Standing in support of Israel, Jews, and believers in all the nations, in the name of Jesus (Yeshua). Sharing biblical truth, encouragement, news and prophecy.
A unique journey of discovering Jesus, the Jew, in today’s Israel is offered in a new book.
Bobbie Ann Cole, a Jew who found her Messiah in Jerusalem, turns tour guide as – with her pen in Love Triangles (Scrollchest.com) – she paints a fascinating picture of life in the Holy Land.
Surprised and overwhelmed by the worship at a ‘Christian’ congregation in the nation’s capital, Bobbie subsequently committed her life to Jesus and was discipled at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton, in London.
Her new-found faith so deepened her love for Israel that she made aliyah (immigrated to the Jewish state) with her new Canadian husband Butch. But in time they felt so uncomfortable and marginalised as Jews who followed Jesus that they retreated to their homes in the diaspora.
Bobbie takes issue with the Israeli community in general over why Messianic Jews are treated as lepers – persecuted just as they were in the first century – particularly in view of repeated claims of freedom of worship being sacrosanct in the only Middle East democracy.
Application forms for potential immigrants are now said to include ‘Messianic Judaism’ as an option to tick from a variety of branches of the faith. Although this appears to recognize Jewish believers in Jesus, it would seem instead to be a trap leading to rejection, she claims.
Though, at some 20,000, still representing a tiny proportion of Israel’s population, the worldwide Messianic movement has seen exponential growth in recent years with estimates ranging as high as 350,000, roughly the number of Jews living in the UK today.
On a positive note, however, Bobbie waxes lyrical about the beauty of the country and takes the reader on a guided tour to emphasize the Jewish roots of the Christian faith in light of the Tenach and how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament prophecies and Jewish feasts. She writes of how Christ can be traced throughout Scripture, even to Joseph interpreting the dreams of the baker and cupbearer – linking the baker, who was impaled on a pole, to Jesus’ crucifixion and the cupbearer, who was restored to his position, to the resurrection after the sharing of bread and wine at the Last Supper.
The author also demonstrates how an appreciation of the land and its history and culture throws new light on our understanding of Scripture and of Jesus himself, who walked the land in person 2,000 years ago and who comes alive in a deeper way as we retrace his steps from Bethlehem to Nazareth, Capernaum on the shores of Galilee and down to Jerusalem where he gave himself as the ultimate Passover Lamb before rising again and returning to his Father. And it is also the land to which he will return as the ‘Lion of the tribe of Judah’ (Revelation 5.5).
This is a challenging and inspiring book that will deepen your faith in Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, who came to save the world and bring peace to those who seek it.

“Yerushalayim, that art builded as a city that is compact together… For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.Pray for the peace of Yerushalayim; may they prosper that love thee.” Psalms 122:3-6 (The Israel Bible™)
Citing security concerns, US President Barack Obama vetoed for final time the law to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
In a memorandum to the Secretary of State John Kerry, Obama wrote:
Pursuant to the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 7(a) of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-45) (the “Act”), I hereby determine that it is necessary, in order to protect the national security interests of the United States, to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act.
You are authorized and directed to transmit this determination to the Congress, accompanied by a report in accordance withsection 7(a) of the Act, and to publish the determination in the Federal Register. This suspension shall take effect after transmission of this determination and report to the Congress.
This annual presidential custom dates back to 1995, when Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act, for the purposes of initiating and funding the relocation of the Embassy of the United States in Israel to Jerusalem, no later than May 31, 1999. The act also called for Jerusalem to remain an undivided city and for it to be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel. The law allowed the president to veto for security considerations. Every six months since the law passed, every US president has done so, preventing the move from taking place.
During a recent episode of his "Prophetic Perspectives" on MorningStar TV, prophetic voice Rick Joyner discussed a meeting he had with President-Elect Donald Trump during the presidential campaign.
Although the meeting only lasted about an hour, Joyner said he got a sense of who the president-elect is. The ultra-liberal Right Wing Watch group got hold of a clip of the episode (see above) in order to mock commentary.
The group is known for deceptively cutting off clips to change their contexts and create false impressions of what was said, but here is what Joyner says in it:
I've been with him for one hour, you know, in his office, and so I have a short relationship with him, but I have communicated with he and his campaign constantly throughout the campaign. He's very different than what the media portrayed him as being.
Trump is one of the kinder, gentler models from New York. The thing is he is tough as nails—and you have to be in his business—but he soft on the inside. We brought up to him if we kick all these illegal aliens out, we're going to bust up families, going to hurt families, and I saw the tears well up in his eyes.
