The Real Reason the Enemy Is Targeting You Right Now - TERESA SHIELDS PARKER CHARISMA MAGAZINE

The enemy has a plan for your life. (Seth Doyle)

The SpiritLed Woman podcast is empowering women weekly to follow their purpose in Christ and boldly walk in faith. Listen at charismapodcastnetwork.com.

Do you know that the enemy believes in your greatness more than you do? Why do you think you are battling fear, discouragement, frustration and brokenness? The enemy would not mess with you if you were no threat to him, if you were not about to step into your destiny.
Stirring
He knows beyond a shadow of a doubt God is preparing you for greater things, greater vision, greater impact on the world. He knows it because he feels the movement in your spirit, the turning of your heart towards God. Until he sees that, he knows he doesn't have to work hard to keep you ineffective. When God begins stirring your spirit, the evil one wakes up and starts to work.
He puts together an action plan designed specifically to thwart your forward advance. He knows he can't stop God, but he also knows he's stopped you before and he'll try again. Why? Because his main mission is to "steal, kill and destroy"1 your destiny.
Most of the time, he doesn't have to work hard. It doesn't take much to throw you off course. All he has to do is throw together a few things that he knows will cause fear to rise up in you, and then he's got you.
Fear
Fear is one of his biggest weapons because it's just False Evidence Appearing Real. In other words, he does what he does best. He lies to you. He loves to do that. He's a master at it. "When he lies, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies."2
He whispers half-truths and lies and builds them in your mind until you are so afraid you cannot move. Paralyzed with fear, you cower and hide. "It would be better for me to go back to the way I was," you tell yourself. "At least then I didn't have all these things coming against me."
It's exactly what the children of Israel said in the wilderness. They wanted to go back because they were afraid they would die. Even the being in bondage in Egypt looked better than going through what they had to go through to get to the Promised Land.3
Destiny Sign
Don't worry, though, you can immediately recognize what he is doing. It's like he's flashing a neon arrow right at the very thing that will move you to your next step into your destiny.
Just look at what you afraid of. He's going to throw a roadblock of fear so you won't go forward. So stop and think through this. What is the biggest thing you are afraid of? Where is your greatest area of resistance? What causes you to say, "That's impossible? I could never do that."
Just remember what Joseph said to his brothers: "you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good."4
Many things look impossible, but when you surrender and allow God to take over, all things are possible.5
Possibilitarian
God makes you a possibilitarian when you finally get a vision for what He is doing in you and on the earth. Of course things are impossible in your own strength.
When you surrender your weaknessesat His feet, God says, "Good, now you're ready to take this on, because you can't, but I can through you. When you are weak, then I am strong."7
Courage
What if when fear starts rising up in you, instead of running the other way, you run towards it. You take God at His Word and do what He says. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."8
In the strength and power of God, you walk towards the fear and right through it because on the other side of that fear is your breakthrough, your greater, your appointment with destiny.
Promised Land
Kris Vallotton of Bethel Church says it this way, "On the other side of fear is your Promised Land." Vallotton goes on to say that of the 10 who went to spy out the Promised Land, eight came back afraid of giants in the land. Look back at the scriptures. They never encountered a giant in the Promised Land until Goliath during David's time. "They were afraid of an illusion. They saw what they feared," he said.
What are you afraid of? God is not worried about it. He sees you as a mighty person of valor, just like he did Gideon hiding out in the winepress.8 God sees beyond your circumstances to your destiny.
He's already got it prepared for you. Now, hand your fear to Him and just walk into your greater.

The Real Reason Anti-Semitism Exists - PAUL WILBUR/REVIVEISRAEL.ORG CHARISMA MAGAZINE

Is it any wonder anti-Semitism is growing?

