Greetings LoveMusic! fans!

If you know Paul Wilbur, Barry and Batya Segal, Paul Wilbur, and Joel Chernoff, I am sure you also know Marty Goetz!

Marty is another one of my favorite Messianic Jewish singers and songwriters. He is a great pianist which beautifully accomplishes his mellow voice. This song, He Is My Defense, was a popular song at Messianic and Christian conferences over the past decade. It is still sung often today with much celebration and dance.

Listen as he beautifully sings of Yeshua's love and goodness, and gets the participants dancing!

About Marty Goetz

Marty Goetz has been called a modern day psalmist. His songs are scriptures beautifully set to music, leaving listeners spiritually moved, inspired and educated. With melodic and fresh acoustical/classic arrangements, Marty Goetz has the ability to lead you into a place of true intimacy with God.

In 1965, when thirteen year-old MARTY GOETZ stood at the bimah of Cleveland's Temple on the Heights for his Bar-mitzvah and solemnly sang the ancient words of the Torah, no one -- least of all Marty -- could have envisioned that some twenty years later he would be singing to God, this time as a featured performer at Billy Graham's Rally in Central Park.

As half of 'Bert & Marty', he sang at clubs and dinner theaters around Pittsburgh while studying English at Carnegie Mellon University. There was even a non-singing guest appearance on 'Mister Rogers' as Smokey Bear.

After graduation, he and Bert set out for New York City, determined, as Marty remembers, 'to give it two weeks to become a star or I'd go back to Cleveland and the family furniture business.' Just one week later, Marty and Bert found themselves performing at hotels in the Catskill Mountains. At the end of the summer they were named 'Best New Act of 1974'.

Then Bert found Jesus. Horrified at his partner's born again experience, Marty broke up the act and returned to New York City. He worked steadily as a songwriter and cabaret entertainer until 1978, when he shifted his ambitions from Broadway to Pop and moved to Los Angeles.

Provoked by the increasing numbers of born-agains in his life, he began reading the Bible, 'looking for loopholes'. A few short weeks later, sitting alone one night on a friend's balcony, looking down on the lights of Sunset Boulevard, he realized with certainty that 'the Jesus of the New Testament was the Messiah my people have been longing for'.

Within a year, Marty began performing with Debby Boone and soon began to establish himself as a strong and passionate voice for Messianic believers within the church.

He has ministered before congregations as diverse as Jack Hayford's Church on the Way, Greg Laurie's Harvest Christian Fellowship and Harvest Crusades, Coral Gables Presbyterian, Chicago's Moody Church, David Wilkerson's Times Square Church. Ministries such as Focus on the Family, Insight For Living, TBN, Promise Keepers, Billy Graham Training Center/The Cove and CBN have invited Marty to come and share his musical gifts and talents.

Marty has been recording music steadily since 1985, and today lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Jennifer. They recently celebrated the marriage of their one and only daughter, Misha Goetz to Joshua Hoyt. A wonderful young man!

Website  |  About Us  |  Music  |  Yeshua Project  |  Living Stones  |  Contact Us Click above to see photos Shalom dear Friends and Prayer Partners, Thank you all for praying for our precious daughter-in-law Shayla's citizenship.  We were due to go to a higher court in Jerusalem but the night before the court date, the Ministry of Interior, MOI, cancelled the meeting! Since we were in Jerusalem with our sons and their families anyway, we consulted our attorney, Michael Decker, who told us that "within 21 days the MOI will notify us regarding citizenship revocation proceedings".  So we've learned the real motive behind all these delays is to try and revoke my (Carolyn's) citizenship.  They say that I made Aliyah (immigrated) under "false pretenses" by declaring that I'm a Jew.   Of course, I am a Jew.  Apostle Paul said he was a "Hebrew of the Hebrews," and so am I.  Both Paul and I happen to follow the Messiah Yeshua.  If I followed buddha or some other idol, the MOI would have no problem with me, but to follow Yeshua?  Suddenly they declare I'm "not Jewish" anymore.  So this is the bottom line for them: you can believe in anything except the Way, the Truth and the Life and still be Jewish! When we asked Michael if the real reason behind all of this persecution is because of our outreaches, he said most likely yes.  We must add that there is something good about persecution - it strengthens your faith and resolve to stand for the truth.  We are sharing this NOT so you'll hate the ultra-Orthodox.  Please don't hate them, but pray for those who persecute us and ask G-d for a road to Damascus experience for the Shas Party, who control the MOI.   "Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Messiah Yeshua will be persecuted."  2 Tim 3:12 A Living Testimony  After visiting a young man he had led to the L-rd the week before,  our son Ariel was ready to go home and enjoy Shabbat with his family.  However, the L-rd told him to continue to walk down the beach.  Soon he came to a deserted area where  he saw a young woman sitting on the beach.  She turned to Ariel and asked him what time it was.  Ariel took this as a sign that she was the one the L-rd wanted him to minister to.  He sat with her and after hearing the Good News and the hope that Yeshua brings, she prayed to receive Him!  Then she said, "I made a terrible mistake."  She explained that she'd just taken 120 pills to leave this life of single parenthood and abuse but now she wanted to live - and then she passed out!  So Ariel quickly called an ambulance.  He texted us, saying only that he was in an ambulance and to pray for him.  Yikes!  The doctors couldn't believe she survived and were astounded.  The next morning after Shabbat services, Richard and I picked up groceries and followed Ariel and family to visit Amaliyah, who miraculously was discharged from the hospital that morning!  We were cautiously welcomed into her Muslim Bedouin village as they couldn't figure out what we were doing there.  You see, Amaliyah didn't tell her parents what happened and asked us to explain.  So Ariel told the story to her father, who was clearly the patriarch of the family.  He was near tears when he realized that Ariel saved her life.   After sharing the Gospel with the father, Ariel asked if we could pray for him.  He had a significant pain in his back, which the L-rd healed miraculously.  Of course, after he was healed he gathered his whole family around so we could pray for all of them.  Next his wife entered and soon all the aunts and cousins arrived and many were prayed for and received healings and even words of knowledge! Then they insisted on serving us a Bedouin feast afterwards - beautiful people!  Please pray that they will all follow Yeshua.  An Arabic speaking pastor is following up with them... Wow, Saints! This word was a timely article along with the others we've posted over the past few days. I hope you all take a moment to read through this and hear God for yourself in what Michael Van Vlymen shares in this latest article.