He was about to bust out crying. He said, "We can't do that. We can't hurt the families. We've got to fix that." I was part of a team that was put together to work on how do we do this and not hurt families. That was one of his mandates; we've got to do this with compassion ...
He is an honest man. I think he's one of the most honest people I've met, because he tells you what he really thinks. There's no facades there, I mean he's not hiding anything. He's also one that I felt right away—I saw a remarkable fear of the Lord on him. It translates in things like his respect for clergy.
I mean he doesn't respect politicians, he doesn't respect a lot of people that he has to deal with in his business, and he's just not going to show respect to them. But his respect for clergy—he would become so humble before any man or woman of God—it was amazing. The last part of his campaign, he would—friends I know, who I know and trust, he prayed with them every day.
They didn't just pray for him, they prayed together every single day.
I know this. One of his main campaign managers got fired right after he found out this guy was cutting off these Christian leaders from being able to contact him. When he heard that, the guy was gone right away. So, that's the kind of help and hope he was seeking from Christians ...
I think if you look at the Disciples that Jesus chose, they were all Donald Trump. Every one of them were Donald Trumps. I mean they were some the edgiest, hardest, you know—they were—who else would have ever chosen any of them?

President-elect Donald Trump will turn the American economy around and transform the U.S. government, prophet Rick Joyner says.
"While accomplishing so much putting together such a quality team, and faster than any administration in recent history, he also had time to convince Ford and Carrier to keep their plants here, saving thousands of U.S. jobs even before taking office. He got more done over the Thanksgiving weekend than some presidents have in their first hundred days or longer," Joyner said in a Facebook post.
He continued: "Trump thinks like a leader, not a politician. He knows leadership, and he's picking a team based on competence, not political expediency and not even on loyalty. He obviously values loyalty very highly, but he rightly does not let it trump (no pun intended) competence. He is obviously intent on getting the best people for every position to do the best job for the country. With the momentum so great this fast we could very well be witnessing the beginning of the biggest transformation in government ever achieved. We could also see the greatest release of the U.S. economy.
"And this is just the warm-up—the game has not yet even started. Of course it is not realistic to think there will not be setbacks and challenges, but what has happened in just the last three weeks is most encouraging. It seems that this team could steamroll barriers that have stopped many others."
Bloomberghas three suggestions for the Trump administration to ensure an economic boom:
1. Keep it simple.
"The government should take advantage of its low borrowing costs by doing more of the spending itself, especially on unglamorous tasks (such as road repair and improvement) that can be started quickly and offer good returns to taxpayers."
2. Be prudent.
"Trump must set out and stick to a clear fiscal-stimulus plan—one that explains how the U.S. will control its budget deficits in the longer run. In effect, proposals to broaden the tax base and/or restrain spending on entitlement programs have to be part of any credible infrastructure plan."
3. Be accountable.
"Trump's plan should meet at least the same standard of (the 2008 stimulus package) transparency. Otherwise, corruption and cronyism will make it less effective and undermine future support for smart fiscal policy."

You probably didn't hear of it, but it could have caused an international incident, and it was a major sign of the times.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn and over 400 other believers were thrown off the Temple Mount a week before Thanksgiving for a shocking reason: mentioning the word "temple."
The Temple Mount is the center of Jerusalem, the center of Israel, the center of the world. It's the center of the center of the center—biblically, historically, and prophetically. In the Bible, it was the site of God's House, the place where His glory rested. In the kingdom of God, it will be the place of His throne, from where Messiah will reign.
That, says Cahn, author of The Book of Mysteries and The Harbinger, makes it the center of warfare, the most contested ground on earth, physically and spiritually. In that context, the sudden eviction is not all that surprising.
"The Temple Mount is the most sacred site in the Bible and to Jewish people. But centuries after the destruction of the Temple, the Muslims invaded the land, took the Temple Mount, and built on it the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Among other things, these were acts of defiance, as if to say to the Jewish people, and believers in the Bible, there will never be a Temple again," Cahn told me.
"Spiritually we know that the powers of darkness will always seek to stop and preempt the purposes of God. So it is written in Ezekiel that the enemy says to Israel, your high places are our possession," he continued. "The highest of high places in Israel is the Temple Mount and it remains in the possession of Israel's enemies."
Here's a little history worth noting: When Israel won the Six Day War and regained Jerusalem and the Temple Mount, the decision was made to allow the Muslim authorities to retain control over the Temple Mount. Though Israel oversees the mount, its daily running was entrusted to the Muslims.