Standing With Israel
This month (March 23-24) is the celebration of Purim. Most people do not notice that the book of Esther takes place at the same time as the prophetic books of Zechariah and Haggai. What is the significance of this timing?
In the books of Zechariah and Haggai, we find a small, Jewish remnant having returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the altar, the Temple and the city. In the book of Esther, we find a worldwide wave of anti-Semitism coming out of Persia (ancient Iran). There is a connection between the two.
The restoration of Jerusalem represents the advancement of the kingdom of God. The wave of anti-Semitism is an evil movement that represents a spiritual attack on that kingdom restoration. The restoration of a faithful remnant in Jerusalem fuels the hatred against the Jewish people. The destruction of the kingdom remnant in Jerusalem is the goal of international anti-Semitism and genocide.
We see a similar pattern today that has a similar prophetic significance. The nation of Israel has been restored, even with Jerusalem as its capital. The Messianic remnant of faith within Israel is being restored at the same time. There is a worldwide movement of propaganda and terror whose central aim is to discredit Jewish claims to Jerusalem and to destroy Israel.
Both in the time of Zechariah and today, the logic of this spiritual warfare has to do with stopping the return of Messiah. The first restoration of Israel led to the first coming of Yeshua. The second restoration will lead to the second coming of Yeshua.
Yeshua indicated in Matthew 23:39 that His return will be at the response to the nation of Israel—especially Jerusalem—calling for His return with the cry of "Blessed be He who comes in the name of YHVH." The nation of Israel is in place; a Messianic Jewish remnant in Israel and Jerusalem is growing little by little.
The devil knows his time is short and therefore is hysterical, panicking and angry (Rev. 12:12). Therefore, such demonic hatred, lies and murder are being released against the plan of God. This is the hidden spiritual cause of much of the evil happening in world politics today.

Experts say that nearly 4,000 churches close every year in America and over 3,500 people leave the church every single day.
Church is boring, and many churches are dying because the power of God has vanished from the pulpit as well as the pew. Like Samson, they "know not that the Spirit of the Lord has departed" (cf. Judge 16:20). But there is hope if we once again seek God. "Light yourself on fire with passion and people will come from miles to watch you burn" (John Wesley).
We need genuine revival preaching: "Revival preaching is more concerned about an outcome than an outline. The revival preacher is more aware of his text than the time. He is bent on pleasing the Lord rather than pleasing men. His ear is tuned to hear and heed the voice of God" (Harold Vaughan). "We need more prophets in our pulpits and less puppets" (Leonard Ravenhill).
Many know about 2 Chronicles 7:14, but fail to apply it: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
God's call is not to Hollywood, Washington, or the media, but to us. If "My people" turn back to Me I will heal and restore. We have a form of microwave Christianity. Service times are cut to just over an hour, prayer is glanced over, and worship is designed to entertain the masses. "People are bored," they say, "so our services need to be more appealing." You can increase attendance with slick marketing and entertaining services, but you'll miss the heart of God. The church will be a mile wide but only an inch deep.
To seek in the context of 2 Chronicles 7:14 means to "find what is missing." The Hebrew word for seek, baqash, has a very strong meaning. Imagine losing your child in a crowded mall. Your entire heart would be engaged. How would you spend your time? Where would your energy be concentrated? Now parallel this with seeking God.
I've often said that one of the most difficult challenges associated with pastoring is not sermon preparation, leading a church, or taxing counseling appointments; it's witnessing the tragic results of spiritual dehydration—watching people die spiritually with living water just steps away. Sadly, we are too busy and too self-absorbed to truly seek Him.
In today's culture, there are countless enticements that pull us away from God. It is my firm belief that, second only to salvation, seeking God is the most important aspect of the Christian life ... to truly know God: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13).
Very few of us ever experience this close relationship with God because it involves things such as humility, dying to self, vibrant prayer, and heart-felt worship. This isn't meant to discourage, but to convict. Conviction is a wonderful gift from God used to turn the heart back to Him.
Let's be honest: how many can truly say like Jeremiah, "His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot" (Jeremiah 20:9)? How many have truly experienced Jesus' words in John 7:38, "Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water?" How many can truly relate to "times of refreshing" found in Acts 3:19?
Many have head knowledge, but they've never truly experienced the presence of God. Often, it's because of ongoing and unconfessed sin. Being tempted isn't sin—surrendering to it is. Temptation is also an opportunity to do what is right by turning from it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 states, "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
This "way of escape" is ultimately what tilts the scale toward seeking God. When we flee temptation, turn from sin, and seek God, the by-product is the filling of the Spirit. The door of temptation swings both ways—you can enter or exit. If we choose to enter, once inside, we may not see the exit sign so clearly again.
I'll close with a correspondence I received from a man before he fully sought God with all his heart, "I had become someone I never thought I would become. I was in complete darkness ... I would sleep in my clothes for as long as I could. I began wishing that I would die. The emotional pain was unbearable."
Here is his correspondence after he passionately sought God and surrendered his life to Him. "I only wish that everyone could feel the love that I experienced. I'm able to forgive others and genuinely love them. I feel like I have been re-born ... elusive peace has now been found."
How long will you waver? If God is God, follow Him (cf. 1 Kings 18:21).
