Huge answer to prayer! - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

It's been an exciting week in Israel. The rain has finally come to water our dry land, and also we have seen an absolutely amazing response to our latest evangelistic video. Almost 200,000 Israelis have watched it in less than a week, close to 1000 have shared it, and we have had several people writing in, wanting to take the next steps towards Yeshua. Praise God - rain is falling both physically and spiritually!

ISRAEL COLLEGE OF THE BIBLE:
BUILDING UP BELIEVERS IN ISRAEL

As well as reaching Jewish and Arab Israelis with the gospel, we are passionately committed to building up the body of Messiah, by investing in leaders and providing good theological training in the Hebrew language.

Students from all kinds of backgrounds come to study for their bachelors, masters, doctorate or other qualifications with us. We not only focus on academic development, but we also love to see the students grow spiritually on a personal level, so that they can go on to serve others well.

We regularly get out of the classroom and go on field trips to explore the land of the Bible together. In November we took a trip to Mareshah, which is mentioned in the Bible several times.

Here, King Asa defeated an army of a million men, after he called on God for help as told in 2 Chronicles 14
"Adonai, there is no one like You to help in battle between the mighty and the powerless. Help us, Adonai Eloheinu, for we rely on You and in Your Name we have come against this multitude. You are Adonai Eloheinu! Let no man prevail against You."

God is still the same yesterday, today and forever. He is always ready to respond when we call upon him.

REPRESENTING ONE FOR ISRAEL INTERNATIONALLY

The 68th Evangelical Theological Society conference was attended by some 2500 seminary/Bible college professors and students. Three of our own professors presented papers on topics related to Jewish ministry and the Hebrew Bible which were extremely well received.

Moreover, we had opportunities to share with many people there about what God is doing among us in Israel, particularly at Israel College of the Bible, among the Jewish and Arab people. Thank you to all those who have prayed for this important conference.

THE BIBLICAL IMPORTANCE OF RAIN

God creates the need for faith where there is none necessary in the ordinary. God has placed his people in a dry and dusty land with no reliable source of water so that they must look up to the skies, and to the one who can make it rain. He did it on purpose. Continue reading...

IS REVIVAL STARTING IN ISRAEL?

These are truly amazing times. God's Spirit is being poured out like never before here in the Middle East, bringing in a harvest of new believers at a pace that is hard to keep up with. Not only that, but we are also seeing God draw Jewish and Arab pastors together in precious unity that feels completely new, right here in Israel today! Is God is fixing his broken nets to prepare for a miraculous catch of fish?

Finding the Messiah in the aftermath of 9/11 - ONE FOR ISRAEL

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom!

The God of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is our ever present help in times of trouble. No matter what is going on in the world, Yeshua, our Messiah, is always at work - seeking and saving the lost.

FINDING THE MESSIAH IN THE RUBBLE OF 9/11

In the wake of the 9/11 coming around on our calendars again, we think of all those who died and the devastation that was caused. But even in that awful tragedy, God was at work.

Identifying bodies after the catastrophic attack, Dr Jeff Burkes, a forensic dentist, came face to face with the reality of evil. He understood that if evil was real, then God was also real. Through the horrors of 9/11, he encountered the truth and found his Messiah. Click on here to hear his story.

ORTHODOX JEWISH WOMAN READS THE NEW TESTAMENT
... AND LOVES IT!

Just a couple of days ago, Moti received this message from a young Jewish woman who had been watching our evangelistic videos which challenge the Rabbinic rejection of Yeshua as the Messiah. Here's what she said:

Hi, this is a bit strange for me, but here goes... It turns out that I have seen you and Eitan in youtube videos quite a lot. At first, of course, I thought what many people think (shock horror! Missionaries! Pagans!) but I ended up getting a New Testament and generally thinking it all over by myself, delving deeper into the history of Rabbinic Judaism... I'm not sure about what I believe now (I come from an Orthodox religious home, and all that goes with that). I think that you have raised a lot of good and interesting points but it's so different to where I'm coming from.... that it's - oy, Jesus! I say that with double meaning... Is there a phone number I could call? Someone who could give me some answers to my questions privately? Thank you.

