Do You Feel Stuck by Death, Crushing Blows, or Disappointment?

I have been seeing a vision of a person standing staring into a huge, dark, mass grave. In this grave is so much death. Disappointments, fears, despair, dead dreams, and broken promises are there; devastated relationships, disastrous set-backs, and worry for the souls of loved ones. There are missed opportunities, betrayals, and the untimely passing-away of significant people.

The eyes of this person are unblinking, riveted, looking into the hole, grieving and paralyzed with loss. They are becoming dark and obsessed, rehearsing in their minds what could have been, and even what SHOULD have been or might still be. They are stuck.(Photo via Pixabay)

They have been staring into the darkness, either hoping to prevent future pain by understanding fully what happened, waiting for closure, or hoping for resurrection.

But the Lord says to STOP. Stop staring into that hole of loss, and ask for a fresh revelation of His love to push out the fear and crushing disappointment. Stop waiting for people, movements, or organizations to repent and come to the Light. Stop trying to figure it all out, losing your peace and joy because someone you love doesn't "get it." Stop staring into the abyss, waiting for something you hoped would come to pass.

When sorrowing over what others did, or failed to do, keeps us from what wecan do, it has gone too far and we cease to be in the "present," living out of our past. When we lose all joy by lingering and hoping that something can be salvaged from the ashes, we have waited too long. If we remain staring into the pit of death, death will start staring into us.

I saw a mountain right next to this pit, and the Lord told me to say, "This mountain is YOURS to climb." Not the culture's mountain, the country's or the Church's, or even you and your best friend's (although those mountains also exist). This one is yours. You can't climb it if you remain by the abyss. (Photo by Jennifer Page "My Firm Foundation" via elijahshopper.com)

The fear that moving up that mountain will leave loved ones or promises behind is a deception of the enemy to keep you (and possibly your loved ones) in bondage.

The mountain is your journey with the Holy Spirit, with Jesus our older brother, and with our Heavenly Father. It may be dry or abundant, public or hidden, challenging or comforting. You will be brought straight up the side of the hill, full of anointing, gifting, and victory, just to be turned around and brought back down in darkness of night to acclimatize. 

At times you will see visions and vistas like never before; other times you will walk by faith, only seeing the next step ahead, with not even a "star" to see by.

We have been defined by performance Christianity, which is fueled by the cruel master, "Fear." God wants to reveal powerful weapons to us, which the enemy has defined as wimpy and irrational. The world longs for the children of God to walk in these things with authority and boldness: Rest that only Jesus gives, peace that cannot be faked, confidence in the friendship of the Holy Spirit, and the knowledge of the fullness of the Father's uncreated grace and favor over us.

Start with Asking the Lord for a Revelation of Himself and Thanksgiving

Ask the Lord for a revelation of Himself. He may show you in a moment what He wants to reveal, or it may take time. Three years ago the Lord told me He wanted to reveal His GRACE to me... What a three-year journey it has been! The answers have come from a hundred different sources, in a million different ways, and there is more to come. Could He have revealed it in a day or a moment? He transported Philip from one place to another in a flash, but normally He shows us by journey. He may want to reveal His love for you, His Fatherhood, His deliverance, or His divine rest. He may wait to give you a revelation of how He speaks to our hearts in silence, or the power of our words. It will be your journey to embrace.

Start with thanksgiving. Thank Him for even the smallest things, but start thanking Him and make it a conscious habit. Thank Him through tears, thank Him in pain, and thank Him out loud so you can hear your own voice. Thanking God by faith in the face of despair is one of the most precious gifts we can offer, and one of the most life-transforming. It will lead to the dearest and most intimate, childlike praise, and result in a powerful joy of spirit that transcends both mind and emotions.

Thanking Him creates the atmosphere that will sustain you in the high elevations (testing) of your mountain... And for those of you who have stared so long into the abyss that you actually fell in? Start thanking Him and His LOVE will lift you out.

Shake Off Your Grave Clothes and Journey Up the Mountain and Inspire Others to Climb Too

When you have been in a dirty-air environment for a long time, you start becoming impervious to the odor. Submerge yourself in air that is polluted, toxic, or smells of death or decay...and your senses begin to dull. And then, when you leave the area, it can stick to your clothes, or seem as though the smells are lodged in your head or on your hair, and follow you everywhere!

