Thousands of Christian Pilgrims Stand with Israel 'Because the Bible Says So' - CBN News Chris Mitchell, Julie Stahl

Thousands of Christian Pilgrims Stand with Israel 'Because the Bible Says So'

Oct. 9, 2017 CBN News Chris Mitchell, Julie Stahl
JERUSALEM, Israel – At a time of rising anti-Semitism, thousands of Christians are in Jerusalem to celebrate the biblical Feast of Tabernacles and stand with Israel.
They came from the ends of the earth for the six-day celebration, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), answering an ancient invitation.
"It's the invitation of Zechariah the prophet, in chapter 14, verse 16 of the Book of Zechariah, he envisions a time when all the nations will come up, celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, worship the Lord here and we're like forerunners. It's a dress rehearsal," ICEJ Vice President David Parsons told CBN News.
More than 5,000 Christians from nearly 100 nations came for the opening night to proudly stand with Israel and celebrate the biblical feast.
"In the end of the day it's God's faithfulness that has established for almost 40 years now this international gathering of the body of Christ in a unique way that you can't find anywhere else," Parsons said.
The organization started in 1980 after 13 countries moved their embassies from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv protesting Israel's declaration of the united city as its eternal capital.
Israel's victory in the 1967 Six-Day War made that possible by uniting Jerusalem so this is a special year for the feast.
"What's really exciting, it's the jubilee year for Jerusalem. We're marking 50 years since the city of Jerusalem was reunited back under Jewish sovereignty," Parsons said.

More than half of those celebrating are first-timers.

"We're part of a 26-strong Cook Island delegation and we're here to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and we're about to be registered as a nation with ICEJ for the first time ever, so it's wonderful to be here just with the nations in the presence of God and worshipping together," Paul Lynch said.
"It's in the Bible, it's quite clear. Those who bless Israel will be blessed. They're God's chosen country and our government is making a pledge to support Israel," he said.
"Early on this year God asked me to come to represent the nation of Samoa," said Cruise Westerland.  "So I brought a team of 20 people. So we're here happily from the ends of the earth, just two hours flight from Fiji."
We asked some pilgrims why they stand so strong with Israel.
"Because the Bible says so," said Westerland.
"It's the biggest proof that God is alive," a young man named Bjorgfinnur from the Faroe Islands said. "You have the Jews coming back. You have the land flourishing."
"I think Israel is such an important country in the view of the Bible. So I think every single Christian on the planet should support Israel," said Veronica, a young woman from Finland said.
"Israel has given to many nations. It's been a blessing to a lot of nations all over the world and it's time to pay back," Dr. Rotimi Olokodana from Nigeria said.
Alina from Washington State said, "Jews are the God's chosen nation, and, I mean, you don't want to go against God.  That's all I can say."

Thousands of Christians Celebrate Biblical Feast in Jerusalem
 CBN News Oct. 6, 2017
JERUSALEM, Israel – Thousands of Christians from around the world are in Jerusalem to participate in the annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ).
The Christian celebration coincides with the biblical feast of Sukkot, described in the book of Leviticus and based on a passage from Zechariah 14:16 that says all the nations will one day go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord during the Feast of Tabernacles.
"We are expecting one of our biggest crowds ever at this year's Feast," said ICEJ President Dr. Jürgen Bühler.
"Thousands of Christians are once again being drawn here from all over the world by the dynamic worship experience that surrounds this unique biblical festival," he said.
This is the 38th annual ICEJ Feast celebration. Some 6,000 Christians from nearly 100 nations are expected to attend. It's the largest solidarity mission to Israel this year and it's expected to have an $18-$20 million economic impact on Israel.
But according to Bühler, this year also holds an "added attraction of celebrating the fifty-year Jubilee of a reunited Jerusalem."
"This means we are truly in for a banner Feast," Bühler said in a statement.
Israel is marking the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Six-Day War, this year.  That's when it reunited Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty for the first time in thousands of years.
The ICEJ has a special connection to Jerusalem. It was founded in 1980 after 13 national embassies left Jerusalem for Tel Aviv in protest of the Knesset's "Jerusalem Law," which enshrined a united Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
In response to the embassies' exodus, more than 1,000 Christians from 40 nations attended the ICEJ Feast in Jerusalem as an act of comfort and solidarity with the 3000-year-old Jewish claim to the city.
"Given that the issue of Jerusalem has once again come to the fore, this year's Feast is also dedicated to reaffirming Christian support for a united Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty," a statement from ICEJ said.

SPECIAL FEAST OFFERING

The Lord commanded the people of Israel to bring their offerings to Jerusalem during the Feast of Tabernacles (Deut. 16). Therefore, many pilgrims bring a special offering from their church or family to the Feast. While we can support Israel anytime throughout the year, this is a special opportunity to prophetically join all the nations gathered in Jerusalem and make a special offering before the Lord.

LoveMusic! Paul Wilbur - Who Can Compare (Lyrics, Your Great Name album)

Who Can Compare
Paul Wilbur

Oct. 6, 2017

Greetings LoveMusic! friends,

Succot! Feast of Tabernacles! Time to celebrate!

When I think of all the Messianic music artists, there is none more known than Paul Wilbur. If you are at all familiar with Messianic praise and worship music, then you know Paul Wilbur. I know the rest of the world does too!

From the times he has led the Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Jerusalem with ICEJ (International Christan Embassy Jerusalem) and did live Integrity Music recordings for Hosanna!Music; to his ministry trips to South America, leading the Hispanics in Spanish worship songs; to those gatherings even in Concord, North Carolina (just outside Charlotte), where I had the joy of hearing him a few years ago - Paul Wilbur has taken the Hebrew/English/Spanish songs of the Lord to the nations!

With his Jewish background, his faith in Yeshua HaMashiach, and his zeal to praise the Living God of Israel with all his might, he has done so with such skill, inspiration, and much encouragement, both through having a tremendous voice and playing his acoustic guitar. Paul has been a real treasure and strength to the Body of Messiah, the One New Man.

I have all his recording. Because of them my good wife Laurie and I have led worship many times in church with them.

We all bless you Paul Wilbur, and give much, much thanks for your gifts and leadership!

Be blessed as you too ADORE the Living God of Israel, with this song "Who Can Compare".

NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO YESHUA (JESUS)!!!

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

Massive Western Wall Sukkah Welcomes Pilgrims to Jerusalem - Tsivya Fox BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Massive Western Wall Sukkah Welcomes Pilgrims to Jerusalem

“Say to B’nei Yisrael: On the fifteenth day of this seventh month there shall be the festival of Sukkot to Hashem, [to last] seven days.” Leviticus 23:34 (The Israel Bible™)
“The most popular place to visit during Sukkot is the Kotel, the Western Wall,” explained Rabbi Mendy Blau, director of Colel Chabadone of Israel’s leading charity organizations, to Breaking Israel News. “Part of the reason is that the Bible commands Jews to make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem a minimum of three times a year, for Passover, for Shavuot and for Sukkot.”
Sukkot is Israel’s busiest season for Jewish and Christian tourism. Not only is this one of the holiest and happiest times of the year, but the country also holds a multitude of cultural and religious festivities. All this leads to a plethora of visitors to the Kotel.
