Although you may be attracted to someone's charisma, magnetism and the way they minister, Jesus has created you uniquely and wants to use you with your own personality, mannerisms and makeup. The gift that the Lord has for you is befitting to your personal characteristics. Don't try to be someone that you were not created to be, but just be a submissive, yielded vessel and watch what the Lord will do.

A Unique Piece of the Puzzle

Many of you are having what I call a spiritual identity crisis by not knowing what your gifts and callings are. You are trying to find your place in the Body of Christ. It is comparable to the structure of a jigsaw puzzle. You know that you are a piece of this puzzle, but you are searching to see where you fit in. There are also those of you who have been watching ministers for some time now and you covet their anointing. There is nothing wrong with admiring a minister's gift and character, but the Lord has a unique ministry and anointing for each one of us.

Although you may be attracted to someone's charisma, magnetism and the way they minister, Jesus has created you uniquely and wants to use you with your own personality, mannerisms and makeup.

The gift that the Lord has for you is befitting to your personal characteristics. Don't try to be someone that you were not created to be, but just be a submissive, yielded vessel and watch what the Lord will do.

The apostle Paul tells us to desire spiritual gifts and this should be natural for every Believer. The Lord has created each one of us to be used with a particular presentation, teaching, writing or prophetic word. Each one of us has been created for a purpose. He has created you for such a time as this, just the way that you are, and wants to use you just the same. He has a commission for you that only you can fulfill.

Jesus delights in using ordinary people to do extraordinary things for His glory.

1 Corinthians 14:1, "Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy."

Designed to Be a Survivor and a Thriver

The Lord says, "I have designed you not only to survive, but to thrive in the environment in which you have been created. You have been strategically placed where you are, and have been uniquely designed for My specific plan for your life. You have been born for this time and season in which you are living. It is no accident that you were born on a particular day, month and year, created with a distinct height, weight and gender. Even your personality has been engrafted into My master plan for your life.

 "Just as I have equipped and called the prophets of old to do great works, I am also equipping you for great exploits in the days ahead. You have been chosen to have visitations with the King of kings. You have been created to have encounters in the Kingdom of Heaven. Take your focus off your natural situations and focus on spiritual realities. Do not say that these times are too difficult to survive, because I have created you to be a survivor.

"Release your old ways of thinking and the mindsets that have kept you from advancing. Do not fear what lies ahead because you have been created in My image. Do not allow the enemy to divert your attention off your purpose and My plan for your life. You are a threat to the enemy, not by who you are, but by what you carry. I have placed My anointing on the inside of you in which there is no competition with the kingdom of darkness. I have strategically designed you with a purpose, plan and a destiny for greater works," says the Lord.

Psalm 139:13- 16, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them."

This is How I Fight My Battles by Elaine Tavolacci

This morning I was listening to the song "This is how I fight my battles." I thought about the scripture in Ephesians chapter six concerning the armor of God. The Holy Spirit then showed me how some people are fighting the wrong battles. They are having confrontations with others because they don't know who their enemy is. They are under pressure but they don't recognize that they are retaliating and wrestling in the flesh. The bible tells us that we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.

Then the Lord showed me those who have battles in their minds but they don't know how to deal with them. Some people are overcome with fear, anger, worry, confusion, depression and discouragement. As I was writing this I heard the words "Southern comfort" which is an alcoholic beverage. Some people are fighting their battles with drugs, alcohol and other substances just to cope and to mask their problems.

For some of you the battle is a battle between your flesh and your spirit. There is a story in the book of Genesis about Rebecca, the wife of Isaac who was pregnant with twins named Jacob and Esau. The story goes on to say while Rebecca was pregnant, she inquired of the Lord and asked Him what she was experiencing as the twins jostled each other within her womb. The Lord responded in an allegory that there were two nations within her womb, which shall be separated, one will be stronger, and the older shall serve the younger. The Holy Spirit showed me that Esau represented the flesh and Jacob represented the spirit. Many of you are experiencing a struggle within yourself, which is your flesh warring against your spirit.

