Millionaire Producer: God Told Me to Rebuild Ten Commandments Monument - TAYLOR BERGLUND CHARISMA NEWS

Millionaire Producer: God Told Me to Rebuild Ten Commandments Monument

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

God's Not Dead executive producer Troy Duhon says God led him to donate money to rebuild Arkansas' destroyed Ten Commandments monument.
Arkansas' new Ten Commandments statue, located on public land but paid for with private funds, was demolished just one day after its installation. The culprit, Michael Tate Reed, professed to be a Christian and posted a video of his vandalism to Facebook.
"The first day it gets put up, a gentleman decides he's going to run it over," Duhon said. "I was on the bus, headed to Creation Music fest, and I felt God say, 'Will you help me?'"
Duhon and fellow executive producer Bob Katz called the governor's office and donated $25,000 to efforts to rebuild the monument. One week later, Duhon and Katz flew to Little Rock, Arkansas, for the formal presentation of the check. Michael Berry, deputy general counsel and director of military affairs for First Liberty, was also present. A skilled debater for religious freedom, Berry fielded several press questions at the event regarding separation of church and state.
Duhon says not to mistake this as the end of the battle, though. The ACLU will likely file suit, and the case will live on. But Duhon says Arkansas' willingness to "take the fight on" is exciting.
"From a private citizen's perspective and being a Christian, I was so impressed with what the state of Arkansas is doing," Duhon said. "Instead of relinquishing their rights, they are fighting to put rights back into the state capitol, back into schools."
God's Not Dead 2 was filmed in Little Rock. It was the first of many great experiences for Duhon in the state.
"God is doing something special in the state of Arkansas," Duhon said. "I think the rest of the country is going to open their eyes and realize, especially if they prevail, that God is doing something."
Duhon believes that this Arkansas monument battle is symbolic of a much larger battle for Christians nationwide.
"My oldest son said, 'Why is this relevant?'" Duhon said. "I said, 'Son, tell me what America would look like if Americans operated under the Ten Commandments. When you look at the crime rate, the divorce rate, the incarceration rate and the murder rate, what would America be if we honored the Ten Commandments?'
"I think it's something as Christians we need to fight for. We need to fight for our rights. My hat's off to State Senator Jason Rapert because for a senator to take this fight on, coming under the scrutiny he's been under, and not be afraid—we as a Christian community need to support him and endorse him."

Is This How the Mark of the Beast Will Sneak In? - TAYLOR BERGLUND CHARISMA NEWS

Is This How the Mark of the Beast Will Sneak In?

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

A Swedish company offers employees a small, rice-grain-sized implant that can mimic the function of swipe cards. These chips, already in effect at Epicenter, can open doors, operate printers or purchase food, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The small chips are powered by Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
The microchip implants, described in the article as potentially "dystopian," are beloved by the company's employees. Epicenter employees reportedly hold parties for new people who sign up to get the chip.
Some believers may wonder whether this new technology could become the mark of the beast, as described in Revelation.
Patrick Mesterton, the CEO of Epicenter, has addressed possible concerns about the technology. He told the Orlando Sentinel, "Of course, putting things into your body is quite a big step to do and it was even for me at first. But then on the other hand, I mean, people have been implanting things into their body, like pacemakers and stuff to control your heart. That's a way, way more serious thing than having a small chip that can actually communicate with devices."
The technology is also one-way, so while other devices can glean information from a user's chip, they cannot input new information.
Still, how do you feel about this new technology? Comment and let us know.

First Lady Opens Campaign Rally With Lord's Prayer

First Lady Melania Trump recited the Lord's Prayer on Saturday at a Melbourne, Florida, campaign rally.
While President Donald Trump discussed immigration and his ongoing battles with the media, the First Lady led the crowd in Matthew 6:9-13.
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name," she said. "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen."

