‘Jesus Is Real’: Woman Shares Walmart Encounter That ‘Brought Tears’ to Her Eyes
11-24-2018
Two grandmothers experienced the love of Christ last week when a stranger at a Walmart went out of her way to bless them.
In a Facebook post published Saturday, a woman who witnessed the interaction at the Tennessee store described the moment that brought tears to her eyes:
“Yall. I don’t know this lady (with the long hair) at all,” Brittany Nichole Ramirez wrote alongside a photo taken inside of the Walmart. “I’ve never seen her in my life. But. She literally just brought tears to my eyes.”
Ramirez went on to explain that the two older women in the picture were trying to put some gifts for their grandchildren on layaway for Christmas, but they “didn’t have enough money to cover the layaway price … and their medicine they need.”
The women, whom Ramirez described as sisters, told the cashier not to worry about the presents, saying that they would come back when they didn’t have to buy their medicine.
But then something incredible happened: A younger woman “walked up to the cashier and offered to pay their stuff in full so they can have Christmas for their grandchildren.”

The kind and unexpected gesture brought tears to the elderly women’s eyes, but what happened next was even more touching.
When the sisters told the woman they didn’t know how they would repay her, she simply “put her arms around them, and said… ‘You don’t owe me anything. I’m just trying to live a life that shows people Jesus is alive, and He is real.’”
Ramirez, who was standing close enough to snap a discrete photo, was absolutely stunned.
“Yall. I am so thankful I got to witness this,” she wrote.

What Happened When Mike Pence's Daughter Considered Being an Atheist

The daughter of Vice President Mike Pence has opened up about her personal faith journey and admitted she went through seasons of profound doubt. Charlotte Pence, 25, released her new book, Where You Go: Life Lessons From My Father this week, in which she details many of the words of wisdom bestowed upon her by her politician father.
It was during a year abroad studying in Oxford back in 2015 that Pence found her faith in God dwindling. In an interview with The Christian Post, Pence admitted that she "turned away from God" and had "not wanted anything to do with religion" at the time.
"I was interested in atheism for a while," she admitted, before qualifying that she "wasn't as interested in Christianity," but that she felt like God was pursuing her the whole time. Writing about this time in her new book, Pence said she "stopped going to church and reading [her] Bible," and instead chose to spend "much of the year" delving into atheist philosophy.

Archaeologists Claim to Discover Evidence for Biblical Account of Exodus Near Jordan River - CBN News Will Maule, Faithwire

Archaeologists Claim to Discover Evidence for Biblical Account
of Exodus Near Jordan River
09-29-2018
A team of archaeologists has discovered evidence which they believe backs up the biblical account of
Moses leading the Israelites out of Egyptian slavery and into the promised land of Canaan.

End Times Prophesies, Mormons, Muslims and Secret Handshakes: The Wild Conspiracy Keeping
Pastor Brunson From Returning Home

Despite a long-running debate over the historical accuracy of the story, found in the book of Exodus,
archaeologists Ralph K. Hawkins and David Ben-Shlomo have said that there is clear evidence of ruins
Ben-Shlomo told The Express. “If they are, this might fit the biblical story of the Israelites coming
from east of the Jordan River, then crossing the Jordan and entering into the hill country of Israel later.”

The archaeologists further noted that they were planning to excavate nearby Uja el-Foqa to figure out
whether it may have also be linked to an Israelite settlement in the region.

The story of Moses and the exodus of the Israelites is one of the most well-known in the Bible,
particularly as it features the parting of the Red Sea.

Exodus 14: 21-22 reads:

“Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all
night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 And the people of Israel went into
the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”

Several other stunning discoveries have been made in the region over recent years. In 2013, at Khirbet
el-Mastarah in the Jordan Valley, Hawkins and Ben-Shlomo unearthed stone ruins and pottery
fragments thought to be from the Late Bronze Age (1400–1200 B.C.) or the Iron Age (1200–1000).