Leaving that pit of despair and grieving to move up your mountain of grace and faith, you might not even realize how bad it was down there...until you look back and can't even see the ground or the "city" you were in for the haze of pollutants layered over it. And you may forget how bad it smelled until you get around those still living there, now shocked at what they (and you) had become used to!

Life is very different on the Mountain, and people will respond differently to you. This is a real re-set, a new thing with new challenges. People under demonic influence may now react very strongly to you when you walk by, where before they might have ignored you. 

Some people will want what you have. Your joy, your liberty, and peace will inspire them to shake off their own grave clothes and make the journey up their own mountain! But don't be surprised if others get confused, jealous, or bitter, and feel abandoned by you.

Sitting by a mass grave of dead dreams and lost hopes is not intolerable if you think that by sitting there you will get you some kind of answer. And staring long enough into the abyss to "figure it out" can even be strangely satisfying if others will join you there in your hopeless vigil...at least you have company.

This is a BIG transition, a HUGE seasonal change, not a little one (and life has many of all sizes!). People will come at their own pace and level of revelation. Love fully, have mercy, but keep moving up in response to Christ, cooperating with the Holy Spirit.

What Fragrance are You Giving Off?

My friend, Gloria Dinerman, said, "One of my favorite Scriptures is 2 Corinthians 2:15-16: 'For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?'

Remember, when the old smells (anger; despair; self-pity; self-loathing; disappointment; fear; prolonged, disabling grief) start to press in on you, start thanking God. Thank Him for the smallest and biggest things, the good and the difficult. Then, let this thanksgiving lead you to high praise, and your atmosphere will change! You will have to fight for this...but it is SO worth it!

"Two men born in Iraq who came to the United States as refugees were set to appear in court Friday on terror-related charges in California and Texas," reports Fox News. "A criminal complaint unsealed Thursday accused 23-year-old Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, of Sacramento, Calif., of traveling to Syria to fight alongside terrorist organizations and lying to government investigators about it. Almost simultaneously in Houston, federal authorities announced the arrest of Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan, 24, on charges of attempting to provide material support to ISIS, procurement of citizenship or naturalization unlawfully and making false statements to investigators." "Based on the facts, as we know them, today's action may have prevented a catastrophic terror related event in the making and saved countless lives," Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said in a statement, Fox News reported. "This is precisely why I called for a halt to refugees entering the U.S. from countries substantially controlled by terrorists," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott added. "I once again urge the President to halt the resettlement of these refugees in the United States until there is an effective vetting process that will ensure refugees do not compromise the safety of Americans and Texans." I agree -- since the U.S. has no capacity to vet the refugees coming out of Syria and Iraq to see if they are jihadists or not, we absolutely must not allow them to enter the country. The U.S. should provide humanitarian assistance to Jordan and other countries and organizations who are caring for refugees fleeing war and terror in the Mideast. But the President's job is to protect the American people from attack, and allowing thousands of refugees into the States without vetting them properly is suicide. The evidence of the last several years makes clear that ISIS is planning attacks inside the United States. In my last novel, The Third Target, ISIS-linked terrorists launch a mass murder attack in Washington, D.C., even assassinating a high-ranking government official. In the latest novel, The First Hostage, ISIS plots to capture and kill the President of the United States and other world leaders. I’m afraid attacks in against U.S. leaders and citizens around the world are a realistic scenario. But we need to be prepared for the activation of ISIS sleeper cells inside the homeland, leading to Paris-style attacks. We also need to anticipate more San Bernardino-style attacks by lone-wolves who have been inspired by – and see themselves loyal to – the Islamic State. The good news is that federal authorities are hard at work to keep Americans safe. The bad news is that the threats posed by ISIS and other jihadist groups are rapidly metastasizing. FBI officials say they are currently running more than 900 investigations into suspected ISIS terrorists operating inside the U.S. In fact, there are active cases in all fifty states at present. Over the past two years the FBI has arrested at least 66 people in the U.S. on suspicion of ISIS terror activities. If this weren’t troubling enough, at least 250 Americans are believed to have gone to fight with ISIS in Syria and Iraq. What will happen when those who aren’t killed on the battlefield return to the U.S. with their American passports? What if they aren’t detected and stopped by federal authorities in time? How many more will they recruit into violent jihad? At the very end of 2015,
And the year of ten plus six,
That wicked old Satan,
Will be up to evil tricks.

