"A New Generation and a New Wine"
Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY

The Lord is raising up a generation in this hour. They are not just the Millennials, but they are also the middle-aged and the elderly who are stoked with the glory of God. They are not satisfied with average Christianity, but they are called to do great exploits. They are called to ignite the churches, to bring revival to the dead in Christ, to rescue those who are lost and do damage to the kingdom of darkness.

The Holy Spirit is showing me that there is a remnant who are being groomed and polished for a mighty revival. The first miracle that Jesus did was to turn water into wine at the marriage at Cana. There are some churches that are running out of wine and the Lord is about to send Jesus to fill the water pots. He is saving the best wine for last.

"When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

Being Consumed with His Glory

In the book of Acts chapter two, on the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together in one accord in the upper room. They created an atmosphere with their prayers and worship and "suddenly" there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing, mighty wind, and it filled the whole room where they were assembled. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. A large crowd gathered and was confused as they heard them speaking in their own language. They were so intoxicated with the new wine that some of the onlookers thought that they were drunk with wine. Peter then stood up with the other eleven apostles and said, "These men are not drunk as you suppose."

In the book of Acts chapter four, Peter and John were thrown into prison because they were speaking about Jesus being resurrected from the dead. A revival broke out in the prison and many were healed. Although Peter and John were threatened and told not to speak in Jesus' name, they were so consumed with His glory that they continued to speak about His miraculous power. They prayed and asked the Lord for boldness to heal, and that signs and wonders would be done through the name of Jesus. As they were praying, the building where they were assembled literally shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.

Another Outpouring is About to Begin

Another outpouring is about to begin. The Lord is raising up men and women who have been through the fire but don't even have a smell of smoke. He is raising up those who were once intoxicated with the things of the world but will now serve up the new wine. They are those who have abandoned their old wineskins and are filled with the new wine. They will bring words of direction and correction and release others into their destiny. He is raising up many prophetic voices throughout the land. They are those in the wilderness declaring the Word of the Lord. He is raising up those who will give glory to God and magnify Jesus in all that they say and do.

"For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 'And it shall come to pass in the last days,' says God, 'that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy." (Acts 2:15-18) (To Subscribe to the Elijah List subscribe here.)

A New Pentecost for a New Generation

Join us on our podcast each weekday for an interesting story, well told, from Charisma News. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Empowered21 is set to empower a new generation when it gathers in the year 2020 to celebrate Pentecost. June 1-3, thousands of believers from around the globe will gather for the Jerusalem 2020 Empowered21 Global Congress at Pais Arena in Jerusalem. Believers will celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit and begin to anticipate in 2033 the 2,000th anniversary of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit recorded in the book of Acts.
Oral Roberts University President and Empowered21 Global Co-Chair Dr. Billy Wilson along with Empowered21 Executive Director Ossie Mills and Israel's Ministry of Tourism North American Commissioner Uri Steinberg, announced this historic event at the recent National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Click on this link to see the announcement.
"Our vision within the Empowered21 network is to unite the global Spirit-empowered movement, connecting nations and generations in the 21st century," said Dr. Wilson. "Our goal is for every individual in the world to have an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit by Pentecost 2033."
"Your life will never be the same when you visit Israel," said Mills. "There's nothing quite like visiting the places where Jesus walked, taught and worshipped. During your time in Jerusalem you will be inspired, encouraged, renewed, transformed and empowered."
The first global Jerusalem Congress was hosted by Empowered21 in May 2015 and attended by nearly 5,000 people from more than 70 nations. Television networks all over the world carried the event, and an additional 180,000 people from 127 countries watched sessions through live streaming. Jack Hayford, Christine Caine, Samuel Rodriguez and other Spirit-empowered leaders led the call to Congress attendees to celebrate Pentecost in the Land of Pentecost. It is with that same passion and purpose that the Jerusalem 2020 Empowered21 Global Congress will continue to challenge and inspire Spirit-empowered believers to reach the world for Christ.
A list of speakers for the 2020 Congress will be announced soon. Joining them and the thousands of attendees will be worship teams from Bethel WorshipGateway Worship and Planetshakers for three days of teaching, worship, and prayer that calls upon God to pour out His Spirit once again in a powerful and world-changing way.
Three years ago, nearly 5,000 Spirit-empowered Christians from more than 70 nations converged on Pais Arena Jerusalem in response to the call to celebrate Pentecost in the land of Pentecost. The event was broadcast live by multiple networks including GodTv, TBN Australia, TBN Russia and TBN Pacific and streamed live to another 180,000 people in 127 countries. Some 130 noted leaders from the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement such as Jack Hayford, Christine Caine and Samuel Rodriguez challenged and inspired believers to reach the world through an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
Reflecting on the outcome of the first Empowered21 Global Congress, Oral Roberts University President and Empowered21 Global Co-Chair Dr. Billy Wilson said, "We believe that the fresh outpouring of God's Spirit on us in Jerusalem will create ripples around the world for advancing the cause of Christ. The best days for the Spirit-empowered movement are still ahead. We can't and won't rest until everyone has an opportunity to experience Jesus Christ through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit."
The effect of this landmark event is visible and growing as thousands more have attended regional Congress events in Singapore and London, with upcoming events to be held in 2018-2019 in Riga, Latvia; Dublin, Ireland; Johannesburg, South Africa; Athens, Greece; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Guatemala City, Guatemala—all setting the stage for the  Jerusalem 2020 Empowered21 Global Congress and for 2033, the 2,000th anniversary of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as recorded in the book of Acts.
The five-day event in 2015 was marked by general sessions of worship, prayer, and preaching complemented by a variety of ministry tracks from some of the most notable leaders around the world. From topics such as Business Leadership God's Way" to "Values and Ministry" to "Prophecy and the End Times," believers were equipped to take the Spirit-empowered message of Christ to their respective parts of the world.
On Pentecost Sunday, thousands gathered once again for a day of prayer and worship culminating that evening in a time of honoring Reinhard Bonnke, Morris Cerullo, Jack Hayford, Marilyn Hickey, David Mainse and Vinson Synan with the first Lifetime Global Impact Award. The service concluded with a special time where every attendee was anointed with oil and given a bottle of olive oil from the Holy Land. This oil was given to remind them to share God's power through all the earth.
"We couldn't be more excited to be a part of what God is doing in these days," stated Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship Dr. George O. Wood. "We truly believe that the Jerusalem 2020 Empowered21 Global Congress will be instrumental in uniting believers and preparing the next generation to reach others throughout the world with the Spirit-empowered message of Christ."

