Mike Evans Says David Wilkerson’s Prophecy of a ‘Plague Coming to New York’ Is Being Fulfilled Before Our Eyes – Steve Strang

Mike Evans Says David Wilkerson’s Prophecy of a ‘Plague Coming to New York’ Is Being Fulfilled Before Our Eyes – Steve Strang

Is David Wilkerson’s Prophecy of a ‘Plague Coming to New York’ Being Fulfilled?

I recently spoke with Mike Evans, who shared a word with me that was absolutely powerful. He says that when he picked up his Bible one day, a handwritten note from the late evangelist David Wilkerson fell out. The message it contained shook Mike to his knees.
The note was from a meeting he had with Wilkerson—or Brother Dave, as Mike calls him—at the Embassy Suites near the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in 1986. The letter was to Rev. Richard Dortch, who ran PTL under Jim Bakker.
Mike read the letter aloud on my podcast. It said: “Within 12 months from the date of this letter, the judgment of God will fall on PTL. You are fornicating with brick and stone. Flee now and repent. Bats will fly through the empty building.”
Exactly a year later, the Charlotte Observer broke the PTL scandal that involved Jim Bakker. (He has since repented and been restored.)
But that wasn’t the only prophetic word Wilkerson gave. He also said: “I see a plague coming on the world, and the bars and churches and government will shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayerless believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world.”
You can click here to request to read the full message.
But how could something so terrible lead to an awakening of that magnitude? Mike says this is how God often works. If you look at the first two Great Awakenings, they came around times of hardship.
“The two Great Awakenings that America has [had that shook] the entire nation happened around the time of the American Revolution and the Civil War,” he says. “… The pilgrims came to this country on fire for God, but their children didn’t. Their children became cold in their souls. And America started pushing away. And then all of a sudden, here comes this manifested Great Awakening that shook the nation. And then you had the American Revolution. You had another one, and you had the Civil War. And I thought, Wow[Wilkerson] said there’s going to be a third Great Awakening.”
Could it be that this COVID-19 pandemic we’re experiencing is the trial that will usher in the next Great Awakening?
Mike says for that awakening to happen, God needs to uproot idols from this nation.
“People have taken and allowed things to become their idols; money and materialism has become an idol of their success and the reputation has become an idol,” he says.
Even Trump has become an idol for some Christians, Mike points out. All this must go. God demands our whole hearts and nothing less.
“I think that God is shaking us because He’s taken all of our security away,” he says. “All the things that [made us] comfortable [have] been removed.”
Make sure you listen to my full interview with Mike Evans. What he shares is powerful and, if believers truly listen to his message, I believe we could see another massive awakening in our country. Today, as you celebrate Good Friday, may your heart rid itself of every idol so you can make way for the glories to come.

The Left Still Can't Believe Chick-fil-A's Popularity in New York City - CBN News Steve Warren and Drew Parkhill

The Left Still Can't Believe Chick-fil-A's Popularity in New York City
04-14-2018
Many on the Left continue their attack against the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain's takeover of New Yorker's taste buds. They simply can't believe that a company that prides itself in its Christian values is popular in the Big Apple.

Case in point is Dan Piepenbring's recent article in The New Yorker Magazine. Piepenbring examines how New Yorkers have taken to Chick-Fil-A and its signature sandwich.  So much so, that the day he visited the new five-story location in lower Manhattan, the line of customers waiting for food stretched around the block.

However, Piepenbring writes, the company, founded by S. Truett Cathy, feels like an infiltration because of its "pervasive Christian traditionalism."  He points to the company's stand for traditional marriage (which liberals consider anti-gay), and how in 2016, Mayor Bill de Blasio proposed a boycott.

As CBN News reported, that boycott backfired on the mayor -- the man whose job it is to encourage new business in the city.
Piepenbring writes that "proselytism thrums below the surface of the Fulton Street restaurant, which has the ersatz homespun ambiance of a megachurch."

He also suggests that Chick-fil-A's emphasis on the local community, which is one of the company standards at all of its retail locations, has an ulterior motive. And he's critical of what David Farmer, Chick-fil-A's vice-president of restaurant experience, recently told Buzzfeed about how they try to have a "pit crew efficiency, but where you feel like you just got hugged in the process.".

Piepenbring also points out that the chain's popular ad campaign showing cows saying "EAT MOR CHIKIN," in everywhere in the city. He writes that "The joke is that the Cows are out of place in New York- a winking acknowledgment that Chick-fil-A, too, does not quite belong here."

Piepenbring concludes by saying "there's something especially distasteful about what Chick-fil-A is doing" - and he encourages New Yorkers to simply say "NO MOR."
It seems, however, that multitudes of New Yorkers clearly don't agree.

