Today, he is gathering 68 nations in D.C. to strengthen anti-ISIS coalition. by joelcrosenberg (Dallas, Texas) -- Just two months into the Trump-Pence administration, we are seeing a very aggressive and encouraging new approach to the war against the Islamic State. The President has asked the Pentagon for a comprehensive new strategy. Mr. Trump is telling Secretary Mattis and the generals that he doesn't simply want to fight ISIS -- he wants to crush it and win a decisive victory. The President is pushing his homeland security team to step up efforts to protect the American people from the threat of ISIS attacks and secure America's borders. Liberal judges in Washington, Hawaii and Maryland are trying to block him, but the Commander-in-Chief dare not surrender to them. He needs to stay focused everyday on protecting the homeland. Last year alone, 37 people were arrested in the U.S. on ISIS-related plots. The threat is real. We must be vigilant. The President is rightly and wisely reaching out to our Arab Muslim allies. I'm so grateful for an improved US-Israeli alliance. But to defeat ISIS, we also need a broad Muslim coalition. That's why I'm encouraged that the President met this week with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi to discuss how to finish the job of liberating and securing northern Iraq and protecting Muslims, Christians and Yazidis there. Last week, he met with the Saudi Deputy Crown Prince to discuss defeating ISIS. He recently met with Jordan's King Abdullah II. In early April, he will meet with Egyptian President el-Sisi. Today, the Trump Administration has gathered foreign ministers from 68 nations in Washington to discuss how to work together more closely to defeat ISIS. Secretary of State Tillerson will take the lead in these meetings. There will also be lots of side meetings, all focused on developing a more effective strategy to win. These are positive developments. But more is needed. ISIS wants to launch a series of catastrophic attacks inside the homeland. That's what my new novel, WITHOUT WARNING, is all about. [Read/watch his first Joint Address to Congress.] by joelcrosenberg In his first address to a Joint Session of Congress and to the nation since his Inaugural, President Trump focused primary on rebuilding  and reigniting the lackluster American economy and creating millions of new jobs. But he also devoted important time to his foreign policy and national security goals. Among them: Protect the nation from the threat of "radical Islamic terrorism." Attack and defeat the forces of the Islamic State, which he described as "a network of lawless savages that have slaughtered Muslims and Christians, and men, and women, and children of all faiths and all beliefs." Protect America's borders from illegal infiltrations. Strengthen America's alliance with the State of Israel. Work closely with "our Muslim friends and alliances" to advance security and peace. Support and work with our NATO allies, while encouraging each NATO ally to pay its full 2% of their GDP as agreed to in the alliance's charter. To his credit, the President also opened his speech by denouncing anti-Semitism and other hate crimes, including "recent threats targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week's shooting in Kansas City." The speech was well written, quite well delivered, and stunningly well received. As CNN reported:"President Donald Trump's first address to Congress received largely positive reviews from viewers, with 57% who tuned in saying they had a very positive reaction to the speech, according to a new CNN/ORC poll of speech-watchers." In case you missed it, here are key national security excerpts worth reading or watching: To any in Congress who do not believe we should enforce our laws, I would ask you this one question:  What would you say to the American family that loses their jobs, their income, or their loved one because America refused to uphold its laws and defend its borders? Our obligation is to serve, protect, and defend the citizens of the United States.   We are also taking strong measures to protect our nation from radical Islamic terrorism.  According to data provided by the Department of Justice, the vast majority of individuals convicted of terrorism and terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from outside of our country.   We have seen the attacks at home -- from Boston to San Bernardino to the Pentagon, and, yes, even the World Trade Center. I have also imposed new sanctions on entities and individuals who support Iran's ballistic missile program, and reaffirmed our unbreakable alliance with the State of Israel.... To those allies who wonder what kind of a friend America will be, look no further than the heroes who wear our uniform.  Our foreign policy calls for a direct, robust and meaningful engagement with the world.  It is American leadership based on vital security interests that we share with our allies all across the globe. We strongly support NATO, an alliance forged through the bonds of two world wars that dethroned fascism, and a Cold War, and defeated communism.  (Applause.) But our partners must meet their financial obligations.  And now, based on our very strong and frank discussions, they are beginning to do just that.  In fact, I can tell you, the money is pouring in.  Very nice.  (Applause.)  We expect our partners -- whether in NATO, the Middle East, or in the Pacific -- to take a direct and meaningful role in both strategic and military operations, and pay their fair share of the cost. Here’s what we know. by joelcrosenberg It's not public yet, but the Pentagon has just delivered to the President and his national security team the beginnings of a comprehensive new strategy to defeat the Islamic State and other Mideast terrorist organizations. The president requested the first draft of such a plan within 30 days of his inauguration. While most of the plan will remain classified, I'm eager to learn as much as possible about how Mattis and his generals plan to press the offensive. However, what's critical is not just the Pentagon's kinetic war plan. What we also need is a new plan from the State Department and National Security Council on how to conduct far more effective strategic communications in this war. What's the best way for Washington to define our enemy? Is "Radical Islam" an effective or offensive short-hand descriptor? Is "Radical Islamism" a somewhat more precise and thus better term? Why is using the term "countering violent extremism" a flawed phrase? How can the new administration do a better job than the previous administration in educating the American people as to the important nuances of this fight? How can we work more closely with our Sunni Arab allies such as Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and the Gulf states? How can we mobilize the vast majority of the Muslim world that does not support terrorism in our efforts to defeat the radicals? It Is About Time That We Had A President That Was Willing To Go To War With The Mainstream Media

Thursday afternoon’s press conference was perhaps the most memorable moment of Donald Trump’s presidency so far.  Trump’s blistering attack on the media was quite a spectacle, but the truth is that it was desperately needed. 