The Way of the Spirit

The Lord says; as you experience this inward battle, don't allow your flesh to take dominion and control. Don't allow the nature of your flesh to win as your old nature is battling with the divine nature. Never allow carnality to rule, but as you allow My Spirit to lead and direct you from within, you will be set free from this constant struggle. When discouragement tries to set in, know that you have the strength to follow the way of the Spirit. Use that which I have imparted to you. Do no allow yourself to be controlled by your senses, neither be controlled by thoughts that are conflicting with My word. As you go through difficult seasons, prayerfully seek Me to lead you and guide you in the way of truth.

Just as the rivalry was between Jacob and Esau, stand steadfast and don't give up your birthright. Don't dismiss the blessing that I have bestowed upon your life by submitting to anything that is contrary to My will. Hold on to the dream that I have placed within your heart, and understand the Covenant that I have made with you. Don't allow fearful thoughts to overwhelm you, and never let go of that which I have already provided for you. As you learn how to master your flesh and submit to My Spirit, you will begin to have a new strength to choose each day who you will serve. The thoughts and mindsets that try to war against your soul, will quickly dissipate as you allow Me to lead and guide you from within says the Lord.

Genesis 25:22-23 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If all is well, why am I like this?" So she went to inquire of the Lord. And the Lord said to her: "Two nations are in your womb, two peoples shall be separated from your body; one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger."

Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Galatians 5:16-17 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

"But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food." (Job 23:10-12)

How to Understand and Respond to God's Plans for Our Life

There is a book in the Bible about a man named Job. He was a blameless and upright man who had experienced great loss in every area of his life. Although he went through a horrendous trial for some time, he did not become angry or resentful. The Book of Job, Chapter 42:10-16, tells us that after Job had prayed for his friends the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.

"Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first Jemimah, the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-Happuch. In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. So Job died, old and full of days." (Job 42:12-17)

Job said during this trying time that he would "come forth as gold" because he knew that he didn't do anything to deserve such an injustice. He also understood that God's plan for his life could not be thwarted or canceled. When God gives you a promise, it will come to pass no matter what your situation is in the natural.

"Job replied to the Lord: 'I know that You can do all things; no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.'" (Job 42:1-2)

"As You Call Out to Me in the Fires of Affliction, I Will Respond"

The Lord says, "I hear your cry and I hear every prayer. As you call out to Me in the fires of affliction, I will respond. Though the trials seem endless, I am with you through them all. Just as the refining of gold removes impurities, those things in your life that are unacceptable shall be removed. In the same way that refining gold separates the pure from the less precious metals, I am removing the dross from your life. I am releasing you into royalty which comes forth from purity. Trust Me to strengthen you as you are refined in these trying times. Disregard the opinions of those who doubt My Word. The opinions of others cannot negate My plans.

"Shake off the heaviness and despair. Be careful not to go back to your old ways of living, and don't allow the enemy to intimidate you by trying to steal your identity in Me. The enemy could not terminate anything that I have for you as long as you do not yield to him. Love your enemies rather than be critical of them. Bless them that curse you and pray for those who despitefully use you.
"If you listen for My voice, you will no longer be misled by the voices of unbelief. I Am the God of liberation, and as you refuse to submit to anything contrary to My word, I will deliver you from all the chaos in your life. I will release you from those things that are harming you and supply of all your needs.
"Trust Me for your healing. Trust Me for your deliverance. Trust Me for your financial needs. Trust Me in your marriage. See yourself healed and made whole. See yourself prosperous. See yourself strong and able to stand against any adversity that comes your way. Decree and declare that you are more than a conqueror. As you acknowledge the glorious future that I have for you, your life will be transformed and you will see My plans come to pass in your life and ministry," says the Lord. There is a phenomenal story in the book of 2 Kings Chapter 4: 8- 36 of the prophet Elisha who went into a town called Shunem (Shunem means double resting place). There was a prominent woman there who prepared a meal for him and built a small upper room for him to stay each time he came to town. The room had a bed, a table, a chair and a lamp stand. She prepared this place for him because she perceived the anointing on his life.