Natalie Portman Wins 'Jewish Nobel' Prize - Israel Today

Natalie Portman Wins 'Jewish Nobel' Prize

Wednesday, November 08, 2017 |  Israel Today Staff
Hollywood A-lister Natalie Portman has been awarded the 2018 Genesis Prize, commonly referred to as the "Jewish Nobel."
The Genesis Prize is awarded to those who serve as an inspiration to the next generation of Jews through their outstanding professional achievement, commitment to Jewish values and to the Jewish people.
Past winners include violinist Itzhak Perlman, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and actor Michael Douglas.
The award comes with a $1 million prize, which Portman reportedly intends to put toward projects advancing women's equality.
While far more liberal than the average Israeli voter, Portman has long been a favorite in the Jewish state.
She was born in Israel before moving to America at a young age. She began acting at the age of 12, and quickly became a Hollywood heavyweight.
Much of liberal Hollywood has often been hostile toward Israel, but Portman has unabashedly maintained fairly pro-Israel credentials, visiting the country often.
In a statement released after winning the award, Portman stressed that she is "proud of my Israeli roots and Jewish heritage."
The actual award ceremony will take place in June 2018.

Joel C. Rosenberg - The ghastly attacks of 9/11 were not a failure of intelligence but of imagination. (Some personal reflections on that fateful day.)

Sept11-3

New post on Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog

The ghastly attacks of 9/11 were not a failure of intelligence but of imagination. (Some personal reflections on that fateful day.)

by joelcrosenberg
"The most important failure was one of imagination. We do not believe leaders understood the gravity of the threat." -- The 9/11 Commission Report, Executive Summary, page 9.
(Jerusalem, Israel) -- Few will ever forget what they were doing on September 11th, 2001, when they first heard the news that the United States was under attack by radical Islamic jihadists using jet planes on kamikaze missions. I certainly never will.
On that beautiful, sunny, crystal clear Tuesday morning, I was putting the finishing touches on my first novel, a political thriller called The Last Jihad. It opens with radical Islamic terrorists hijacking a jet plane and flying an attack mission into an American city. What’s more, I was writing the book in a townhouse barely fifteen minutes away from Washington Dulles Airport, where at that very moment American Airlines Flight 77 was being seized and flown right over our home towards the Pentagon.
At the time, I had no idea anything unusual was underway. I had begun writing Jihad in January 2001. A literary agent in Manhattan had read the first three chapters that spring. He was convinced that he could get it published, and urged me to finish it as quickly as possible. I took the advice seriously, working feverishly to get the book done before my savings account ran dry.
As had become my morning ritual, I had breakfast with my wife, Lynn, and our kids, threw on jeans and a t-shirt, and settled down to work on one of the novel’s last chapters. I didn’t have radio or television on. I was simply typing away on my laptop when, about an hour later, Lynn burst into the house and said, “You will not believe what’s going on.” She quickly explained that after dropping off two of our kids at school she had turned on the radio and heard that the World Trade Center had been hit by two planes. We immediately turned the television on and saw the horror begin to unfold for ourselves. We saw the smoke pouring out of the North Tower. We saw the constant replays of United Airlines Flight 175 plowing into the South Tower, and erupting into massive ball of fire. And then, before we could fully process it all, we saw the World Trade Center towers begin to collapse.
Wherever I speak around the world, people ask me what my first reaction was, but I don’t recall thinking that my novel was coming true. I simply remember the feeling of shock. I remember calling friends at the White House and on Capitol Hill, and my agent, Scott Miller, in New York, hoping for word that they were safe but unable to get through, with so many phone lines jammed.
I remember Lynn and I getting our boys back from school and the friends who came over to spend the day with us. We tracked events on television, emailed other family and friends around the country and around the world with updates from Washington, and prayed for those directly affected by the crisis, and for our President to have the wisdom to know what to do next. Were more attacks coming? Would there be a 9/12, a 9/13, a 9/14? Would there be a series of terrorist attacks, one after another, as Israel had experienced for so many years?
It was not until some time in late November or early December when events began to settle down enough for my thoughts to turn back to The Last Jihad. What was I supposed to do with it? No one wanted to read a novel that opened with a kamikaze attack against an American city. It was no longer entertainment. It was too raw, too real. So I stuck it in a drawer and tried to forget about it.
But then something curious happened. Lynn and I were watching the State of the Union address in January of 2002 when President Bush delivered his now-famous “axis of evil” line, warning all Americans that the next war we might have to face could be with Saddam Hussein over terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
Lynn and I just looked at each other. It was one thing to write a novel that opened with a kamikaze attack against America by radical Islamic terrorists. It was another thing to write a novel in which such an event triggers a global War on Terror and then leads the President of the United States and his senior advisors into a showdown with Saddam Hussein over terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. But that’s exactly what happens in the novel.
Scott Miller called me the next day.
“Do you work for the CIA?” he asked.
“No, of course not,” I assured him.
“Sure, sure,” he replied. “That’s what you’d have to say if you did work for the CIA and just couldn’t tell me.”
Scott believed that the dynamic had just changed dramatically and that publishers would now be very interested in The Last Jihad. The country had largely recovered from the initial shock of the 9/11 attacks. We were now on offense against the Taliban in Afghanistan. People were reading everything they could get their hands on regarding the threat of radical Islam. And there were simply no other novels in print or on the horizon that could take readers inside the Oval Office and White House Situation Room as an American President and his war council wrestled over the morality of launching a preemptive war against the regime of Saddam Hussein. As such, he wanted to move quickly.
Jihad needed a few tweaks – acknowledging, for example, that 9/11 had happened and thus setting my fictional story a few years into the future – but other than that it was essentially ready to go. A publisher quickly agreed to take a risk on this unknown author and give the book a chance to find an audience. The Last Jihad was rushed through the publishing process and released on November 23, 2002, just as the international debate over Iraq, terrorism and WMD reached a fevered pitch.
The novel caught fire immediately. Jihad sold out in many stores in less than twenty-four hours and prompted nine re-printings before Christmas. In less than sixty days, I was interviewed on more than one hundred and sixty radio and TV talk shows. The questions were as much about the novel itself as about the story behind the novel. How could I possibly have written a book that seemed to foreshadow coming events so closely? Was it a fluke? Did I get lucky? Or was there something else going on? More importantly, what did I think was coming next?
As you will see if you read the novel, there are a number of significant differences between my fictional scenario and what really happened. But people kept asking me about the striking parallels to real life. During such interviews, I tried to focus people on the bigger picture, summing up the theme of the novel with this line: “To misunderstand the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it.”
The truth is, America was blindsided on 9/11 by an evil few saw coming. What’s more, those attacks were just the beginning of a long war against the forces of radical Islam, and more recently against the forces of apocalyptic Islam. The most important issue we face in the post-9/11 world is whether we have learned anything as a result of that terrible Tuesday. Do we truly understand that the forces of evil are preparing to strike us again when we least expect it? Can we truly imagine what our enemies are capable of? Are we willing to take any actions necessary to defend Western civilization from extinction? Or are we going to elevate peace over victory, retreat from the world, and simply hope for the best?
It has now been sixteen years since that horrifying Tuesday, and almost fifteen years since The Last Jihad was first published. I have written eleven more novels, most of them about worst case scenarios that could occur in the U.S. and the Middle East if Western leaders are blindsided by evil they don’t truly understand. Together, these books have sold millions of copies and have spent months on the national best-seller lists.
Such broad interest is, I believe, an indication of the anxious times in which we live. While we no longer face Saddam Hussein, now we face an apocalyptic Iranian regime, a genocidal ISIS caliphate, North Korea testing hydrogen bombs and ICBMs, and Vladimir Putin -- a nuclear-armed tyrant -- invading neighbors, arming our worst enemies, and jailing and "disappearing" journalists and human rights activists. All of this raises troubling new questions: What is coming next? How bad will it be? Where will I be when it happens? And am I ready to meet my Maker if, God forbid, I’m in the wrong place at the wrong time when evil strikes again?
How would you answer such questions? They are as relevant today as they ever were.

