The Syrian army responded Thursday morning Sept. 7, 2017, to the air strike the previous night on a Syrian military site in western Syria. The Syrian army claimed that Israeli warplanes fired several rockets from the Lebanese airspace at 2:42 a.m. on Thursday targeting one of the Syrian military posts near Masyaf, killing two army personnel and causing material damage to the site. "The attack proves Israel's direct support for ISIS and additional terror organizations," the army claimed. In addition, it threatened that "The aggressive Israeli attack could have dangerous consequences on stability and security in the region." Later Thursday, Executive Director of Tel Aviv University's Institute for National Security Studies Amos Yadlin noted that the strike was "not routine."

"It targeted a Syrian military-scientific center for the development and manufacture of, among other things, precision missiles, which will have a significant role in the next round of conflict." The factory that was targeted in Masyaf produces the chemical weapons and barrel bombs that have killed thousands of Syrian civilians," he continued. "If the attack was conducted by Israel, it would be a commendable and moral action by Israel against the slaughter in Syria."Yadlin emphasized that "The attack sent three important messages. First, Israel won't allow for empowerment and production of strategic arms. Second, Israel intends to enforce its redlines, despite the fact that the great powers are ignoring them. Third, the presence of Russian air defense does not prevent airstrikes attributed to Israel. Now it's important to keep the escalation in check and to prepare for a Syrian-Iranian-Hezbollah response, and even opposition from Russia," he said.

Pray according to scripture regarding the many dangerous foes that threaten Israel's northern borders: "The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven" (Deut. 28:7).

Sign of the Last Days? Largest Aliyah Flight From Europe Lands in Israel

The largest Aliyah flight from France and anywhere in Europe has landed in Israel on 10 July 2017.

Two hundred immigrants were aboard the flight, including 74 children and teenagers under the age of 18, reports Israel International News. The French Jewish community is the largest in Europe and the second-largest in the world outside of Israel, numbering nearly half a million Jews.

French Jewish immigration to Israel has surged since the year 2012. 2014 marked the first time in Israel's history that over one percent of a Western Jewish community made Aliyah in a single year, an achievement repeated in 2015 with the arrival of some 7,800 immigrants from France—the most ever. Over 10 percent of the French Jewish community has immigrated to Israel since the year 2000, half in the past five years alone.

Does Israel Need to Prepare for Another War With Hamas This Summer?

Israel Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Gallant on Sunday morning, April 16, 2017, said there will be no choice other than to enter another war with Hamas.

He warned Israelis to prepare for such a conflict during the coming summer. Why does the Hamas terrorist organization, which rules the Gaza Strip, keep engaging Israel in hopeless wars every few years?

Part of the answer perhaps lies in the word hudna. It is an Arabic expression often translated as "cease-fire", which has little to do with establishing peace with one's neighbor. Historically it was a strategy which allowed the party declaring the hudna to regroup and rearm, while the enemy was off guard.

The term comes from the story of the Muslim conquest of Mecca. Unable to carry off an immediate victory, Muhammad made a 10-year treaty with the Kuraysh tribe. In A.D. 628, after only two years of the "10-year treaty," Muhammad and his forces reasoned the Kuraysh were too weak to resist. The Muslims broke the truce and took over all of Mecca without opposition.

According to Umdat as-Salik, a medieval summary of Shafi'i jurisprudence: "If Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for ten years if necessary, for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) made a truce with the Kuraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud." ('Umdat as-Salik, o9.16).

The condition for Muslims making a truce with its enemy is weakness. Hamas is weak and always looking for ways to regroup and once again become strong to the detriment of Israel.

Terrorist leaders reigning in Gaza admittedly are not looking for peace with the Jewish state—rather, to destroy it. Even an extended "cease-fire" means only time enough to dig new terrorist tunnels and build up the arsenals against Israel—all in preparation to again shoot themselves in the foot and stumble around for the next half-decade.

With anti-Semitic attacks in the United States on the rise, a prominent Israeli politician said this week he thought American Jews could flood into Israel.

Isaac Herzog, leader of the opposition party, urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to create an emergency plan to welcome large numbers of immigrants amid such instances in the USA and France.

"I wish to express my shock and condemnation of the outbreak of anti-Semitic incidents in the United States, France and other places around the world," Herzog said during a party meeting. "I call on the government to urgently prepare and establish and emergency national program for the possibility that we will see waves of our Jewish brothers immigrating to Israel."

There have been frequent anti-Semitic incidents following the election of President Donald Trump.

Consider just the past few days: Multiple Jewish Community Centers and schools received bomb threats while numerous headstones were damaged at Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia.

"I am sure that the USA government will do all it can to put an end to this phenomenon," Herzog said of the anti-Semitic incidents, according to the International Business Times.

"Now, I will send for many fishermen, says the Lord, and they shall fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and out of the holes of the rocks" (Jer. 16:16).