 

Elisha wanted to pay her back for her kindness so he told his servant Gehazi to ask her what he could do for her. He even asked her if she wanted him to speak on her behalf to the king or the commander of the army. Gehazi told Elisha that her husband was old and that she didn't have a son. Elisha had the anointing and authority to prophesy into her life that she would have a son in one year. When he first prophesied this to her she didn't believe it. One year later she conceived and bore a son just as Elisha said.

 

After a few years her promised son died. She took him up to Elisha's room and laid him on his bed. When her husband questioned her what was wrong she replied "all is well". She then saddled her donkey and went to Mt. Carmel to look for Elisha. As she arrived in Mt. Carmel Elisha saw her afar off and sent his servant Gehazi to ask her if all was well with her husband and her child. She replied "all is well" because she believed the promise of God. When she told Elisha that the boy was dead, he sent Gehazi immediately back to the boy to lay his staff on his face. Then she said something familiar to Elisha that he always said to his mentor Elijah. She said: "As the Lord lives, and as you live I will not leave you."

 

Gehazi went ahead and did as he was told but returned to tell Elisha that the boy did not wake up. Elisha then went into the house himself, up to the room and shut the door. The boy was dead. He put his eyes to his eyes, mouth to his mouth, hands to his hands and stretched himself out on him. The boy's body became warm. Elisha then walked back and forth and then stretched out on the boy a second time. The boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes as life returned to his body. Elisha told the women to go into the room and pick up her son. God had resurrected the Shunamite woman's son. A similar miracle occurred in the same manner when his mentor Elijah raised a boy back to life. (1 Kings 17:19 - 24)

 

Commissioned to Your Call

 

There are promises that the Lord has made to you that have died. Some of you have ministries that were once thriving but are now nonexistent. Some of you used to heal the sick but you feel as if the glory has left you. The Lord wants to resurrect the gifts and callings that have perished. He is about to breathe into those situations that are impossible in the natural. Just as Elisha brought the Shunammite woman's dead son back to life as he laid on the boy mouth to mouth, eye to eye, hand to hand, the boy was restored back to life. He is going to resuscitate you with his breath and revive those dead areas in your life. He is breathing life into believers in this season of great exploits. Don't look at things in the natural because the Lord is about to commission you in what he has called you to do. As you rise up and decree and declare that "all is well" Jesus will honor your faith and raise that which is dead back to life.

 

2 Kings 4:32–35 When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

 

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

"A New Generation and a New Wine"

The Lord is raising up a generation in this hour. They are not just the Millennials, but they are also the middle-aged and the elderly who are stoked with the glory of God. They are not satisfied with average Christianity, but they are called to do great exploits. They are called to ignite the churches, to bring revival to the dead in Christ, to rescue those who are lost and do damage to the kingdom of darkness.

The Holy Spirit is showing me that there is a remnant who are being groomed and polished for a mighty revival. The first miracle that Jesus did was to turn water into wine at the marriage at Cana. There are some churches that are running out of wine and the Lord is about to send Jesus to fill the water pots. He is saving the best wine for last.

"When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

Being Consumed with His Glory

In the book of Acts chapter two, on the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together in one accord in the upper room. They created an atmosphere with their prayers and worship and "suddenly" there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole room where they were assembled. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. A large crowd gathered and was confused as they heard them speaking in their own language. They were so intoxicated with the new wine that some of the onlookers thought that they were drunk with wine. Peter then stood up with the other eleven apostles and said, "These men are not drunk as you suppose."

In the book of Acts chapter four, Peter and John were thrown into prison because they were speaking about Jesus being resurrected from the dead. A revival broke out in the prison and many were healed. Although Peter and John were threatened and told not to speak in Jesus' name, they were so consumed with His glory that they continued to speak about His miraculous power. They prayed and asked the Lord for boldness to heal, and that signs and wonders would be done through the name of Jesus. As they were praying, the building where they were assembled literally shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.

