A City of Unity ✡ "The Entire People Assembled As One Man In Yerushalayim" - Israel365

When the seventh month arrived—the Israelites being settled in their towns—the entire people assembled as one man in Yerushalayim
Ezra 3:1 (The Israel Bible™)

A City of Unity

This verse recalls the Revelation at Mount Sinai: “They encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mount.” (Exodus 19:2). The great medieval commentator, Rashi, points out that the transition from the plural to the singular form of the verb indicates that at Sinai, the Israelites were “as one person, with one heart.” Just as the magnitude of the Sinai experience united the multitudes of people from twelve tribes into one nation, such is the power of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). Just as in the times of Ezra and the Jewish return from Babylonia, Yerushalayim continues to gather all of Israel together and to serve as a source of unity for all of mankind.

Where Do Jews Come From? ✡ "The Yehudim Who Came Up From You To Us Have Reached Yerushalayim" - Israel365

Be it known to the king that the Yehudim who came up from you to us have reached Yerushalayim and are rebuilding that rebellious and wicked city; they are completing the walls and repairing the foundation
Ezra 4:12 (The Israel Bible™)

Where Do Jews Come From?

The chosen people have many Biblical titles such as; Hebrews, children of Yaakov (Jacob), and Israelites. What is the origin of the branding ‘Jew’, in Hebrew Yehudi (יהודי)? The term is first employed as a specific ethnic title during the Babylonian exile, as can be seen in this verse and also in Daniel and Esther. Historically, this name indicated an association with the tribe of Yehuda (Judah), from which most of the Babylonian exiles descended. However, the name ultimately derives from the Hebrew root which means to ‘praise’ or ‘give thanks’. The name thus highlights the inherent Jewish value of gratitude to Hashem(God).

Divine Protection of Yerushalayim ✡ "I Will Make Yerushalayim A Stone For All The Peoples To Lift" - Israel365

When all the nations of the earth gather against her. In that day, I will make Yerushalayim a stone for all the peoples to lift; all who lift it shall injure themselves
Zechariah 12:3 (The Israel Bible™)

Divine Protection of Yerushalayim

Zecharya (Zechariah) prophesied about a future attack against Yehuda (Judah) by the nations of the world. In that attack, the nations will besiege Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), Israel’s capital, only to be miraculously defeated by YehudaZecharya states that Yerushalayim will become “a stone for all the peoples to lift,” and “all who lift it shall injure themselves.” In ancient times, when heavy stones lay in a field, farmers would have to remove them with great effort, often cutting themselves futilely, in order to plough their fields. This verse insinuates that the nations of the world who try to remove Yehuda and Yerushalayim will fail, futilely injuring themselves while trying to destroy the holy city.
