'Operation Exodus' Helping US Jews Return to Israel - Charlene Aaron CBN News

'Operation Exodus' Helping US Jews Return to Israel
02-08-2016

CBN News
Earlier this year, immigrants from North America landed at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport to make Israel their home.
Seeing Jewish people return to Israel is literally watching Bible prophecy unfold. Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel speak of the Jewish return to their ancestral homeland.

"It says several times in Isaiah, 'I will lift up a banner to nations' -- to the gentiles. They shall bring your sons and your daughters back," Operation Exodus head Debra Minotti told CBN News.
Operation Exodus helps Jews return to Israel. Minotti said there's been a 79 percent increase in inquiries about assistance with immigrating since 2014.
"If I can just give glory to God because this is His work," Minotti said. "In 1948, Israel had 800,000 Jewish people in the land, and they became a nation in one day like Isaiah said. Now there's over 6 million, so that is incredible over 67 years. And so they're going back by the plane loads yearly."
"Last year, there were 27,000 [who] made aliyah [immigrate to Israel under the Law of Return]," she continued. "And [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin [Netanyahu] said...this year he said to the Jews of the world, 'Israel is waiting for you with open arms.'"

"So there are miracles happening right in front of our eyes -- that He says, 'I will bring them back from around the world -- the north, the south, the east and west for His name's sake," she said.
Operation Exodus partners with the Jewish Agency of Israel and other groups to help U.S. Jews immigrate to Israel.
The organization also provides humanitarian aid to Holocaust survivors and others in the former Soviet Union.
A big part in helping those seeking to return is the power of prayer.
"We pray for their safety. We also pray that they would get jobs quickly and [for] those things that are holding them back here, the frustrations," Minotti said. "You know, there's family issues going on, children who are sick."
Minotti said Jews are returning to Israel for many reasons.
"Many of them are saying, 'HaShem [Elohim] is calling us back to the land.' Others are saying, 'I want my children to be raised in a Jewish homeland.' Others are saying, 'I want to defend Israel. I want to be there, I'm a Zionist," she explained.
Minotti added that some are saying "this is 1939 and we see the handwriting on the wall."
"Anti-Semitism in New York is also up 27 to 28 percent so you look at the Bible, you look at the newspaper, and then we need to take action," she said. "And there's nothing more spoken in the Bible right now than His nation, strengthening it and returning the Jewish people to the land. He says, 'I will do this. I will do it to vindicate his name.'"
Motivated by love for Israel and the Jewish people, Operation Exodus offers Minotti and others the opportunity to work with God to bring His prophecies to pass.
"You wake up and you think, what an awesome responsibility and what an awesome joy it is at the same time," Minotti said. "It is deep joy and there's a cost to standing with Israel and it's intense, but I love it and our workers love it, our volunteers love it. It's only going to grow."

COMMENTARY: Is Israel a Chosen People? - November 09, 2015 | Brian Hennessy - ISRAEL TODAY

COMMENTARY: Is Israel a Chosen People?

