"How Can I Pray for Israel In The Face of Constant Terrorism?"by Curt Landry, Grove, OK

From the Desk of Steve Shultz:

Steve ShultzMore and more prophetic voices are saying we are in an increased time of prayer and intercession. God is calling us to fast and pray as He leads.
My friend Curt Landry offers some great prayer strategies that we can be praying for over Israel, God's beloved nation. These can be added to our prayer time as we pray over the nations as Curt shares:

Continue to pray for the Nations of the World to hear the warnings and immediately begin to rise-up and intervene as God continues to exposes the ultimate plans and intentions of those individuals, organizations, and nations who would come against not only the Nation of Israel, but also against the United States of America, and many other Nations of the World.

"How Can I Pray for Israel In The Face of Constant Terrorism?"by Curt Landry, Grove, OK

Israeli citizens consistently live under the threat of terrorism. Just recently, a young mother of six, Dafna Meir, was brutally murdered in her own home by a sixteen-year-old Palestinian terrorist. It is unfortunate situations like this one that have many asking, "How can I pray for Israel in the face of constant terrorism?"

Meir, herself abandoned in childhood, grew up as a part of the Israeli foster care program. Consequently, while raising four children of their own, she and her husband chose to open their home to two children in foster care. Now these children's lives have been changed forever.

"The eulogy given by Meir's eldest daughter, Renana, who saw her mother being stabbed to death in their kitchen, pierced the hearts of everyone at the funeral.

'Mommy, my beautiful mother, my best friend,' she said through her tears. 'Do you see how many people care about you? You left an enormous void in all of our hearts. It is heartbreaking for me to know that you won't be there with me at the IDF induction center, at my wedding, in the delivery room. I didn't only lose a mother, I also lost my best friend.'" (See news source here.)

When we hear stories like this one it is incredibly difficult not to be angry. Recently we shared a blog post on how to deal with feelings of anger in the face of terrorism, and today we would like to speak with you about how to pray, as well.

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."—Ephesians 6:12

Although it can be difficult to look past the egregious acts to see the spiritual elements of this fight, as Believers we must. The enemy is out to destroy not only the Jewish people themselves, but also the very ones he uses to bring violence against them. No one has ever been saved through hatred. It is only through love that we win.

These prayer strategies from One New Man United offer tips on how to pray for the nation of Israel during difficult times such as these.

Decree the Word of the Lord Over the Land and Her People...

Pray for the nation of Israel by speaking God's covenant promises over the land. Ask that the stony hearts of those who seek to do them harm be melted.

"Those who trust in the Lord
are like Mount Zion which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds His people
from this time forth and forever.

"For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest
on the land allotted to the righteous
prayer lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,
and to those who are upright in their hearts.

"As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways,
the Lord shall lead them away
with the workers of iniquity.
"Peace be upon Israel!" —Psalm 125

Pray for the Leaders of Israel...

Pray for God to continue to pour out His protection, wisdom, revelation, favor, strength and blessing upon Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the current members of the Knessett and the Israeli Security Council as they diligently stand for the truth, peace, security and sovereignty of the Nation of Israel.

"...He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him."—Daniel 2:21-22

Pray for the Israeli Security and Defense...

Continue to pray for God's wisdom, favor, insight and protection to rest upon the men and women in all departments of Israeli security and defense, as they diligently persevere to protect the citizens and borders of the Nation of Israel...

"For the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard."—Isaiah 52:12

Pray for the Nations of the World...

"Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us."—Isaiah 8:10

Child Abuse: The World Must Stand Up Against the Incitement of Palestinian Youth by Sherri Mandell - BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS

Child Abuse: The World Must Stand Up Against the Incitement of Palestinian Youth

We are heartsick and angry at what is happening in our country. Two days ago Dafna Meir, a mother of six, a nurse, a healer, knifed to death in front of her children—a horrifying act of violence that unfortunately goes mostly unnoticed in the larger world. And yesterday Michal Froman, a young pregnant mother of four knifed while she was working at a used clothing store in Tekoa. We live in Tekoa. Our son Koby was 13 when he was murdered here with his friend Yosef Ish Ran in 2001. The two boys cut school and were beaten to death with rocks in a cave in the canyon near our home.