"The Temple Mount is so highly charged and so much the center of conflict, that more than once it has been the site from which international conflicts have begun," Cahn says. "When Ariel Sharon visited the mount, it sparked an Intifada, a Palestinian uprising against Israel. Another incident on the Temple Mount became the subject of United Nations Intervention in 2015, on Elul 29, the peak day of the Shemitah, another battle began on the Temple Mount."
To go up on the Temple Mount is for most people a tense experience. The Muslim authorities typically reprimand visitors, warning them not to carry a Bible, not to pray, not even to hold hands. Charisma News has reported on believers being harassed there over the past year.
Cahn was going up to the Temple Mount with over 400 like-minded believers.
"We made our way past the Dome of the Rock to the open area just to the north of it, by the Dome of the Spirits. There, our different groups gathered together. As I spoke, one of the Muslim authorities came in back of me, listening to my words. I spoke of how the Temple once stood on the mount but was destroyed by Roman armies in 70 A.D. on the Hebrew Ninth of Av," Cahn said.
"I then shared how throughout Jewish history, calamity after calamity has taken place on that same day. It's actually one of the mysteries from The Book of Mysteries. I then shared how the birth of America actually begins with the same ancient mystery and day. I then began to speak of the connection between the Temple Mount and Eden. The Muslim authority pulled me aside—as hundreds looked on, some praying.
"Others of the Muslim authorities began to converge around me. They told me I had committed a major transgression: I had spoken of the Temple on the Temple Mount! They said that the Temple Mount is a Muslim holy site. They deny that there was ever a Temple on the Temple Mount. Our Israeli tour guides, along with Joseph Farah of WND, now also converged.
"The situation now grew even more tense. It went on for several minutes. Then they told me and the group to leave the Temple Mount immediately. One of our guides informed me he could have called the Israeli authorities. I decided it best to avoid causing an international incident. I went back to the group and told them that what was happening now was exactly what I had spoken of earlier, the warfare over the mount.
"So now hundreds of people were ejected from the mount through a side entrance that led us to the Pools of Bethesda where we reconvened and I shared with the group. It was noteworthy, since the Pools of Bethesda happened to be the very next place we were scheduled to go to. We initially weren't sure that we had time for it, but since the Muslim authorities kicked us off the mount through that entrance, it took us through a shortcut to the very place we had hoped to go to in the first place. So by kicking us off, the Muslim authorities actually escorted us to the next holy place and enabled us to fulfill the itinerary we would not have otherwise been able to fulfill. A principle, in God, that applies not only to the Temple Mount and the itinerary of a pilgrimage, but to all of our lives – that which comes against the will of God, will, in the end, end up bringing it to pass."
Word spread of the incident throughout the Muslim community. Contacts inside the Muslim community later informed Cahn and the believers with him that when the Muslim authorities saw a rabbi (Cahn) going up to the Temple Mount, and leading a group of others, they gave instructions to follow him and get something from his lips by which they could throw him and the others off the mount.
"The following day, we went up the Temple Mount by another way, the ancient Temple steps. When I reached the top, I turned around to the people below, put on the tallit, the prayer shawl, and gave the blessing of God, from Numbers 6, in Hebrew and English, the blessings my ancestors would have given from that same place," Cahn said. "As I did, the onlookers could see Muslims looking out from the windows on the Temple Mount shouting down at us in anger. As I gave the blessing, loudspeakers began blasting Islamic chants in Arabic. As it wasn't the appointed time for the Islamic chants to be broadcast, any, including some of the Israeli tour guides, believed that the blasting of the Arabic chanting was done out the Hebrew blessing I was giving from the steps. In either case, the sense of spiritual warfare was palpable. The words of the Koran blasting through the loudspeakers on one hand, and the ancient Aaronic Blessing given by God in the Torah, on the other. The blasting of the loudspeakers didn't cause me to stop or pause in the giving of the blessing, but rather to proclaim it more strongly. In the end, nothing stops the purposes or the blessings of God."

While Israel is still trying to assess the damage caused by hundreds of fires across the country, testimonies of people whose lives were spared begin to surface.
Yated Ne'eman, the daily newspaper of the Israeli-Lithuanian ultra-Orthodox school, has published in its November 29 issue a special article highlighting what it sees as God's providence in protecting people in miraculous ways. Not surprisingly, Yated Ne'emanbrings the stories of members of the religious community who went through the fire.
