In today's verse, God instructs the people, "Build for me a sanctuary" and they construct a majestic Tabernacle from acacia wood. Where in the world did the Israelites get acacia wood in the desert?! Tradition tells us that upon arriving in Egypt, the first thing Jacob does is plant saplings, preparing for the redemption. Throughout history, even when the Jews were living outside of Israel, they were always looking forward to their return and preparing for the redemption.