For decades, the mainstream media has dominated political discourse in this country no matter who has been in control of the White House or Congress.  They have become masters of guiding and shaping public opinion, and in recent years they have completely discarded any pretense of being “unbiased” or “objective”. 

These monolithic media organizations relentlessly push the progressive agenda of their owners (the global elite), and that is why the “news” always seems to be just about the same no matter which network it is coming from.  Their monopoly is slowly being broken by the rise of the alternative media, but the truth is that most Americans still rely on just a handful of ultra-powerful media organizations for their news.

So when Trump brutally attacked the mainstream media at his press conference on Thursday, millions upon millions of Americans greatly rejoiced, because they finally got what was coming to them.  And then on Friday, Trump posted a message to Twitter calling the New York Times, NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN “the enemy of the American people”…

The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

After Donald Trump’s surprise election victory in November, many in the mainstream media started referring to the pro-Trump alternative media as “fake news”, but now Trump has totally turned that insult against them.

For weeks Trump has been referring to CNN as “fake news”, but on Friday he said that he was now going to refer to them as “very fake news”.  The following exchange between Trump and CNN’s Jim Acosta comes from the official White House website…

Q    Just because of the attack of fake news and attacking our network, I just want to ask you, sir —
THE PRESIDENT:  I’m changing it from fake news, though.
Q    Doesn’t that undermine —
THE PRESIDENT:  Very fake news now.  (Laughter.) 

We have never seen an exchange quite like that between a president of the United States and a prominent member of the mainstream media, but it was well overdue…

For eight years, the mainstream media gushed and fawned over Barack Obama because he supported the progressive agenda of the global elite, but now that Trump is in the White House virtually every story from the mainstream media is negative.

So when Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon refers to them as “the opposition party” he is right on target…

In a rare interview with The New York Times last month, Chief White House Strategist Steve Bannon, the former chair of the far-right Breitbart News, called reporters the “opposition party” and said “the media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while.”
“They don’t understand this country,” Bannon said. “They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

At this point, the mainstream media is so desperate to portray Trump as a bad guy that they have resorted to a modern day version of McCarthyism.  For decades, liberals always pointed to McCarthyism as one of the greatest examples of paranoia and intolerance in modern American history, but now they are doing the exact same thing to Trump…

A bizarre feature of the present confrontation is that the Democrats and liberals have relaunched McCarthyism, something they would have decried as a toxic episode in American political history until a few months ago. Just as Senator Joe McCarthy claimed in 1950 to have a list of communist infiltrators in the State Department, so any contact between a Trump supporter or official and a Russian is now being reported as suspicious and potentially treacherous. It is difficult to see where Trump is wrong when he tweeted that “the Democrats had to come up with a story as to why they lost the election, and so badly, so they made up a story – RUSSIA. Fake news!”

The reason why many of us constantly refer to the mainstream media as a single entity is because it really is very tightly controlled.  You see, the truth is that more than 90 percent of the news, information and entertainment that Americans get through their televisions comes from just 6 giant media corporations.  And of course those 6 enormous corporations are owned and controlled by the elite of the world.

The war for our society is a war for hearts and minds, and the reason why the elite have made so much progress is because most Americans allow thousands upon thousands of hours of “programming” to be constantly pumped into their heads.

The following numbers come directly from Nielsen, and they show how much news, information and entertainment average Americans consume through various methods each day…

Watching live television: 4 hours, 32 minutes
Watching time-shifted television: 30 minutes
Listening to the radio: 2 hours, 44 minutes
Using  a smartphone: 1 hour, 33 minutes
Using Internet on a computer: 1 hour, 6 minutes

When you add the top two categories together, the average American consumes more than five hours of television every single day.

And when you add all of those categories together, the average American is plugged into “the matrix” in some way for more than 10 hours a day.

We are literally subjecting ourselves to a form of very powerful mind control, and the extraordinary power of the media is something that I addressed in my novel.  There are some people that actually cannot stand complete silence because they have become so accustomed to having something “on” all the time.  As a society, we are absolutely addicted to entertainment, but there is always an agenda behind that entertainment.  This is something that I talked about in a previous article…

Virtually every television show, movie, song, book, news broadcast and talk show is trying to shape how you view reality.  Whether you realize it or not, you are constantly being bombarded with messages about what is true and what is not, about what is right and what is wrong, and about what really matters and what is unimportant.  Even leaving something out or ignoring something completely can send an extremely powerful message.

When Donald Trump said that the mainstream media is “the enemy of the American People”, he was 100 percent correct.

If our country is going to have a positive future, the immense power that these media corporations have over the general population must be broken.

It is about time that we had a president that was willing to go to war with the mainstream media, and I greatly applaud President Trump for the stand that he is taking.

Even so, every laborer deserves to be paid. Inasmuch as we pay our reporters, we facilitate their lives in Israel, encourage them and insure more and better stories in the future.