Monday, November 09, 2015 |  Brian Hennessy

To ask whether the family of Abraham was uniquely chosen by God may sound like a foolish question to those who call themselves ‘Zionists.’ Yet entire Christian denominations today hold fast to a theology that denies God the freedom to show special favor to anyone, including the Jews. And I’m not speaking of Replacement Theology.
The theology I’m referring to is Arminianism. It was named after Jacob Arminius who obviously didn’t take seriously the words of God spoken by the prophet Amos, “You only have I chosen from among all the families of the earth” (Amos 3:2). Or Jesus: “You did not choose me. But I chose you” (John 15:16). Or Paul: “He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” (Eph. 1:4).
Instead, Arminius’s belief informed him it would be unfair for our Heavenly Father to favor one part of His human creation above the rest. It insisted all should be treated equally. In so teaching, Arminius completely ignored Paul’s response to man questioning God’s freedom to do as He pleases, when he wrote, “Who are you, O man, who answers back to God?... Does not the potter have the right over the clay to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?” (Rom. 9:20,21)
Worse, this teaching feeds into the anti-Semitism of Replacement Theology that specifically wants to remove all consideration of the Jewish people from having any favor with God today. It may grudgingly admit God chose Israel for a time in order to bring forth the Messiah. But once Yeshua came it’s believed God did away with the idea of having a chosen people and the Jews are just like every other unsaved person now.
Of course, when Arminius first promoted his ‘unchosen’ theology in the late sixteenth century the Jews were not uppermost in his mind. Replacement Theology, along with the Jews’ fallen state of affairs, had pretty much taken them out of the running. No, he was mainly trying to counter the teaching of John Calvin who had taught God was graciously drawing to Jesus only those He had pre-chosen to be saved (as John 6:44 clearly states). Arminius insisted God had left it up to each individual to choose his own fate by either his acceptance or rejection of the Gospel. For him man’s free will was inviolable, and God’s free will must bow to it. But that not only undermines God’s sovereignty, it mocks the very definition of a Supreme God…”who works all things after the counsel of His will” (Eph. 1:11).
I bring up this centuries-old controversy of Arminianism because I believe it is contributing greatly to the confusion among believers today regarding the restoration of Israel. For if God is not hand-picking those who are to be His people in the Israel of God, how can He call forth the remnant of Abraham’s seed? Doesn’t the very word ecclesia mean “called-out ones?”
For me, one of the strongest arguments that shows God reserved for Himself the right to choose who He wants as His people is Paul’s teaching on the twin boys, Esau and Jacob. “Though the twins were not yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls, it was said [to their mother], ‘The older shall serve the younger.’ Just as it is written, ’Jacob I loved, and Esau I hated” (Rom. 9:10-13).
Now I don’t believe God actually “hated” Esau. He was just trying to convince Israel of His everlasting commitment to bless them by using strong contrasting language. Malachi even reminds Israel that God’s choice of Jacob over Esau was the proof of His love! (Mal. 1:1-3)
I’m convinced the fact that God has a chosen people has been the underlying cause of anti-Semitism in the world. Look at how angry and jealous Joseph’s brothers became when they saw the extreme favor their father showed towards him.
Nevertheless, that’s how God set it up. That’s why if you have received the gift of faith to believe in Yeshua (of whom Joseph was a foreshadowing) – be in awe! It means you are among those few chosen by Almighty God to be part of the remnant of Abraham and the coming Kingdom of God.
Just don’t be surprised when the world hates you for no apparent reason.

COMMENTARY: Is the State of Israel the Israel of God? - Brian Hennessy, ISRAEL TODAY

COMMENTARY: Is the State of Israel the Israel of God?