Rabbi Moshe Adler, CEO of United Hatzalah of Haifa (an Orthodox Jewish "Red Cross" equivalent), who worked alongside the firefighters, said that nothing of what happened should be taken for granted. "There were obvious miracles here," he said. "People were experiencing miracles amid great tribulation. We should recognize it and give thanks to God. We have seen God's providence with our own eyes."
Jews, by the way, are commanded to proclaim God's miracles, as it is said, "give praise to the Lord … tell of all his wonderful acts." This is why during the coming feast of Hanukkah people walking through religious neighborhoods will be able to note the burning candles of the Menorah placed by the windows to proclaim the miracle of the Temple's rededication at the time of the Maccabees.
Rabbi Rosenberg recalls his mother-in-law's miracle. "The whole apartment was completely burnt," he said, "except one thing – the Menorah." A paramedic of United Hatzalah told Yated Ne'eman how he had to use a garden hose to contain the fire. "This was an obvious miracle," he said, "that our building didn't burn … it was divine providence. There is no other way to explain it. It wasn't in the natural power of the garden hose to contain the fire."
These and other similar stories brought the newspaper to conclude that "these tribulations did not happen by chance, rather it was a warning from heaven for the people on earth, that they may repent."

Democratic and Republican lawmakers are vowing to challenge a limit on U.S. defense aid for Israel that President Barack Obama included in the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the two nations.
The agreement—reached in September—guarantees Israel $38 billion in aid over 10 years, but it also states that if Congress increases the aid, Israel is obliged to return the extra funds. U.S. Reps. Paul Gosar (R-Texas), Randy Weber (R-Ariz.), and Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said Tuesday at Agudath Israel of America's annual legislative luncheon in New York City that the restriction is "unconstitutional" because it would interfere with the ability of Congress to fulfill its mandate as a co-equal branch of the federal government. Engel vowed to "fight every step of the way" to bring about the revocation of the aid limit.
U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), speaking at the same event, said that the aid restriction "conflicts with the Constitution in spirit if not in letter" because Congress "has a right to respond to emergency situations, and we will not give up that right." As an example, Jeffries said that if Israel is attacked, it might require extra aid to defend itself. Congress, he said, should be able to take action in such circumstances.
More Jewish Democrats oppose Ellison
Another topic addressed by several of the speakers at the luncheon was the bid by Minnesota's U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison for the chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). A number of Jewish leaders have expressed concern that Ellison would turn the Democratic Party away from Israel. Speaking with jns.org at the Agudath Israel event, two more Jewish Democratic officeholders stated their opposition to Ellison's candidacy.
The Minnesota lawmaker has come under fire for his past association with Nation of Islam movement leader Louis Farrakhan, publicly claiming in 1995 that Farrakhan "is not an anti-Semite." Additionally, Ellison has urged increased U.S. pressure on Israel and has voted against funding Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system.
New York's Rep. Engel, the ranking Democratic member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told jns.org that he opposes Ellison's candidacy because "we need a full-time chairman for the DNC, not a member of Congress who would only be able to devote part of his time to the job." Asked whether his opposition to Ellison is also based on Ellison's record concerning Israel, Engel replied, "My positions on Israel are well-known; my focus is on having a full-time chair for the party."
New York State Assemblyman David Weprin (D-Queens) said that he too opposes Ellison's bid "because of the importance of having someone who can devote himself full-time to rebuilding the Democratic Party." Weprin said he is "aware of the statements about Israel that have been attributed to Ellison, and if they are accurate, that would be a cause for concern."
Weprin added that he is "troubled by the positions that [2016 presidential candidate] Sen. Bernie Sanders took on Israel, and I know that Sanders nominated Congressman Ellison to the Democratic convention resolutions committee in order to try to get those positions in the platform."
The statements by Engel and Weprin against Ellison's possible party chairmanship echo the sentiments of New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn), who toldjns.org earlier this month that "if Israel has to depend on support from the Ellisons of the world, it would be in serious trouble."
FBI Official: Palestinian Terror Tactics Adopted in U.S. Attacks
William Sweeney Jr., assistant director of the FBI's New York Division, said at the luncheon that the Palestinian terrorist tactic of "grabbing whatever you can to carry out an attack, whether a bulldozer or a kitchen knife" is being adopted by terrorists within the U.S.
Citing the attack at the Ohio State University campus this week by a Somali Muslim, Sweeney said that attacks by "homegrown violent extremists" are "simpler, aimed at more diverse targets, and carried out by younger attackers."
Sweeney said that the threat of terrorism on American soil "has become more serious in the past year, with some of the attacks being carried out by teenagers, who often are not in contact with terrorists overseas, unlike during previous periods."