The New Ben-Hur: Retelling an Epic Classic for a New Generation - CBN News Efrem Graham +0

The New Ben-Hur: Retelling an Epic Classic for a New Generation
08-17-2016
CBN News Efrem Graham

LOS ANGELES -- Ben-Hur is often called of the greatest stories ever told. On August 19, Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey are delivering new twists and turns in their $100 million remake of the film based on the more than 130-year-old Lew Wallace novel.
"I think that one of the most interesting things about Ben-Hur is that you have this fictional story, set at this time in Jerusalem and it gives a real historical and political context to the world in which Jesus was born, a very complicated time," Downey told CBN News.
"(It was) a time of great civil unrest, and in injustice and heartache and hurt for an enormous amount of people and we are following the journey of these two brothers, Judah and Messala and we literally just kind of bump into Jesus in the market place."
Brother Against Brother
The story pits brother against brother. Jack Huston, who originally had intentions of playing the role of Messala, plays Judah Ben-Hur.

"I thought I had a better shot at getting Messala," Huston said. "I think Messala is one of the great characters. But it was a nice segue way into Judah, because it gave me a very deep understanding of my brother and a deep love for my brother."
The brothers, Judah and Messala, battle in a fierce chariot race, where losing could mean dying.

"We shot the chariots for three months of the six months (of film production)," said Toby Kebbell, who plays Mesalla.
Kebbell and Huston didn't use stunt doubles for the scenes even as their horses reached racing speeds of more than 40 miles per hour.
The chariot scenes got so intense Kebbell says he ended up with a chipped tooth.
"A stone hit me in the tooth," he recalled. "It was actually wonderful. I know that sounds repulsive but it was actually a great experience."

Director Timur Bekmambetov guided the horse racing experience, with cameras at every angle. He watched hours of YouTube videos of NASCAR, formula one, and motorcycle races to prepare.
"It was really important to make this world look real and relatable. In today's world we are watching YouTube videos. It is what we know about the world, we are watching YouTube videos," Bekmambetov said.
An Intimidating Project
The chariot race is what most remember from critically acclaimed 1959 version of the film starring Charlton Heston.
The original movie was one of Burnett's favorites. He said producing a new version was quite intimidating.
"When Gary Barber, the chairman of MGM came to us having seen 'The Bible,' 'Son of God,' and 'A.D.' and realized what we brought to those projects, he thought we would be a good addition to his team," Burnett recalled.
"We talked it through," he explained. "We prayed on it and decided that we should take the challenge, because the opportunity may never come along again."
Re-telling this story is an opportunity many cast members hoped would come their way.
"This story is so relevant to today. I mean there has been turmoil throughout history. But right now you are seeing so much negativity and so much hate spewed out in response to hate," Nazanin Boniadi, who plays Esther, said.

