RT Kendall: 'This Is the Most Important Blog Post I've Written in Many Years'

This is the most important blog I have written in many years. I pray with all my heart that this will be read and spread to ordinary Christians all over the world. I cannot come close in emphasizing how important this particular blog is.
A melancholy fact: Most Christians do not have a Bible reading plan. Most Christians do not read their Bibles regularly. Some Christians do not read their Bibles very much at all. And ... some church leaders do not read their Bibles. I happen to know more than I care to reveal—how many famous Christians and leaders have not read the Bible through at all!
I am aiming this blog at ordinary Christians. My followers are not clergymen or church leaders but laymen—ordinary Christians.
Mrs. Martyn Lloyd-Jones made a gripping observation about C. S. Lewis' bookScrewtape Letters, a brilliant satire that includes among other things how the devil tempts new Christians. She lamented that one huge thing Lewis left out—that should have been put in—was how the devil wants to keep people from reading their Bibles. I do agree; it would have been so helpful had Lewis put that in.
I am convinced that the devil will do anything to keep people from reading their Bibles.
Has the devil succeeded with you? How much do you read your Bible?
This blog was inspired by a recent trauma I had in Bimini, Bahamas. Perhaps trauma is too strong a word. But what happened was this: I took a brief vacation to do some bonefishing—my only vacation for 2015. When I turned to read my Bible, lo and behold, I had not packed my Bible or diary (which includes my prayer list)! I was sobered. I never leave home without my Bible, but somehow I let that happen. The thought of not getting to read my Bible for three or four days was almost horrifying. I thought: what do people do who don't have their Bibles?
Then I remembered something I heard only a few days ago when I was in Singapore. That there is a church where people are not encouraged to read their Bibles—at home or at church—but only wait for God to give a "revelation." Like a vision. Orrhema word of knowledge. That's it. The thought of reading the Bible or hearing an expository sermon does not come on to their radar screen! I was flabbergasted when I heard that.
Do listen to me, dear reader. Once we give up the conviction that the Bible is the only infallible Word of God, we open ourselves to a strange world out there that mayinclude the Holy Spirit but also if not equally the realm of the demonic. Do not be surprised: Satan "masquerades" as an angel of light (2 Cor.11:14). The devil will work overtime to keeping Christians from reading the Bible. He would love you to close it and just wait on God.
Whereas the Bible was not given to replace the miraculous or even revelation, as Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones used to say, but "to correct abuses," too many people don't know their Bibles well enough to know what the Word of God says. And what the abuses might be. The Bible is the Final and Ultimate Revelation of Truth; no vision, word of knowledge or insight will ever—ever—contradict what the Bible has said. The first test of any vision or prophetic word is to run it by Scripture. If it is not upheld by the infallible Word of God, reject it—no matter how much you may respect the person who gives you a word.
I am grateful in particular for two things in my life. First, my parents taught me to read my Bible daily. This is what they did: The thought of not reading at least a chapter a day in the Bible was out of the question. Second, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones—my chief mentor—introduced me to Robert Murray M'Cheyne's Bible reading plan many years ago. As a consequence, I think I can say I have read the entire Bible through some 40 times and the New Testament eighty times. A Bible Reading Plan "keeps you in the Word," Dr. Lloyd-Jones used to say to me.
Many preachers only consult their Bibles when they need a sermon. I persuaded a very close friend—a high-profile prophetically gifted man—to start reading his Bible. Two years ago he began a plan and read the Bible through for the first time in his life! He could not thank me enough. He was (amazingly) amazed over how much it meant to him!
Why had he not been doing this sooner? You tell me.
How much do you read your Bible?
I urge you to go online and find a one-year Bible reading plan, one that will help you to read the Bible through in a year. I urge you to begin today in this plan and never, never, never, never stop it.
The very thought that the devil does not want you to do this should galvanize every true Christian to want to fall on their knees—to pray more and read the Bible more.
Here's the thing. Read the Bible—logos, Holy Scripture—and you will be thrilled to discover how often God gives you a rhema word. A rhema word basically means the unfolding of God's secret will, when He speaks directly to you. God does this. But I can predict: Chase after a rhema word all the time and you will probably receive nothing from God; chase after Holy Scripture and He will give you rhema words whenever you need such.
I have said little in this blog about personal prayer time. Please see my book Did You Think to Pray? In it I stress time with God. Children spell love T-I-M-E. How much time do you spend in prayer? I recommend 30 minutes a day for every layman; 60 minutes a day (minimum) for every church leader. The average church leader in Britain and the USA spends four minutes a day in quiet time. And you wonder why the church is powerless?
Please read your Bible through this year. The Bible is the Holy Spirit's greatest product. He wrote it (2 Tim. 3:15; 2 Pet. 1:21). If you want to get on good terms with the Holy Spirit, then read His Word!
One can go through Seminary (preparing for the ministry) nowadays and never get to know their Bibles. They read about the Bible. Many young people going into the ministry have not read their Bibles through and then they read only about the Bible without the foggiest idea what the Bible says.
One very, very famous Christian said that if he had his life to live over he would spend more time reading the Bible than reading books about the Bible.
It is my heart-felt cry to God that many people will read this blog and take it seriously. You will never be sorry. Also, you will never be the same again.