Trump's Inauguration Showcases Power of Prayer - TAYLOR BERGLUND CHARISMA NEWS

Trump's Inauguration Showcases Power of Prayer

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

President Donald J. Trump's inaugural address was full of many promises for the future. But charismatic believers may have been most delighted by the promise of America united, once again, under God.
The inauguration ceremony featured six prayers by key figures, including Franklin Graham, Paula White and Samuel Rodriguez. The new president referred to God three times in his speech. The ceremony was so Spirit-saturated that an uninformed observer could easily mistake the inauguration ceremony for a church service.
The ceremony's invocation began with Timothy Cardinal Dolan, the Catholic archbishop of New York. "Give us wisdom, for we are your servants weak and short lived, lacking in comprehension of judgment and of laws," he prayed. "Indeed, though one might be perfect among mortals, if wisdom which comes from you be lacking, we account for nothing."
Rev. Samuel Rodriguez spoke next, praying scripture from Matthew 5:3-16: "Blessed are those who are pure at heart, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will called children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. And, God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you, and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers."
Paula White-Cain concluded the invocation, praying: "Gracious God, reveal unto our president the ability to know the will, Your will, the confidence to lead us in justice and righteousness and the compassion to yield to our better angels. While we know there are many challenges before us, in every generation, You have provided the strength and power to become that blessed nation. Guide us in discernment, Lord, and give us that strength to persevere and thrive. Now, bind and heal our wounds and divisions, and join our nation to Your purpose."
During his inaugural address, President Trump quoted Scripture, saying, "When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice. The Bible tells us, 'How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity.' We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable."
Later, Trump acknowledged the power of God. "We are protected, and we will always be protected," he said. "We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and, most importantly, we are protected by God."
He concluded his remarks by publicly thanking God, at which point the benediction began. Rabbi Marvin Hier began, saying, "Eternal God, bless President Donald J. Trump and America, our great nation. Guide us to remember the words of the psalmist: 'Who may dwell on your holy mountain? One who does what is right and speaks the truth.'"
Franklin Graham remarked on the ceremony's rainy conditions, suggesting it could be a sign of God's favor. "Mr. President, in the Bible, rain is a sign of God's blessing," Graham said. "And it started to rain, Mr. President, when you came to the platform. And it's my prayer that God will bless you, your family, your administration, and may He bless America."
Finally, Bishop Wayne T. Jackson concluded: "Today we pray for our 45th president, the vice president and their families. Give them the wisdom to guide this great nation, the strength to protect it and the hands to heal it. We bless President Donald J. Trump. We ask that you give him the wisdom of Solomon, the vision of Joseph and the meekness of Christ—Solomon, who kept peace among many nations; Joseph, who dreamt better for the people; and Christ, who accepted us all."
Believers, let us keep our new president and vice president in prayer as they begin the difficult task of leading this country.

United Arab Emirates telecommunications companies recently revealed new technology that could allow total payment of goods and services using only an embedded microchip.
According to Shoshana Kedem of 7days.ae, the technology comes from a new process called "bio-hacking, where an alien device is embedded on the back of the hand between the thumb and forefinger using a special syringe." The technology was unveiled at GITEX 2016 in Dubai. The microchips are capable of storing all credit card and identification data.
A universal mark on the back of the hand may remind believers of Rev. 13:16-17, where John writes, "He causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one may buy or sell, except he who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name."
Though there are no indications bio-hacking will be mandatory, the implant may be permanent. Medical tattoo artist Hazim Naori told 7days.ae, "It's like a piercing, it doesn't hurt, but it feels a bit uncomfortable for the first day. The bio-hacking improves and enhances your body and will be not just a wearable device, but a device within yourself. You cannot replace or lose it, if you have an accident it's still with you."
Naori could not, however, say what role the device might play in society. He compared its potential to credit cards and online accounts, which link multiple accounts and enable quick commerce. The only obstacles to microchip implementation are infrastructure and international approvals.
What do you think about bio-hacking? Let us know in the comments section.