We hoped that terror had stopped. But Arab murderers are still being incited to hunt the young and the defenseless, children like Koby and Yosef, women like Dafna Meir who are unarmed. Women who are taking care of children or are pregnant. The Palestinians are being incited to kill those who are most vulnerable.
Unfortunately our enemy will write about these attacks as acts of Palestinian courage and resistance. Others will justify these acts as resistance. Or a response to despair.
But these acts are part of an orchestrated strategy to destroy the Jewish people. They are not lone wolf attacks. First in September the Palestinians concentrated their murderous activity in the Old City of Jerusalem, and then they were urged to kill on the roads in Hebron and Kiryat Arba and Gush Etzion—ramming their cars into Jews, and now Arab terrorists are being encouraged to infiltrate settlements.
This strategy is doomed and will not bring peace. It will only bring further Palestinian suffering.
Show Off Your IDF Pride with some IDF Swag!
In fact, it seems that it is sometimes the weakest members of the Palestinian society who are incited to kill, and then be wounded or killed themselves. It’s a tragedy on their side as well that young Palestinians—youth– are brainwashed to give their lives to murder Jews when their violence only ensures that peace will not be found. Where are the voices crying out against this society’s abuse of children? Against a society that glamorizes its killers, naming streets after them, celebrating their deaths?
We join in the sorrow of the nation of Israel over the despicable events of the past days. We hope that the whole country—indeed the whole world– will understand the nature of our enemy and will join together in mourning Dafna Meir and praying for the speedy recovery of Michal Froman.

Jewish Mother Brutally Murdered Defending her Children After Terrorist Breaks into Their Home

“I went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourneth for his mother.” (Psalms 35:14)
A Jewish woman was brutally murdered while defending her children from a terrorist who broke into their home in Otniel on Sunday afternoon.
Dafna Meir, 39, was at home with three of her six children in the Judean town of Otniel, located in the Hebron hills, when an Arab man entered her house. Meir struggled with the terrorist in the entrance of the house in an attempt to keep him away from her children, receiving multiple fatal stabbing wounds.
The terrorist then fled the scene of the attack, which had been witnessed by Meir’s 15-year-old daughter. She later told police what had happened and described the attacker to security forces, who are currently combing the area to find traces of him.
The assailant is believed to have escaped to a nearby Arab village. Overnight, five Palestinians in the area of the settlement were detained in connection with the attack, and another 22 were detained after sweeps across the West Bank.
While there is security camera footage of the terrorist escaping from the gated community on foot, there is no evidence of him breaking in. Security forces have said it is likely that he was a construction worker employed in Otniel.
The settlement was put on lockdown following the attack, with residents being advised to stay inside. On Monday, all Palestinian workers were banned from entering Jewish communities in the area.
Meir was mother to four children between the ages of 11 and 17, and two foster children, both under five. A nurse in the neurosurgery department of Soroka Medical Center, Meir was known for her joyful demeanor and generosity.
She worked with the Summit Institute, an organization which gives assistance to disadvantaged Israeli children struggling with trauma, mental illness, family crises, and special needs. Meir and her family had taken in two young foster children as part of the Institute’s family-based residential foster care program, one of whom has special needs.
“Dafna and her husband provided a warm and loving home to two children, one of whom is a special-needs child,” Summit Institute Executive Director Yoni Bogot said in a statement. “Dafna dedicated her life to saving lives, both as a nurse and as a foster mother. May her memory be a blessing and an inspiration to us all.”
Yishai Klein, a neighbor of Meir’s, told Ynet, “She was a happy woman, joyful, optimistic, driven, responsible, loving.”
Meir’s friend Liron Steinberg added, “She always looked for how to help.” She said that Meir had often invited troubled kids from a nearby youth village to her home if they didn’t have a place to go.
The attack was immediately condemned by Israeli officials, who expressed sorrow and grief over the incident and warned that Palestinian terrorism would “require us to act with an iron hand”.
Eli Yishai, former Interior Minister, said in a statement, “I am shocked by the murderous attack in Otniel. The cruelty of the  murderers knows no bounds.”
“Again we come across the face of uninhibited evil. An awful murder of a Jewish woman, may her memory be blessed, in her private home, with her only ‘sin’ being that she was an Israeli Jew,” he added.
