Restoration of Relationships (Part 2 of 2) - Now Think On This by Steve Martin

Restoration of Relationships (Part 2 of 2)
Now Think On This
Steve Martin

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

15 If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 28 And God… (I Corinthians 12:12-28, NKJV)

When I wrote the first Now Think On This - Restoration of Relationships message last week on the Lord wanting to restore relationships, I thought it was a one-time deal. But this morning in my time with Him (Nov. 5, 2018, at 4:45 am) He, the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, said there was a Part II to be written. (Maybe in a few days there will be a Part III!)

So, as it is my desire to hear and obey the Lord, Who knows all, this is Part II. (You can read Part I here: Restoration of Relationships Part I.

Briefly, in Part I, I made a comparison that as the Lord God of Israel was returning His chosen ones back to the Promised Land (Eretz Yisrael – the land of Israel), so He simultaneously was also drawing His church Body back together. As with Israel in the natural, so with the Church in the spiritual. Within His Body on earth, He is bringing both believing Jew and Gentile back together as one, His One New Man, even as it was in the first century.

Joshua Aaron's "Bring Us Back"
As I allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal even more of what He wanted to share now, I strongly felt in my spirit that He wants the fallen, those who quit the race, the down and out, former members of churches, to be brought back. I could hear Joshua Aaron singing “Bring Us Back” in my head. Our Lord, Father God, is crying out for the Jews in the world, scattered through the Diaspora in centuries gone by, to make aliyah, to come back to Israel. With the same heart as that, the Lord is wanting the Christians, those who were strong and flourishing members of our churches in days gone by, to come back. He needs them. We need them.

Personally, I can think of many whom I loved and walked within the past, in the several churches Laurie and I have been with.

Guys like Dave and Michelle, so giving of themselves in serving the leaders, and yet getting hurt, and leaving. Where are they now? Come back!

Mike, who could really play that electric guitar on the worship team Laurie and I led. Mike, come back!

And Bob and Bonnie – our “right arm joint”, who sought the Lord together in the Watch of the Lord so many days gone by. If you are not in a fellowship this day, somewhere, come back!

Kelly – I love you man! Restoration is always possible with our Lord Jesus!

I wholeheartedly believe it is the Lord’s immense heart, in these end of days, to bring restoration of relationships, from the years, maybe even decades or so ago, back together again. Restoration of these vital body joints, Body members that once were, are so needed together again. We can complete and fulfill the Lord’s plans and purposes. That is His ever-reaching out heart.

We know that the sadistic enemy does not play fair. He is evil, bankrupt, and continually seeks to “kill, steal and destroy.” But he doesn’t have the final say!

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (I Peter 5:8-11, NKJV)

Maybe you are one who at one time thrived in the church, but someone said something, did something, wrote something that put an arrow in your heart, and you walked away.

We have all experienced hurt, deception, being simply wronged. Yes, it hurt extremely, but we MUST forgive, we must forget, we must get back into that which we once knew. Our lives certainly depend on it. Our families depend on it. Others who have had the same experience as you need new life once again too. Come back!

Love covers a multitude of sins. Love restores. Love gives new vision.
Our God is the God of Love. And thus, so must we become that which He is.

And we will, for Jesus (Yeshua) already prayed it thus so, in John 17. His love, to bring unity to His joined people, will be well known and be brought to completion. He IS going to show the world the truth of His great compassion, mercy, and forgiveness.

“Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
So they might be one heart and mind with us.
Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me.

The same glory you gave me, I gave them,
So they'll be as unified and together as we are —

I in them and you in me.
Then they'll be mature in this oneness,
And give the godless world evidence
That you've sent me and loved them
In the same way you've loved me.”

(John 17:21-23, THE MESSAGE)

Guess what? I think Jesus’ prayer will be answered with a “Yeah and amen!” It will be another “It is finished!” moment.

This world has gotten dark. Real dark. Not only do we need each other to come back together and stand strong together, to be lights in the world, but those who don’t know the Lord need Him, and His united Body on earth.

It WILL happen! I hope you are a part of it too.

Shalom and ahava (peace and love in Hebrew).

GREAT GOD Part II - Pastor Sunday Abel Oyewale, Nigeria

GREAT GOD
Part II
Pastor Sunday Abel Oyewale, Nigeria

Psalm 139:1-14

1 O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

One page is definitely not enough to praise this great God, neither are all the pages of this book sufficient to extol His Names. This God is greater than the greatest.

Think of anything great that anyone has ever done; my God has surely done greater. In mathematics, He is the greatest. He perfectly calculated the distance needed between all the elements of the universe and their velocities, so that they move together and are just at the right distances apart to maintain a balance. He is also bigger that the biggest, so much so that He uses the whole earth as His footstool (Isaiah 66:1). For someone’s feet to be so big that He needs a footstool as large as the earth, you can be sure that He is indeed a very big fellow. No other entity is as big as this. In like manner, He is richer than the richest. My God has never gone broke, and He can never be broke.

The whole earth and its fullness are His: all the natural resources and precious stones, known and unknown to man, belong to Him. He is the God that has money everywhere, even in the belly of a fish (Matthew 17:24-27). A Bible scholar once explained his take on what Jesus meant when He said He would do whatever we ask in His Name (John 14:13-14). He explained that the literal translation of that scripture to English from Greek is that even if we ask Him for anything that does not exist; He will create it and give it to us. He is so rich that He even possesses things that are not yet in existence! He can therefore never be stranded. He will show Himself through you as one who is richer than the richest in Jesus’ Name.

My God can do all things. He not only raised the dead, He also raised up dry bones and transformed them into a mighty army (Ezekiel 37:1-10). Psalm 139 says my God knows all things, and nothing is hidden from Him. He is everywhere, and so he sees everything.

You can’t run away from His presence. Furthermore, He can heal all sicknesses and diseases. In Matthew 8:3, Jesus touched a man with leprosy. Not only did He not get infected with the disease, the man was also healed instantly.

During one of our Holy Ghost Services in Nigeria, God instructed that all those who had incurable diseases should come to the front of the alter, and I should just walk in front of them with my prayer staff. As I did as instructed, they were getting healed. Those whose healing required surgery just fell and slept while God performed the needed operation on them with invisible hands. After that night, several people testified of getting healed of incurable diseases.

Who is God to you? Is He your doctor or your provider? Is He your helper and your friend? A popular saying goes, “show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.” If you make Jesus your friend, He will also give you the ability to do all that He can do.

Come to the winning side today and surrender your life to this great God.

May God Bless you all.