Wednesday, October 28, 2015 |  Brian Hennessy  ISRAEL TODAY

Although many Christians see the modern state of Israel as a miraculous fulfillment of prophecy, most still do not. Even many Jews denounce the State as being too secular, believing no legitimate national restoration can take place until Messiah comes.
But if God’s hand is truly involved in the creation of Israel today, as most Jewish and non-Jewish Zionists believe, how reverently should it be treated?
I think it is safe to say that Israel has always been a work in progress. It began when God summoned one man from among the nations, Abraham, and promised him the land of Canaan and a myriad of descendants. This prophecy was fulfilled to a degree when the family grew into a mighty nation that dominated the region for a time. Though it eventually crashed and burned for its covenant transgressions, God’s ultimate calling upon Israel to be the light of the world remains. One day a holy nation of righteous descendants will arise to govern the planet as the Messianic Kingdom of God.
Obviously, the Jewish state is not there yet. But surely this nation that was restored from the dustbin of history is on a path to becoming the Israel of God, is it not? Christians in the grip of Replacement Theology would quickly say – absolutely not! That the term “Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16) is a New Testament term to be applied only to the Christian Church, and has nothing to do with being Jewish. Or with the land of Israel.
At the other end of the spectrum many Messianic Jews and Christians who do believe the State will evolve into the Israel of God, believe it is only about being Jewish. They say any entity called Israel is exclusively a Jewish province, and that all this nation needs now is for the rest of the Jewish Diaspora to come home so Yeshua can return and set up his kingdom.
I would suggest a third view is closer to the truth.
Surely the “Israel of God” is just another term for the righteous remnant of all Israel. And that we who are in Yeshua, both Jew and non-Jew, are that portion of Abraham’s seed chosen by God to inherit all the promises in Messiah with representatives from all twelve tribes. However, the Jewish State of Israel today is primarily drawn from only two tribes, Judah and Benjamin, the descendants of the House of Judah. We are still missing a representative remnant from the scattered ten tribes of the northern kingdom of Israel to join with Judah in Messiah. Didn’t Yeshua promise his apostles “you will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel?” (Matt. 19:28) Where are these missing descendants if not the reborn followers of  Messiah who’ve been coming forth from the nations for the last 2000 years?
But how will this mostly secular State of Israel today, which includes a huge unsaved Arab population and a Christian minority, morph into the Israel of God as described in the Bible? It will take a mighty miracle, for sure! “Who has seen such a thing? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons” (Isa. 66:8)
Best advice is to hold on to your kippa! When God transforms today’s Israel into tomorrow’s Messianic kingdom, the world will never be the same again. Thank God!

COMMENTARY: Is Christian Love for Israel a Passing Fad?

COMMENTARY: Is Christian Love for Israel a Passing Fad?

Wednesday, August 12, 2015 |  Brian Hennessy  ISRAEL TODAY
Many Christian Zionists, when pressed, can’t really explain how they fell in love with Israel. Or why. Over and over you hear them say – “It just happened to me.” One minute they were totally ignorant and uncaring about the Jews and Israel, and the next they were passionate Zionists. Writing letters to newspapers to protest slanderous columns written against Israel. Volunteering to help scrub anti-Semitic graffiti off a local synagogue wall. Attending every pro-Israel rally within driving distance. And trying to figure how they can scrape up enough money to visit Israel.
Often they discover to their dismay they are the only one in their church who cares about Israel. And when they try to explain why Israel matters to fellow congregants they get that same blank stare they got when they told their non-Christian friends they just got saved.
Clearly this awakening of love has a divine origin. Who can explain it? But how will this historic courtship end? Is this love affair as doomed as Romeo and Juliet? Or as short-lived as a Hollywood romance?
One could hardly blame the Jews for not thinking so based on the most popular Christian end-time teaching called the Rapture. How many times have we publicly repented of our silence during the Holocaust? And sworn never to abandon Israel or the Jews again? Yet many Christian Zionists hold to this teaching that promises to fly them off to heaven at the first sign of trouble. Just when Israel needs us the most.
I don’t want to speculate here about how God’s salvation plan will unfold, or when. But if we truly believe Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel, and not just the church’s Christ, then his rescue plan must include “all Israel.” Both Jewish and non-Jewish elect. Which means His last-days salvation plan will somehow bring us alongside Jewish Israel to stand with her. And not leave her in the lurch.
Jesus, Jeremiah and Daniel all described the Great Tribulation as a time of unparalleled anguish that will overpower the whole earth with evil, including Israel. Jeremiah declared, “It is the time of Jacob’s distress!” But then quickly added, “But he will be saved from it!” (Jer. 30:7)
And Daniel told us that that when this “time of distress” occurs Michael will arise to protect the nation and “everyone who is found written in the book shall be rescued.” (Dan. 12:1)
I ask you, we who have come forth from the nations through faith in the Jewish Messiah – are not our names also written in that book? Is not the title of the book revealed at the end of the Bible to be – “The Lamb’s Book of Life?” (Rev. 21:27)
So I would say this courtship between Jewish Israel and the followers of Yeshua now awakening to the Hebraic roots of our faith will blossom into a full-blown, God-blessed family reunion. And we will all live happily ever after. To which I raise high my glass of Manischewitz, and toast, “L’chaim!” And forward Moses and Paul’s heartfelt wedding congratulations – “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!” (Rom. 15:10).