The Harbinger of Baal Appears in America: Jonathan Cahn Exposes It

JENNIFER LECLAIRE  CHARISMA NEWS
Watchman on the Wall, by Jennifer LeClaire
In ancient Israel, the people turned away from God in their prosperity. They turned to the false god of Baal, even offering up their children as sacrifices on this demonic altar.
"They called what was evil good and what was good evil," says Cahn, author of best-selling books The Harbinger and newest title, The Book of Mysteries. "They drove God out of their government, out of their culture, out of the lives of their children. They persecuted and hunted down the righteous."
Cahn goes on to point out how nine harbingers of national destruction that appeared in ancient Israel are now appearing on American soil—many of them in New York City. One especially blatant sign just appeared in New York City—the arch that leads to the temple of Baal.

Watch the entire video to understand the spiritual dynamics behind this shocking event.

A Lot Of Buzz About A Potential Terror Attack On Christmas Day Or New Year’s Eve - MICHAEL SNYDER THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

2016 - Public Domain

Posted: 22 Dec 2015   MICHAEL SNYDER    THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG

I have never seen more buzz about a potential terror attack during the holiday season than I am seeing right now.  Over the past couple of weeks, the mainstream media and the alternative media have both been full of headlines about the possibility of terrorism on Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve.  And personally, I have had numerous people contact me with their concerns or regarding something that they have heard from others.

In addition to threats from ISIS, there are many out there that are completely convinced that we could soon see a major false flag incident in the United States.  So are any of these rumors true?  Will we soon see a major terror incident in America?  I want to make it very clear that I do not know.  As an attorney, I have been trained to come to conclusions based on the evidence, and at this moment I do not have anything completely solid to report to you.  But I do believe that it is noteworthy that there is so much buzz about a potential terror attack that is coming in from so many different directions.

