Christian Music Artist Lauren Daigle took Ellen DeGeneres and her audience to church
with a powerful performance that aired Wednesday.
Daigle announced on Facebook Tuesday that she would be appearing and performing
on "The Ellen Show" singing her song "Still Rolling Stones" from her latest album,
Look Up Child.
An official video of her performance on the show was released online ahead of
Wednesday's episode.
In the chorus she sings,
"All at once I came alive
This beating heart, these open eyes
 The grave let go
 The darkness should have known
 You're still rolling stones."
In response to Daigle's performance, Ellen gave everyone in the audience a copy of
Look Up Child.
Daigle's appearance on Ellen is just the latest in a series of breakthroughs for not only
the singer herself but also Christian music in Hollywood.
Look Up Child, took first place on the Top Christian Albums chart shortly after its release
in September.

The singer also placed third in the all-genre Billboard 200 category, ranking well ahead
of the world's top rappers and pop stars like Drake, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj.
Daigle's appearance on Ellen quickly drew controversy as some followers to her
Facebook page expressed disapproval.
While some criticized Daigle for agreeing to go on a show with an openly-gay host,
others recognized her appearance as a chance to share the gospel like never before.
One wrote, "This is huge for Christians everywhere! We are going into the world and
preaching the Gospel! You are living testimony of what Jesus says to do and I am
thrilled."
It's not the first time a worship song has been performed on "The Ellen Show," or even
the first time a Christian artist was invited to sing on the show.
Last year, gospel singer Kim Burrell was scheduled to appear – but her performance
was canceled after the singer/pastor criticized homosexuality.
DeGeneres said at the time, "She was doing a Facebook Live, and she said some very
not nice things about homosexuals. So, I did not feel that it was good of me to have her
on the show and give her a platform after she is saying things about me."
Daigle's appearance may have broken barriers and proves that faith, God, and worship
still are able to have a place in Hollywood.
Her first album titled How Can It Be went platinum after its 2015 release.

Chick-fil-A has done it again.

The Christian-based quick-service restaurant chain, known for their excellent customer service,
opened their doors to emergency responders in North Carolina – and get this: on a Sunday.

According to a social media post, the Chick-fil-A location in Triangle Town Center in Raleigh opened
Sunday to feed emergency personnel helping with recovery efforts for Hurricane Florence.

The restaurant gave away 500 sandwiches and 1200 nugget orders to rescue teams from five different
states.

The latest act of kindness was posted on social media with one woman thanking the owners, and it's
quickly making the rounds as many are praising the restaurant chain for living up to its reputation.

The post reads, "You two are so humble and never seek recognition but the Bible states we should give
honor where honor is due. The devil tried to stop you all one way but God made a way anyway. Your
service today was a blessing for various rescue teams from 5 different states."

"Thank you all again for being selfless and having a servants heart. You all are blessed because you are
a blessing to so many! Love you both for life and may God continue to provide all you need and
desire! All Glory Goes To God!! Thank you for your obedience to the call!"

The restaurant, in turn, also posted to Facebook thanking their employees for showing up to work on a
day they normally have off.

They wrote, "Grateful for an AWESOME team that not only have hearts for serving our guests every
day but have hearts for serving the community as well!"

The company also sent a statement to Fox News saying, "While Chick-fil-A restaurants are always
closed for business on Sunday, some local restaurant teams volunteer to serve their communities in
times of crisis."

Alabama Putting God Back in Schools with Ten Commandments, 'In God We Trust' Displays - CBN News Kayla Root

Alabama Putting God Back in Schools with Ten Commandments, 'In God We Trust' Displays

Alabama public schools are hoping to bring God back into their schools by displaying the US motto
"In God We Trust" on school buildings.

In February, the Alabama legislature approved a new law allowing such displays on public property,
and now is giving schools the right to exhibit the motto as well.

The national motto, approved by Congress in 1956, is already displayed in 17 public venues in
Alabama, and the Blount County school board plans to be the first to implement the motto in its
schools.

Officials say the legislation is not a mandate, like what was approved by Tennessee lawmakers this
spring requiring the motto to be on display inside all public schools.

Republican state Rep. David Standridge, who sponsored the original legislation that took effect July 1,
seemed like a better approach to make it permissive rather than a mandate.

Superintendent Rodney Green said the board is working on a policy on the issue that could be drafted
within the next month.

"We're a diverse society and state and I just thought the local entities needed input," Standridge said.
"They are kind of wanting to be the model, if you will, for any system that wants to go down this path."
AL.com reports Alabama voters will also decide in November whether the state's 117-year-old
constitution should be changed to allow public schools to display the Ten Commandments.

"My hope is they have the Ten Commandments in the schools all over the state of Alabama as well as
the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the historical documents that go with this
country," said Dean Young, chairman of the Ten Commandments Political Action Committee. "That
way, children will be able to see and ask, 'What are these documents' and a teacher can say, 'Those are
the Ten Commandments and they come from God and this is what they say.'"

Other states have failed in their efforts to display the Ten Commandments. A Pennsylvania high school
had to remove a 6-foot Ten Commandments monument last year after the Freedom From Religion
Foundation filed a federal lawsuit.

Young said several Christian legal groups are prepared for a legal battle with any schools that are sued
over the issue.

Arkansas, Minnesota, Florida and Tennessee are other states that have similar laws regarding "In God
We Trust" displays.