Another Outpouring is About to Begin

Another outpouring is about to begin. The Lord is raising up men and women who have been through the fire but don't even have a smell of smoke. He is raising up those who were once intoxicated with the things of the world but will now serve up the new wine. They are those who have abandoned their old wineskins and are filled with the new wine. They will bring words of direction and correction and release others into their destiny. He is raising up many prophetic voices throughout the land. They are those in the wilderness declaring the Word of the Lord. He is raising up those who will give glory to God and magnify Jesus in all that they say and do. 

"For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'And it shall come to pass in the last days,' says God, 'that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. We are living in extreme times as the world is living in extreme behavior, and now is the time for the body of Christ to rise up and come out of passive and lukewarm Christianity. Throughout the bible we read about radical men and women who were used mightily by God. Joseph was sold as a slave, tested and tried but stood steadfast until the word of the Lord came to pass. Pharaoh assigned him to be Vizier, which is the highest official in Ancient Egypt. (Psalm 105:19) Moses parted the Red Sea with a rod and the Israelites crossed over on dry ground but Pharoah and his army drowned as they tried to pursue them. (Exodus12:37–38) The total of Israelites who crossed over were 603,550 men plus women and children (Numbers 1:46)

 

David killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands and then killed Goliath with a sling and a stone. David raised up a mighty army who were so extreme that their faces were as the faces of lions and they were swift as gazelles on the mountains (1 Chronicles 12:8) Elijah outran Ahab's chariots, and also called down fire from heaven and the prophets of Baal's sacrifices were consumed. He was fed by ravens, raised the dead and passed his mantle to Elisha who then had a double portion anointing. (1 Kings 13:38) When Samson was tied up and handed over to the Philistines the Spirit of the Lord came upon him and the ropes on his hands were burned up. He then killed 1,000 Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey. (Judges 15:14-15)

 

Joshua prayed to the Lord to help him win the battle against the Amorites. He commanded the sun to be still and it obeyed and they had daylight for twenty-four hours. The Amorites were then defeated and Israel got the victory. (Joshua 10:13) Daniels friends Shadrach Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace and came out alive but the men that threw him in were killed by the fire. (Daniel 3:19-26) Daniel was thrown into the lion's den and came out unharmed. (Daniel 6:20) The apostle Paul was beaten with rods; he was shipwrecked, and thrown in jail. The Lord sent an angel and opened the prison doors. He performed countless miracles and even raised the dead. (Acts 20:9-10)

 

The Lord is looking for radical believers with extreme faith who are adamant and uncompromising to do great exploits in our day. He is looking for believers who dare to take Him at his word. They will not go in their own strength but in the anointing and authority that has been assigned to them through Jesus. They will be used to demonstrate the Kingdom of God with miracles, signs and wonders following. Jesus said, "Greater works than these will you do because I go to my father. He also said "In my name you will cast out demons, speak with new tongues; take up serpents; and if you drink anything deadly, it will by no means harm you; you will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

 

Go Where Others Fear

 

The Lord is looking for those who are not afraid to go into the enemies' camp and places where others fear to go. They are radical and have no hidden agendas but to do Gods will. They have been chosen to deliver others from the very things that they were set free from, and nothing will derail them from their mission.

 

He is looking for those who will release His glory wherever they go. They are not ashamed of the gospel and they will carry His word to the nations. They will stand strong in the face of adversity and never back down from what they believe. They certainly are peculiar people and have been chosen for a particular assignment. They will carry His anointing into the highways and the byways because they have become ablaze with his glory. He has made them to be a flame of fire to carry his word to the world. They are those who stand in the face of opposition and will not be afraid to go forth in his power. They are tenacious in faith and not lax in prayer and intercession. They are called to impart what the Lord has given to them. Their expectations are far above human reasoning.