December through February,
Winter finds itself here,
A sudden event will strike,

Todd Morehead had always dreamt of one thing—becoming a professional surfer. Growing up in California, he could think of nothing else. But there was a competing focus that eventually won out—a desire to travel in service to the Kingdom of God.

Fortunately, Morehead came to realize his two passions could be combined. “I found myself working for different Christian organizations, not only doing ministry, but also surfing,” he says in the opening to his documentary filmPromised Land.

Eventually, those travels brought him to Israel.

“I’ve been able to go all around the world, but Israel keeps coming to the forefront of my mind,” explains Morehead. “My heart is that all Christians would find a really deep-seated love for the Jews, and that they would discover how Jewish our faith is.”

Amid refurbishing bomb shelters in the Galilee with Shelters of Hope and befriending local surfers, Morehead realized other Christians needed to know the struggles of Israelis who want to live in peace but are forced to face constant conflict, and why this should speak to anyone who believes in the Bible.

“As Christians, God calls us to love the Jews,” he asserts. “I feel a debt of gratitude toward the Jewish people.”

Besides his hands-on, practical ministry work, Morehead began to lead groups of other Christian surfers to visit the Holy Land and catch some Israeli waves.

Promised Land is the continuation of that work. In the stunning, hour-long documentary, Morehead highlights his friendship with the Israeli surfer community, its history, the challenges faced by all living in the Jewish state, and how, in whatever small ways possible, a handful of Christian surfers are working with their Israeli counterparts for peace. He also intersperses biblical and historical teachings.

Two people along to help Morehead were world-renowned surfing champion Tom Curren and California-based Messianic rabbi Barney Kasdan.

“As Christians, [Israel] is a very important place for us,” says Curren. “It was really moving to see Jerusalem for the first time. To think that so much hinges on what happens to Jerusalem; it’s such an important place.”

While Curren was moved by his first Holy Land experience, those in Israel familiar with surfing were moved by the presence of such a legend.

“Almost everywhere we went, word got out somehow that Tom Curren is in the Land,” recounts Kasdan, adding jokingly, “I’d almost say it was like Elijah coming ahead of the Messiah.”

The film concludes with Morehead’s Israeli surfer friend Hani stating, “I believe that God gave the Jewish people this land. It’s there, it’s in the Bible.”

Nevertheless, Morehead has found that in the charged atmosphere of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, many Christians no longer believe that. He told Israel Today that his next project is a documentary “exploring my continued journey in Israel, seeking truth specifically behind the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with the goal of giving a proper Christian response.”

After already producing Promised Land which has had a positive impact on young people prone to adopting the “Palestinian cause,” we wondered why an additional documentary was necessary. Morehead pointed out that the new anti-Semitism disguised as social justice requires a direct response.

“Christians are being told from both secular and Christian media that if they believe in justice then they need to stand with the underdog, who are always portrayed as the Palestinians,” he said. “But we believe that if people really care about justice, then they need to look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through a broader lens, a lens that considers the destructive influence of radical Islam within Palestinian society and the Middle East.”

And, of course, for Christians there is the fact that all of this is part of “God fulfilling His covenant promises to the people of Israel,” which includes “a redemptive plan and a deep love for the Arabs living in the region.”