"Martin Luther King said it best: Darkness doesn't drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate doesn't drive out hate. Only love can do that," she said. "This film is about love conquering hate."

Five Spiritual Trends That Will Change
The World in 2016
By Rick Joyner

MorningStar Prophetic Bulletin #97 - January 21, 2016

The premise of my last Prophetic Bulletin on the five trends that would change the natural world in 2016 began unfolding faster and with more impact than I expected. I wrote that it would happen in the first quarter of this year, but I honestly did not expect it to begin on the first day as it did. My prayer now is that what I’ve been shown that will unfold in the Spirit will likewise come faster and with greater impact. What is coming in the Spirit is the antidote to the troubles of the world. It is far more exciting than anything the world has seen.
We all “see in part,” but these are the five most important trends I saw unfolding that we will begin to see emerging this year:
  • A new reformation of the church will begin to take definition.
  • Councils of leaders will begin to form with true apostolic authority.
  • A kingdom economy will begin to form.
  • A new generation of prophets and teachers will begin to emerge with unprecedented authority and influence
  • So many Christians will rise up in Europe and North America with zeal and focus that it will be recognized as another Great Awakening, while the moves of God in the rest of the world will gain new traction.
A New Reformation of the Church Will Begin to Take Definition
I have been seeing and speaking on this for many years. Over time, I have seen more of what this will look like. One of the biggest changes with the greatest impact will be the body of Christ beginning to take on the military aspects we are called to have to become the army of the Lord we are called to be. I just published a book on this entitled, Army of the Dawn. One pastor just told me he thought this was my best book yet. That is a matter of perspective and also timeliness, but I know its message is on time. We will see the greatest force for the gospel since the Lord Himself walked the earth. Since this book has already received wide distribution, I will not say any more about this here.
The second aspect of this reformation I was shown is how the body of Christ will become the “city” it’s called to be. A change is coming to church life that will be more profound than we have yet seen. It will be based more on koinonia than ecclesia. This does not negate the need for ecclesia (the government and structure of the church), but according to I John 1:7, we abide in the light by having koinonia, not ecclesia.Koinonia determines if we are walking in the light because it is based on love first, not organization first. Again, this is not negating the need for organization and government, but it is a matter of getting the horse in front of the cart and building on the right foundation. The result will be spectacular.
The fellowship and union coming to the body of Christ will cause the church to be the “city set on a hill” that gets everyone’s attention. It will be the greatest society the world has seen since the first century, eclipsing even what was experienced then. “The glory of the latter house will be greater than the former” (see Haggai 2:9), causing the church to become the light it is called to be in the dark and confusing times the world is sliding into. This fellowship will become so wonderful that Christians will want to meet every day. Christian communities will begin forming again, having their own infrastructure, and ultimately, their own economy.
Of course we won’t see this happen in a year, but we will see the beginning of it. Ultimately no sporting event, entertainment, or other event will compare with the life and excitement found in the church.
Councils of Leaders Will Begin to Form with True Apostolic Authority
I was first shown in 1987 that this was coming. I think this has happened to a degree in some places, but not on the level that I saw. This year we will begin to see the real thing, but in its formative stage. Ultimately these councils will help release extraordinary authority and life in the church. They will moor the church to its right biblical foundation, giving it the stability that some of the greatest missions and ministries will be built upon.
This year we will see increasing grace on leadership meetings, especially those that cross denominational and movement boundaries, beginning to bring the necessary interchange and cross pollination in the church.
A Kingdom Economy Will Begin to Form
Ultimately the body of Christ will have its own economy that will grow with consistency and strength. Because of this, no Christian will need to be concerned about the mark of the beast. However, this is not just about having an alternative to the beast—it is laying a foundation for the economy of the coming kingdom of God, one built on the greatest economic principle: “Love never fails” (see I Corinthians 13:8).
As world markets continue to shake, plunge, and collapse, the kingdom economy cannot go down because “there will be no end to the increase of His kingdom” (see Isaiah 9:7). Whatever is truly built on the kingdom has to increase. For those looking for a safe place to put investments, it won’t get any safer or better than this emerging kingdom economy. For those saying, “Where is it?”, you can’t see it if you do not see the kingdom. If we can see His kingdom, we will see its economy as it emerges.
We must be born again to see the kingdom, but not everyone who is born again sees the kingdom. To see the kingdom we must use the key to the kingdom. That key is Matthew 6:33: “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
A New Generation of Prophets and Teachers Will Begin to Emerge with Worldwide Authority and Influence
The Holy Spirit is moving. One characteristic of every true move of the Spirit is a growing love of the truth and an increasing love for the Scriptures (the Holy Spirit’s bestselling book). At the same time, many called as teachers to the body that have devoured the Word of God and accumulated knowledge and understanding on a host of topics will be used to build the church, preparing it for what it is called to be in these times. The Lord really has saved His best wine for last. The quality of what He will serve His people will eclipse anything ever experienced before.
Knowledge has greatly increased in the natural. What is about to be released in the Spirit will mirror this. For those who love knowledge, truth, wisdom, and understanding, there has never been a better time to be alive. This increasing love for the Scriptures will be contagious, helping to feed and strengthen every move of God now unfolding.
Prophetic revelation will also eclipse anything God’s people have experienced before. As we are told in Acts 2:17-18, “in the last days” the Lord will pour forth His Spirit, resulting in “dreams, visions, and prophecy” upon the old and young, men and women. We will begin to see a new wave of the prophetic released. This happens “in the last days” because in these times, we will need this kind of specific direction and guidance. At times it may be life or death to hear Him say to us not to go somewhere, or to go where we are not intending. We will all need this kind of sensitivity to the Spirit in the times to come, and we will get it.
I saw the emerging prophetic ministers as mountain climbers. They would go up a little bit and secure their new position with stakes driven deep into the rock, fastening themselves to the mountain and to each other. Then they would go a little higher and do the same again. This time will not be like having a lot of individuals scattered all over the mountain climbing virtually alone. The emerging prophets will be secured to each other and to the mountain of the house of the Lord.
So Many Christians Will Rise Up with Zeal and Focus that it Will be Recognized as Another Great Awakening
The plagues that came upon Egypt parallel the ones in the Book of Revelation. This is because the plagues at the end of this age have the same purpose as the ones that came upon Egypt—to set God’s people free. For the last few years, some have awakened and begun to seek the kingdom first above anything else. These will be powerful messengers who will help wake up the rest of the body of Christ.
An awakened, encouraged church is also the most powerful evangelistic force there has ever been. As this Awakening continues to unfold, there will be many new believers. We are entering the first stages of the great harvest that is the end of this age. This will be the greatest ingathering there has ever been. It will change the spiritual and moral fabric of nations, profoundly changing the church throughout the earth. The church is then going to help change the earth and prepare the way for the coming King.