By the end of our 2017 season, we were struck by the fascinating picture that had begun to emerge in
the Jordan Valley, a region that up until recently has been virtually unknown archaeologically,” the
pair told the Biblical Archaeology Society. “Within a range of just a couple of miles, we may be able
to see the evolution of early Israel from a domestic-scale culture [at Khirbet el-Mastarah] to a political
-scale culture [at Khirbet ‘Auja el-Foqa].”

Famed Life-Long Atheist Baptized at 85 Years Old: ‘This Took Too Long’
09-30-2018
In response to the “gnawing pain in my heart and soul about the meaning of life,” Australia’s former
governor-general, Bill Hayden, a life-long atheist, was recently baptized at the age of 85.

After living a great deal of his life in denial of the Creator, the former politician renounced his atheism
and joined the Catholic Church. He said witnessing so many selfless acts of compassion by Christians
over his lifetime — as well as a season of reflection following a stroke — inspired his decision.

According to The Catholic Leader, Hayden was baptized at St. Mary’s Church in Ipswich, near
Brisbane, on Sept. 9. He said at the time, “This took too long, and now I am going to be devoted. From
this day forward, I’m going to vouch for God.”

Hayden told The Australian he “always regarded” himself as a “fellow traveler with Catholicism,”
even declaring he was Catholic on official forms, though he never made a public commitment to the
faith.

“I would go to Mass every Sunday and then go to benediction when I was a teenager,” he said. “I didn’t
know that I wasn’t officially a Catholic, and found that out only later, when my sister did the family
history.”

Ultimately, after his stroke in 2014, the former governor-general said he discovered “more to life than
just me.” He continued, “I had to make a dedication of myself for the good of others, before God. I felt
that strongly.”

The Catholic priest who baptized Hayden, Father Peter Dillon, said the well-known lawmaker had a
change of heart several months ago. “It was a big thing for him … an act of submission to the fact that there was no denying for him that
God is real and he had come to discover that,” the priest explained.

Hayden noted he was prompted to finally turn to God after a hospital visit from Sister of Mercy Angela
Mary Doyle, a 93-year-old nun famous for her work with the poor. Hayden said he “always felt
embraced and loved by her Christian example.”

“Dallas [his wife], our daughter Ingrid and I recently visited Sister Angela Mary in the Mater Hospital
where she was a patient,” he recalled. “The next morning I woke with the strong sense that I had been
in the presence of a holy woman. So after dwelling on these things I found my way back to the core of
those beliefs — the Church.”

Why This Wildly Famous Commentator Refuses to Relent Against 'An Act of Great Moral Evil' - BILLY HALLOWELL/FAITHWIRE

Why This Wildly Famous Commentator Refuses to Relent Against 'An Act of Great Moral Evil'

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro shows no fear when he tackles some of the most controversial issues of the day. Abortion is just one of the topics he frequently addresses with passionate fervor; it's an issue that he firmly believes is "the great moral issue of our time" and one for which history will ultimately judge our society.
"There are very few issues where you can confidently look forward 100 years and say people are going to look back at us and say we're barbarians — people are going to look back at us and say that we're engaged in an act of great moral evil," he said.
He said that people are "capable of great evil" when they don't think about what they're engaged in. As time progresses, he believes abortion will be an issue that will eventually be seen for what it is, as science will further change the dynamics at hand.

"As science develops, as we are able to get better pictures inside the womb, as we realize the innate value of every human life that that springs from conception, it's going to be harder and harder to defend this stuff," he said. "And I think frankly it's obvious right now."
Listen to Shapiro reveal why he's so passionate about fighting abortion:
Shapiro said there's a great deal of willful denial that comes along with the abortion debate.
"I think you have to be willfully blind to take seriously the Democratic position that you should be able to murder a baby up to the point that it exits the birth canal," he said.
Shapiro said he can't believe that abortion is still defended by so many, calling it "beyond ... evil" and "crazy." Unfortunately, he said there are a lot of people today who simply don't want to see the realities at hand.
"I think there are a lot of people who have bought into the idea that it's a some sort of imposition on a woman's body to talk about the person growing inside her," he said. "And anytime you make a moral argument it's inconvenient."
As Pure Flix Insider previously reported, some pro-life activists have seen success in changing people's minds on abortion. During a recent episode of PureFlix.com's "Pure Talk," Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, explained her experience.
"People are living in the lie today ... the good news is, the truth sets people true," Rose said. "That is the way that we've seen people change—when they actually know what's happening through the story. They know what abortion actually is."