Violent Shaking Along The Ring Of Fire Continues A Progression Of Disasters That Began In September  - Michael Snyder  The Economic Collapse Posted: 08 Nov 2015 Have you noticed that seismic activity along the Ring of Fire appears to be dramatically increasing?  According to Volcano Discovery, 39 volcanoes around the world have recently erupted, and 32 of them are associated with the Ring of Fire.  This includes Mt. Popocatepetl which sits only about 50 miles away from Mexico City’s 18 million inhabitants. If you are not familiar with the Ring of Fire, it is an area roughly shaped like a horseshoe that runs along the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean.  Approximately 90 percent of all earthquakes and approximately 75 percent of all volcanic eruptions occur along the Ring of Fire.  Just within the last 24 hours, we have witnessed a 4.4, a 5.4 and a 5.7 earthquake in Alaska, a 6.8 earthquake in Chile and 20 earthquakes in Indonesia of at least magnitude 4.3.  And as you will see below, this violent shaking along the Ring of Fire seems to continue a progression of major disasters that began back during the month of September. For whatever reason, our planet suddenly seems to be waking up.  Unfortunately, the west coast of the United States is one of the areas where this is being felt the most.  The little city of San Ramon, California is about 45 miles east of San Francisco, and over the past several weeks it has experienced a record-breaking 583 earthquakes… A total of 583 small earthquakes have shaken San Ramon, California, in the last three weeks or so – more than five times the record set 12 years ago, according to the latest US Geological Survey updates. “It’s the swarm with the largest number of total earthquakes in San Ramon,” said USGS scientist David Schwartz, who is more concerned about the size of quakes than he is the total number of them. Still, the number tops the previous record set in 2003, when 120 earthquakes hit over 31 days, with the largest clocking in at a magnitude of 4.2. Could this be a prelude to a major seismic event in California? We shall see what happens. Meanwhile, records are being shattered in the middle part of the country as well. For instance, the state of Oklahoma has already set a brand new yearly record for earthquakes… The state recorded its 587th earthquake of 3.0 magnitude or higher early this week, breaking the previous record of 585. That record was set for all of 2014, meaning that Oklahoma has now had more 3.0 magnitude or higher earthquakes so far in 2015 than it did in all of 2014. So far this year, E&E News reports, Oklahoma’s averaged 2.5 quakes each day, a rate that, if it continues, means the state could see more than 912 earthquakes by the end of this year. Oklahoma has also experienced 21 4.0 magnitude or greater earthquakes so far this year — an increase over last year, which saw 14. And just over this past weekend there was a very disturbing series of earthquakes in the state… Starting with a magnitude-4.1 temblor at 5:11 a.m. close to the Oklahoma-Kansas border, the region experienced a series of six earthquakes within a 75-minute period Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on its website. The largest earthquake Saturday morning was the 4.1, which had an epicenter nine miles northwest of Medford, Okla., 59 miles southwest of Wichita. That was followed by five more quakes near Medford with magnitudes of 2.5, 2.8, 2.5, 3.1 and 2.9 – the last of which came at 6:24 a.m. A seventh earthquake – this one a magnitude-4.2 temblor – was recorded at 12:29 p.m., 10 miles north-northwest of Medford. So why aren’t more Americans alarmed that these records are being broken? We are seeing things that we have never seen before, and I believe that it will soon get even worse. And this dramatic increase in seismic activity that we are now seeing appears to fit into a larger pattern of major disasters that we have been witnessing over the past couple of months. As we approached the end of the summer, all of a sudden massive wildfires erupted all across the western third of the country.  According to the National Interagency Fire Center, the only time in U.S. history when wildfires had burned more acres by the end of October was during the record-setting year of 2006. In 2015, a lot of these wildfires have really been threatening highly populated areas.  I know, because at one point a major fire came within about 10 miles of my own house.  Since the beginning of August, Barack Obama has made an astounding 25 disaster declarations related to fires, and by the end of September the horrible fires that were threatening key areas of the state of California were making headlines all over the world. Then as we got to the very end of the month of September, a new kind of disaster began to take center stage.  As I wrote about just recently, the storm that would later became known as Hurricane Joaquin developed into a tropical depression on September 28th. Even though that hurricane never made landfall in the United States, moisture from that storm caused a tremendous amount of chaos along the east coast. The governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, said that it was the most rain that some areas of her state had witnessed “in a thousand years”, and it is being projected that the economic damage that was done by all of the flooding “will probably be in the billions of dollars”. Shortly after the flooding in South Carolina, a massive storm dumped an enormous amount of rain on southern California.  Because that area had been experiencing severe drought for so long, all of that rain caused tremendous flooding and massive mudslides.  Rivers of mud literally several feet thick completely stopped traffic along many major roads across the region.  If you got caught in those rivers of mud, you were lucky to get out with your life.  In fact, authorities pulled one dead man out of a vehicle that got completely buried by mud several days after the storms had passed.  It took them that long to finally get to him. The middle of the country was not spared either.  Hurricane Patricia ended up being one of the strongest hurricanes ever measured, and the remnants of that storm dumped an incredible amount of rain on the state of Texas.  There was so much flooding that a train was literally knocked off the tracks by the water.  And about a week after that there was more flooding in the state that caused at least six deaths. Overall, it has really been a bad couple of months for major disasters, and this sequence of events seems to have begun during the month of September. So what should we make of all this?
