The Best for Our Children ✡ "Get A Wife For My Son Yitzchak" - Israel365

Go to the land of my birth and get a wife
for my son Yitzchak.

אֶל־אַרְצִי וְאֶל־מוֹלַדְתִּי תֵּלֵךְ וְלָקַחְתָּ אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי לְיִצְחָק

בראשית כד:ד
el ar-TZEE ve-EL mo-la-de-TEE te-LEKH ve-la-kakh-ta EE-sha lee-vnee l'-yitz-KHAK

Today's Israel Inspiration

In the above verse, Abraham focuses his attention on finding a wife for his son Isaac. Knowing that Isaac is destined to be his spiritual heir, Abraham is aware that not just any woman will do as Isaac's wife. For spiritual reasons, Isaac can not leave the Land of Israel even for the purpose of finding a spouse. Therefore, Abraham charges his trusty servant Eliezer with selecting a worthy wife for Isaac from among Abraham's family back in Aram-naharaim. It is only natural  for parents to want the best for this children, especially if their child has undergone some form of trauma. The Shiloh Israel Children's Fund works closely with parents and children who have undergone traumatic experiences in order to provide rehabilitation and healing therapies. Thanks to this amazing organization, parents in the Biblical heartland of Israel can rest assured knowing that their children are receiving the best care available.

Are Israelis Settlers?

In this video we asked Israelis that live in the Judea & Samaria if they considered themselves settlers. This is what they had to say.

Natural Artisan Soaps

Hashem singled out seven species of fruit and grain native to the Land of Israel as being particularly blessed. Each one of those species has been incorporated into one of these deliciously scented natural soaps.

How Fast, Fake and Processed Foods are Killing Us

From the No. 1 New York Times best-selling author of Eat to Live and The End of Diabetes, comes an unflinching, provocative exploration of how our food is killing us and the ways in which we are unwitting participants in an unprecedented and exploding health crisis.
It's called Fast Food Genocide: How Processed Food is Killing Us and What We Can Do About It, by nutrition expert Joel Fuhrman, M.D.
Fast food is far more than just the burgers, fries and burritos served at chain restaurants; it is also the toxic, human-engineered products found in every grocery store across America. These include cold breakfast cereals; commercial and preserved (deli) meats and cheeses; sandwich breads and buns; chips, pretzels and crackers; fried foods; energy bars and soft drinks.
Fast foods have become the primary source of calories in the United States and consequently the most far-reaching and destructive influence on our population. The indisputable truth is that our highly processed diet is the source of a national health crisis that is exploding into a genocide with unseen tragic implications.
Heart attacks, strokes, cancer, obesity, ADHD, autism, allergies and autoimmune diseases all have the same root cause—our addiction to toxic ingredients. New York Times best-selling author, board-certified physician, nutritional researcher and leading voice in the health field Joel Fuhrman, M.D., explains why the problem of poor nutrition is deeper, more serious and more pervasive than anyone imagined.
Fast Food Genocide draws on 25 years of clinical experience and research to confront our fundamental beliefs about the impact of what we eat.
This book identifies issues at the heart of our country's most urgent problems. Fast food kills, but it also perpetuates bigotry and derails the American dream of equal opportunity and happiness for all. It leaves behind a wake of destruction, creating millions of medically dependent and sickly people burdened with poor-quality lives.
The solution hiding in plain sight—a nutrient-dense healthful diet—can save lives and enable humans to reach their intellectual potential and achieve successful and fulfilling lives. Dr. Fuhrman offers a life-changing, scientifically sound approach that can alter American history and perhaps save your life in the process.

Natalie Portman Wins 'Jewish Nobel' Prize - Israel Today

Natalie Portman Wins 'Jewish Nobel' Prize

Wednesday, November 08, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Hollywood A-lister Natalie Portman has been awarded the 2018 Genesis Prize, commonly referred to as the "Jewish Nobel."
The Genesis Prize is awarded to those who serve as an inspiration to the next generation of Jews through their outstanding professional achievement, commitment to Jewish values and to the Jewish people.
Past winners include violinist Itzhak Perlman, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and actor Michael Douglas.
The award comes with a $1 million prize, which Portman reportedly intends to put toward projects advancing women's equality.
While far more liberal than the average Israeli voter, Portman has long been a favorite in the Jewish state.
She was born in Israel before moving to America at a young age. She began acting at the age of 12, and quickly became a Hollywood heavyweight.
Much of liberal Hollywood has often been hostile toward Israel, but Portman has unabashedly maintained fairly pro-Israel credentials, visiting the country often.
In a statement released after winning the award, Portman stressed that she is "proud of my Israeli roots and Jewish heritage."
The actual award ceremony will take place in June 2018.