 

Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies.

 

1 Chronicles 12:8 Some Gadites joined David at the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as gazelles on the mountains.

 

John 14:12-14 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

The Lord says I am calling the men and the woman who are mature in their faith to teach, nurture and be mentors to the younger ones. I am calling those of you who know Me, know My ways and have submitted your lives to the call. I am calling those of you to train, encourage and support those who are still on milk. I am looking for those of you who have been delivered from the strongholds of the enemy to strengthen the younger ones of the next generations. Those of you who understand the battle and are ready to serve on the front lines will be strong and do great exploits.

 

Joseph

 

I am calling forth the Josephs who have been put down and abused by others but have not taken offense. They have been dishonored and falsely accused but have not let go of their dreams. I will raise them up and reveal My goodness through their lives. I will use them as signs and wonders to the nations. They will be leaders and they will prosper in times of famine and teach others to do the same.

 

Moses

 

I am calling forth the Moses to raise up Joshuas; to train men how to be strong and very courageous; to train them in leadership and how to be tenacious in spiritual warfare; to teach them how to be more than conqueror's in every battle; to encourage them to pursue My plan and calling on their lives and never retreat in fiery trials.

 

Joshua and Caleb

 

I am calling forth the Joshuas and Calebs. They are strong and very courageous and will be leaders in My great army. They are those who have a different spirit and know that they are more than able to go in and possess the land that I have promised to them. They will always come back with a good report and never back down from the enemy. They will go forth in the battle because they know their authority over the giants in the land.

 

Naomi

 

I am calling forth the Naomis to train up the young Ruths - the godly women who will comfort and teach the younger woman how to live a lifestyle of integrity, sincerity and respect; to teach them how to walk in humility, wisdom and honor in their relationships.

 

Samuel

 

I am raising up the Samuels. Those who are called to speak as My voice to this generation. They have been marked from a young age. They will recognize My voice and are called to be prophets to the nations. They will discern false teachings and false prophets. They will walk in a life of victory because they are Spirit led and not led by their own desires. They know how to enter into the Holy of Holies, and will teach others how to enter without guilt or shame. Since the veil has been torn, they will come into this higher dimension, and they will receive the fullness of what I have for them.

 

Elijah

 

I am calling forth the Elijahs to train and raise up Elishas with a double portion of their spirit; to train the prophets and teach the younger ones how to be used in the gifts that I have freely given. To show them how to follow in their footsteps and be used in miracles, signs and wonders with respect and reverence of the anointing on their lives. They are those who follow Me closely and will not deviate off the narrow path.

 

Mary

 

I am calling the Marys. They are those who are highly favored and are carriers of My glory. They are those who have said in their hearts, "be it done unto me according to thy word." They have abandoned their lives and are impregnated with My seed. They are those who are in labor and ready to conceive. They have been overshadowed with My glory and My word dwells in them. They will produce great things as they bring forth My promises to the ends of the earth. For with Me nothing shall be impossible in their lives.

 

Paul

 

I am calling forth the Pauls who once had a different name but have been transformed. They are those who have overcome many battles. They have been delivered from the powers of darkness and will go in and rescue others. Follow them, as they follow Me and are My witnesses on this earth. They will be used greatly in miracles, signs and wonders. They will train up the young Timothy's and teach them how to pray. They will teach them how to refrain from sinful ways, and walk in the fear and admonition of the Lord. They will teach them to be strong in what they believe, fan the flames and stir up the gifts that were given to them. They will warn them against false teachings and false prophets, and to always endure hardness as good soldiers. They will encourage them, and teach them not to be ashamed of the gospel.

 

As you lead these young lambs, teach them how to always walk in love and keep a good conscience. Advise them on righteousness and to have clean hands and a pure heart at all times. Be an example to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with Me and let the Holy Spirit be your guide. I will give you the wisdom and knowledge that is required as you submit your lives to the call says the Lord.

 

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

 

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

 

Ephesians 4:11-13 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
