After seventy years of Babylonian rule, Cyrus grants permission for the exiled Jews to return to the Land of Israel and rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem. This was a fulfillment of the prophecy of Jeremiah, that after 70 years the Lord would return the Jews people home (Jeremiah 29:10). Just as He fulfilled His word to return the Jews to the Land of Israel after the first exile, God has begun to fulfill His promise to gather the exiles from the four corners of the earth and bring the ultimate redemption (Deuteronomy 30:3-5). Since the establishment of the State of Israel, millions of Jews have returned from over 100 countries. With summer around the corner, the youth of Israel will be out of school and require safe and educational activities. This summer, Meir Panim is gearing up to provide at-risk youth in Israel with recreational activities to keep them out of trouble and engaged while school is out.