Archaeologists Believe They Found the Site of Jesus' First Recorded Miracle - TRE GOINS-PHILLIPS/FAITHWIRE

(jplenio/Pixabay)
Archaeologists have, for hundreds of years, believed they knew exactly where Jesus performed his first recorded miracle—turning water into wine—but new discoveries are now calling the location into question.
According to John 2, Jesus performed the miracle during a wedding at Cana. When the wine ran out during the celebration, the son of God transformed the water into wine in what is believed to be, according to the biblical account, his first miracle.
Archaeologists are, based on new research, now confident the real site of the miracle—in Cana—is actually on a hillside five miles farther north of the previously understood location in Israel, The Daily Mail reported

Franklin Graham's Bus Ads Removed After Massive Uproar - CBN News Will Maule, Faithwire

Franklin Graham's Bus Ads Removed After Massive Uproar

Rev. Franklin Graham, the son of the late evangelist Billy Graham, has come up against some fierce
opposition as he attempts to organize a gospel crusade in the northern British town of Blackpool.

As a result of increasing pressure from LGBT groups, the local governing authorities have decided
to remove promotions for the event, which were placed on the side of the town's buses.

"Blackpool Transport has recently been made aware of an advertisement in place on the side of some
of our double-decker buses," said a spokesperson for the company, according to the Blackpool Gazette.
"In light of customer feedback and reactions on social media which has resulted in heightened tension,
we have taken the decision to remove all adverts relating to the 'Time for Hope' Festival with
immediate effect. We will reimburse any income back to the advertising company."

Franklin Graham: 'Our Nation is in Trouble'

"We work with multiple advertisers and third-parties and in no way do we endorse or support any
advertisement which is placed on our vehicles," the agency added.

Franklin Graham's Lancashire Festival of Hope is due to take place at the Winter Gardens Blackpool
on Sept. 21-23.

Blackpool is regularly described as one of the worst towns in Britain and boasts the lowest life
expectancy anywhere in England. It is known for its grimy "drag" clubs, spiraling substance
dependency and "loan shark" payday lenders who do nothing but plunge the town into an
ever-deepening chasm of financial hardship.

According to the Guardian:

"More than half of the local population smokes, the highest rate in the country. One in three pregnant
women, even up to the point they go into hospital to give birth, are still smoking. Alcoholism is rife,
while deaths from drug abuse rival those of the worst estates in London or Glasgow."

It is certainly a place that needs the life-giving message of the Gospel. But due to the unprecedented
action from authorities, this may not come in the form of a Franklin Graham outreach event.

Jane Cole, managing director at Blackpool Transport, further explained the controversial decision to
remove the ads.

"Blackpool Transport is a proud ongoing supporter of the Pride and LGBT+ communities and in no
way did we intend to cause any distress or upset," she said. "All buses carrying the advert will remain
off the road until they have been removed."

Graham, who affirms a traditional biblical view of marriage as being between one man and one woman, responded to the controversy in an interview with British faith news outlet Premier UK.

"I'm not coming to preach hate, I'm here to preach about a savior, Jesus Christ who can make a
difference in our lives if we put our faith and trust in Him," Graham stated. "We're not here to preach
against anyone, we're here to talk about God."

The reverend added that his father, Billy Graham, also came up against some staunch opposition when
traveling to preach in the United Kingdom.

"They tried to stop him coming," he recalled. "He was due off a boat into Southampton and there were
petitions to stop him coming and members of parliament speaking against him."

Graham noted that even Jesus himself "offended many people," before noting that the Gospel "still
offends people today."