My Shoe is Missing! Mossad Stole It!

My Shoe is Missing! Mossad Stole It!

Sunday, June 14, 2015 |  Ryan Jones  ISRAEL TODAY
The Zionists have been blamed for everything from Middle East instability to global warming to bringing down financial markets. But perhaps their most nefarious crime to date is pilfering a single shoe from their most vocal detractors.
That is if you are able to take at his word a man like Asghar Bukhari, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK and one of the more outspoken and hostile critics of the Jewish state.
In a Facebook post that epitomized the ludicrous nature of the global anti-Israel movement, Bukhari claimed that earlier this week someone broke into his home while he was sleeping and stole a single shoe.
Convinced the disappearance of his shoe was an act of psychological warfare by the Zionists, Bukhari continued: “Now think about that, the only thing they took was a single shoe - they left one shoe behind to let me know someone had been there. …Of course I can't prove anything and that's part of the intimidation.”
And he was totally serious, sparking a hilarious social media response under the banner of #MossadStoleMyShoe.
One poster warned that while Cinderella had been Mossad’s first victim, she clearly hadn’t been its last. An Israeli ambassador wrote that he had Bukhari’s shoe, and that the two needed to talk. Someone even set up a Twitter account for Asghar’s Shoe.
Through it all, Bukhari maintained his position, adamant that all the jesting was yet another conspiracy to silence his legitimate charge of theft and his concerns over being targeted by such a dangerous organization.
“Funny thing is the zionists now trying to desperately hide their game of intimidation on my Twitter feed,” he wrote.
And then everything went from funny to just plain sad when Bukhari posted the following 15-minute YouTube video rant defending himself and his outrageous claims.

Loving Israel Biblically - Ze'ev Nevo

Loving Israel Biblically

Shalom

There are millions of Christians that say that they love Israel and the Jewish people. But do they really? What would be the  determining factor for us to identify a true Biblical love for Israel? The answer to this question can only be found in the Bible  itself.

Here I am, sitting in a big Christian event that is held to honor Israel. Christian leaders flew across the nation to take part in this special event. The Israeli flag is raised. The Israeli national hymn - Ha'Tikvah (meaning "the hope" in Hebrew) - is being sung. Passionate speeches are being spoken, emphasizing the fact that the land of Israel was given by God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- to the Jewish People.

You would assume that being a Jewish Israeli believer in Jesus-Yeshua, I would be overjoyed and encouraged to see such love and support from Christians for my people and my nation. After all, why shouldn't I be? Isn't it a blessing that so many Christians come together to show their unwavering support for Israel? Especially when at the same time so many US churches fall captive to false theology and extremely distorted historical facts and see Israel as an evil occupying oppressor?

As strange as it may sound to some at first, not just that I wasn't filled joy, I actually felt very uncomfortable all through the event, eventually  leaving with very cumbersome emotions, yet - more determined than ever to be used by God for Israel's sake!

So what is my problem? Why am I not satisfied? Let me tell you why. The attendees of this event were not just Christians; there were many Jewish people as well -- unsaved Jewish people. Also, not all the speakers were Christians; some of them were Jewish officials - yes, you guessed it right -- unsaved Jewish officials. Yet, absolutely nothing was mentioned throughout the entire event about the need for all people, Jews and Gentiles alike, to place their faith in Jesus-Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah of Israel! Not even a hint of it! Actually the message was quite the opposite. Every pair of Jewish ears that were there left with a clear message that Jews don'tneed to believe in Jesus-Yeshua.