Something Is About to Change - David Ravenhill (Identity Network)

Something Is About to Change By David Ravenhill

David Ravenhill

For almost 50 years of ministry, I have heard the prophetic community tell us we are on the verge of something new. They use terms like a new anointing, new alignment, new generation, new move, a new season, change is coming, there is a shift in the heavenlies and God is about to do a new thing. Others have told us God is raising up a new company. I don't recall how many new companies I've heard about over the past 50 years. There have been at least a dozen or more that come to mind.

This growing chorus of change seems to be getting louder and louder. However, by the time one word regarding change is given, another has already replaced it.

This all begs the question: Are these genuine words or just the earnest desire of those longing for some type of recognition in the prophetic community? While the answer may well be yes to both of these possibilities, there is also a third one to consider.

Just the other day, I was reading Paul's letter to the Romans where he tells us, "The anxious longing of creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. ... For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now" (Rom. 8:19, 22, NASB). Not only does Paul tell us that all of creation is in labor, but he goes on to state,"And not only this, but also we ourselves … groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies" (v. 23.)

I believe what we are hearing from our prophetic brethren is the groaning and longing of those who yearn for the fullness of God's purpose to be revealed. This deep longing is being expressed through them in a variety of ways and words. They are feeling and sensing what creation is going through and can sympathize and identify with it. While not content to settle for things the way they are, they are voicing their frustration and longing through these cries of change.

Does God Change His Mind?

I have never held to the belief that God is forever updating and changing His plans as though His former plans were failing. It has always troubled me to hear that God is about to do something new, which implies He wasn't doing it that way before.

Take, for instance, "a new anointing for evangelism." Does that mean all of a sudden God has had a change of mind regarding the lost? I don't think so! His longing to seek and save the lost has no variation whatsoever.

There is no doubt in my mind that we, along with the rest of creation, have not yet fully seen all that God has prepared for us. While I don't pretend to know all that is implied by Paul's phrase "the sons of God," I do know that it is not a new company that will proudly strut their spiritual superiority before the rest of the body of Christ.

The day is rapidly dawning in which we will see all our longings, desires and groanings realized, which will be "the redemption of our bodies." The birth pangs are definitely intensifying and becoming more frequent with each passing day.

Until that day, let's patiently bear with those who can't fully articulate what they are feeling other than to say, "I'm sensing something is about to change."