God is on the move...moving people into their destinies. Many have just felt like they were in a "holding pattern" as Michael shares here:

Many people have said that they feel like they are in a holding pattern. They know God wants to use them and He has given them confirmations again and again, but they are not yet moving. The Lord said that the blue sparkles spoke of the things of Heaven and being heavenly-minded—seeing and doing from Heaven's perspective and being prepared in that. The jet being motionless speaks of the fact that we really have been launched, yet the lack of movement in or into our calling looks and feels unnatural and abnormal. We feel like we should be moving.

God is Showing Us Signs and Wonders!

We are in a time where God is revealing Himself in powerful ways to confirm the things He has promised us and to direct us with a supernatural precision. In just listening to some of the testimonies of the prophetic voices lately, you'll see that the signs and wonders they share show that we have a supernatural God. These testimonies are only increasing.

Every day "regular" Christians are experiencing incredible things in this hour that tell me there is increase coming on many levels. I have felt it for awhile now that the Lord is getting ready to launch people into their callings and destinies. It's going to be powerful and it's going to be supernatural.

"I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke." (Acts 2:19 NIV)

Our Walk With Him

This week, the Lord spoke to my wife Gordana and me, and gave us a word for those who are in a season of waiting for that launching to take place. Last Sunday as we were driving to church, Gordana said, "What Scripture would you like me to read?" I replied, "Whatever the Lord shows you." As she turned through the New Testament, she got to the book of James, chapters 2- 4. When she opened to those chapters, her Bible was suddenly covered with brilliant blue sparkles. We couldn't help but believe that the Lord wanted us to read those Scriptures. As she read those chapters, I felt the Lord was telling us the importance of our walk with Him.

"And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God." (James 2:23 KJV)

We should believe God in the promises He has given us, just as Abraham believed. Our walk should be Christ-like, showing mercy and love and living with godly humility as we seek to do His will on the earth.

"But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." (James 4:6 KJV)

Walking in Power

I felt that God was saying through these Scriptures that He is fine-tuning His people to walk in power but there are adjustments to be made in us so we can carry that power. Although the Lord told us many things from those chapters, the overwhelming message was that we are in final preparation where God is bringing a greater level of sanctification so that we might be launched into the plan the Lord has for us.

About twenty minutes after Gordana read those Scriptures, we just worshipped God for making it so clear. By His willingness to use signs and wonders to really get our attention, we again experienced something totally off the charts. As we drove along on an almost deserted street on our way to church, Gordana shouted to me, "Look at that plane!" When I turned to look, quite frankly, I was stunned at what I saw.

I have seen many strange things these past few years but this really challenged me. There, hanging in mid-air motionless, was a passenger jet probably no more than 300-500 yards away from us. My first reaction was to try to reason and come up with a natural explanation. I could not find one. 

A jet, in a banked turn, was hanging in the air like a picture hung on a wall and we were both seeing this as clear as day. The jet remained motionless for about 15-20 seconds as we sat there in the middle of the street looking. Then it just took off. I pondered this for several hours and the Lord then showed me that the earlier sign in the Bible and this sign in the heavens were related.

We feel like we should be moving.

The fact that the jet was only motionless for a very short time told me that this season of waiting will be very short and then we will be released to go, even as we have desired to go...and some are going eve now! This day of signs and wonders not only spoke to us but was the Lord's confirmation for those who are in that season that feel like a "holding pattern." This word is for you.

Believe God, stay in faith and get ready to be launched!