She had a conversation with Moti, in which she told him:

After searching in so many Jewish circles for the truth, I decided to start reading the New Testament, and I was shocked to find a God that shows love without asking for more.

Please pray for her as she discovers the wonderful truth about the Messiah for herself.

Rabbi vents his fury about Jesus and ONE FOR ISRAEL's evangelism

Dr Erez Soref President of  ONE FOR ISRAEL
Shalom from Israel!

As the Word of Truth goes forth, so inevitably come the attacks. We know that we are in a battle, but we also know who has the victory!

"But thanks be to God, who in Messiah always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us reveals everywhere the aroma  of the knowledge of Himself. For we are the aroma of Messiah to God, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing - to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life." (2 Cor 2:14-15)

Here is a short video showing one rabbi who is furious about how far our evangelism is reaching, along with our response from Moti and Eitan, click photo to watch:

Meanwhile, the gospel is advancing, and Jewish people keep on coming into the Kingdom...

Eitan writes, "Here is (a part of) a message that I just received from a girl in her early 20s:

"Shalom, I am writing to you because I came to the conclusion that Yeshua is the Messiah.

So I got in touch with Rabbi Daniel Asur to be sure of my decision. I our meeting he told me that in one of his meetings with Eitan and Moti, Moti got upset and hit him. I am reluctant to believe him. So I am asking you if that's true?"

The rabbis just don't know what to do with us anymore, so they lie, make up stories, incite against us in videos... I feel we are about to enter some interesting times here in Israel."

Born again in Nazareth - ONE FOR ISRAEL

CAN ANYTHING GOOD COME OUT OF NAZARETH? ABSOLUTELY!
Last week, as part of our course for senior pastors, we had a week of intensive study in a hotel in Nazareth for two pastors' classes. And something rather wonderful happened.

Dr. Erez Soref had gone to the hotel to visit with the pastors, but while the classes were in progress, he and a few others were sitting out in lobby. Suddenly, an official-looking lady holding a planner and notebooks appeared, asking for him by name. Erez assumed that she would be from the hotel staff, perhaps needing him to settle a bill, but it turned out that she was a delegate from a different conference about tourism at the same hotel. She had passed by a room full of pastors all talking about God, and wanted to sit in the class and listen.

She said she really wanted to know about God, so one of the pastors suggested that she should go and talk to Erez. So that's what she decided to do. In talking to her, Erez discovered that she was from a nominal Christian Arab family from the local area, and he began to share about God's love, His grace, and the peace that He gives, but she interrupted:

"Wait, but you're Jewish? How come you're talking to me about Jesus?" Then she reasoned, "But Jesus was Jewish wasn't he? So I guess it's OK!"

She knew a little about Jesus, but Erez asked if she would like to get to know Him personally, and she cried a little, and said yes, she would. She had beaten cancer three years ago, but and had recently undergone another round of chemotherapy, which had also been successful, and the cancer was now in remission. She said that God had preserved her, and now she wanted to know Him.

Erez invited her to pray to Jesus according to his invitation in Revelation3:20"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

She said to Erez, "You're Jewish, but are there any Arabs here that believe in Jesus?" Erez called one of the Arab pastors over to join them, who was able to share with her in Arabic, her heart language, about the Lord. He explained about the problem of sin, but she said that she didn't sin - that she was a very good person. When her parents had died, she raised her siblings, and had always tried to do her best. Erez asked, "But have you ever wanted something someone else has? Envy something?" Her eyes widened, "Does that count as sin?" Together they discussed the matter, and explained about what sin is, and the One who had the authority to forgive her sins.

Soon she was ready to make a step of faith.

And so a Jewish Messianic believer, an Arab pastor, and the lady from Nazareth who wanted to come to Yeshua for forgiveness, all held hands as the Arab brother led her through a prayer to faith, from sin to repentance.
She sobbed as they encouraged her, and invited her to have lunch with them all. She sat with the group of Jewish and Arab pastors together, some of whom had churches right there in Nazareth, where she lives. She is now attending one of those churches, and has great hunger to grow in the Lord and to know Him. Please pray for our new sister from Nazareth as she starts out in her new life with Jesus, in His home town.
