White House: Israel Has a Right to Defend Itself

A White House official said on Friday, July 20, 2018 that Israel has a right to defend itself against Hamas attacks, and called on the terrorist group which controls Gaza to end the escalation.
"Israel has a right to defend itself. Hamas' aggression only produced misery for Gaza. Among victims of this situation are many Palestinians who aren't rioting but whose futures are dimmed by Hamas radicalism. Hamas must end this disastrous cycle," the official told Israel's Channel 10 News.
The comments came hours after IAF jets on Friday evening struck dozens of military targets belonging to Hamas in northern and southern Gaza, in response to a serious incident near the border in which an IDF soldier was killed by terrorist snipers, reports Arutz-7.

New Museum Reveals What Life Was Actually Like in Jesus' Day

The Terra Sancta Museum's new wing, built into the ruined remains of Crusader and Mamluk buildings along the Via Dolorosa in the Old City, showcases objects discovered in excavations at biblical sites over the past century.
Many of the items going on display in the new exhibit, titled "The House of Herod: Life and Power in the Age of the New Testament," have never been shown to the public. Coins, ceramic fragments, ossuaries and stone slabs bear inscriptions in Hebrew, Greek, Latin and Samaritan, illustrating the kaleidoscopic variety of cultures present in the Holy Land during the first centuries. The artifacts include everything from elegant Corinthian columns from Herod's palace to humble wares from Galilean homes.
Father Eugenio Alliata, the museum director, said it was important to "present something of the real life of people at the time," given that the teachings of Yeshua" are so much intersected with the common life of the people," according to the Times of Israel.

Education and Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett addressed the official Remembrance Day Ceremony at Latrun on April 17, 2018.
The ceremony was attended by thousands of Jews from around the world and broadcast live to dozens of communities. During his speech, Bennett warned Iran and its proxies not to test Israel, because the Jewish State is stronger than they are.
"Last week, we remembered the price we paid for not having a state. Now we remember the price we have and pay for having a state. In two days at Auschwitz we lost the same number of soldiers we lost since the founding of Israel. Never will we depend on anyone but ourselves. Ladies and gentlemen, we are surrounded by enemies. Only a few weeks ago Iran sent an armed drone towards us. The Iranian octopus is trying to strangle us and break our spirit. But Israel is stronger than them. We have a 3,800-year-old nation, with the strongest spirit on earth. From here I tell the leaders of Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah—do not try us. United, we can overcome any challenge," according to Arutz-7.
Israel's northern borders are increasingly endangered by numerous enemies including Syria and the Lebanese-based Hezbollah terrorist group. The strongest and most dangerous is Iran that is steadily embedding its military resources in Syria and increasing its threats to attack the Jewish state. Iran has voiced its desire numerous times to "wipe out Israel."

100,000 Participate in Priestly Blessing at Western Wall - JNN/VISION FOR ISRAEL CHARISMA NEWS

Around 100,000 people took part in the Passover priestly blessing of the kohanim(members of the priestly line) at the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Mon. 2 April, 2018.
The blessing is recited by Jewish people who are said to be descendants of Aaron, the brother of Moses, and is one of the most ancient blessings in the Jewish faith. Kohanim often cover their faces when they utter the blessing, it being a long-held tradition that the face of a kohen during the blessing is awe-inspiring.
The ceremony was attended by leading rabbis in Israel in addition to USA Ambassador to Israel David Friedman. The blessing is recited by kohanim at various times throughout the Jewish calendar in the diaspora, but is recited daily during prayers in Jerusalem and weekly across Israel, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The priestly blessing: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace" (Num. 6:24-26).

Why Christians Need to Cover Mike Pence in Prayer This Week

United States Vice President Mike Pence will travel to the Middle East Jan. 19-23, with other stops in Egypt and Jordan to meet with their leaders.
In Israel on the last two days of the trip, the vice president is scheduled to meet jointly with Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, and to address the Knesset. He also is scheduled to visit the Western Wall and Yad Vashem.
Palestinian leaders refuse to meet with Pence in the wake of President Donald Trump's recognition last month of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Pence postponed a planned mid-December visit to Israel so he could preside over the vote on a tax overhaul favored by Trump.
The original trip had included meetings in Bethlehem with Palestinian Authority officials. On the newly scheduled trip, prior to visiting Israel, Pence will meet in Egypt on Jan. 20, 2018, with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and in Jordan on Jan. 21, 2018, with King Abdullah II. At President Trump's direction, the vice president is traveling to the Middle East to reaffirm the commitment to work with the USA's allies in the region to defeat radicalism that threatens future generations. The vice president is looking forward to meeting with the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and Israel to discuss ways to work together to fight terrorism and improve our national security," according to JTA.
Once again, please pray for visiting Pence. May his words be God-given and anointed with wisdom. Intercede for traveling mercies, divine protection and a sense of welcome in his travels.