Chinese Christians: 'There Is No Freedom at All' - KAYLA ROOT/CBN NEWS

Chinese Christians: 'There Is No Freedom at All'

A massive new wave of persecution of Christians has been taking place in China.
In the spring, China's president Xi Jinping introduced a five-year plan to "sincize" all the nation's religions by infusing them with "Chinese characteristics" such as loyalty to the Communist Party.
Over the last several months, the government has taken steps toward this measure by shutting down hundreds of private Christian "house churches" and seizing Bibles.
The unregistered Protestant house churches that sprung up independent of the official Christian Council, were largely tolerated at one point but have since become a target.
"Chinese leaders have always been suspicious of the political challenge or threat that Christianity poses to the Communist regime," said Xi Lian, a scholar of Christianity in China at Duke University. "Under Xi, this fear of Western infiltration has intensified and gained a prominence that we haven't seen for a long time."
Some Christians have lost their jobs, been evicted from their homes or even jailed for their faith.
In March, a prominent Chinese house church leader was sentenced to seven years in prison after he built Christian schools in Myanmar.
ChinaAid reports that last month, half a dozen Christians were sentenced to up to 13 years in jail for involvement in a so-called "cult."
ChinaAid says because of this crackdown, several dozen pastors and their families have fled to the United States in recent years.

Retired firefighter Mark Taylor will get to see the true story of his prophecy about Donald Trump
unfold on the big screen later this year when "The Trump Prophecy" hits theatres.
The film will highlight the night Taylor says God spoke to him, revealing that Donald Trump
would one day become president.

Trump's Radical Heart Change: A Presidential Legacy of Faith and Prayer

He says it was 2 a.m. in April 2011 when he saw Donald Trump on TV and heard the voice of God.

"I didn't know a lot about Donald, I just knew that he was a very powerful businessman, built this
empire, and he was toying with the idea of running for president at the time," he told CBN News.
"Most people thought it was a joke so I'm listening to him on an interview and all of the sudden
I hear the voice of the Lord say, 'You're hearing the voice of a president.'"

Taylor writes about the powerful moment in his book which details how everything God told him
is now coming true.

Taylor told CBN News that Trump's presidency was vital in stopping an anti-Christian agenda
that was taking hold of America.

"The enemy's timeline has been denied by the Most-High God and it's through Donald Trump
a lot of this is being denied right now," Taylor said. "And what God is saying right now is, 'No,
it's not time right now' because there are many things that God wants to accomplish on the
earth right now."

Now, ReelWorks Studios producer Rick Eldridge, along with Liberty University's Executive
Director of the Cinematic Arts program, Stephan Schultze, are turning his story into a feature film.

Liberty's Cinematic Arts department announced their partnership in January, recruiting more
than 50 students to join in on the project.

Schultze said in a statement that "the experience provided to students through this project
is invaluable."

"Our students were very appreciative of the opportunity to work on a feature film while in
school," Schultze said. "They know the training they are getting through this experience gives
them the preparation necessary to be successful when they enter the work place."

Eldridge told the school that he wants the film to be about "a God and country message that
we can understand."

"The best thing I can take away is when people leave the theater they are really feeling proud
about their country and the things God has blessed us with," he continued.

The film's website says it also concludes by asking a panel of world leaders to respond to a
few questions like: "What does it mean to 'make America great again'?"

The film will be shown in over 1,000 theatres on October 2 and 4. You can find out where it's

'On My Way to Heaven': Dennis Quaid Wrote This Heart-Warming Christian Song After 'I Can Only Imagine'

CBN News Kayla Root

It's been a big week for actor Dennis Quaid. The "I Can Only Imagine" star celebrated the premiere of the powerful faith-based film and also released a Christian song he wrote and sang for the movie's soundtrack.
Quaid, who told CBN News he had never heard the hit-song by MercyMe's Bart Millard before accepting the role, said he read the script to the movie before listening to it and it had a lasting impact on him.
"It hit me so profoundly, in the heart, in a place where I just don't even have words," Quaid said.
His own song, "On My Way to Heaven," was written as a tribute to his mother for her 91st birthday. In a video, Quaid says he promised his mom that one day he would write a gospel song.
Quaid said, "I wrote it for my mom because my mom has always been there, her faith is unquestionable, so solid. So I wrote it for her, but I guess it's my story."
Quaid said he and his brother were baptized as kids, but he didn't really start searching for God and reading his Bible until his 20's.
The actor said he started writing the song years ago, but never played it in public and never finished it until playing his role of Bart's father in the movie.
At a surprise appearance at a MercyMe concert last month, Quaid and Millard recounted to the audience the moment Quaid first told Millard about his song.
Millard said, "He called me at like eight in the morning while I was watching them film and he said, 'Hey man I've got this song that I wrote for my mom and the movie inspired me to finish it, and I want you to hear it.'"
He continued, "So I'm in there in his trailer just me and him and he's about to play me this song and I'm thinking, 'Please God let this be good....and thank you, Jesus, it was.'"
Millard said when Quaid showed up at his concert he just couldn't resist asking him to play it for the first time.
After his performance, Quaid told the audience that Millard taught him a lot and said: "he opened up a whole new world for me."
Some of the lyrics to his song read:
"My life may not be roses, but still I'm gonna be alright
As long as I've got my Savior by my side.
He freed me from the heavy chains that had bound my broken heart
He picked me up, gave me a brand new start.
Now I'm on my way to Heaven, on my way to heaven.
I'm on my way to Heaven, so I can't be staying long."
