural faith in His people to move in signs and wonders and the greater works that Jesus declared."
Undoubtedly, these two carry contagious faith and believe that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. As next-generation prophetic leaders, the Springers carry a strong conviction that "His presence is a missing key to the great harvest."

The Power of Joining of the Generations

Psalm 110:3 depicts an amazing time when youth will volunteer freely for the Lord's purposes. "Your people will follow you in the day of your battle; on the holy mountains at dawn of the morning, the dew of your youth belongs to you."  The prophet Joel also describes an unprecedented global activity of the Holy Spirit. "And it will be that, afterwards, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions" (Joel 2:28).
I am seeing with my own eyes that there is power in the joining of the generations. These three couples are wonderful examples of the reality that fruit comes forth from relationally building together.
We really are better together. With strong conviction and delight, I now join in with the shout, "My generation's ceiling really is the next generation's floor!"