Let me give you just one of the "highlights" of the evening. One of the speakers mentioned that his desire is to show the Jewish people something that they never saw before from Christians -LOVE. It was evident that in his mind he is trying to compensate for the Anti-Semitic horrors that were done to the Jewish people by the "Church" throughout history, demonstrated in the crusades ("Die because you killed God"), the Spanish inquisition ("Be baptized or Die") and finally in the Holocaust ("DIE! DIE! DIE!")

His solution is to show the Jewish people that there are Christians that actually don't want Jews to "convert" to Christianity, don't want Jews to be baptized - and more surprising - don't want Jews to die. Yes, there are Christians that simply "love" the Jewish people. Thus, his message is "We love you, we support you, we bless you."

But is this the message of the Bible? Is this the message of the Gospel? Is this the message that Jesus-Yeshua commissioned us to go and preach?? Is this a Biblical expression of love towards the Jewish people??? Clearly not!!!

This page cannot contain the almost endless list of verses that prove that Jews, like any other human beings, are sinners in need of a Savior that will save them from their sins. Why go far? A simple look at the first chapter of the first Gospel makes it as clear as possible. In Matthew chapter 1 we read that the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in his dream and said to him: "Joseph son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name YESHUA, for he will save his people from their sins."

You see, His name carries the purpose of His mission. God named His son, the Jewish Messiah of Israel - YESHUA - which in Hebrew meansSalvation. Why? Well... because HE will SAVEHIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.

Again, this basic Biblical truth, which is really the cornerstone of the Christian faith, can be easily proven by the Word of God with hundreds of verses, both from the Old Testament and the New Testament. I find it amazing that people that read the Bible and even write countless books about the Bible, even specifically about what the Bible says concerning Israel, can be blind to this fundamental truth.

We know from scripture that "the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel, of the glory of Christ, who  is this image of God." (2 Cor. 2:4). Apparently, not just that the god of this world blinds the Jewish people from seeing the light of the Gospel, he also blinds the minds of Christians - even Christians that "love Israel" - from understanding that they are called to love Israel  by sharing with them the Gospel, the message of GOD'S LOVE, as beautifully worded in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that WHOEVER believes in Him should NOT PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE."

Yes, "whoever" does not exclude the Jewish people! And yes -- without faith in YESHUA every Jewish soul will PERISH!!

So let's concentrate on what you and I can do to be the ones that LOVE ISRAEL BIBLICALLY. Simply put - give them the Gospel! And that's exactly what we do. As I shared on February's newsletter, we launched the "HEAR O ISRAEL" campaign - a cutting edge visual presentation of the Gospel of Matthew IN HEBREW on YouTube, a video per chapter.

Thanks to a few very generous donations we are able to move forward with a good number of chapters. If you haven't seen the Matthew chapter one video yet, here it is! Just click on the screen image below to watch. Let me warn you though -- it is in Hebrew! ...but thankfully we added English subtitles :) After you watch it, please don't forget to Like, Comment, and SHARE with everyone you know! I mean everyone!!

Watch the Video

Next month I will share an exciting report on how God is already using it among Israelis before we even had the chance to promote it!

We still need funds to be able to create and share more chapters of Matthew's Gospel with Israel. The cost turns out to be just about $100 per verse. Steve, please help us to
LOVE ISRAEL BIBLICALLY by sharing the Word of God with the people of Israel in the most effective way possible today - via YouTube!

Whether you are able to fund one verse today, one verse per month, or perhaps even a whole chapter (31 verses on average) -- your
Love Offering to Israel is highly needed and appreciated. Let's do it!

And one more thing before I go... to help you create more opportunities to share the Gospel with people around you, we made two "conversation sparking" T-Shirts that can now be purchased on our website. One says "For God so loved Y'all" (which is a hit in the south!) and the other says "Jesus made me Kosher". Click on the images to take a closer look!

For God so loved Y'all T-Shirt - Get Your Now! Jesus made me Kosher T-Shirt - Get Yours Now!

CLICK HERE to order your T-Shirt now! - and maybe even for your entire family! - and then GO and share the Gospel!!