Anne Graham Lotz Gives Prophetic Warning About 2016

As I look ahead into 2016, I believe our national and global situation will get worse. A good friend has focused my attention on Isaiah 60:1-2 as a word from the Lord for the New Year: "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you."
I can feel the encroaching darkness of evil that is like a heavy moral and spiritual fog. It's permeating our nation at every level. At the very same time that our nation is enveloped in thick darkness, God commands us to arise, let our Light shine, and the distinctive glory of our Lord will be obvious to all.
These conflicting thoughts of thick darkness and light, of encroaching evil and glory, were on my mind during these days before Christmas. I have been meditating on 2 Chronicles 20 in which Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, was warned that a vast army was coming against him. As I put myself in his place, I asked myself, what do we do when we are warned of the enemy's advance? The answer was given in the next verse: "Then Jehoshaphat was fearful and set himself to seek the Lord, and he called for a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah was assembled to seek the Lord; even from all the cities of Judah, they came to obtain aid from the Lord" (2 Chr. 20:3-4). Jehoshaphat led God's people in a prayer that was a desperate heart's cry for help.
I have been repeatedly warned in my spirit that the enemy is advancing. It's something that I know. And I feel compelled, like Jehoshaphat, to lead God's people also in a desperate prayer for help before we plunge past the point of no return into the abyss of God's judgment.
The glory is that God answered Jehoshaphat's prayer by reassuring him, "'Do not fear, nor be dismayed because of this great army, for the battle is not yours, but God's. ...It will not be necessary for you to fight in this conflict. Take your positions, stand, and observe the deliverance of the Lord for you, O Judah and Jerusalem.' Do not fear or be filled with terror. ... (T)he Lord will be with you" (2 Chr. 20:15, 17).
What is the position we are to take up? I believe it's a position on our knees as we humble ourselves, seek God's face, repent of our sin and intercede for our nation. Then, having done all, we stand firm in our faith that God has heard and will answer our prayer.

Biblical Prophecy from Book of Daniel Connects Rapid Rise of Anti-Semitism as Precursor to Redemption - BIN

Is Virulent Anti-Semitism a Sign of Imminent Redemption?

“Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it; and it is a time of trouble unto Jacob, but out of it shall he be saved.” (Jeremiah 30:7)
From a Biblical perspective, it is possible to see the uptick in anti-Semitism as a sign of the coming Redemption.
In his address to the Israeli Knesset on December 29, Irwin Cotler, a celebrated human rights lawyer, warned that Israel and the Jewish people are suffering from a “new, escalating, global, sophisticated, virulent and even lethal anti-Semitism.”
Cotler characterized this new anti-Semitism as “discrimination against, denial of, assault upon the right of Israel and the Jewish people to live as an equal member of the family of nations, in fact the right even to live, with Israel emerging as the collective Jew among the nations – the targeted collective Jew among the nations.”
The prophet Daniel, writing about the End of Days, warned that we would witness “a time of trouble, such as never was”:
“And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” (Daniel 12:1)
The angel Michael historically stands to defend the Jewish people in Heaven. The “time of trouble” is understood by the Jewish sages to refer to the oppression of the Jewish people at the hands of the descendents of Ishmael at the End of Days. In other words, “the time of trouble” is a reference to the Arab terrorism of today, and the associated attempts to erase the very existence of Israel from the world.
An example of this trend of delegitimizing Israel can be seen in a recent op-ed, published by Forbes, in response to Kuwait Airlines’ recent decision to stop flying between New York and London. As a matter of policy, Kuwait Airlines refuses service to travelers with Israeli passports.