Donald Trump Tells Christian Leaders He Is 'Concerned' About Christians' Rights in America - TAYLOR BERGLUND CHARISMA NEWS

Donald Trump Tells Christian Leaders He Is 'Concerned' About Christians' Rights in America

Donald Trump secretly met last week with Sid Roth, Rick Joyner and other apostolic and evangelical church leaders. Mario Bramnick, senior pastor of New Wine Ministries Church in Cooper City, Florida, told Charisma about his private conversation with Trump—and what it reveals about the Republican frontrunner's true stances.
Bramnick attended the Trump Tower meeting as a representative for the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC). NHCLC, the largest Hispanic Christian evangelical organization in America, is led by popular pastor Samuel Rodriguez Jr. Bramnick was joined in the meeting by Roth, Joyner, Frank Amedia, Alex Nuñez and Darrell Scott.
Though Trump has reportedly not changed his mind regarding immigration, Bramnick said Trump showed greater understanding for the plight of Latinos than he had in the past.
"I personally felt that I saw a different side of him from some of what has come forth in his statements previously," Bramnick said. "He seemed to understand the plight of the undocumented, the plight of the Latino here in America, and really showed a willingness to wanting to work with our community."
Rodriguez has been openly critical of Trump in past months, but this meeting suggests the two men may be able to find common ground. Bramnick said NHCLC and Trump actually agreed on many immigration-related issues: the importance of strong border security, comprehensive immigration reform and deportation for illegal immigrants with criminal records.
As president of the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition, Bramnick was also encouraged by Trump's addition of a pro-Israel advisor, Jason Greenblatt, to his campaign. Trump also reportedly demonstrated genuine concern for the state of religious liberty.
"He told us in the meeting that he's very, very concerned that Christians are losing their rights in America, that we no longer can even speak or express what we believe," Bramnick said. "And he did say that if he becomes president, he's going to change things to make sure that we as Christians have our religious liberties restored. He said he's concerned about Christians, he's concerned about Jews, and he wants to help."
Yet Bramnick said he was not endorsing any candidate at this time. Instead, he exhorted evangelicals to be prayerful and seek God's wisdom during this election cycle.
Bramnick said, "In our decision-making process—especially at such a critical crossroad in America—we need to see which candidate is most pro-life? Which candidate is most pro-religious freedom? And which candidate is most pro-marriage? And which candidate is most concerned about the immigrant and the stranger? We are in such a critical time. I don't think not voting is an option. We've got to be sober-minded. We can't be one issue-oriented.
"We need to cry out for our nation. We know the answer isn't coming from the Republican party or the Democratic party, but coming from the Lord. We all have expectations of great revival or great third awakening, but we're in very difficult times. We've been called to be light, we've been called to be salt, and we are the ones by the spirit first—not by power, not by might, but by God's spirit—to cry out to God, to decree and declare, to bring our nation back to its original godly values."

Justin Bieber's faith has been a major topic for the pop star. And this week, Bieber made one of his strongest declarations of faith yet.
This week, Bieber filled his followers' social media feeds with exhortations and encouragement from Scripture. On Instagram, he posted an image of Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God." He captioned the image, "Remember there's a God that loves you and is for you. Be still in his presence he will give you true rest."

ISIS has burned 15 civilians to death after they tried to flee Fallujah. Fallujah is ISIS' second-largest stronghold in Iraq after Mosul, according to the Daily Mail.
These acts of violence are unfortunately common in Fallujah. Last month, six men were reportedly executed after they were suspected of being Iraqi spies.
The extremist group also arrested a woman who went on television and begged Western powers to "save us or bomb us." In the woman's speech on TV, she said that people in the city were dying from hunger and lack of medicine.
Azal Obaid, a local governor in the region, told ARA News that ISIS is using Fallujah's citizens as human shields to protect their militant forces. However, he did add that "there is a military plan prepared by the leadership of the Iraqi army and local tribes to liberate the city of Fallujah. The plan cannot be disclosed to the press at the moment for security reasons."
Pray that the innocent civilians would be saved from ISIS' brutal reign.