For example, earlier today a mainstream news report indicated that authorities had discovered a “credible threat” against New York City.  The phrase “credible threat” was later retracted, but it is a fact that NYPD Commissioner William Bratton did hold “an emergency meeting” on Tuesday to address the threat of terror…
Top NYPD brass including Commissioner William Bratton held an emergency meeting Tuesday to discuss the need for increased vigilance, sources said.
All New York City police officers received a bulletin Tuesday afternoon outlining the department’s tactical plan and warning officers to stay vigilant, according to sources. That internal memo mentioned social media being used as a tactic and that a possible attack could come without warning.
Expect to see increased police presence at iconic locations across multiple boroughs, including Times Square, St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Midnight Mass on Thursday, and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, marking the first time a threat has sparked a swell of police presence in a borough other than Manhattan.
In Germany, it is being reported that a former ISIS fighter is telling authorities that ISIS is planning “coordinated attacks across multiple European cities”
ISIS are threatening coordinated attacks across multiple European cities, a former militant who escaped from the terror group has revealed.
The former Islamic State fighter – called Harry S – recently escaped from the group in Syria and is now being questioned by the authorities in Germany.
He says, along with other fighters, he was asked if he would “bring jihad to their homeland”.
Could he be telling the truth?

You never know.  He might just be blowing a lot of hot air.  But after what recently took place in Paris and San Bernardino, we all need to be more diligent.

And without a doubt, it is quite probable that the next attack could be bigger than anything else that we have seen so far.  That same ex-ISIS fighter told the Germans that ISIS wants “something that happens everywhere at the same time”
Worryingly, as reported by Der Spiegel, he told police: “They want something that happens everywhere at the same time.
“All you need is to take a big knife, and go down to the streets and slighter every infidel you encounter.”
And there is some evidence that radical Islamists have been planning just such an attack inside the United States.  Just check out what authorities found when they recently raided the home of a 19-year-old jihadist in Pennsylvania
Thursday, The U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest of 19-year-old Jalil Ibn Ameer Aziz, who lived in a home with his parents in the 1700 block of Fulton Street in Harrisburg.
According to an affidavit, Aziz was preparing to conduct or assist in an attack in the U.S. An investigation also revealed that Aziz attempted to aid ISIS supporters in traveling to Syria for the purpose of becoming ISIS fighters.
On November 27, investigators raided Aziz’s home and found five loaded M4-style high-capacity magazines, a modified kitchen knife, a thumb drive, medication and a balaclava inside a backpack Aziz’s kept inside a closet.
We also know that the San Bernardino shooters had accumulated quite an arsenal in their home as well.  Mike Adams of Natural News believes that this is yet more evidence that a “multi-city ISIS attack” was being planned…
I have reason to believe that a massive, multi-city ISIS attack will be unleashed across America in the near future.
Why do I believe this? Because the evidence points to the likelihood that the San Bernardino ISIS terrorists disobeyed orders and prematurely initiated their attack on a relatively small group. The twelve pipe bombs and thousands of rounds of ammunition found in their apartment point to the realization that they were preparing for something much larger.
If you’re a terrorist, you don’t build twelve pipe bombs and then leave them behind during your attack. You use them in large crowds, of course, to maximize the bloodshed and terror factor. The very existence of these pipe bombs — if indeed they weren’t planted by the feds — means that another, larger attack was in the planning stages and approaching activation.
Whether we see a major attack within the next couple of weeks or not, it is inevitable that the next one will happen at some point.  I think that the holidays are a flashpoint in particular because they have a great deal of symbolic meaning and because there are such large public gatherings of people around Christmas and on New Year’s Eve.
And the federal government recognizes this as well.  As Christmas draws closer, FEMA has been helping churches prepare for “active shooter incidents“, and the feds will be keeping a very close eye on New Year’s Eve celebrations in New York City and elsewhere.

Of course many Americans do not have much faith in the ability of the federal government to protect them.  In fact, there are some that are simply going to avoid any large public gatherings of people until after the holidays are over.
So are those individuals being paranoid or prudent?

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Thousands of New Yorker's lined the street for Chick-fil-A's fried chicken sandwiches and waffles fries this weekend.
The restaurant opened in the Big Apple on Saturday, and some customers camped out overnight to be the first in line to make an order.
But not everyone shared their enthusiasm.
Vegan, gay, and transgender rights activist staged a demonstration to protest the chain for its Christian values and its belief in traditional marriage.
"We are aware of the demonstrations," Chick-fil-A spokeswoman Carrie Kurlander said. "Grand opening day activities will continue as planned. We are excited about serving customers great food with remarkable service."
Chick-fil-A's New York location is its largest restaurant to date.