The end is near. Are you ready?
Rather than opposing this discrimination against Israelis, author Martin Rivers, an aviation journalist and Middle East politics blogger, calls the legitimacy of Israel into question. His op-ed, titled “It’s Easy To Blame Kuwait Airways For Discrimination Against Israelis – But It’s Wrong”, finds justification for Kuwait’s refusal to recognize Israel “as a legitimate country” and for its national airline to refuse to serve Israeli passengers.
“The tiny Gulf state, like 16 other mostly Arab nations, does not recognize Israel as a legitimate country. As backwards as this may seem, its stance reflects the unique manner in which the Jewish State was founded in 1948,” Rivers writes. “Even Israel’s most ardent supporters will concede that its establishment, or re-establishment, after World War II was cumbersomely managed. Displaced Arabs living in what had hitherto been known as British Mandate Palestine endured grave hardships during the process. Colonial Britain deserves much of the blame.”
Ironically, though Rivers cast aspersions on Britain, a recent report released by the Met Police in Britain indicates that, between November 2014 and November 2015, anti-Semitic crimes in Britain shot up by 61 percent.
Prolific End of Times author Rabbi Pinchas Winston told Breaking Israel News that rising anti-Semitism worldwide is a Biblical clue that it’s time for the Jewish people to return to Israel.
“We learn from the great Patriarch Jacob how anti-Semitism is an important precursor of redemption. It was the libel he heard from his brothers-in-law, and then the worsening of his relationship with his father-in-law, Laban, that alerted Jacob that it was time to leave the Diaspora and return back to Israel,” he explained to Breaking Israel News.

“The ‘anti-Semitism’ told him that the Divine protection that had kept Laban at bay until then was ‘moving on,’ and that he should do likewise. He heeded the message and remained safe. It’s when we haven’t [heeded the message] that anti-Semitism has increased, often resulting in the destruction of all that kept us in the Diaspora, and our lives as well.”
Rabbi Shimon Apisdorf, adult Jewish educator and award-winning author of 11 books, told Breaking Israel News that the antidote to today’s anti-Semitism lies with the Jewish people. According to Apisdorf, “[W]hen the entire Jewish people can speak with one clear voice and say from the depths of our collective soul that the land of Israel is the homeland of the Jewish people because God gave it to us—that will make all the difference in the world.”
On a more optimistic note, although both prophets Jeremiah and Daniel foretold of the increased anti-Semitism Israel would experience at the End of Days, they also both mentioned that, ultimately, salvation and deliverance would come for the Jewish people. On the verse in the Book of Daniel, Rashi, the foremost Jewish Biblical commentator, specifically assures that, “The kingdom of Gog will be destroyed and Israel will escape.”
LOVE FOR HIS PEOPLE FEATURED BOOK

Paperback $5.95
Kindle $1.99

My heart yearns for the glory of the Lord Jesus to be revealed in the earth, touching the hearts and souls of men, women and children in each and every nation. As we see the days become darker, we believe that the Lord God of Israel will show Himself strong, and prove that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, as He says He is.

I wrote this book for you who also long to walk in strong faith, courage and commitment to the end, for whatever the Lord has planned and purposed for you and I. Together, as the Body of Christ, and the glorious Bride that we will become, we will one day see His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

The Gospel, the Good News of salvation, will be declared, and that which is just and good will for all eternity overcome the evil one. I sincerely believe we are living in the end of days, as prophetic words have been rapidly fulfilled since the re-birth of Israel in 1948. Jesus Himself had said that when we see the fig tree budding, we know that the time is near.

This book, my 10th published in the last three years (all between 2013-2015) and before my 61st birthday, is very special to me. I sense it is something the Lord put on my heart to do several months ago, giving it that “urgency of getting it done and out there” feel as I wrote. Originally these chapters were Now Think On This messages.

