In first conversation between the two leaders in over a year, prime minister says: Terrorists kidnap innocent children, while we save lives of Palestinian children in our hospitals • Yair Lapid urges "zero tolerance toward terrorism."

For the first time in over a year, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday, demanding assistance in rescuing three Jewish teens believed to have been abducted by Hamas terrorists.

Israel is the Only Country in the Middle East where an American Flag is Not Burned

Israel is the Only Country in the Middle East where an American Flag is Not Burned

While news came that Russia was suspended from the G8, and tensions continue to rise between America & Russia, the United States Department continues to expect an apology from Israel’s Defense Minister.  Last week, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said “It isn’t a favor America is doing, it’s in their interest. They get quality intelligence and technology.” As Ya’alon rightly noted, Obama’s America has developed an image in the world of “feebleness.”
Ya’alon last earned the ire of the State Department a month ago when he said “the American security plan that was presented to us is not worth the paper it was written on. It contains neither security nor peace. Only our continued presence in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan River will guarantee that Ben Gurion Airport and (the northern city of) Netanya do not become targets for missiles from every direction.” He continued that Secretary of State John Kerry “operates based upon an unfathomable obsession and a messianic feeling.”
And while Israel’s most senior, and most popular cabinet member speaks the truth, American State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that “We still have remaining concerns about Ya’alon’s pattern of behavior,” adding, “I think we clearly expressed our displeasure by his offensive comments and an apology would be a natural next step.”
Why would the State Department ask a foreign ally to apologize for telling the truth? Barack Obama said that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu was a “political coward” whose policies pose a greater threat to Israel’s existence than Iran’s nuclear program because he does not know what is in the country’s best interests.
The Deputy Defense Minister of Israel, Danny Danon has vowed to quit the government if Palestinian terrorists are released as part of this “peace plan.” As Danon says ”the Palestinians took advantage, and not for the first time, of our desire for peace and naiveté, to trick us. They pretended to negotiate, and we released vile murderers.”  Danon said Kerry’s plan is “dangerous and detached from reality.”
As CEO of a leading PR Agency, I wonder if the State Department reads the newspapers.  Don’t they read how America’s enemies continually act against America? Why pressure Israel, America’s closest ally?
Israel is a country surrounded by Arab nations devoted to doing all they can to harm the West. When Israel’s senior most defense officials speak out they do so  in a desire to protect the only Jewish State. Terrorists have declared war on Israel – as well as America.
Israel is the only country in the Middle East where an American flag is not burned.
During times such as these, when American interests are at a low place worldwide, the Obama/Kerry team needs to simply leave Israel alone. Israel understands what Israel needs better than Barack Obama and John Kerry.

'We Don't Need Permission to Pray at Western Wall'

'We Don't Need Permission to Pray at Western Wall'

Thursday, February 20, 2014 |  Israel Today Staff
Israel's deputy foreign minister, Danny Danon, insisted earlier this week that Jews require permission from no one to pray at Jerusalem's Western Wall, the retaining wall of the Temple Mount that for centuries has been Judaism's holiest site.
At a meeting with Israeli students in Ramallah on Sunday, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas insisted the Palestinians must win control of the eastern half of Jerusalem in order to make peace, but promised to still allow Jews to enter the Old City and pray at the Western Wall.
"We do not need the permission of anyone to pray at the Kotel, certainly not from the Palestinian leadership," an incredulous Danon said later in response. "Jews have prayed, Jews pray, and Jews will pray at the Kotel forever."
In the meeting, which was set up by left-wing Israeli peace movements, Abbas also claimed he had no desire to flood Israel with millions of so-called "Palestinian refugees," even though he continues to make a Palestinian "right of return" a red-line issue in current US-brokered peace talks.

The road to Congress may run through Jerusalem, where a stop in the Israeli capital appears to be a "must do" on the campaign trail in this year's United States national elections.

World Likud chairman MK Danny Danon has recently received dozens of requests from U.S. Congressional candidates to come to Israel as part of their campaign strategy.

"Members of Congress and various candidates build their entire campaigns around support for Israel,” Danon contends. “This is a positive trend that can contribute greatly to the State of Israel.”
During their visits, Congressional members meet with Danon, take a tour of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, and in addition receive a briefing as part of an extensive tour of the so-called “West Bank” area.

"Judea and Samaria are part of Israel, and Jerusalem is the capital of Israel,” visitors are told by Danon at the start of their visit.

U.S. Representatives Joe Walsh and Allen West are both expected for visits to Israel in the near future.

GOP Congressional candidate Daniel Halloran met Monday with Danon in Jerusalem, where they discussed the status of Israel's capital city and relations between the two countries. Among other issues, Halloran expressed support for the report by Edmund Levy regarding the legal status of land and the right of Jews to build homes in Judea and Samaria. "I read the report and I support it,” said Halloran.
