In the above verse, Isaiah’s prophecy of the impending salvation is combined with a vision of the birth of a child. Throughout the preceding three chapters of Isaiah, the Prophet combined prophecies of redemption with announcements of upcoming births. These dual-themed prophecies signify that even if the present situation is difficult, the future will be brighter and full of new life.