It was amazing to me how many were done in September and October of 2015 alone, as the Holy Spirit would speak a word or sentence to me, and I would write soon after. I am truly grateful for His impartation, and acknowledge Jesus (Yeshua), my Lord and Savior, above all.

The photos I have included in the book are primarily ones I took (exceptions noted), both to document history and to share another way the Lord also speaks to His Body. Capturing moments of the Holy Spirit action, especially in the two “fire” photos, were exciting. In both cases I wasn’t even aware of it until they were “developed”.

I trust this book will both encourage you and cause you to re-commit yourself - to know the Lord’s will for your life, do all you can to allow Him to direct your steps, and be the light in these dark days we desperately need and have been called upon by the Lord to be. I am with you, arm in arm! Ahava (love in Hebrew) and shalom (peace),

Rick Joyner - Our Best Year Yet - Word for the Week (Jan.1, 2016)

Our Best Year Yet

Printer-friendly version
Week 1, 2016
How do we make this year our best yet? First, we need to look at what we’re doing and how to do it better. Then we need to prioritize what we’re doing so we don’t get consumed with things that may clamor loudly but are not the most important.
As Christians, we are supposed to carry our cross every day. We are called to die daily to our selfish desires so we can live for Christ. This helps us live the abundant life He calls us to have. How does dying daily lead to the abundant life? If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, wouldn’t today be filled with only the most important things in your life? What if we lived like that every day? Disciples do.
One of the things we should do on the first of each year is evaluate and rid ourselves of the unimportant things consuming our time, energy, and resources and devote them to the Lord. Taking whatever time is currently being wasted frivolously and giving it to the Lord can radically change our lives. As we do this, we will find ways to give Him more.
Growing in love for God and one another are two of the most important things we’re called to do in this life. These two things will determine if we have had a successful life or not. How do we grow in love for God? Because God is love, I don’t think you can see Him or anything about Him that will not cause you to love Him more. If we take a half hour each day that may usually be spent watching television and use it to study the Lord’s ways, we will grow to love Him more. This will also start a momentum for Him to use us to spread His love. Every time He uses us, it is a revelation of Him, and we grow in love for Him still more.
The Book of Revelation was given as “a revelation of Jesus Christ”—that He, Jesus, was given to give to His bondservants. This is the only book in the Bible that promises us a blessing just for reading it. In 2016, our Word for the Week will include a study of the Book of Revelation.
This book that scares so many is actually easy to understand, since it is a revelation, or “a revealing,” not “a hiding.” If you have the keys given to us in the beginning of the revelation, it is like unlocking the most wonderful doors you have ever gone through. It is time to understand this revelation; it will draw us closer to the Lord. I have been reading it over and over, as well as doing an in-depth study, and it has been like opening the mineshaft to the mother lode of revelation. It is time, and I think that as we get into this study, it could become one of your favorite books of the Bible.

The Simplest Health Habit You Should Start Today - LORIE JOHNSON/CBN NEWS MEDICAL REPORTER

Drinking green tea provides many health benefits.

Not many substances are as widely studied as tea. Now, the verdict is in. The bottom line: if you're not drinking tea on a regular basis, it might be a habit worth starting.
That's because when it comes to your health, tea packs a powerful punch. Combined studies examining literally hundreds of thousands of tea drinkers led a vast array of scientists to conclude that a consistent dose of tea is good for the body.
Most of the research was conducted in Asian countries, on people drinking hot, green tea. The amount mattered. Usually people only experienced health benefits if they drank at least three cups a day.
Dr. Patrick Fratellone is a cardiologist who practices integrative medicine New York City. He advises his patients to make tea a part of their daily life.
"The active component in green tea is EGCG," he explained. "And that's a polyphenol that helps reduce cholesterol, heart disease, and protects against cancer."
Green Tea Guidelines
Green tea comes from the camellia sinensis plant, as do black and white teas. Green tea contains the most EGCG. But with so many types of green tea on the market, it can be difficult to choose which is best.
Fratellone shares some guidelines.
"I like organic tea because you want to make sure it's grown in an area free of metal in the soil, so you don't want to have lead, cadmium, mercury, any bad, toxic elements," he explained.
"If it's in a bag, you don't want a bag that has a staple on it, sometimes that can get in the tea," he continued. "But I'd rather have loose. And sometimes I don't even strain it. I leave it in there and eat the leaves."
Research shows green tea lowers the risk of Type 2 diabetes and liver disease. It also has been shown to improve memory, reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and depression, as well as significantly lowering your chance of having a stroke.
"Tea is meant to be drunk plain and you get the more medicinal benefits," Fratellone explained. "When you add milk or sugar you can deactivate some of the active medicinal components."
"If there's anything to add, I would add raw honey. It's better to have hot or lukewarm," he said. "When people have iced tea, green iced tea, you lose a lot of the benefits."
Tea Instead of Pill
In addition to the teas you'd find at the grocery store, there are also lots of other teas that are very effective at treating specific medical conditions in lieu of popping a pill.
Fratellone is also a registered herbologist, with a vast knowledge about teas made from various plants, trees, and shrubs. He often prescribes those teas to his patients instead of allergy medicines, antacids, cough suppressants, and more.
"There are many teas that have antibiotic properties, so you don't always have to take an antibiotic," he said. "Yarrow has a great antibiotic profile against many bacteria and viruses. I use barberry, berberine—these are all teas from natural plants."
He points out that many conventional medicines you find at the average pharmacy are actually derived from plants.
"We have a tea for arthritis," he explained. "I use white willow bark, which comes from the tree salix. It's the active ingredient of aspirin, so I mix white willow bark, a little turmeric, a little ginger and probably some devil's claw."
Dorota Meller needed to overcome chronic fatigue.
"So I was really dizzy all the time," she recalled. "I felt weak, I felt tired. I couldn't get out of bed and then when it was eveningtime I couldn't fall asleep. But I was always lethargic."
Fratellone discovered she was anemic. But her problem went even deeper, originating in her intestinal tract.
"So not only the iron, but my vitamin D, my vitamin B, I wasn't absorbing anything I was eating or my supplements or vitamins," Dorota explained.
"I expected to be put on medication or additional supplements, I really didn't know, but Dr. Fratellone said it's as simple as a tea mixture," she said. "And when he first said it, I was maybe a little bit hesitant. I was like, 'How's this tea going to help me?'"
Within a month she felt better.
"My iron for the first time in 10 years is normal. And so is my vitamin D," she exclaimed. "So I know that whatever he gave me, it worked. And it's as simple and as easy as a tea."
Treating the Root
Fratellone says his priority is getting to the root cause of his patients' illnesses, not just treating the symptoms.
"I believe as an M.D. and an herbalist, that the gut is the gateway of all disease, so I want to heal the gut first," he explained.
"You might take gluten, dairy and let's say, corn, out of your diet. Unless you heal your gut, you're still going to have the symptoms," he said. "So the gut-healing tea contains slippery elm, marshmallow, meadowsweet, and raspberry."
He said cleavers, mullein, blue violet and lady's mantle are good teas for breast health and premenstrual syndrome.
"These are all teas for keeping the female side active and we make that as a tea," he continued. "I give that to some of my patients that are going into menopause to ease in with a nice, natural tea instead of taking a lot of things that are harmful."
WARNING: Consult the Expert First
Herbal teas can interact with conventional medicine, so before drinking them, people should check with their doctor or registered herbologist.
The growth of these natural treatments has led to a relatively new healthcare provider known as a naturopathic physician. They attend an accredited four-year program focusing on botanical medicine, food as medicine, and other natural remedies.
Nick Edgerton is a student at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine.
"I think there needs to be more marketing to realize this medicine is available," he said. "And that you don't have to jump on a statin or a blood pressure medication when you might be able to control it with some dietary changes and maybe the use of an herb, which is not that much different than a drug."
"(That) is why it's important, whether it's tea or herbal pills, that you do see a naturopath because you do need to have coordination of care with other medications as well," he said.
While naturopathic doctors practice in each state, they are only licensed on 19 states, with more on the way.
So for overall better health, include three cups of green tea to your daily diet. Research overwhelmingly concludes it's worth the effort.
For more specific health concerns, consult a registered herbologist or naturopathic doctor about a natural tea that could take the place of conventional pharmaceuticals.
